Sexuality and Porn!

I'm pretty straight.

If I were to define my sexuality precisely, I'd say that I'm straight leaning bi-curious.

I've had a few trysts with girls now and then, but those have all been kind of exploratory - nothing long term. By and large most of my sex has been with men.

BUT, like Diana, for my tastes in porn I am woman-centric. The female form is something I find highly erotic, maybe because society and media have brainwashed me, or maybe because it's just how my brain works (I lean towards brainwashed). But I am so much so, in fact, that my preferred categories of porn are solo female masturbation or lesbian. When I do watch straight porn it's the female-friendly, sensualized glamourish stuff!

This needs to be put in the OP:

Anyway....

I'm straight straight and straighter. I look at the wimmens and the wimmens alone. Can't even stand it when there's a man in there. I mean, I have nothing against homosexuality, but I just can't bring myself to look at stuff with a man even peripherally involved.

No offence meant, but that just sounds like you've been watching bad porn. I'd recommend watching some more amateur porn, since they tend to have more human expressions and movements, and mostly genuine passion for what they're doing.
I do watch mostly amateurish stuff, because the scripted....or whatever the hell you want to call it crap is worse. The fake moaning always makes me laugh though. If anything it's good for when I need a mood pick me up, just not that kind of mood pick me up.

And while we're on the topic of porn. Am I the only one who's SO won't watch it with them? I've offered to watch it with my hubby tons of times and he always turns me down. :(

[NOTE-WRITING INTENSIFIES]

I'm to my knowledge Heterosexual.
And any porn I ever tend to watch (which isn't that common mind you) is straight porn.

Not sure why, I'm a complete and utter supporter of the LGBT community but Porn always seems a bit off to me when both sex's aren't at least present.
I don't get it.

Also note I only tend to watch it 2-3 times a year.
But that 2-3 times are more like "A week or 2 of going through sites, getting bored, and then dropping it for a while".
Though overtime there's been a steady increase.

As for the Kinsey Scale?

Completely Straight it seems.
I'm not surprised.

Err, how to explain this... I could say I'm bisexual, but if I'm allowed to use all these fancy new terms, I'm actually demisexual. I find people aesthetically pleasing, but don't really feel any kind of romantic and sexual attraction until I get to be friends with them and know them better. And this has happened to me with both men and women.

Now, when it comes to smutty roleplays, I only do malexmale for a variety of reasons. I always find female characters uninteresting in roleplays. It's as if people forget women are normal people, and portray annoying stereotypes and uninteresting characters -in my opinion-, so heterosexual and lesbian RPs aren't for me. On top of that, I'd feel uncomfortable roleplaying a female character myself. In the smutty aspect, it'd feel to close and personal. In the romantic aspect, for some reason I feel like I'm cheating on my boyfriend .-. I don't mind if he engages in those kind of roleplays, and I don't feel the same if I'm playing a male character, it's so weird Dx

When it comes to literature and consuming fiction in general, I also prefer malexmale relationships, but I love other kind of pairings too. Sometimes certain characters just belong together <3

When it comes to porn... I can't stand men. Unless I'm attracted to them because they're great and funny people, men in general seem ugly to me, bordering on disgusting. And it's so hard to find good looking men in porn >.< Because all porn producers care about is the appearance of the genitals in the case of men, not the rest of the body. So malexmale isn't an option in this case. I only like heterosexual porn, and the girl can't have fake breasts. Those irk me.

Gosh, I seem so picky xD

Well I took the test that @Jorick posted, and received the following result:

jC14sAA.png

After taking the test I find myself conflicted. Primarily because the test only consisted of fifteen questions and did not have "unsure" as an choice for any of the fifteen. Also can one even really cram the large umbrella that is the topic of sexuality into a mere fifteen questions? Thusly I find my result questionable, yet partly true. I don't really have any fetishes, I don't I really find anyone to be more sexually attractive over the other, and according to me current boyfriend I am extremely hard to "turn on". However, the fact that my boyfriend and I do have intercourse, and I do find some kind of pleasure from it makes my result incorrect. I am able to have it under extreme circumstances and a massive amount of effort, but at the same time I would prefer to not have it at all. It just doesn't seem necessary to me, but that doesn't mean I won't do it. I've done a little research on different possible sexualities, and I've come to the conclusion that I am Gray-A.

