I will probably need a day or two to finish up my CS. Loads of alternatives to consider.

Too many in fact...

History... skills... urgh...

Though given that I will need to modify it anyways, I guess I shall try to get it up asap.

AAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL that taxmoney lost on reckless "Let's throw werewolf in cars scene" <3
To be fair, they're already wasting tons of money on silver bullets...that get dodged, because bullets are useless in anime.

Just wondering if one's elemental powers can be fused within a Talentium weapon?
What do you mean by that? Like...a temporary elemental enhancement, such as covering your weapon with ice or setting it on fire?

And it's fine, Ryver, I have exams to study for anyways, so I can wait.

Out of curiousity, Asuras...why haven't you messaged me on Skype about any of this? Did you delete me as a contact or something? Because all things considered, you're the one that left, and the EH chat is dead anyways, so...

Ends at Dec 15, but RP is definitely starting before then.

And that's the 'revival' of Edged Horizon. The original thread was deleted after the site's database was wiped by the company managing the servers. Rest in pieces. q.q

Ah was it supposedly an rp of an earlier time or was in the same time from as this one?

Good luck with your exams!

The one you found is the same RP as the original thread, it just left off from where the lost thread ended.

@Asuras you are never online in Skype anyways :V
Maybe Ero also gets into the mood of 'rebooting' our Knight Run RP here :3?

@ERode How does my C.S look? do I need to make any adjustments. (I know I'll have to do some anyways. XD)

Fion Seyour

Nation of Birth:
Dansila

Height:
6'1"

Race:
Human

Personality:
While not as bad as he was three years ago, Fion is still a sarcastic and cynical ass, always having a sardonic comment at hand. He almost seems to live for pissing people off for his own amusement, but his words are generally without malice unless he severely dislikes someone. But Fion can be a decent person to his friends and will abuse whatever resource he possesses to help someone if he likes them.

Biography:
Born as the first and only child of the previous head of Dansila's esteemed Seyour family, Fion Seyour lived a rather charmed life. Or at least he did until he lost his left arm at the age of eight to an attack from a rift beast. After he was found, the Seyour family spared no expense in hiring the finest healers available to transplant an arm from a girl that had perished during the attack onto the family heir. Afterwards, Fion began to show a strange aptitude for Sword Arts when he began his martial training, despite being male. The Seyour family had always been renowned as Dansila's foremost experts in combat and military service, and like the rest of his family, Fion enrolled in Dansila's Academy of War. However, with his skill in Sword Arts, he quickly began to outstrip his peers, graduating from the academy two years early. After acing his final exams with flying colors, Fion followed the Seyour family tradition and enlisted in the military. However, an unexpected problem came up: the cocky prodigy didn't mesh well with the army's rigid discipline, and a mere six months after his enlistment, Fion was dishonorably discharged from the military. Naturally, the Seyour family's shame knew no bounds as it was revealed that their golden child washed out of the army, and thus he was stripped of his title as heir, but not disowned from the family. With no marketable skills besides his swordsmanship, Fion took up life as a mercenary, wandering across Dansila, killing people and rift beasts for money. All the while, he mooched off of his family whenever he found himself in Cykes again, if only to piss them off. After two years of this, Fion found himself caught up in the opening acts of war, having witnessed the birth of the Musphelheim demon in Talze Utera. And but a month after that, Fion had the bad luck to be in the underground city of Burrow when it had been destroyed. Fion fought the perpetrator, but found himself utterly decimated by the opposing mage's superior magics. The mercenary survived the battle, but lost his right arm in the process.

Meanwhile, back in Cykes, the rest of the Seyour family was slaughtered alongside hundreds of other Dansilans during the night of the massacre, ironically leaving Fion as the head of the family by virtue of there being no other Seyours alive. Being the only Seyour left, Fion took the family's seat on Dansila's ruling council, the Sidosa Board. With his sword arm gone, Fion retreated into politics for a brief time, trying but ultimately failing to prevent the Courtright and Escellar families from taking a majority on the Sidosa Board, leaving them with the authority to declare war on Talze Utera in retribution for the slaughter of Cykes.

