INTRODUCTION​

Dwelling in the hilly pine forest in the lake territories, ShadowClan takes pride in their stealth and independence. They are fierce in battle, valuing strength and cunning.

TERRITORY​

ShadowClan is located in the lake territory described in The New Prophecy ark onwards. It is a hilly territory, covered in a mostly-pine forest, with the occasional oak tree, and very little underbrush. The ground is covered in a thick layer of pine needles that soften pawsteps. The eastern and western borders follow two twolegpaths, while the southern border leads to the lake and the northern border is against loner lands. To the east is the Tribe of Rushing Water, and to the west is DarkClan. The territory is dotted by various ponds and streams, some of which feed into the lake.

CAMP - Camp is located in a valley between three hills that are steep enough to not be easily climbable, surrounded by towering pine trees. The hills make up the northern, western, and southwestern borders, while directly to the east there is a large pond. Camp entrance is to the southeast, with laurel shrubs serving as a wall. A gap in the reinforced shrubs is the entrance. Most of the pine needles that coat the territory have been moved away, revealing a soft dirt as the floor. Just east of camp there is a small pond filled with fresh water, where much of the rain that falls drains into. Meetings are held on a branch overhanging camp known as Highbranch.

Towards the pond, the leader's den is located in a small hollow in the side of the hill. Closer to the laurel wall, the medicine den is on in a divot in the ground, protected by the overhanging bushes. Where the laurel wall meets with the southeastern hill, there is a large boulder with two cavities on opposing sides, serving as the warrior and apprentice dens. Against the western hill the elders' den sits, comprised on branches piled together. In the crook where the two northernmost hills meet is the nursery, made up of a large honeysuckle bush reinforced with branches. Towards the center of camp there is a large tree stump where fresh kill is piled around.

TWOLEGNEST - At the end of the eastern Twolegpath sits a large twolegnest. While it is only occupied during the warmer moons, it has an ample and well tended to herb garden. In the colder moons, it makes a great hunting spot for small rodents.

LAKESIDE SLOPE - A hill that borders the lakeshore, it has a steep incline on one side while, towards the lake, it is much more of a gentle tilt. The trees grow thinner here, allowing for more lush vegetation to take root.

TWIN PINES - Two towering pine trees towards the northern border that provide ample shade and hunting opportunities.

CROOKED ELM - A twisted elm tree, under which there is a small area of soft sand and dirt where one can safely train or spar.

LEADER: The leader is the highest power in the clan, and their word is law. Only StarClan can trump their decisions. Leaders have the power to promote, demote, hold meetings, speak with StarClan, go to gatherings, hold ceremonies, and make political decisions. They can also give out tasks, patrols, and enforce the warrior code.

DEPUTY: The deputy has some of the same powers as the leader, though not as many. The deputy is a highly respected member of the clan, and is promoted by the leader due to hard work, activity, and loyalty. The deputy is the leaders most trusted adviser and always accompanies them to gatherings. Deputies also give out daily tasks, patrols, and manage the clan while the leader is away or incapacitated.

MEDICINE CAT: The medicine cat is one of the most important figures in the clan. They have an immense knowledge of herbs and healing, and are responsible for treating all of the clans sick and injured members. They also have the ability to speak to StarClan and often receive visions, so they are a trusted adviser to the leader.

MEDICINE CAT APPRENTICE: A medicine cat apprentice is chosen sometimes by the leader, but mostly by the medicine cat. They are expected to train under the current medicine cat in order to take over for them, and their main job is to help when they can and learn from the medicine cat.

WARRIORS: Warriors are the majority of the clan, and are the adult members. Warriors are ages 12 moons and up. Warriors mainly run patrols, gather food for the clan, and train apprentices. Anybody can be a warrior.

They don't have any particular responsibilities but they often tell stories to the younger members of the clan. Anyone can play an elder.

Personality:
- Lonestep is a mild tom at first glance; an easy going smile on his face with warm and welcoming amber eyes. He even sounds pleasant, at least until you get to know him more. Or he, you. Lonestep is notorious for teasing his clan mates and taunting other clans. All in good fun of course, he simply loves getting reactions out of others, the entertainment amuses him. Beyond his usual antics Lonestep enjoys telling stories to kits and apprentices and will even shoot the breeze with the elders when he finds the time. He can be charismatic and charming, traits that help belie the clever and wily personality beneath. When something interests him he tends to focus heavily on it, spending all his free time analyzing and studying it. But don't mistake this laid back troublemaker for a pacifist. Lonestep can be a dirty fighter and has no qualms with getting his paws dirty, especially if the safety of his clan is involved. That protective nature is further extended to kits. The tom does not tolerate harm to any kit, clan born or not, and will demonstrate his contempt tenfold.

