Jae was thrown backwards as the boat jumped. She locked her knees on the bench, barely keeping herself from being thrown into the stern of the boat. She sat up and rolled her shoulders a little. "Yeah, I'm okay.." She looked into the water and behind them. "Okay..I'll pull." She said shifting Jack to keep his little body dry and shifting towards the edge of the boat, figuring how she'd jump without flipping the boat, something she'd only ever done successfully 2 out of 3 times.

Vance used the oar to steady himself as he moved over the edge of the boat, his shoes hitting the pocked seafloor. "There are rocks-- careful," he warned, holding the boat more or less level. He closed his eyes as a wave pushed him sideways a few inches. While the water was only up to his waist, the waves were nearly two feet higher.

Jae waited until the wave had passed before sliding out, taking hold of the back of the now-light and rocking boat. "Okay..one-two-three.." On three, she started pushing, her shoes slipping on the seafloor, but her tennis shoes protecting her feet from various rocks and edges in the floor. Another wave crashed over and she spluttered a little, having accidently inhaled some of the water, but she continued pulling. Every few seconds she glanced down, hoping she'd see her feet soon, because it made her nervous to be in such murky water.
