Seven Deadly Sins - Forgotten Aspects

Thassil was focusing on the purple cage orb he held when the voice he had not heard for half a millennia spoke from behind him. Standing his armor made the ground immediately around him shake. Still holding the cage orb at his chest level Thassil stared at Bella. Not a day older, but that is the nature of vampires. Even still he was happy to see Bella. Placing Maw against the log he sat on Thassil offered a hand to Bella even though it was far from the same size making it almost amusing to him "Welcome Bella, you have indeed beat the rest here. I am glad to see you again. Yet under better circumstances as always" Thassil put the orb back on his belt and looked at Bella. She had been first, but what concerned him was the levels of evil in the land already. He had been feeling out the land in his meditations and he could feel the unbalanced magic. But he wanted to see if Bella had seen anything.

Thassil turned and sat back down where he had when Bella arrived and motioned for her to take a seat "Tell me, on your travel here did you feel or see anything strange? There is indeed a very dangerous threat that may be loose in these lands. And if there was anything amiss it may he-" Thassil was stopped as he felt a power coming. Not one enough to rival an Aspect but very different from any other being in the area. He stood and looked out at the plains around Liones. A small cloud of sand, and dirt coming from a moving speck on the ground below. Thassil looked at Bella "My questions will have to wait Belladonna. Prepare. We will have an uninvited guest" Thassil grabbed Maw and sat down looking like a statue again as he relaxed, preparing for a possible conflict.

  • Name: Lux

    Title: Lux, Aspect of Light.

Style: Typically wears the outfit seen in the image provided. She keeps to a general theme of White, Black, and Gold.

  • Personality: Lux is many things, but she is not a fighter – she doesn’t have it naturally in her. She can be many things – a healer, protective and advisor when necessary because of her soft-hearted and warm personality. However, the world has shown her an image that has hardened her heart and erased her prior naivety to the cruelty that can exist. Though she has undeniably become a cautious and more reclusive character, Lux has far from ceased her habits of helping whoever she can. Now, she is just a lot less confident in herself and her decisions on who has good intentions and who does not. Her desire to help and protect the innocent does not alone stem from natural kindness but also a sense of guilt she developed due to mistakes in her past harming others. Unfortunately, Lux is a horrible judge of character in others – a trait she possesses that has been particularly troublesome. Generally, Lux is quite the calm character who rarely loses her composure, but she is not perfect and sometimes she falls prey to anger and hate though she tries to avoid feeling these emotions in particular. When Lux comes to care for people, she does so fully. When people become particularly important to this Aspect, she is protective and tends to dote on them in an almost motherly fashion.

    · Curse words
    · Spicy food (low tolerance for it)

  • Special Ability: Empower
Lux can strengthen up her allies in various ways. Not being the fighter type, it allows her to act as a support to boost her comrades. Often, it is used in battles as it is a temporary buff to her allies’ powers or physical states. Most commonly, she uses this to empower her minor abilities such as healing and defensive magic. However, there is a ‘last resort’ stage to this power with Lux. Instead, she disables her buffs on others and focuses on empowering herself. The more she buffs herself, the less clarity she holds mentally and the more exhausted afterward she tends to be.

    Sub-abilities:
Defensive magic: Lux has a minor affinity to creating shields and casting defensive magic. Most commonly, this appears in the form of a rounded, bright white solidified shield of light when cast. When she empowers it, the size of her shield can grow.

Healing: Like her defensive magic, Lux can heal. This is normally used in conjunction with empowering if required to heal allies. It appears in the form of a white light encompassing her hands above any wounds. When empowered, this light wraps itself completely around targeted areas/people.

Fairy abilities: Like all fairies, Lux can levitate and shapeshift her form. Typically, Lux always has magic running as she keeps herself shapeshifted into that of a human and in result, hides her wings [and makes her look older than her actual form].

Special Weapon: Luminescence [Staff in Image]

Strengths: With her preference for magic and her continuous use, her magical power is quite high even before using her ability to empower on herself. She is stubborn in her goals and will aim to complete them regardless of factors in her way.

Weaknesses: Lux is not a fighter at heart, it is something that is not comfortable with and so using her ‘last resort’ per se is something she is not often seen doing. Furthermore, the use of it causes her to lose clarity and control, becoming a creature that reacts more than anything. Her magical power is also not unlimited, empowering herself or others to high can cause her exhaustion – even more so when she overly powers herself as far as she can go – there is a time limit and energy limit to how long she can do this. Outside of buffing herself, she is quite weak physically and her stamina poor. If she was unable to use her ‘Empower’, she would be defeated quite easily most likely in a hand-to-hand or close combat.

  • Like all fairies, Lux was born was nature in the fairy forest. More specifically, she was born from pristinely white flowers that grew near the river bank. It was due to the bright white flowers and her light coloured wings she became known as Lux. However, unlike most fairies, it quickly became apparent that she didn’t garner all of the natural fairy abilities as she was evidently unable to read the hearts of people which left her blind to the intentions of others. In fact, she was terrible at reading others intentions. Though she was not ostracised for this, she found her confidence declining around the other fairies and so that, along with her interest in humans, led her to leave the forest for what she once thought would be a temporary leave. Finding a small, quaint village to settle in she took a human form and begun to use her abilities to help the inhabitants while continuing her exploration. This kept Lux busy for a good long while until eventually, she came across a small group of humans who approached her for her help, having heard of her skills. Like everyone else, she readily agreed to help however she could. However, she was tricked. People came to her for ‘help’ though they used her ability and their strengthened power to hurt others all the while she remained unaware. A year or two later, upon visiting another town to collect some supplies, she found it raided. Completely. Shocked and disgusted, Lux decided to investigate the attacks. She did not like what she found. Some of the few she had empowered when they would approach her, had used it for this very purpose – using this advantage to take down those in their path. She was quickly plagued with guilt as each wound on these people suffered was by extension, due to her misjudgment of people and her blindness to those with bad intentions. So, she fixed her mistake where possible before vanishing. Lux returned to her home, packed her meager things and headed deep into uninhabited woods where she took residence. Lux stayed like this, isolated, for a long time. Few people from her old home would visit as passed on stories of her lead them to her for help healing. However, she refused to venture from those woods again – out of regret and guilt. At least, this was until she met Thassil. Deeming the opportunity of becoming an Aspect a chance to redeem herself for her mistakes prior and do some good, she agreed. To her, this was a chance to make sure no more innocent lives suffered. Shortly after like the rest of the Aspects, Lux fell into a slumber in an underground set of caves she often explored – only to awaken once again when needed.

