Yori was already up by the time the mayor had sounded off her call. The previous night had been filled with restless tossing and turning at the thought of joining a Selector team, despite the taboo it would be to his family raced through the young boy's head. Eventually, by four that morning, Yori had gotten up, and, familiar by his side, went to the house's dojo. It was there he spent the past few hours, using Blue as a moving target for his basic attack. By the time the call had sounded, Yori was suited and ready to go, much unlike his now battered bird, and wasn't even at the point of rolling willpower to stay awake!

"Blue, we leave!"

Astride his mount, Yori took off down his house's street, toward the one place he could think of assembling at given the lack of predefined meetup spot, and the mayor's use of PA system; the school. Arriving at the front-gate, and seeing no one else from the evening before, took off again. Atop his bird, who would ferry him along with only mental complaints and loud squawking, he raced around town, looking for anybody who could point him along to a proper meet-up spot. Can't be late!

Even with raging storm outside Toshi had a good night’s rest, unperturbed in the slightest by the weather. Occasionally he tossed and turned with the rumbles of thunder, but little more; even with the downpour practice at the dojo was still expected. Yet the sun’s rise was enough to rouse Toshi from his bed, the slivers of sunlight that poked through the window’s curtain sufficient. The soft warmth made him blink slowly as his sleep lingered in his mind, yet to fully awaken. ‘Tuesday...’ The thought invited Toshi to simply close his eyes and rest for another hour or two, there was no reason for him to leave the comforts of his bed so early today.

The short-lived but thunderous declaration of the town’s mayor jolted his just enough that his body twitched, but with its brevity his reaction was also brief. He could on- No, that was bad. If his mind started to run, there’d be no way for him to fall asleep again. In the end, Toshi simply ignored the broadcast as an oddity to his morning and curled around his blanket to slumber. If they really needed him someone probably knew his address and would come fetch him.

Saya was jolted out of her nightly rest by the sudden announcement across the town's speakers. Wasn't that supposed to be used only for alerts in case of supervillain, monster, or natural disaster? She wasn't coherent enough that early to actually ponder the point, and instead groggily tried to get back to sleep. It didn't work, so after a minute or so, she started getting dressed, even if it was earlier than she would need to be ready for school. She left early, after a quick breakfast and comments that she was up much earlier than usual from her parents.

Now, if they were expected to meet somewhere, well, Saya would pick the school, because it makes the most sense for a club. She got the feeling that they might have to go somewhere else, she took the simple expedient of heading to the police station. That's where those big speakers are set up, so if the mayor isn't there, someone can at least tell her where she went.

Tucked comfortably in her futon, Meiko had not a care in the world as she lie still, half awake, half asleep, a bit pleased: she'd slept like the dead last night, so here she was, conscious a bit early. Not tired enough to go back to bed, but not awake enough to get up, yet not feeling anxious or guilty about doing nothing with her day quite yet.

Those balances were practically what Meiko lived fo-

“AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!”

As Natsuko's abrupt cry sounded through town, Meiko's eyes shot open. With a grunt, she sat up, rubbing her eye as she looked around. She'd definitely heard Natsuko's voice just now on the announcement system...

Figuring that she was now more awake, she might as well get her gears going. Sitting up, she stretched before standing, disregarding her short sleeved pink pajamas as she headed outside, reaching the kitchen, the buzz of the television from the nearby dining room catching her ear. Cracking open the fridge, Meiko glanced around for something to eat.

"Oh you're up early. Miss Mayor wake you?"

Blinking, Meiko glanced over the fridge door, spotting the other daughter of the Tamaki household at the table in the dining room, the edge of the television visible from the doorway. Sharp green eyes, tall figure, long, dark hair, sipping coffee (black) in her school uniform and stockings: Miyako never seemed to be caught off guard.

Grabbing the jug of milk, Meiko answered, "I was already up, mostly."

As Meiko went to pour herself a glasses, Miyako mused, "'Avengers'...isn't it that movie? The big one with all the heroes?" With a sigh, she added, "I hope no one gets mad at her: it's just a little fun." As Meiko sat, Miyako had a thoughtful finger to her lip as she wondered, "Hmm, I wonder if this has to do with her announcement after school yesterday..."

Recalling, Meiko cringed a bit as she recalled the rooftop episode, before beginning, "Oh, that well..." Meiko stopped, blinking, before gasping, "Gack!"

In else in this town could Natsuko be referring too? A handful of folks with special powers...wait, which one was Meiko? It better not have been the big, green on-

Interrupting her thoughts, Meiko stood suddenly, requesting, "Big sis!"

