Seven Deadly Sins - Forgotten Aspects

Thassil struggled for a moment. He held his armored head in his hand to steady the heavy drum beat he sustained. Blinking and after a moment or two of recovering did he return from his dazed state. "I had hoped for more time" The presence of Galnor was surprising to say the least. He was dangerous especially now when the Aspects were not at their highest power. Getting up did Thassil hold Maw tightly. Before he could make a move Rayon had appeared before him. His abilities in battle were amazing and the teleportation or Ferryman ability was unique. Listening did Thassil quickly understand Rayon's plan. Thassil stood beside him lifting maw and began charging power. The hammer could take anything and the power charged into it could amplify an attack with it. Charging power into the top of the hammer Thassil nodded "Now Rayon" As the power charged was enough. Having been hit by Galnor he had the split second to activate his ability Savage Conflict. Now he was ready.

Returning to the Mountain Galnor was running rampant hitting everything and trying to attack the Aspects and Holy Knight. Even for a hatred fueled monster he was dangerous. But as Thassil appeared beside Rayon his hammer was inches from Galnor's chest. Galnor looked down then looked at Thassil eyes widened at his mistake. The leader of the Aspects returned his gaze "Tell Asema i will see her soon....Desolate Strike!" The end of Maw hummed and Galnor raised his chained mace only to be blasted clean off the mountain. The form of Galnor flew past the furthest peak and when he landed did the power mushroom out into an explosion on the horizon. Thassil then turned to Rayon "Well done Rayon, a successful move indeed. He won't return being the dog he is. Not unless an Impurity is with him......yet something tells me he was only scouting us" Sensing for Galnor he only felt rage go further and further as the impurity ran from the group

His grip felt like her wrist was caught under a boulder. Before insulting punching her into the chest which would send her flying, Reyon grabbed her ankle and teleported her before she would make contact with anything. She wished he saved her from the punch, but she'll take her wins where she can. He continued to warp her around until dropping her off at Carmin side. "Appreciate it-" Before she could say Reyon name she had coughed up blood. "Bastard packs a punch. Be careful."

Reyon warps away and moments later an attack that was a surprise to them all struck the giant demon and blasted the arrogant ass off the mountain and far away. "Good riddance. Next time I see that guy, I'll kill him." Bella vomited blood as her internal injury begins to heal.

  • Personality: Lux is many things, but she is not a fighter – she doesn’t have it naturally in her. She can be many things – a healer, protective and advisor when necessary because of her soft-hearted and warm personality. However, the world has shown her an image that has hardened her heart and erased her prior naivety to the cruelty that can exist. Though she has undeniably become a cautious and more reclusive character, Lux has far from ceased her habits of helping whoever she can. Now, she is just a lot less confident in herself and her decisions on who has good intentions and who does not. Her desire to help and protect the innocent does not alone stem from natural kindness but also a sense of guilt she developed due to mistakes in her past harming others. Unfortunately, Lux is a horrible judge of character in others – a trait she possesses that has been particularly troublesome. Generally, Lux is quite the calm character who rarely loses her composure, but she is not perfect and sometimes she falls prey to anger and hate though she tries to avoid feeling these emotions in particular. When Lux comes to care for people, she does so fully. When people become particularly important to this Aspect, she is protective and tends to dote on them in an almost motherly fashion.

  • Special Ability: Empower
Lux can strengthen up her allies in various ways. Not being the fighter type, it allows her to act as a support to boost her comrades. Often, it is used in battles as it is a temporary buff to her allies’ powers or physical states. Most commonly, she uses this to empower her minor abilities such as healing and defensive magic. However, there is a ‘last resort’ stage to this power with Lux. Instead, she disables her buffs on others and focuses on empowering herself. The more she buffs herself, the less clarity she holds mentally and the more exhausted afterward she tends to be.

    Sub-abilities:
Defensive magic: Lux has a minor affinity to creating shields and casting defensive magic. Most commonly, this appears in the form of a rounded, bright white solidified shield of light when cast. When she empowers it, the size of her shield can grow.

Healing: Like her defensive magic, Lux can heal. This is normally used in conjunction with empowering if required to heal allies. It appears in the form of a white light encompassing her hands above any wounds. When empowered, this light wraps itself completely around targeted areas/people.