Interactions: NPC, Imani (@Brea )
Mentions: Thassil (@Soverign )

Lux was happy to find the small town still present where she remembered it to be. She had worried, briefly, that maybe it had been taken out like many she had seen before. That, or she had gotten lost once again. It was easy for her to believe she could make such a minimal and foolish mistake. A relaxed sigh tumbled from her lips with a heave of her chest, her heeled shoes tapping down upon the stone streets of the town. Lux had placed herself conveniently upon the edge of the of the town, behind one of the homes perched within the vicinity. With another step, her form shifted and her wings were once again gone from anyone's gaze.

Stepping out from behind the houses, Lux shifted her staff under her arm for a moment as she unwound the bag from the other. Her steps were slowly leading her towards the market place ahead, though her gaze remained on the bag as she rifled through some of the packed items for a familiar, black pouch. It took her a minute or two, her steps having already stopped before a food vendor, before she pulled out the pouch in question. A happy smile curled upon her lips as she adjusted her bag and pulled out a few of the coins she had kept. "Do you accept these?" She asked, her voice soft as she directed a soft smile towards the vendor who chuckled "Sure, lady. Whatcha looking for?"

Lux smiled brighter before peering at his wares. There was some freshly baked bread and fruits spread across the wooden tables and Lux hurriedly pointed out a couple loaves of bread and a selection of fruits. "Thats' a lot ya' getting there..." The vendor uttered, raising a brow at the light haired woman who quietly studied the town - her lips curled into a frown as she stared at a growing group of townsfolk. "Ah- Sorry." Lux apologised, turning back to the vendor with a small smile. "Yes - Yes, I guess it is. I'm just being a bit cautious, in case I find any of my friends. That and I still got some distance to cover!". The vendor chuckled, wrapping up the last of her order. Lux took it with a soft smile, handing over the coins before directing a small wave his way before she turned and headed further into the town.

Despite her concern at lingering in the town, Lux took the path headed in the opposite direction and towards the exit that faced her intended destination in the mountains. She didn't want to shift her wings back and simply take off in front of anyone. It was much easier to have herself seen as a normal traveller without any kind of abilities to her name. Her focus shifted to the bag as she shoved the wrapped up food into her old backpack, causing it to bulge slightly with the added weight, though she quickly took out one of the smaller loaves of bread to nibble upon. Once her bag was shifted back onto her back, Lux studied the passersby with little attention, at least, she paid little attention till a familiar face registered and she was forced to stop in her tracks. Lux blinked owlishly for a moment, as if doubting herself, before she changed her direction to head over to the familiar face of Imani, a soft smile on her lips.

"Imani!" She called out, only slowing her steps when she reached the Aspect of Purity, "You are here to! Are you headed to meet the others as well?"

Reyon Aspect of Life

After finally making it to the mountain were Thassil was waiting, Reyon decided to make a detour and follows the trail towards the neiboring Forrest before returning within the same hour. On his way back he crosses paths with a man that seemed to have a high spirit about him "good day sir" The man says greeting Reyon."oh, if you happen to meet that kind lady back that way "tell her, Christian said thanks" the man says cheerfully. Smelling Bella's scent still on the man, Reyon stops his horse and turns towards the man "red head?" He says making the man nod his head "uh, yhea she had red hair" the man says with a surprised look. Reyon lifts his hand over his chest and begins move them up and down. The man watches Reyon for a few minutes before finally realizing what he ment with his hand gestures. The Man clears his throat "uh, well, y...yes i would say they were about that smal... but there ain't nothing wrong with that" the man says defensively. "I will pass on your messege" Reyon says before continueing towards the Mountain.

Not saying a word, Reyon pulls up to there leaders campsite on horse back packing a dead deer with the chicken he had taken resting on the horses head. He unmounts his horse before carrying the dear over to the fire and plopping it down before beging to skin the animal. "Don't let me interrupt" Reyon says to thassil and Bella before continuing to prepare a meal. He could also sense the danger approching them but figured the two could handel it with out his help. When he finished skinning the dear he walks back to his horse and lays the pelt over its back side before pulling out some vegetables from his sattlebags and returning to the campfire and prepareing a stew.

Sir Theron Volstain

As Theron approached the mountain everything in him told him to turn back. Whatever this evil magic was it was getting stronger and stronger. 'I should turn back and call for reinforcements' he thought as the intense magical power was starting to suffocate him. 'No, i have to press on. If only to get more intel, the more we know. The better we can defend the kingdom.' He continued to scale the mountain, it was like climbing the surface of the sun in which it was intense the whole way up, he felt like he couldn't breath, his body was burning up, and he kept feeling dizzy from fear.

He finally reached a ridge just below the top, 'i made it somehow. I will see what this darkness is and report to his majesty and the rest of the holy knights.' He remained under the ledge until he found his nerve, as he waited hirrible demonic images flooded his mind. What creature, or creatures was he about to see and can the holy knights defeat them. 'No, i mustn't think that way. I am a holy knight of Liones and i will not cower in fear.'

Hunter | Scholar | Aspect

  • Carmine had spent the better part of his first several hours awake climbing and descending the grand stairs that led to his Sanctum and he was none-too-pleased by the self-imposed delays. He could only blame himself in the end, and let out a victory sigh as he reached the base of the mountain. The air was crisp and clean, and the forest was encroaching in ways it had not in the past. With a muffled hum, he pulled out one of his journals and began to scrawl the details of change on the opening pages. At the top of the page, he left a section for the date. That, was something that he would have to acquire upon the discovery of civilization.

