"You're doing a lot by being here with me." she said hugging him. She smiled warmly at him, "You're supporting me right now. That's all I need."

He looked at her with slight tears in his eyes, forcing up a smile. "Isn't it silly... having a sick person comfort me... and they say that I'm helping by doing that..." He pulled her hand up and kissed it, looking into her eyes. "... you're amazing.."

She blushed, "No, you are." she said kissing his forehead. She was indebted to him. He was all that she had outside of the few friends she had. She didn't have family, so he was the only one she held dear.

"That's not true. I just happen to not be a heartless person." He smiled and kissed her lips shortly, running his hand through her hair. "And you are amazing. I wouldn't have been able to live with cancer... never lose faith in yourself."

She blushed and looked at him her eyes tearing a little. She buried her face into his chest, "Thank you..." she said muffled by his shirt.

"You welcome.." He muttered and patted the top of her head, running his hands through her hair. He was happy like this. With a person as strong as her there was no reason for her to not survive this.

It was next day, the morning of Risa's surgery. She was so worried that she couldn't sleep. It was a Monday and she hadn't been able to tell the teacher about her missing class on the account of brain surgery. She looked over at Cecil and smiled. He was still here by her side. He poked him to get his attention. (Sorry x ,x )

He was sitting there, and didn't even flinch as they started the surgery. He was allowed to sit there and hold her hand, and tell her she was the strongest person on earth attempting to comfort her.

She smiled at him before drifting to sleep. A few minutes afterwards the surgery started. At a certain point a nurse escorted him out. They didn't want him to worry him about their findings.

He sat outside feeling not even a little bit relieved that he wasn't there. He was so worried. Probably, in a moment, a doctor would walk out that door and... no, no he definitely couldn't allow himself to think that. It would be too much.

A nurse came out an hour later, " Are you Cecil?" she asked as she walking closer. She looked at the attractive man and saw how worried he was. She could tell it was him she needed to talk to. She sits next to him.

(SORRY!!! i took me so long X , x )

"Yes? Is she alright?" He felt something blocking his throat and his voice didn't sound normal. His hands were clenching at each other, his knuckles going white. He looked like someone waiting for a death sentence. His green eyes were filled with worry and he was impatiently tripping with his foot.

"I just wanted to give you an update. The doctor told me to tell you that they had found another tumor. The good news is that they can remove this one complete since it'd really small and they were about to remove the initial tumor completely. They're patching her up now and sending her to recover." she explained, smiling warmly

He couldn't help himself but smile in relief, his shoulders immediately responding and relaxing, his clenched hands finally leaving one another. He ran a hand through his hair and looked at the nurse with a thankful smile.
"Thank you, really. When can I see her again?" He looked at the nurse with his bright green eyes shining in worry. He looked as if he had been dragged directly out of some cheesy fairytale.

"In roughly an hour. She still needs her rest so don't get too excited around her. I'll take you to her recovery room once it's ready." She explained.

"I... I understand. I'll be waiting here." He felt happy but not exactly excited. After all, she was still a recovering patient and that made him feel a little anxious about seeing her. But he was so happy that she wasn't going to die. He'd been sitting in the last few hours waiting for that.