Fairy abilities: Like all fairies, Lux can levitate and shapeshift her form. Typically, Lux always has magic running as she keeps herself shapeshifted into that of a human and in result, hides her wings [and makes her look older than her actual form].

Special Weapon: Luminescence [Staff in Image]

Strengths: With her preference for magic and her continuous use, her magical power is quite high even before using her ability to empower on herself. She is stubborn in her goals and will aim to complete them regardless of factors in her way.

Weaknesses: Lux is not a fighter at heart, it is something that is not comfortable with and so using her ‘last resort’ per se is something she is not often seen doing. Furthermore, the use of it causes her to lose clarity and control, becoming a creature that reacts more than anything. Her magical power is also not unlimited, empowering herself or others to high can cause her exhaustion – even more so when she overly powers herself as far as she can go – there is a time limit and energy limit to how long she can do this. Outside of buffing herself, she is quite weak physically and her stamina poor. If she was unable to use her ‘Empower’, she would be defeated quite easily most likely in a hand-to-hand or close combat.

  • Like all fairies, Lux was born was nature in the fairy forest. More specifically, she was born from pristinely white flowers that grew near the river bank. It was due to the bright white flowers and her light coloured wings she became known as Lux. However, unlike most fairies, it quickly became apparent that she didn’t garner all of the natural fairy abilities as she was evidently unable to read the hearts of people which left her blind to the intentions of others. In fact, she was terrible at reading others intentions. Though she was not ostracised for this, she found her confidence declining around the other fairies and so that, along with her interest in humans, led her to leave the forest for what she once thought would be a temporary leave. Finding a small, quaint village to settle in she took a human form and begun to use her abilities to help the inhabitants while continuing her exploration. This kept Lux busy for a good long while until eventually, she came across a small group of humans who approached her for her help, having heard of her skills. Like everyone else, she readily agreed to help however she could. However, she was tricked. People came to her for ‘help’ though they used her ability and their strengthened power to hurt others all the while she remained unaware. A year or two later, upon visiting another town to collect some supplies, she found it raided. Completely. Shocked and disgusted, Lux decided to investigate the attacks. She did not like what she found. Some of the few she had empowered when they would approach her, had used it for this very purpose – using this advantage to take down those in their path. She was quickly plagued with guilt as each wound on these people suffered was by extension, due to her misjudgment of people and her blindness to those with bad intentions. So, she fixed her mistake where possible before vanishing. Lux returned to her home, packed her meager things and headed deep into uninhabited woods where she took residence. Lux stayed like this, isolated, for a long time. Few people from her old home would visit as passed on stories of her lead them to her for help healing. However, she refused to venture from those woods again – out of regret and guilt. At least, this was until she met Thassil. Deeming the opportunity of becoming an Aspect a chance to redeem herself for her mistakes prior and do some good, she agreed. To her, this was a chance to make sure no more innocent lives suffered. Shortly after like the rest of the Aspects, Lux fell into a slumber in an underground set of caves she often explored – only to awaken once again when needed.

Lux had become lost in her own thoughts when Thassil began his tale of the past and it left her unprepared for the appearance of an enemy. One moment she was listening, although distractedly, to Thassil and next a hideous laughter replaced it. Only by the noise of the attack did her head snap up and her blue eyes settling upon the sight of the self-proclaimed ‘Galnor of Hatred’. Panic was replaced by a forced sense of calm as her wings shifted to her back, fanning out behind her as she kicked herself off the ground in a hurry to escape the nearby attack to the campfire.

“Not good…” She whispered, seemingly present a short distance away with her staff now lingering in her right hand’s grip. “So soon…” Lux added, mostly talking to herself as she watched Bella and Reyon move into action. Seeing them act spurred her on and though she was not a fighter, Lux had quickly risen protective barriers around the remaining Aspects and Knight in hopes to shield them as much as possible until a plan could be decided on. An action she refused to lower even as Galnor attempted to attack them all. Lux cursed her slumber as she was far from her usual capabilities – not only did she have to empower her magic slightly, she had to recreate her shields after a time.