The aged man made his way around the outskirts of the forest, making all sorts of noise of study. In his studious walks, he stumbled across a small game trail and opted to follow it for a spell. The mosses and lichens growing on the trees indicated that the air was pure and the soil full of nutrients. There were berry bushes that he had not seen in this area before and could only guess that it had become an invasive species over the past few centuries.

Over the course of a handful of hours, with the day approaching the evening, his expedition took him to a small pond amid the center of a clearing. The area was well-traveled by both man and beast. It was easy to tell as a road passed by the opposite side of the pond and the grasses were trampled or cleared around the area. It was an idyllic area, one that he could easily settle into for a time - but, time was not really on his side today. In fact, with his studies, he completely forgot how thirsty he was and made a brisk pace towards the body of water. It was clear, unusually so, and there were small fish swimming in the reeds. In the center of the lake, a loon squawked at him as if to say 'this is my pond.'

He offered the loon a respectful dip of the head, "Great Loon, please let a weary traveler rest his aging bones for a moment and drink of the water. I have the thirst of centuries of sleep and dust in the throat all the same."

The interaction was strange, for the loon actually stared at him as if it was focusing its gaze upon him. After a moment, Carmine could swear he saw its head bob in response before it turned away from him and tread its way towards the reeds opposite the pond.

    "You have my thanks."

Carmine approached the edge of the pond and wade in through the few feet of reeds to waters as high as his knees, plucking the dried water skin from his waist and uncorking the neck before filling the skin. He took not more than he needed and retreated from the watery dominion of the loon, settling himself on the grasses nearby and took a drink from his vessel. The water was crisp and almost sweet, as if the unique ecology of the pond revitalized the water itself. It was a risk to drink it unfiltered, since it was a standing body, but it was one he was willing to take. As he rest, he sketched the surrounding area and wrote a description of the clearing and detailed the loon within.

After a few minutes rest and letting his throat awaken, he stood up with water skin corked and made his way towards the road, offering a final farewell to the loon. From the road, he traveled in the direction of the mountain in question and would arrive in the night, near the tenth hour, if his calculations held up.

    • So It Was, So It Shall Be

"This world is filled with a great many stories, history abound, yet much is lost. Much is forgotten. Much is ignored."

This power draws on the world around Carmine, and the lives of those who have been affected negatively by the target. For each atrocity, for each sin committed, this 'memory' of the world manifests and retaliates against its aggressor. The dead 'return' and attack the target with their strength determined by how great the target felt that sin was. The more Carmine knows, the more sins manifested.

    • Window to the Soul

"Your transgressions are many, but none more-so than killing your loved ones. Let them judge you as you have judged yourself."

This power works in conjunction with So It Was, So It Shall Be. It offers a brief glimpse into the target's heart to see their most grievous sin. This can only affect a single target once in a twenty-four hour period.

      Remember Their Names

"So much destruction, so much blood. Tell me, how many of them can you name, those you've killed? They remember yours, why can't you remember theirs?"

This power is a mind-affecting ability. It plagues the target with a growing state of madness as they are assailed with feelings of their own guilt for their sins. The feeling grows more powerful over time, depending on the severity (or quantity) of their sins. The victims hear the voices, the screams, the cries, of those they've killed or wronged until it instills madness.

      Transcribe the World

"The world has a right to know what you have done, and so it shall be."

This lesser power allows Carmine to project the knowledge of the atrocities of the target to everyone who knows them within a wide radius. Those who do not know the target well, acquaintances or met in passing, get an idea as to the kinds of crimes committed. The target feels the weight of the opinions of those who learn these secrets in a mental assault that can send the body into a couple of states: shock, madness, sickened, hysterics. This can cause physical damage if the target opts to take that route.

    • Special Weapon

      The Sanguine Quill

This ruby-red sword with gold embellishment has a simple, yet devious enchantment. When the blade is stabbed into a living enemy, and Carmine asks a question about the history of the impaled, and they lie about the response, the victim receives a backlash. The enchantment causes the truth to the question write itself out in the skin of the affected in shorthand. The effect is more painful than lethal, and would certainly be horrific to witness happen. It is used more as a method of interrogation and forced repentance than a legitimate combat tactic. Ability aside, the blade is finely crafted and reinforced, crafted by Giants in exchange for prior services.

      Weakness

The biggest weakness that Carmine has is the fact that his abilities are directly dependent on whether or not the target feels any form of remorse or guilt for their crimes and atrocities. Those who do not, or feel little, are either unaffected by his powers or they work weakly. From a social standpoint, his singular obsessive focus makes it hard to coordinate with allies. There is also the possibility that, if presented with truly rare secrets of the world, he might be swayed to work for the holder until he learns it -- or might just out-right attack them if they're stubborn or considered evil.

  • Camine was halfway down the steps set into the mountain when he saw the message scrawl itself across the day's sky. He blinked for a solid minute as he read it, trying to remember where the region in question was. It was at this point, that, he realized that he never bothered to collect his cartography materials nor did he collect any of his other personables. The groan that rolled out from his throat was one that would make any person who heard it empathize with the man, and he turned on the stairs and began to climb back up the mountain.

Hours passed and he reached his summit, his gaze pouring over his sanctum once more and frowning at the sight. It was something that drove a pang of heartache at each glance. To him, it meant that history was forgotten and time moved on without anyone the wiser. He could only imagine that the other tombs and temples were in much the same state of decay.

Carmine made his way back into the sanctum and rummaged through the stone coffer that was at the foot of the stone bed. The bedding was worn and frayed but intact otherwise, with a layer of dust matching that of the rest of the chamber. Inside the coffer was a leather satchel with attached velveteen scroll cases. Inside these cases were the maps he had made over the years, and the sketches of the cities he had been to. Beside the satchel was a series of small pouches made of leather with varying dyes applied: a plain brown, a royal purple, an olive green, and a scarlet red.
He pulled out the brown pouch, along with the green, and the satchel and set them to the side. He opened the satchel to inspect the contents, making inventory of the bundled parchment leafs and his enchanted quill made out of the feather of a High Raven. There were a couple of small journals in there, but from what he remembered, they were to track finances and contacts. They would likely need to be rewritten. Carmine hummed a note to himself before untying the scroll cases and inspecting the contents.