Miyako blinked, "Lil' sis?"

Meiko cringed at that kiddy label before asking, "Can I get some toast?" Before waiting for an answer, Meiko dashed off, thundering back to her room, glass of milk left alone and untouched.

"S-stop running!" came a displeased moan of their mom from her bedroom.

"S-sorry!" Meiko hissed, slowing her roll as she reached her room. Closing the door, she hastily swapped her pajamas for her brown uniform, tossing on the coat as she returned through the door, quickly walking back towards the kitchen, where Miyako waited by a running toaster.

As Meiko took her milk, draining the cup before approaching the toaster, Miyako seemed a bit amused as she asked, "Why the sudden rush?"

Watching the toaster intently, Meiko said, "Er, club stuff."

"Oh, you joined a club?" Knowing what was coming, Meiko stared a bit harder as Miyako queried, "You didn't say you joined a club! Which one?"

Eye twitching, knowing there was too much she cared to explain, Meiko stared at the toaster, muttering, "Oh, well, you see...I'm still not sure if I can take these mornings yet so I wasn't...sure if I'd stay but-"

Meiko hadn't quite been so grateful for toasters as she was when her toast popped up. Grabbing it, biting back a gasp of pain, she turned to go, finishing, "I'll tell you later bye!"

As Meiko headed for the door, Miyako watched for a moment, before sighing, "I could just check the club registry...hmm..."

---

Outside, Meiko made her way towards the school, one hand empty, the other clutching a piece of toast, its twin in her mouth as she went...wondering why she was running. The cliche appeal?

Slowing down once again, she took a moment to savor her toast. As she reached up to grab it out of her mouth, her heart leaped as it fell, weakened from her bite and saliva. She'd barely touched it, but it was hopeless, the toast flopping mournfully to the ground. Giving a quick sigh, Meiko swallowed the bite in her mouth, offering condolences, before making her way, stuffing the other piece into her mouth whole. As she chewed, however, a thought came to her mind...what if they weren't supposed to meet at the school? Scratching the side of her face and wiping off some of the crumblets, she continued her way, hoping that if she was wrong, she wouldn't be the only one to make that mistake.

Despite her impressionable demeanor in the presence of students and teachers alike, Mabi was not one to rise easily. The loudspeakers had instinctively roused her from sleep far better than her normal alarm which was set to go off a good couple hours later. Eyes plastered closed with sleep, she could barely make out the electronic clock to try smacking it before realizing it was far too early to be clicking snooze anyways. With a grumble, she slowly convinced herself that she absolutely needed to get up at the present time; she'd agreed to helping the mayor, after all. She doomed herself.

Throwing herself up from the low-lying bed, Mabi gave a few pats to her cheeks to try and awaken herself a bit more, to little avail. Only the continued movement of her body through the room and halls outside could finally switch her consciousness on. With a greater spring in her step, Mabi dressed herself and stuffed a few handfuls of dry cereal into her mouth. She doubted there was time for a bowl... or milk.

Outside, Mabi briefly relished the warm spring air before general exhaustion once again gripped her mind. It seemed she hadn't fully recovered from sleep as she nearly spun a full circle and stumbled upon hitting the outside of her opened home gates. Her first few steps were taken towards the police station, driven towards the source of the announcement, but better judgement guided her elsewhere in the end, towards the school. Chances were, the mayor was only at the station for the loudspeaker alone; she was sure to be 'apprehended' for the commotion if she stayed there for longer than she needed.

Her walk to the school was far more sluggish than usual, given the ungodly hour at which she had awoken this time around. Upon reaching the closed school gates, Mabi stopped and let her forehead fall upon the metal gates, keeping herself aloft with slouched legs. Her malaise was almost enough to render Saya invisible, but Mabi soon got tired of using her neck muscles to stay up, and she turned to find the girl there as well.

"Ah, Saya, was it? Good... morning," she hesitated to use the word.

Anything that actually has, you know, a good plot. I prefer RPs with fantastical elements, however, so generally, a bit of fantasy goes a long way.
Ultimately, it was Saya who had made the correct decision of heading to the police station instead of the front of the school. While the police officers did get a little upset with Natsuko waking up the rest of the town, such antics weren’t too out-of-the-ordinary in the town of Sakurashin. At least she didn’t hijack the speakers for an impromptu morning karaoke session, like she did a few months back. Spinning around in circles as she waited the other members of the Hero Club to come, the mayor only came to a stop when she saw the twintailed magical girl pop up over the horizon. Waving excitedly at the sight of the first arrival, Natsuko’s enthusiasm only lasted for a few minutes until she realized that, if the physically weakest girl somehow managed to show up first, it must mean that everyone else was most likely gathered up at the school or whatever.