Only when Thassil had dispatched Galnor, did she left the flow of magic cease and the shimmering white shields vanish into thin air in almost ghostly wisps of smoke. Lux blinked tiredly, a frown on her lips as she studied the direction that Galnor had been sent. “Though I wish none existed, I really hope they do not all talk like that.” Lux added quietly, though her voice was barely loud enough to be heard. Glancing to the others, Lux settled herself back on the ground as her dragonfly-like wings settled against her back as she headed over to Bella, a worried frown upon her lips. “You okay, Bella?”

Imani felt extremely happy as Reyon got her some soup, choosing to sit on the floor and as close to the fire as possible. She loved the warmth the flames provided, and watched them dance as Thassil told his story. Of all the time they had spent together he never shared his past with them, so Imani knew that they were about to face a serious threat. No other reason would provoke an origin story telling.

Just as a sense of calm had settled over the group, a terrible foe arrived. She jumped as Thassil went soaring through the air, causing her to spill her food. Just my luck, Imani thought sadly as her soup tumbled to the ground. Now, with hatred in her eyes, Imani sprung to her feet and turned to face the Impurity who dared to face the Aspects alone. Galnor of Hatred? The young girl's lips turned upward as she reached out for her weapon, though Belladonna was the first to strike.

Galnor's strength caused Imani to hesitate, and during this moment a shield came up around her. Imani's gaze turned upward, realizing that she had Lux to thank for the protection. Good timing too, because as Galnor smashed through shield after shield, Imani realized she wasn't yet strong enough to face him. It was better to sit this one out and fight when she was ready to provide some actual help to her teammates.

Again, Imani felt her lips tug back in a smile as their fearful leader sent the awful Impurity away, turning all the way around to watch how far he'd go. When Lux's shield dissipated Imani jumped slightly, eager to regain her power so she could actually partake in the awesome battles yet to come. Then, she turned around to survey her friends. Bella was hurt, but she would heal on her own.

So, instead, Imani hurried over to Thassil, reaching a gentle hand out towards him. "Are you hurt?" She asked, her voice soft. As the druid of their group, she normally served as their personal healer.

Thassil looked at Imani and shook his head "No i am fine Imani. But thank you for your concern" Thassil turned to look at the group. He was thankful that Galnor had been an idiot and come alone. He knew the Impurity of Hatred was hard to control even for his fellow impurities. Stepping over to Belladona Thassil placed a hand on her shoulder "Are you okay? He hits hard enough to notice" The short conflict was something Thassil would've wanted to avoid. But at the very least they know what they are up against. Or at the very least they know the attack dog of the group they face.

Thassil then looked at the cage orb and noticed more cracks appearing. He sighed. They had only days. Maybe weeks if they were lucky. But once a second arrives they will be arriving sooner and sooner. They need to find the prison temple, they must stop them from getting free.

Reyon Aspect of life

After Thassil had unleased his attack and sent Galnor flying, Reyon places his scythe on his hip before kneeling down to examine the splots of demonic blood left by Galnor. He pulls out a small jar and fills it with Galnor's blood before holding it up as he examined it. "If it really was a demon, you managed miss all seven of its hearts" Reyon says with a slight hint of disappointment in his voice. "if i knew we were going to be in a conflict this early, i would of not added wild garlic to the stew..... my mistake" Reyon says to Bella while placing the bottle into his satchel. Noticing Thassil's sigh, Reyon walks over to him and reveals a small piece of Galnors armor that had broken off from Thassil's attack. "a memento" he says placing it in Thassils hand bit immediatly takes it back and puts it in his satchel "your right,I'll hold on to it for you" Reyon says patting Thassils shoulder. "..." although Reyon wanted to help cheer everyone up, he knew he wasn't exactly the cheerful type his self and decided that not even trying would be the most logical thing to do.
"where's my horse?" Reyon says glancing between the Lux and Imani before quickly remebering he had a sack of stuff still attached to the horse.

Sir Theron Volstain

It seemed as though Theron could put all of his faith into the aspects they are the heroes his father spoke of and they were not only strong but they were kind. Theron was invited to join them while they waited for the rest of the aspects to show up. Although he commented on how brave He was for showing up Thassil also mentioned that Theron was foolish to come on his own, he was lucky that it wasn't any impurities. As they sat and ate the Remaining Aspects showed up introducing themselves as Lux and Imani. Theron stood up and took another knee, "good aspects. I am Sir Theron Volstain, a holy knight of Liones. I look forward to working with you to slay the impurities and bring about peace to the kingdom." He finished his introduction and it was time for Thassil to explain why the impurities are so Strong.