All of the maps within were inked into leather to prevent damage, and inked in with a needle like a tattoo. It took a few minutes for him to sort through them to ensure he had a map of the area Thassil was referring to and he set it to the side upon locating it. He stores the remainder where he pulled them from and tied them back in their cases before checking the contents of the pouches. The brown carried coin: a mixture of coppers, silvers, and gold that were mint five hundred years prior. Contrary to the size of the pouch, it contained twice as many coins as one might expect it to and he pulled them out in order of metal to count: 34 coppers, 53 silvers, 49 gold.

He did similarly with the green pouch; however, it contained several gemstones and was not enchanted to double its capacity. WIthin, there were three small and average quality sapphires, one large and high quality diamond, two small and low quality emeralds, and one medium and average quality ruby. He returned the contents of the respective pouches to their home and tucked each away in one of the several folds of his robes, hiding it as if it was simply a bundle of cloth.

Carmine was satisfied and closed the coffer, leaving the other pouches and personals within before making his way out of the sanctum. This time, he remembered to close and seal his home so no one could make off with his valuables.

    "Dún."

As Carmine walked away, the groan of the stone echoed through the halls before sealing and awaiting his return. And so, he began his trek down the stairs . . . Again.

    "Now I am really thirsty."

Thassil had stood and walked towards the edge of camp. As the pair of his friends spoke Thassil waited. He knew their 'guest' would be upon them. He looked down his blue glowing eyes fixed on a section of the forest's edge. This being was interesting, their power must be unique. He had fought and sensed all manner of creature. Human, demon, even giants. This one was unique. Their power was different, the magic of the land must've grown as well allowing for some new branches of power to be discovered.

It intrigued him, and apart of him only wished Carmine were here so he could listen to the unending chatter of information. But as the being's energy was getting closer Thassil placed his hammer on his shoulder. He did not see them but his curiosity must wait "I know your there. When you are ready come and sit by us" Thassil then walked over to the two of his team and smiled at the food that was being prepared.

Standing with his hammer against the ground and hands resting on the palm Thassil gave an amused shake of the head "Reyon, did you buy these or should i assume theft was involved?" Ever since he recruited Reyon he had this guessing game whenever he went 'hunting' sometimes he would have hunted it other times he took it. For the armored leader it was amusing how you honestly wouldn't know at times. Or Reyon would be blunt and just say yes immediately. It was something he liked about the aspect of Life, strange but never a dull moment.

"Imani!"

"Huh?" Imani turned around at the sound of someone calling her name, coming face-to-face with someone she knew and loved. Lux, Aspect of Light. She looked just as Imani remembered her, with light blue eyes and the platinum blonde hair styled in Lux's usual, signature style. Imani took note that her wings were nowhere to be seen, likely to hide her fairy heritage from the town full of humans. "Lux!" Imani breathed out excitedly, pulling her friend into a tight hug.

"It's so wonderful to see you," Imani mentioned as she pulled away, smiling brightly. She thought about how fortunate it was that she ran into a fellow Aspect, and one other than Belladonna at that, and she would no longer have to make the trip alone. "Yes, I'm just trying to find someone to lend me a map, so I can make sure I'm heading the right way," Imani explained to the other girl.

At this moment Imani noticed a group of people going around them, shooting them a dirty look as they did so. Likely because the two were blocking the walkway. Clearly, no one else in this town cared about the two's happy reunion. Imani was not bothered by this fact, people would feel the way they feel. However, she still felt as if they shouldn't continue to inconvenience the people of this town. Especially if she hoped on would be so kind as to help her out.

"But I suppose we won't need one if you know the way?" Imani asked, starting to walk again so as not to continue to be in the way. "I'm pretty sure I do, but the terrain is so different from what it was before we were put to sleep. I can't be sure." She shook her head slightly, her curly brown hair bouncing lightly.

Thassil made an inquiry on any disturbances she noticed while traveling. She thought for a moment, yet she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary yet. Before she could reply, both Thassil and Bella noticed an additional presence. Thassil warned her to prepare for a possible confrontation. She wasn't concerned, two, let alone one aspect could handle whatever would try to challenge them. Out the forest came a man clad in black, the rogue of the aspects, Reyon. Bella lifted an arm and waved towards the man. "Hi, Reyon, been a couple millennia hasn't it?"

"Calm down Thassil, It's just Reyon."
She told Thassil. Thassil walked away from the camp and towards the edge. He seemed to be more aware of something than Bella it seemed. Using her predatory nature, she took a whiff of the air and caught the scent of a nervous sweat. She smiled, her fangs unconsciously popped. "Umm..." The blood of the fearful always tasted a little sweeter than that way. Bella started bitting down on her nails as she started to get anxious herself. "I'm so hungry." She quickly turned to Reyon. "Please hurry up! If I don't anything soon I'll take it out someone neck and I can't be held responsible for that.." She barked at Reyon who probably was just going to pay her no mind.

"Whoever out there has really gotten me worked up. It's been so long since I had a meal. Even with that spell of your Thassil keeping us in stasis, the body can't help but to want to food, even if it's unnecessary." Bella started to walk around the campsite as she became increasingly anxious. She has set greatsword off to the side and was now just dressed in her uncomfortable and hot armor. "How do you boys put up with being fully dressed all the time in tight cloth and metal armor. It's unbearable."

Sir Theron Volstain

As he hid just under the ridge he could feel the immense magical power growing. He felt the magical power grow but as he hid he didnt feel any ill intentions in fact he could smell them cooking. He was wondering if this was intentional? Were they doing so to throw the suspicion off of them? So many questions raced through his head when he heard a voice call out to him and asked him to sit with them.

