History: Ferne was born into a very free family, where she was encouraged to do what she wanted in her life from a young age, within reason of course. She spent most of her time playing outside as a young child and channelled this into her love of herbalism and gardening as she grew, and when she was in primary school, she took up learning the cello. This was shortly followed by the violin, and then the harp in secondary school. As she learnt to use her magical gifts, she picked up control over the element of earth.
With 3 siblings, she often had to compete for approval and attention. She also had the weight on her shoulders of being the oldest, and the daughter of the high priestess of the witches. She grew into wanting to keep people happy, at the very least.
At the age of 17, she started working at Silverwood Arcana, her mother's shop, and also became part of the community's folk group, playing often at supernatural gatherings and parties. At 18, her mother gave her some more responsibilities within their coven, including helping to organise said gatherings and learning to protect the community with her spellwork. Now, she has recently taken over the shop almost entirely as her mother focuses on the coven, and is working to pay off the flat above the shop.