He told a story of how he and the previous aspects fought hard to vanquish the impurities. His voice got somber as he told the group of their amazing strength and the cost it took he and the others to defeat them. He lost his family to the fight and still lives with the memories. Thassil looked as though he was thinking of the pain from the past, it was heart breaking but made Theron feel some what hopeful. If the Aspects were willing to fight to the end, maybe Liones will be spared from the darkness.

Suddenly the ground shook and split open. Thassil was struck by something and was downed his blood covered the heavy mace as the attacker introduced himself as Galnor of Hatred. Theron was about to jump into action when Belladonna beat him to it and sliced at Galnor, He stood in awe at the speed of the Aspect as she seemed to have the edge. That edge wasn't so, for in the next instant she was grabbed and punched with such might she flew clear off of the mountain. "Lady Bella!." he yelled out as he ran to the edge of the mountain, just in time to see Reyon catch her with some sort of teleportation power.

Theron turned his attention to the problem at hand just in time to see Reyon talking with Thassil about their next attack. Theron drew his blade trying to get his attention. "Hey, over here!" just as he was about to charge Thassil and Reyon combined forces and set the mad Impurity flying to a far off mountain side. The impurity hit a far away mountain and just like that they were rid of the demon, for now.

Thassil stood and looked at his team. They had just fought. But they needed to move. Thassil brought Maw to his shoulder and looked at them "When we are all recovered, we must move. We will have little time to stop the others from breaking free" Looking at them he pointed Maw towards the direction Galnor had come from "The prison will be in that direction. If we hurry we can be there before he gets close to unleashing hell on earth" Thassil had no intentions of letting that happen. After helping his team something in him told him to go. Not like a voice or a command. But something that pulled at his very core, his purpose. Turning he started to walk down the mountain. He didn't focus on his team but one name rang in his mind. He hated it yet respected it. And hoped to be rid of the being forever "Asema....."

When lux asked Bella if she was alright, she smiled. "I'm fine. I'll recover. That big boy can hit hard. When night comes I'll make him cry for momma." She was happy to be able to land a hit on him. She heard of these creature terrible might and expected her sword to not make a scratch on him. It bleeds, that means she can kill it. "If you'd like Lux, and offer of blood would be most appreciated. I'll be gentle." she said with a wink.

Thassil then walked over and place a hand on Bella's shoulder consoling her. "He does. He got a good hit in. He didn't kill me so I'll recover." She responded. "Now I know what we're fighting. If he's the weakest then...this won't be fun." Hearing Reyon mentioning that he adding while garlic to the stew made her head snap towards Reyon's direction. "What! Why? I'm a vampire! Might as well have slipped dead poison or dead man's ashes in it."

When Thassil started walking off, she strapped her sword to her back and started following. "Damn it. If I shit my panties and this armor I'm taking your clothes Reyon." She mumbled as her sore stomach grumbled.

Sir Theron Volstain

Theron could help but feel completely useless. He couldn't help Lady Bella, He couldn't help Sir Thassil or Sir Reyon defeat the beast all he could do was take up space. He sheathed his sword all while looking around at these heroes. He wanted to speak up but nothing would come out of his mouth all he could do was follow. He walked along behind Sir Thassil as he looked as though he was in deep though, he then laid out the game plan they were to go to the prison. Theron Stopped walking, he couldn't help but think about more monsters like that one. 'am i even able to help? can i do anything? i'm a high ranking holy knight and i stood there like a child.' as he thought something deep inside started to wake, "these are the thoughts of a coward. this cannot be those of the man that slayed me! The mightiest dragon in the land "Bordera!" if you want the power you know what must be done holy knight, let me loose! i crave battle, you cannot last long against these monstrosities without my might!"

Theron took in several deep breaths as the dragon inside him continued to try to convince him to free him. 'silence monster! you will never see the light of day, NOW SILENCE!' he shouted within as the voice seemed to stop. He took in another deep breath and followed behind the great knights. He knew he was stronger than what he was giving himself credit for, he took out a dragon after all. he smiled as he caught up the group. He walked up to Thassil and spoke. "Sir Thassil, would you like for me to scout ahead? with my abilities clearing the distance will be no trouble at all."