As all this occurred, Fion found himself plagued by nightmares while occasionally losing control of his left arm. It was then that a friend of Fion's mother, Tanith Seyour, revealed to Fion the truth of what had happened to him as a child: his arm had come from Fion Meyer, a girl who had died during the Talentless Strife that had been the last scion of a bloodline of powerful mages. The only reason that Fion Seyour could use Sword Arts was because of Meyer's arm. Moreover, Fion learned that a fragment of Fion Meyer's soul had survived through her arm, and the talentium in Fion's sword had been slowly reviving her consciousness. This lead to her trying to assert control over Fion's left arm, and it was theorized that as her consicousness awoke further, she would begin trying to take over Fion's body for her own.

As Dansila prepared for war, Fion disappeared from the public eye for a time. When the God Slayer and his armies began to march upon Dansila and Astopol, Fion reappeared as the Dansilan army was slaughtered, bearing a new right arm forged from talentium that was the shade of an eerie blue-green. Displaying heights of power that he had never reached before, Fion cut a bloody swathe through the Talze Uteran army alongside the tainted Crystala Araki until the two stood before the God Slayer himself. The two companions fought the God Slayer for a time until the vampire Rilolia appeared, bringing the tyrant down with a stab to the back. When the dust settled, Fion became renowned in Dansila as one of the few who had stood against the God Slayer in battle and helped bring him down. Afterwards, Fion used what influence the Seyour name had left to pledge his support behind Rilolia's Conference of Greats. Once the Conference finished, Fion returned to Dansila, where he found himself reelected to the reconstituted Sidosa Board. Strangely enough, despite his vocal dislike of politics, Fion accepted the position.

In the two years since the Conference, Fion has remained relatively quiet in the field of politics, only acting to oppose any who would go against the Conference's decrees. Meanwhile, he has been spotted meeting with the Witchmother of the East on multiple occasions over the past two years, leading some to suspect an affair. Fion has also been said to have hired mercenaries and trackers to venture into Talze Utera. When pressed about this in private by his allies on the Sidosa Board, he only stated that he was trying to track down "a certain witch".

Skills:
- Cooking
- Academic research
- Wilderness survival

Sword Arts:
Fion uses the element of wind to devastating effect in his Sword Arts, using it to enhance his speed and agility to the point where he can dance circles around even veteran Sword Skills users. He can also summon whirlwinds and gusts of cutting wind, slicing his foes apart with wind shear. In addition, Fion is capable of creating a sword made purely from wind magic that even managed to stand up to the God Slayer's blade of black talentium.

Equipment:
- A talentium scimitar
- A small, tattered journal bearing the crest of the Seyour family

---

Likes:
- Pissing people off
- Coffee
- Swordfights

Dislikes:
- Overly serious people
- Witch curses
- Politics

Fears:
- Losing control of his body
- Losing his skill as a swordsman

Love interest:
Three years ago, rumor had it that Fion was conducting an affair with a certain half-witch girl, especially after he defended her honor at the annual Student Council Ball in a duel.

"Are you sure... that you're looking in the right place?"

Eizl Yamkare

Nation of Birth:
Talze Utera
Height:
5'7
Race:
Witch
Personality:
Eizl is fleeting yet persistent in her endeavors, quite willing to take on new methods but nevertheless dedicated to achieving any ultimate goal. Her attention span, thus, on these particular methods is quite low. Whatever can work, she'll try, regardless of the chances involved. Eizl appears enigmatic and vague, always answering questions into her own personality, past, or intentions with roundabout words. She is misleading or silent altogether, responding with a shrug and a smile when she appears unwilling to answer truthfully.

Eizl is often painted as a battle-nut by those she's allowed to remember her, seeming quite 'nostalgic' for some unknown skirmish that occurred long ago. Her desire for battle is limited by her adherence to a sort of justice, warped as it is. Eizl has no qualms in manipulating someone into attacking herself or another, if only to fight back 'justifiably'.

Biography:
Eizl's past life is shrouded in inconsistency; one moment she will relay having grown up in a brewery, and the next that she was raised by cows. She finds great entertainment in confusing individuals this way, proposing increasingly less believable histories and events that transpired between then and now. The only consistent fact is that she was born in Talze Utera and that she grew a deep-seated hatred for Astopol during an "altercation" with the priesthood of its lands.

