A fire started in the basement and swallowed her entire word. A young girl, days before the move to college, stood outside her home. "Ma'am? I need you to stay on the phone with me while dispatching officers to your location, okay? Ma'am?" A dispatchers voice called out from her phone, rattling from the fear shaking her hands. "It's too late," is all she could say feeling the cold chill of death running up her spine.
The flames flicked in her eyes as she let the salty water drain effortlessly, coating her cheeks with tears. Everything moved in slow motion it seemed. The world was dark and hollow that night. She would've been licked by the flame too if she had just stayed home like her parents begged. In her pocket were the keys to the family van. It was her college gift from Dad; Charlie begged him for years to own it one day. Her eyes moved over to the van as she finally moved her stiff frame, a hand letting the phone fall to the grass where it would be found by police on arrival and no Charlie to be found.
Charlie would never return to the small town Texas town, but anywhere else her wheels would roll. Visiting all the states plans to cross the border into Canada and Mexico some day. A tough cookie to crack, she won't tell you of her past. She'll drink till shes lost her mind, smoke till she is skyscraper high. Trust is not something she'll ever half. Unless you think otherwise?

Seeking: Romance (either gender), slice of life, crime, adventure, and whatever fun you may want to add to the plot. You don't need all the genres to fit in the story, but at least one would be needed.
