Hmm, now that we've got those covered, is there anything else we need to plan out before a thread can be made? o-o
 
The only question I have is of participants. It is going to be us three or is there a fourth because I saw some other posters.
Second off, I do have a feeling that we have a huge range of races we can play, is there a specific age range that we want to tackle?

And from the looks of it we are going to be members of a brand new crew (which is kinda funny because it won't just be the characters but the role-players who are in that role; I love irony), am I correct on that? Lastly, I always like to make a profile outline. Is there one that we want to make as a unit or is it free range and we just show each other?

I personally have no preference as to age range or races so I'll go with whatever the majority decides.

I think everyone agrees to the idea of a brand new crew right? Objections, anyone?

As for character profiles, I will post an OOC thread with a basic character skeleton to use (feel free to suggest things for it) as well as a plot outline of what we have already decided.

Does anybody object if I claim the position of pilot now?

Also, before I make an OOC I have a few more questions.

Do we want to be hired for an honest job or a dishonest job (merchant or smuggler)
Does anyone have an opinion on what the original job should be?
Does anyone have a name for the Hub planet?

And last, but maybe most important . . .
What should we name this RP? =D

I got an idea for the name: "Diamonds in the rough" :P we could maybe expand on that a little if you like o.o

I do not object to the brand new crew at all.
And that is perfect. I love following outlines and I'll add to it if needed. The only thing I request is there be no personality slot (at least for me) because I feel like it boxes character development.

You can take the pilot, I don't mind. I'm thinking that I want to be a navigator/tactician, if that is spot that others do not want to claim.

` Well if the job is somewhat hard that means that the crew will have to work very hard together so it will start some bonding and tension, which I think would be really good, so whatever we find to be "harder" than normal or for a starting crew to complete.

And I'm not against the name York provided.

I agree with @Ethereal on the personality thing. I normally don't do CS's but I know it would be easier in this case. Okay so the positions that need to be filed? Obviously four. I'm thinking we obviously need a pilot, and navigator/tactician sounds alright to me. But I also think we need an engineer/technician to fix the ship or other things if needed. Maybe a weapons specialist? Not sure about that one. Any other positions that we should have?

As far as honest or dishonest... I still haven't narrowed down a character yet. I'm kinda waiting to see what gender everyone else will play just to keep things balanced ya know? I have characters whom wouldn't hesitate to take a dishonorable job while others are a little more picky. I almost vote honorable just to keep that door open for characters whom and a little less shady than others.

Original job... UM /shrug again that depends on if it's meant to be a honorable or dishonorable job.

TATOOINE... I'm just kidding XD I do think Laskaris has a nice ring to it though.

I'm thinking mostly just name, age, profession, appearance. It helps to keep track of things sometimes :)

So we're agreed on people who were hired by somebody to do a job together right?

It also sounds like an honest job would be more flexible for character creation?
Maybe cargo transport or retrieval?

I'm happy with Laskaris as the hub planet name.

Is everybody happy with York's thread name?

As for positions other than engineer/technician/mechanic and weapons specalist that Zizikitty mentioned, the only other things I can think of are a cook or a doctor.

I haven't chosen a gender for my character yet. I was actually waiting to see what other people came up with as well ^^
 
I would really like that basic character sheet Falcon.

And yes, I think we have agreed to that. I am alright with it being a honest job, if it stays honest later, that is something we can decide as we go (because there are always trolls and scammers in the galaxies). I like the concept of cargo retrieval and transport.

I think the name is perfect for the thread.

Those positions are indeed critical Falcon, but I am thinking that there could be robots for them, which we could say the engineer made, if need be. NPCs allow for fun plot twists.

I haven't chosen a gender yet either, shall we roll a dice, the numbers that come first get to pick first? I don't care personally who gets what.

I kind of got sick which means my brain's not focusing too well.
I'll have the OOC and the character skeleton up soon, though probably not tonight.

I just started school and I do not have internet at home, so I am trying my best to do this as quickly and efficiently as possible. I should be done with it by Thursday.

Is that right? That leaves weapons specialist... *starts to get a maniacal smile* Does that mean I get to make a trigger happy person? Probably a lady? Probably an alien? 8D
