• His name is Mathias Ignacio, a six feet tall drink of water, handsome, with eyes the shade of a coming storm. On first impressions alone, he may seem unapproachable with how many people he surrounds himself with. They hang onto every word he says, down to the last syllable his lips make. He's an American, judging from his enunciation. It's daunting to try and gain his attention, and if you look like you're out of his league, his "friends" will have something to say about it. His reputation precedes him. You've heard he's not the nicest. If he wanted to, he could step all over you. You'll have to retreat and re-strategize.
  
  Then, your chance comes and you're alone with him. He parts his lips, and his voice is like a careful adagio; gentle and unrushed. There is kindness in his smile, and you're taken aback because he's not at all how'd you imagine he'd be. His hand brushes you by, and he pauses, but it doesn't seem like he's particularly bothered. If anything, it seems like he's hesitant to pull away, but he does, and you're forced to look up. And just like that, his back is disappearing from view. Just before he turns the corner, he turns his head and leaves you a friendly yet playful smile.
• Mathias is exactly 6'1" or roughly 185 cm. He's evidently well-built and physically active, but it's more than just that. He's imposing in appearance with his broad shoulders and slim waist. You can say Mathias's an attractive young-man. He keeps his hair in a fade--short on the sides and just a little longer on top. A closer look at his hairline and you notice he has a widow's peak.
• He's charismatic, and combined with a strong jawline, suddenly, he's a force to be reckoned with. If there was one word he'd use to describe himself, it'd be unbothered. He's restless at times, and not one thing has his attention for too long. But once he's focused on a single goal, he's ambitious, and proven to be hard-working. He'll see to it to the very end, in other words.
  
  As far as first impressions go, he's a little intimidating, but get to know him, and suddenly he is wearing his heart on his sleeve. It's made of pure, undeniable, gold, and false pretenses dissipate. Kidness is ultimately what motivates him, though he's not necessarily naive. No, in fact, it's quite the opposite. When it comes to the feelings and emotions of others, he's extraordinarily perceptive. Nothing gets past him.
• Mathias has a loving family, he'd say. He came from a witch mother, and a no-maj father. He's the second of three kids: Bryan, the youngest brother, and Genevieve, the eldest daughter. Once his father's work was taken to Britain, they moved along with him, and begins Mathias's academic career at Hogwarts.
• Mathias has the rare ability to speak Parseltongue. He still doesn't have a strong grasp of it, yet.
• Mathias's wand is made from the wood of a yew tree. Because it's classified as a closed-pore softwood, it's considerably flexible, yet the hardest of softwoods. Garrick Olllivander notes that yew wands are considerably rare, and their owners are typically just as unusual. "The wand of yew is reputed to endow its possessor with the power of life and death, which might, of course, be said of all wands; and yet yew retains a particularly dark and fearsome reputation in the spheres of dueling and all curses".
  
  The core of his wand is made of Rougarou hair, the trademark of American wandmaker Violetta Beauvais. It's said to have an affinity for the dark arts as the Rougarou itself is a highly dangerous beast.
• Belongs to house Slytherin, currently, but was once a member of the Wampus house back when he still lived in the United States.