He thought he had been stealthy up to this point but his opponent seemed to be well versed in magic to detect him and not confuse it for a beast. He decided to face this challenge head on like all others before. He leapt out from his hiding space and faced the group. "I am Sir Volstain a member of the Holy Knights of Leone! I felt your immense magical power and felt it as my duty to check and make sure that you didnt have any ill intentions for our kingdom."

As he spoke he noticed the other members of the group that looked a little "rag tag". He faced the one he assumed was the leader and waited for a response his guard up the entire time ready to fight for his home.

Thassil sat there and looked at Bella "We condition ourselves. Like any warrior. Endure something long enough it just becomes habit" He hands Bella a cooked chunk of meat "Here Bella eat, i would rather you fill up on some meat for now. We can find a more suitable source later" Thassil then sat there and heard the rustling of the person he had sensed.

Listening the their decree Thassil smiled "Well glad to meet you Sir Volstain. Since the holy knights began i wondered if they were ever going to grow strong enough. I guess you are the answer to that. Interesting" Standing Thassil left Maw by his seat and strode over to the knight. Looking down as he approached Thassil bowed his head placing a large hand on his own left breast plate "I am Thassil, Aspect of War. Leader of the Aspects and keepers of the realm. You and i wish the same result, the safety of Leones and the lands beyond. That is our charge, it is our purpose" Thassil then just looked down at the knight and sensed his powers. A dragon? A wolf? it seemed he was and wasn't dozens of creatures and himself at the same time. If carmine finds him and starts questioning they will never begin their journey.

REYON Aspect of Life
When questioned about how he had aquired ingredients for dinner, Reyon looks up at Thassil for a brief moment before looking back at the pot and continues to stir "...yes" He says filling a bowl up with stew and handing it to Thassil. When pouring bellas he made sure to put more meat than vegetables in her bowl before handing it to her and returning to stir his pot while he looks around the camp noticing the others still haven't arrived. When the young Knight approches and starts a convesation with there leader he examines Theron before looking at Bella "if your still hungry, eat him" Reyon says using a casual tone as he continues to stir the stew. "The old man will be cranky if you two eat everything before he gets here"

  • For hours, Carmine walked and made his way towards the location prescribed by Thassil. Even though the fate of the realm was in danger, he could not help but enjoy the walk. With each breath, his lungs filled with the crisp and clean air of the forest, the sweet scent of decay of the foliage nestled upon the floor adding undertones to the maples' bark. He heard Mockingbirds singing through the trees with the occasional, migratory Cardinal chirping out its own tone.

His journey was otherwise quiet as he stuck to the road he discovered earlier on, the lack of foot or wagon traffic suggesting that the route was an infrequent one and he was unsure why. Perhaps he would be able to discover why at a later point, such as a nearby town. Food for thought.

The road would not take him to the mountain in question, but it brought him close and he pressed through the treeline until the clearing at the base of the mountain stood before him. There was no obvious path up from his current position and so he rifled through his belongings for his old topographical maps of the area. It only took a short while to find an optimal route from his current location and he proceeded towards the path in question. In truth, Carmine was starting to think he misremembered the location Thassil wanted to meet at with the remaining Aspects, that is until he heard Reyon's voice carry over the edifice of the mountain's plateau.

"The old man will be cranky if you two eat everything before he gets here."

He couldn't help the amused snort rush from his nose as he called out from below the rise.

"I do hope you're referring to someone else, Reyon. I will have you know that I am not that old."

The scholar let a short chuckle follow his words as he paced himself up and over the rise to the plateaued area and panned his grey eyes over the area. Thassil, Bella, and Reyon were the only Aspects present, sans himself. He noticed the lone human standing a measure away and appeared to be facing off against Thassil in a verbal manner but sensed little threat from him, instead moving to rest on a log or a rock.

"You look agitated, Bella. Did you not have anything to do while you slept?" He asked of her casually, glancing over towards the missing variable, "Or are you keen on making new friends?"

Bella took the cooked meat and started to scarf it down. It wasn't fully cooked, Thassil knew his allies well. "Thank you, Leader, I need this." She told him with a smile. From the bushes came a young knight, the one they noticed watching them. He introduced himself as Sir Volstain, Holy Knight of Liones. Upon seeing him, Thassil introduced himself and Reyon suggested to eat him if she was still hunger as he handed her a bowl of stew. "I would love to, but that would be immoral." She then turned to the Holy Knight. "Nice to meet you Holy Knight, I am the Belladonna, Aspect of Judgement. Please stay back, you looking quite juicy at the moment."

When Reyon remarked about the old man Bella chuckled. "Don't let-" She was then cut off by said old man. "Carmine!". She turned to him with a smile. "I'm a little agitated. Once I get a meal or two in me, I'll feel better." Bella walks to the long and took a seat near her sword. With spoon in hand, she greedily devoured her bowl of stew with a smile. "Now we must wait for the other aspects, Lux and that childish girl Imani."

Belladonna than turned her attention back to the Holy Knight. "Sir Volstain, I'm not sure if you are brave or a moron. You sensed or magical power and you came here by yourself? We could have been Impurities, and from what Thassil has told me they aren't welcoming."

Sir Theron Volstain

"I am Thassil, Aspect of War. Leader of the Aspects and keepers of the realm. You and i wish the same result, the safety of Leones and the lands beyond. That is our charge, it is our purpose" Once Theron heard these words his whole body seemed to relax so much that his knees grew weak enough to buckle for a moment. "Wait, Did you say Aspects? As in the legendary Aspects who fought against the darkness several years ago?" he removed his helm and looked upon Thassil. "I thought those were just tall tales my father told me." He looked at the others and wondered if they were the other Aspects his father spoke of? Were these knights the legendary warriors that kept the lands safe before his time? and if they were here than that meant that the rumors of darkness approaching their kingdom was true.