As for porn, I only watched it out of curiosity. I've watched different kinds, and honestly didn't have a strong reaction to it. I find that reading BL/Yaoi to be the most stimulating, but I don't really act on it. Generally when I watch, read, look at images I say "oh that's attractive" but when I say that I mean in the sense that I find that to be the most appealing, not the most arousing. I'm generally just looking at it all from an artists perspective, and sometimes even saying "it would have been better if they did this instead."

xD

I have to agree.
The quiz was surprisingly short, and had a lack of answers for things people were still questioning, which considering the nature of sexuality is to be expected.

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, what is that?

Well, "Grey" is something you'd typically view as being in between whit or black. Either it's border-line white, or border-line black. The "A" is just short for Asexual. To be very simple about it, it just means I am borderline Asexual and border-line sexual, but the actual "term" or "definition" of it is:

  1. Individuals who identify with gray asexuality are referred to as being gray-A, a grace or a gray ace. Within this spectrum includes terms such as "hyposexual", "demisexual", "semisexual", "low sexual intensity", "asexual-ish" and "sexual-ish".

Really? If I had a SO that ever wanted me to watch porn with her, I'd most likely jump at that chance. But everyone is different, so yeah.

Anyways, for my answer:
I'm straight. I like girls. Girls are fun to watch.

My tastes range anywhere from amateurish stuff, all the way to professional. I'm not very picky when it comes to porn because of the reason I'm watching it.

Um, it really depends on my mood, but I find myself watching the more vanilla stuff, even though my in-person tastes are more... non-vanilla.

Oh, as for the Kinsey Scale thing:

That sounds about right. Oh, also thanks @Vio and @Gen. Gwazi Magnum for the help.

Oh, as for the Kinsey Scale thing, I am a 0. And yeah, that sounds about right. I would post my results here, but I dunno how to do that. I'll edit this if anyone wants to help me out with that.
You just need a way to screenshot your computer.
In my case I use a program called Snagit, but that cost 60 dollars (unless if you're a pirate).

But your computer should have some built in screenshot feature.
If it doesn't there's probably a free program out there that will let you.

Oh okay. I've screenshotted once before, but I forgot how. Guess I'll just google it haha.

I'm not really sure how educated or knowledgeable people are in the Ace Umbrella so I'm going to provide a few links here explaining it further. I figured this will be fine since this topic is discussing sexuality as a whole, and I really would like to go further on the subject of the Ace Spectrum.

Yes I know Wiki isn't a reliable source, but it's always a good place to get your feet wet.

I found this article to be extremely helpful.

I suggest reading up on these articles, or doing your own research ^^

I just looked through the provided Links.
Clarifies a lot of questions and confusion I had with Gray-A's.

Though there is one thing I thought of that I don't think the links covered.
If one is A-Gray, is there anything else added to the name to determine what sex they're attracted to?
Say if an A-Gray's only cases of sexual attraction has been to the other sex, are they Hetero-A-Gray, or are they simply A-Gray?

That's a very good question! Unfortunately I do not know the answer to that. I've only just discovered the sexuality so I'm not really an expert on it. I assume the instances where a Grace actually is sexually aroused is so spontaneous that it doesn't matter. Personally for me, in my own experience, I don't care who I would have it with on a moral standard. In some cases I refer to myself as Pansexually A-sexual.

I like to think about it like this; pokemon have two types. They have a main type and then a sub type. For example there is Water/fairy types. Water being the primary type and fairy the underlying type. For me I am primarily an gray-A, but I wouldnt care whom I had it with if I were to ever have it, which also makes me pansexual.

That's just me though, and my own way of trying to make sense of it all.

AVEN is a great source of information about everything under the asexual umbrella. That link is to their definition of gray a.

But in my experience, people often attach their orientation to where they fall in the ace spectrum.

I should clarify in advance, none of this is meant to come off as hostile.
My main method of learning/understanding things is by questioning stuff that either confuses me or doesn't make sense to me.
Personally for me, in my own experience, I don't care who I would have it with on a moral standard. In some cases I refer to myself as Pansexually A-sexual.
From that perspective though I have no issues with having sex with a male from a moral perspective either.
But I'm Heterosexual because I have no sexual attraction, will or intention to having sex with a man. But I still don't see the act bad morally.
Nor would I see myself as immoral if I took part in it for whatever reason.

Does that mean you could become sexually attracted to both sexes?
Or do you mean you simply don't care who you do with physical act with, may there be attraction or not?

So something like Hetero-Gray A or Homo-Gray A would be a thing then?
