I mean, I'm just guessing here, but like... Imagine the suit as a gem with thirteen different faces. As a whole it's got a very simple appearance. Shine a light on it and suddenly you have the details of each face shining out and visible. It's more dynamic within the singular one, but when you focus on one face, you get the magnified version of it showing on the wall (Or whatever). Each one would, by my guess, be an extreme of the full suit. You'd use the full suit as one, but you'd have to recognise all the extremes before the whole.
Essentially it would be focusing on each card one at a time, rather than using the aspects altogether. If one card focuses on water, or fluidity, then that's the effect of that particular card, and others would be less effective while accessing that particular one. You'd have a full suit, and that would be an impact, but depending on the situation, one would show stronger than the rest.
If that doesn't make any sense, I apologise, I'm terrible at explaining stuff. Of course, it might not matter anyway, as I could totally be wrong.