The other Aspects seemed to offer some kind of greeting one offered Theron as a meal to the only other Aspect to introduce herself. "Yes, I see. Good To make your acquaintance Lady Belladonna." He took a step back at her joke, at least he had hoped she was joking. As they were talking an elderly man approached he was greeted as Carmine another Aspect. "Sir, i uh." He was ignored as the elderly Aspect went on to converse with his associates. He swallowed the lump in his throat as the magical power seemed to grow by the second. Lady Belladonna finished a meal and seemed to be doing better. She asked if he was stupid for showing up alone. "I won't deny that my actions were foolish, however. I love my kingdom and will gladly lay to waste any foes that dare make Leones their enemy."

He quickly took a knee. "My apologies Good Knights. It was rude of me to disturb you and accuse you of any ill intentions toward the kingdom."
He Didn't raise his head instead he awaited some kind of repercussions for his actions. "i fully accept any punishment you feel a need to dispense. I just ask that once you are done you please assist us. The Darkness you swore to vanquish has returned and it is causing a plight on our Kingdom. Please good Knights lend Leones your strength.

Thassil stood there and sighed, when the knight spoke of the Aspects as the ones of old he was hit with flash backs. Of his old family having fallen. His original Aspects. Shaking free of his mental distraction the armored warrior turned and headed back to the circle around the fire without a word. Sitting he held Maw's grip tightly. Taking a breath he was nearly calm but heard Reyon mumble as he looked at the knight "Ask him if he has gold" Thassil raised Maw so the hammer was pointed at his fellow Aspect "Enough Reyon, he is a guest. Taking or acquiring his coin should not be your concern" Thassil's voice was uncharacteristically irritated as he said so. Lowering his hammer Thassil took a few breaths then returned his attention to Sir Theron "Come and sit. Though i am forced to agree with Belladona. You may believe it heroic or strong to come here by yourself. But if the Impurities were here instead of us......you wouldn't imagine the suffering upon you"

Placing the palm of his left hand at the end of the hilt Thassil did his best to return his mind to the cool collected and even joyous personality he was naturally in. He rarely got mad or irritated.....but every time he thought of that day. Taking breaths he felt his soul start to relax. The back of his armor showing this. The Aspect of War's armor having a decorated back plate. The left shoulder having an engraved angel's wing and its opposite on the right side being that of a demon. Chaotic shape that is roughly the look of a wing. The angel wing having started to be consumed and turning to the chaotic shape of it's opposite. But due to his calming practices the sides evened and he took a long exhale and was back to his natural self.

Looking at Sir Theron he began "The darkness you reference and the impurities are one and the same. They are the darkest evil to ever be created. The Demon king has done everything possible to keep them from his land and himself even" Thassil had never told his Aspects in this group of his origins or the Impurities direct attributes. Looking at the faces of his friends and the new arrival did he decide it was time. Or at least soon "I will inform you all of them, and i will do so soon. I just require Imani and Lux to arrive. Stay with us Sir Theron. We will inform and help you, and when they arrive will you truly know the level of danger this land faces" Holding the purple orb he looked to find a second circle of the seven to have a crack in it "If only you truly knew...." He mumbled to himself lost in thought

Lux smiled softly as she hugged the other Aspect back. The fairy was ecstatic to find a familiar face so quickly, it settled her previous nerves of being in the town quickly enough. Though feeling the looks of the townsfolk kept her slightly on edge. “Its so nice to see you, Imani!” Lux stepped back, putting space between them as she continued, “I am surprised to run into you, I didn’t think I would see anyone till I reached the meeting point.

Lux paused a moment in thought before turning to look in the direction she previously observed the message from. A thoughtful hum passing her pursed lips before she spoke, “I have a rough idea of the location, I was planning to get outside the town then fly the rest of the way.

Imani scrunched her face slightly, “I can’t fly.” For a moment the girl imagined what it would be like to have fairy wings. She concluded that it must be a very freeing thing, to be able to fly wherever you like. Brushing some of her brown hair aside, her curious eyes swept across the townspeople. “If only I had the money to borrow a horse from someone,” She thought out loud. At that moment her stomach growled lowly, reminding her of her hunger. “Or, buy some food.

Lux only smiled softly, before reaching around to drag her backpack from her shoulders once again. “I’ll travel with you anyway - I’d rather travel with someone than alone…you never know what could happen,” the fairy mumbled, shoving her hand in to pull out the bag of food that had been hurriedly shoved into it. “I have some food though! I wanted to make sure to have some for when I met up with everyone.” She explained, passing the food over to Imani. “I have some money as well, if that helps.

At the sight of Lux’s bag of food Imani’s eyes lit up. Eagerly, she grabbed the bag and pulled it open. “I’m so glad I ran into you,” Imani said excitedly. Leave it to Lux to be properly prepared. “How much money do you have?” She asked curiously, trying to gauge what exactly their options were.

The fairy smiled softly before rummaging once again to pull the coin purse from her bag. It was still, to her luck, mostly full. Lux was happy that her money had collected up while she secluded herself in the past. “I haven’t had a chance to count it all to be honest,” She replied, handing the purse over. “Be free to use it how you want.

Imani opened the purse, peering down inside of it. Definitely enough for a horse… but, she wasn’t sure she wanted to spend it all at once like that. What if they needed it later? “Let’s start with a map, figure out how far we have to go,” Imani decided, looking up and around at all the shops. There weren’t any nearby that looked like what she needed, so she walked a little further. As the two strode down the rode Imani began to hum, feeling overcome with happiness.

Only a handful of minutes passed by before Imani saw someone exit a shop with something that looked similar to a map. “Let’s go in this one,” the druid said eagerly, grabbing Lux by the hand and pulling her along.

Stunned by suddenly being pulled along, Lux briefly let out a short gasp of air, her eyes having widened. She had not expected that - causing her steps to stumble slightly as she was pulled behind Imani. “Coming, coming,” She muttered, following the Aspect into the store where she glanced around curiously. Seeing that it was mostly empty at the moment, her fears abated. Turning to the man leaning on the counter, she pulled a small, polite smile onto her lips.

Sir, do you have any maps we can buy?