“Blahgr,” she spat, “Congratulations on getting here first, Saya…but it looks like everyone else probably headed to school, so…”

Another exasperated ‘blahgr’ left the raven-haired girl’s mouth, before she began to wheel her way to school, expecting Saya to do the same.

It took another twenty minutes of gracious downhills to reach the gates of the secondary school. Catching a glimpse of two feminine figures at the school entrance, she waved once more, a little less cheerfully than before, as it was clear that two people weren't present.

Toshi, the white-haired kid who had gotten headshot by not-Yori during that game of Ninja was missing.

Maybe he was sleeping still?

Maybe he was doing his own morning training?

Nah, he’s probably just salty that no one helped him up after getting headshot yesterday.

So salty, perhaps, that he assassinated the hero of justice during the night, and was now halfway across the world, attempting to escape the authorities...

“Well,” Natsuko said, “Good morning, everyone! Hope you had a nice sleep and didn’t forget any of your school supplies on your way here! From now on, in the mornings, we’ll all be meeting up at the police station, okay? And go call your parents as well, cause we’re going to the city after school as well, for some super duper fun stuff!”

“Oh yeah, and there’s also training regimes today and whatever as well, so yeah. Good news, bad news.”

While she was a bit late, Meiko did arrive at the school, but as only Mabi was in sight. She tried to greet her, but a part of her held back, so she stayed quiet, only giving something of a wave.

It was a few minutes before Saya and Natsuko arrived. Meiko gave another wave before Natsuko explained their meeting place. Meiko blinked, before remembering that the police station was indeed where the town's speaker systems were. No harm done though...wait, where were the guys?

News about going to the city gave Meiko a bit of relief, nodding as tried to remember the last time she'd visited the city: it had been a while. Her mood had only risen a bit, but it was quashed as Natsuko insisted they were going to be doing more practice as well.Meiko sighed, muttering to herself, "Should have figured, really..."

Wondering about the other two still, Meiko scanned what she could see of the town, wondering where Toshi and Yori had gone off to.

Saya cheerily greeted Natsuko when she ran into her. "Good morning. Um...early as it is." Once the pair was underway, she proceeded to make small talk with the young mayor, and the occasional offer to push her wheelchair along, even if she likely knew it would be rejected.

If Natsuko was less than enthusiastic in greeting the other two girls, Saya was anything but. She'd been awake long enough to get fully warmed up and was her usual unnecessarily cheerful self. "Good morning~" she shouted to Mabi and Meiko, hopping up and down and waving enthusiastically all the while. She was a little less enthusiastic about getting up this early every morning. "So...we've got to wake up this early every morning? When are we going to sleep?" She gave voice to some of the questions probably on most minds. She made a mental note to call her parents about the after school activities, and wondered what they would even be. Why would they need to go all the way to the big city, anyway?

She stood up straight, and gave Natsuko a salute on the mention of training. "Yes, ma'am! All ready to go here!" It seemed that even if the prospect would likely be arduous, particularly for her weak constitution, that the spirit was quite willing. Saya was excited to actually be doing something with her powers, particularly as cool as selector battles, so she was quite...enthusiastic about whatever it is they would be doing. "What do we do about the rest of the team, though?"

Yori, in his robust endeavor to find the meeting spot that Natsuko hadn't designated beforehand. Despite this, he held a smile on his face. Despite being on a very important mission, it didn't stop him from the vigilante antics of shooting a guy who didn't pick up after his dog, telling old ladies kindly to stop smoking in an area designated otherwise, helping a young kid cross the street before also helping her find her mother. It was a very busy day! Busy enough that he only realized that it was a school day after lunch had already started.

"Blue, to the school!"

With such a proclamation, the boy astride his familiar sped off to school; only managing to get there after the lunch period had ended. He burst into his next class.

"Sorry I'm late!"

Only when he noticed how curious the looks he was receiving were did he take a check of his current inventory. All he could manage to do was sputter.

"Uh-uh-uh-uh-um..."

His face was flush, yet it wasn't long before it shifted into determination.

"Patrol Complete! Nothing to worry about here! Hikuidori is here to make sure nothing happens!"

With that, and the proverbial sweat drop hanging from the heads of everybody present, Yori turned on his heel and hurried to the rooftop, where he situated himself in an out of sight area and began to read his textbook on his own.