Likes:
- Lonestep enjoys the company of kits and apprentices, teasing his clan mates, and enjoying the freedom of roaming ShadowClan territory. He has a habit of toying with those who interest him and disappearing for hours on end doing what only StarClan knows. One time he returned to came soaking wet with the smuggest look on his face... He does enjoy rain and thunder storms and enjoys late night strolls.

Dislikes:
- Sickness. Lonestep loathes it. Perhaps the only time one might see the ever present lackadaisical smirk leave his face. If but for a moment. Lonestep holds a particularly nasty grudge for Owls, likely a residual hate born from the time a young kit had been taken.

Fears:
- Its natural to fear a badger or a fox. It's natural to quake before the thunderous paws of the twoleg beasts. So of course Lonestep has fears... Or were you hoping for more? You can try and ask, but be prepared for a smile beneath those charming eyes.

Personality:
- Thicketfur is a serious she-cat who is utterly devoted to her clan and duties. Hardworking, strict, and task focused, Thickfur tends to be a bit of a stick in the mud but around friends and loved ones she'll be more inclined to show off her fun-loving side. She had Lizardtongue grew up together and share a strong brother-sister bond despite being from two entirely different litters. Despite her overly stern nature Thickfur is very compassionate and patient. Nothing pleases her more than seeing young cats succeed and grow into themselves. Blame it on her innate motherly pride but she'll openly brag about her apprentices. Just be mindful that you don't anger her. Thicketfur tends to hold a grudge despite her best efforts to be sensible and fair-minded. She has a strong sense of pride and doesn't like being made a fool of.

- Staying busy, providing for the clan, training apprentices, and basking in the early morning sun.

Dislikes:
- Distractions, lazing about, and excuses.

Fears:
- Never wants to feel useless. Thicketfur doesn't do well when she doesn't have something productive to do.

- Her mother passed when she was very young, barely 6 moons old and so was taken in by Lizardtongue's parents, Robinheart and Adderhead. The two were fast friends from birth and continued to maintain that bond well into their warriorhood. Thicketfur looks up to Adderhead and idolized him as both a warrior she wishes to become as well as her own father. (Robinheart and Adderhead are NPCs if that is alright. Anyone use them as they see fit).

- A hellishly temperamental tom. Lizardtongue has a smart mouth and a tongue that has quite the bite. He's prickly, short tempered, and holds grudges like no one's business. But despite how sharp that bark may be he's not as physically imposing. Sure, he towers over most of his clan-mates and one glare from him can send kits and apprentice running but in reality he's a big softy. He's particularly protective of Thicketfur, admires her ambition and confidence, and shares her unwavering devotion to the clan. Despite being caustic, Lizardtongue is a bit of a romantic and tends to keep his attractions to himself, which usually just make his surly attitude worse despite his best intentions. He tries.

Likes:
- He enjoys helping the medicine cat gather herbs, letting the braver kits put flowers and pretty leaves in his fur, and hunting with Thicketfur. He enjoys his quiet time.

Dislikes:
- Getting wet, being bothered, getting up early, and attracting too much attention.

- Being unwanted. Disappointing his clan. Dogs and foxes.

- One were to compare Hollowfang to a snake, they might be hard pressed to find the difference. Sly and cunning with a sadistic streak, Hollowfang is not the kind of tom you'd want to trust with secrets. And he loves secrets. With that in mind, Hollowfang is indeed a bit of a gossip but its typically a one way street, he soaks up information, but his lips remained sealed... for a price of course. He's a manipulator, an opportunist, and yet one is really sure of his ambitions and its difficult to trust every word that comes off that silver-tongue of his. For all his shady faults however, not once has Hollowfang ever given his clan a reason to doubt his loyalty to them as a whole. He's fought fiercely for them, trained strong warriors, and followed orders accordingly. Still... that serpentine smile still raising hackles.

Physical Description—
Very slim shoulders, small paws and longer limbs. Smooth, sleek black fur with no blemishes and his gaze is shut due to a mutation that caused him to not develop eyeballs.