Imani studied the old man, who smiled back at the pair widely. She took note of his little shop, the walls mostly barren. Was this how most shops were nowadays? Or, maybe he had just recently opened up? She decided it really wasn’t worth her concern, and focused solely on the man. “What kind of map you ladies looking for?” He inquired, his voice as gentle as his face.

We’re trying to get to the mountains near Liones,” Imani explained.

Let me see,” The man responded, kneeling down to rustle through some items he had behind his counter. Imani raised up on her tippy toes, trying to peer over the counter in curiosity. Soon, the man stood up, a rolled up map in his hands. “Perhaps this will do?” He questioned as he unrolled it and laid it on the counter for the girls to look at.

Lux curiously peered around Imani, a soft, contemplative hum escaping her as she nodded her head. “I think this should be okay. From what I can tell it is what we are looking for,” The fairy muttered quietly, her gaze still scanning the details of the map carefully.

Reaching over, Lux plucked the purse of coins from Imani and shoved her hand inside, plucking a small handful of the coins that she quickly let collapse onto the counter. “Would this be enough?” She asked, wanting to leave and get to the other Aspects quickly. The old man took a glance before nodding, prompting Lux to smile softly and gather up the map. “Thank you sir,” Lux hurried added, taking Imani’s hand and escaping the shop quickly.

We need to hurry and leave - we need to reach the others.

Imani kept pace with Lux as they exited the shop hand-in-hand. Once outside Imani pulled them to the side of the building, and took hold of the map. She laid it out on the ground, scanning its landmarks. As the starting point, she found where he temple would have been on the map, if it had been marked. From there she was able to estimate what town they were in. She eyed the distance between the Liones mountains and where they were, smiling brightly. “Doesn’t even look like half a days trip!” She said excitedly.

Imani looked to the sun to figure out which way was direction, and then back down at the map. “This way,” She decided, turning left and walking at a steady pace.

The blonde’s nerves settled the further they got from the town till eventually, her wings were once again at her back and she no longer remained in contact with the ground. She had not spent so much time walking since her time spent living with the humans so long ago. She smiled slightly, turning to Imani, “I am excited to see everyone - despite the circumstances of us all meeting again. How about you?

Me too!” Imani agreed cheerfully. “Though, I don't mind the circumstances. I love kicking some evil-doer butt!” Imani threw out her fist as if she was punching someone, laughing lightly. No one could say she didn’t love her job.

Lux chuckled softly, nodding along contently. “I’m not ecstatic to fight anyone…It’s really not my specialty…” She mumbled, shaking her head to remove the image that her words conjured. “I’m completely sure you will kick some ‘evil-doer’ butt though.” Lux added before her words trailed off into a pause. “Do you think the others have reached the meeting point first?

Imani thought for a moment, “I’m sure at least some of them have.” From her estimate, it had already been a few hours since she received Thassil’s message on their meeting point. “Ooo, maybe they’ll have food ready when we get there!” She added hopefully.

The two continued on their path, making small talk and laughing along the way. Imani had always liked Lux, the fairy was easy to get along with. Not to mention, she was always entranced with how the sunlight played with her wings. Surprisingly, they saw very few people on their journey through the woods. Imani quite enjoyed the hike and the terrain, it reminded her much of home. She always felt more in her element in the forest than she did with any human civilization.

As they neared the mountains of Liones they could feel the undeniably powerful presence of the other Aspects. However, something felt out of place for the young druid. “How strange,” She said, furrowing her eyebrows and looking to Lux as they climbed the mountain. “I sense a power that’s unfamiliar.

Lux had been staring at a few familiar plants nearby when Imani’s voice stole her attention. She twisted within the air, wings fluttering behind her as she shifted her attention to the familiar presences that lingered near by - except one. Lux had seemingly forgotten to stay alert, comforted by the familiar presences of her comrades that slowly grew closer. Quickly enough, a frown marred her features and her gaze regretfully steeled.

I don't recognize that one either. An enemy?” She asked, her voice a bare whisper as she glanced to Imani. With a small huff, Lux planted her feet once again on the ground, wings quickly vanishing. “I doubt it with the others but…lets hurry anyway.” That was all the fairy added before hurrying forwards with her steps. It didn’t take her much longer to reach the top of the pathway up and when she finally reached the other Aspects, her expression bore her worry clearly. Her gaze immediately searched for the unknown and settled there until she briefly glanced at the others to address them.

I uh…apologize for how late we are…

Right behind Lux, Imani studied the stranger carefully. She didn’t sense anything evil about him. She focused in on him, using her True Sense ability to figure out whether his intentions were good or evil, feeling nothing but good coming from him. Instantly the girl relaxed, a smile curling on her lips. As far as she could tell, there was nothing untrustworthy about this man. “Hi,” She said cheerfully, walking past Lux to join the group. “I’m Imani!

Thassil looked at the pair and smiled “Perfect, welcome you two” He was very happy to see Imani and Lux. Though his happiness was slightly hampered as his duty was clawing at his mind. As the two were welcomed in they were given food and a place to sit. Standing Thassil placed his hands on the end of his hammer “My friends, holy knight. We are here for one purpose. Yes meeting each other is a blessing, sadly it is the calm before the storm. Before your arrival Lux and Imani, holy knight Sir Theron had mistaken us as the threat we were awoken to defeat. But i believe it is time i tell you all what we face” Thassil took a breath and began with another breath.

