It is not enforced, but it is encouraged for you to browse through posted requests to find ones that you are willing to take on.

It is also encouraged that you browse through all the shops to find a style that you prefer.
Please, try your best to be patient with our artists! Give them the time they need to fill your requests, and our artisans will do their best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Here are some tips to remember when shopkeeping and requesting in this section of the forum:
- Shopkeepers!
Try to look for requests that you are comfortable fulfilling.
Don't feel stressed about this, though, and try not to take on too much work to handle!
- Requesters!
Try to look for shopkeepers that suit your style and art preference.
Please be patient for someone to answer your request!
- Banners, avatars, and signature requests will be archived after 3 months of no activity.
All you have to do to keep your request thread open is by making sure you respond to posts, or by posting yourself, to let the moderators know you are still waiting for your request to be fulfilled.
If you want a thread retrieved from the archives, please submit a Thread Moderation Form!
- Keeping your threads active can yield you multiple results from different members.
- Shopkeepers! Posting new art samples or finished requests from time to time helps to show that you are still an active member in this area, and is likely to draw requesters!
- Requesters! If, after some time, you have not received any communication from a shopkeeper whose art you've requested, please don't be afraid to give a gentle reminder. Again, have patience with our artists, but persistence is also necessary!
- If you are looking to request original character portraits, please head over to our Character Portrait Studio to open a portrait request, and browse through our many artists that are offering paid and even free commissions!