Personality—
Inkylotus is a very gracious cat, always willing to help and has a kinder heart. He is very intelligent, has a close connection to Starclan and is a fantastic advice giver. Though Inkylotus is very self-concious and is always second guessing himself about his place in the clan. Feeling like an outsider often because he has no eyesight, or eyeballs for that matter, and wonders if he had taken the correct path in life. Personality—
Smokepaw is a very stoic cat and often has very little to say in terms of words. He is a very talented fight, an ametur hunter, and tends to keep to himself. Physical Description—
An average sized cat with medium length fur. Their coat is a cinnamon brown with white on their face, chest and underbelly. They have bright golden eyes with flecks of amber in them.

Personality—
Fallowcreek is a graceful and kind of a stuck up cat. They're overly confident, take critism harshly and like to keep themselves in tip top condition. Not much of a fighter, they're a fantastic hunter and can be quiet brash in their 'advice' help. They tend to think highly of themselves and are quite opinionated on the matter as well. Ryepaw is a spitfire. She is loud, opinionated and isn't afraid to get her paws in the dirt. She loves to play fight, explore and always looking for the next adventure on the horizon. Jaggedstar is an extroverted tom with very few dislikes in the world; he is a realist, however, and tends to see things in a more brutal way. If one were to come up to him with regrets and/or complaints, he would most likely try and talk to them about it. Most conversations about decisions usually leads to two ways with him; a riddle, or an argument. Perhaps for some, one might even get a different reaction from him. He takes criticism well, but he doesn't take a challenge in good mind. He doesn't like having his authority challenged, and isn't afraid to assert his dominance over others around him. To some, he is a martyr; and to some, he is a tyrant who rules with cruel decision. He takes all matters into consideration before making a decision, but some decisions might not make people happy. However, with all of this aside, he is a loyal tom to his clanmates. His ultimate goal is to lead ShadowClan into prosperity, even if sacrifices need to be made. He is charming at first glance, rather flirtacious and confident. Conniving, even. Smug. He enjoys getting under other peoples skin, watching them react to his advances; watching them back down. When it comes to friends, he is overprotective and bold, not being afraid to stand up for them. However, this comes at a cost; he has severe trust issues, and it is hard to truly break past the shell that is Jaggedstar. Perhaps one day, someone could see the true Jaggedstar; a man whom has lost much, and has never allowed himself to truly love someone.

***APPEARANCE***

A tall, long-legged scrawny and ugly tom. According to his breed, he is primarily a persian mixed with many different other types of breeds. Unlike his brother, Corvidtongue was whacked with the ugly stick by StarClan. (Not that he's bothered by it.) His fur is thick, long, and definitely has probably never been properly groomed. From his own awkward attempts at grooming, his fur is matted in certain places- some of his fur even missing in patches, primarily around his tail. He is constantly shaking, as if shivering. His fur is supposed to be a ghostly white, but instead it is caked in dirt around his paws and occasionally around his body. His face is flat, with eyes resembling the color of a swamp. At the corner of his eyes, crust tends to build up and eventually fall off with time; however, that leaves the edges of his eyes raw and red. His eyes slightly bulge from his head. His jaw is misplaced, with a severe overbite and crooked, sharp bottom canines.

***PERSONALITY***

Corvidtongue is the epitome of when someone loses a screw in their brain. Traumatized by the death of his twin brother, he refuses to accept his brothers death and instead claims he is still alive. He interacts with his brother on a daily basis, almost constantly- talking to the air as if he is truly there still. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, with low intelligence; with him being an orphan, he doesn't truly understand what it's like to have parents. So he finds cats with devoted parents to be weird. However, pushing past his odd personality reveals a jokester, cheerful soul. He is a bit twisted, with a sick sense of humor and horrible jokes; but he doesn't act in such a way with the intentions to scare people. He was raised by his brother, but was never taught proper manners aside from the Warrior Code. He is messy, isn't up to 'social' standards in mannerisms. Underneath the grime and ugliness externally, is a warm heart that yearns for belonging.

History: She is clan-born. Thought she fall in love with a house cat Casper when she was Still a young warrior and got accidentally pregnant. She left the clan for a short of a time to be with Casper, but when her kits died by birthing except for one, but she was too weak. So she needed to make a hard decision and gave the kit to Casper, which brought it to the two legs, where she could have better chances to survive. She gets back to her clan, never seeing the Casper or her kit any longer.