“What we face are the impurities. I have spoken of their nature to destroy. But not them personally or their capabilities. Nor their past deed. Or…….My origins. It was something when i brought you all together for the first time i would tell, now you will hear. Many millennia ago there was a demon who was against everything. Insignificant at the time, the demon king and the goddess race ignored her. She instead came here to ancient Britannia. And found followers. She stole power and brought them to bare on those who made a mockery of her”

"This demon, is the leader of the Impurities. Asema, the impurity of Carnage. And she gave even that title a run for it. She slaughtered hordes of demons. None could stop them. Demon or Goddess. A weapon must be made…..a solution. The Demon king met with the Great Goddess and they devised a plan. A weapon was made. I was made. Not having been born like many of you i was brought a singular purpose. To destroy the Impurities. Not being able to do that alone i needed a group. I needed….Aspects”

He then looked at Sir Theron “Those your father spoke to you about, were my first family. They were the first Aspects. Everything they say about it is true, however the one who ensured the holy knights be created was Ashley, the Aspect of Prophecy. Now when i say the impurities are strong, and you haven’t grasped it by my earlier statements let this be clear” Thassil’s eyes looked at each an every one of those present and listening to him “They killed my first family. We only barely won, and even when we were victorious i was left to bury the bodies and hold their memory. They are not to be given mercy, no space to breath, no time to thrive. Their existence is to dismantle and destroy. We are the pillars now. This family. We are what will-” The leader of the Aspects stopped speaking as something caught his attention. He then focused and listened. What was that…..was that…….laughter? Before his mind clicked with realization did it occur to him.

A whirlwind of sadistic laughing erupted around the group and Thassil felt the cold strike of something throw him off the mountain. Maw in hand he fell down and crashed into the rocky peaks below. What stood where he did was his attacker. An armored mass that held the chained mace. Looking over the edge did the creature chuckle “I always wondered why he spoke so much. Hmmm….now. What should Galnor of Hatred do with the likes of you” The being said with a murderous voice turning to glare at the others while his power emanated like a small star, his chained mace dripping with their leaders blood “LET’S PLAY!” he bellowed slamming the chained mace into the campfire between them all laughing all the while

Seeing both Lux and even Imani brought a cheerful grin to Bella's face. All 6 of the Aspects +1 Holy Knight had gathered and Thassil began to explain his origins and the group that proceeded this iteration. Thassil explains that before the great war between the Goddess race and the Demon race, he was created to defeat another Demon who threaten both Goddess and Demon alike, and all races in between. Asema was the leader of the Impurities and under her leadership, they killed all of the previous aspects besides Thassil. The Aspects won in the end, but not by much. She remembered hearing of the fall of the Aspects, and how grateful the Vampire race was for that fate when the Holy War began. The Aspects and impurities would have muddled things even more.

Now here the Aspects are again, anticipating another conflict. At that moment, Bella made a promise to herself. She would not die with before ensuring the final defeat of the impurities. After making that promise, a powerful burst of laughter cut through the mountain air so sharp it made Bella's skin crawl. The familiar sound of metal striking metal entered her eyes and Thassil went flying and in his place was an armored mass wielding a chain mass. He introduced himself in the third person, truly they were dealing with a genius here. His name, Galnor of Hatred.

His power was intense, and he was big, standing at 11 feet nothing with a mace covered in blood. Belladonna licked her lips and she wondered what Thassil blood taste of, but she had more important things to deal with. She grabbed Duke Nosferatu, her beloved sword with one hand and approached the hulking mass of metal and evil. "I am Belladonna of Judgment, and you have made a grave mistake confronting us alone." Bella stood in front of him without fear, but pride, not buckling a knee at his intense power.

Gripping her sword handle with both hands, she dashed towards Galnor, her short scarlet red hair flowing through the wind. She aimed to impale him with her sword, full well knowing how it would turn out. She wasn't at her full power, even by day time standers, but like the Holy Knight, was brave and she was surrounded by allies.

Standing tall did the demon giant halfbreed snicker "Mistake? I made no mistake. Fighting you all alone is easy as killing that goddess blooded fool!" but as Galnor was raising his arm did he feel the blade stab him. The blade cut through the armor and he coughed up demonic blood. Galnor looked down and peered down at the warrior "Belladona of Judgement eh? Not bad" Gripping the wrist of the Aspect he lifted her to be at his eye level "You know Demons very little. Yes it hurt, but i cannot be killed like a common welp" dropping his mace did he give the Vampire a full force punch knocking her clean from his grasp past the group of Aspects.

The impurity picked up his mace and smiled his green eyes glowing from his mask "Does anyone else want to partake in the festivities? Stand or i will leave this.....pathetic excuse for warriors for a real challenge" Pulling the blade from his gut did the impurity wait, eager for a fight. His mace glowed with the demonic purple and his glare grew more and more the longer he looked between the group members "two down, c'mon.......help me make it three down" It ha been so long since he had a proper fight. Yet alone fighting Aspects. They were weak though, not at all like before. Did they just relax for near five hundred years? It's almost seems a pity. But his seconds of pity faded as the murderous curiosity grew. Taunting them wanting one or more to fight him.

Reyon-aspect of Life

Before Thassil had begun his speech, Reyon had made sure every one had a bowl of stew before he took a knee next to the fire. He pulls out a gold coin and begins to roll the coins around his fingers while listening to Thassil explain a little more about the enemy's there were going to face. It was nearly impossible to tell how Reyon felt about Asema and her impurities due to the lack of emotion he showed on the subject. It wasn't until Thassil had mentioned the word family that Reyon halted his coin tricks to look up at there leader before glancing at the other Aspects. For as long he had been with the Aspects this was going to be the first time that Reyon had felt the urge to express his self, but before he could say anything Thassil was sent of the edge of the cliff by heavily armored assailant weilding a chained mace. He remains still as the armored giant slams its mace into the camp fire next to him. "Friend of yours?" Reyon says to Sir Volstain as he stands up and dusts some ashes from his cloak. As bella confronts the giant, Reyon draws his scythe with his left hand.

When the Impurity gets a hold of Belladonna he swiftly dashes towards the two and manages to grip onto the vampires ankle before the Impurity strikes her with a devastating blow that sends the two flying. Using his Ferryman ability, Reyon warps the two before crashing into anything Only to reamerge freefalling off the other end of the mountain. "Brace" He says before activating his Ability once again to warp the two to land infront of Carmine. "I will get Thassil...i need someone to get close to it again" He says trying to catch his breath before warping away again. A few minutes later Reyon reappears next to Thassill "you ready?" He says waiting for a response from his leader. "aim your attack this way" he says pointing away from the mountain. His plan was to to use his ferryman ability combined with one of the life threads he had tethered to the others when he handed them there bowls of stew.
