Hikaru had a very small family, his only relatives being his mother, father, sister, and grandmother. He grew up surrounded by love and warmth but also climactic energy and the constant sense of urgency. Without a support system, his family had to make enough money to keep them all fed, clothed, and healthy. Hikaru learned to waste not and want not at an early age. He respects his mother and father greatly for their hard work and dedication.