Stranger still is the complete lack of friendship or familiarity anybody in Talze Utera has with her. Even among fellow witches, none can bring up a memory of her. There are no records of her past deeds, written or oral, circulating Talze Utera (or for that matter any other nation).

One thing is clear; Eizl desires the return of the Jeulian Empire, hopeful of another great war. Her reasons are unclear, but likely stem from her consistent desire for large-scale battle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Magics
pTI8769.jpg

Crimsig
  • Summoner - Eizl possesses a repertoire of summoning spells, able to materialize several spirits and beasts. Most notable is her always-present compatriot, Crimsig, whom follows her incessantly and silently. At ten feet tall, with broad shoulders, and the ability to become berserk and sprout additional skeletal limbs from its muscular and eternally bleeding torso, Crimsig has proven a spectacular tool at her disposal. Stranger still, the summon appears to be capable of independent magical feats, able to cast elemental magicks with ease, and even summon small shadow-like creatures of its own.
  • Aura of Forgetting - Eizl seems to be capable of creating aura spells that cause recently-visited individuals to either forget or barely remember her existence. Encountering her again seems to negate the spell, but while away from her presence, individuals can be led to forget they ever met.
  • Curse of the Oracles - A time-based curse that randomly selects an event in the future and brings it to the present. The curse is quite centralized, however, and revolves completely around the afflicted individual in question; effects are limited to harming (and possibly even benefiting) them alone. For example, were an individual, in the future, to trip and break their nose, Curse of the Oracles could potentially select that event and cause a broken nose in the present. The spell negates the brought-about event from occurring in the future, however.
  • Self-Healing - Eizl appears quite adept at regenerating her own wounds expediently and almost effortlessly; her physical state seems to affect very little of her ability to continue enacting spells.
  • The Juggernaut - Dismemberment and bleeding do not seem to affect Eizl up to a certain point. She can survive complete detachment of her head, inconvenient as it may be. The nature of this characteristic does not seem to be spell-based, though, and it is unknown exactly how she manages to pull it off.
  • Bedlam Blades - A weapons-materialization spell that generates a number of red, floating, almost ghost-like fabrics. While seemingly harmless, the trick behind them is that their concealed undersides can sprout quickly-thrusting blades, much like a common magician's hat trick. Only one fabric at a time can create such a blade, and so their numbers are used instead to create a guessing game; which one will have the blade underneath it?

Ah was it supposedly an rp of an earlier time or was in the same time from as this one?

Since I appeared to have been braindead when I answered that question, this one should be three years later.

I was interested but i saw the skills and weapons compared to Noble Phantasms, isn't that a bit far? I mean yes the effects of the magic and weapons could be impressive but are they really comparable to things like Ea, Excalibur, Caliburn, Avalon and the UBW marble?

No it's not a bit far, because it's not a comparison between power levels.

Word of God also states Aiv shits on Saber in terms of Mass Destruction Capabilities, and he's supposed to be mid-tier amongst high tiers.

Character Quote:
Name: Riley Thompson
Nation of Birth: Talze Utera
Height: 6'2"
Race: Witch (technically)
Personality: Brash, as a point to hide her own insecurities. Riley has always been hot-tempered and blunt, but has her moments of sweetness whenever the moment strikes her. She has a logical side which shares a dualism with this, changing from one to the other with the shifting of the tides. She's polite when she needs to be, but if you prove to be of her distaste, no matter what your position in society is, she likely has some hidden, venomous thoughts.

Biography: Riley was born as an experiment to her parents. Her father, an willingly demon-possessed man -- by extension, a mage with considerable powers in summoning -- and a scion to a noble family in Illiserev, her mother, a witch born to an unprecedented lineage of summoners herself, with a long standing desire to increase her own power, through whatever proxy that may be; both met as a coincidence, but their fascination with each others power was immediate, and alluring to both parties. She was born in contract, and meant to be a weapon to both parties.

This was, however, a destiny never meant to pass.

Her father had eventually fled the witch, freed from the demon's influence, with Riley in hand. Eventually, the pair would be borne upon her uncle's farm, and taken in begrudgingly. Years passed in peace, but the witch scorned sent thugs, thugs who murdered her father in front of her very eyes, thugs who had unintentionally awakened her slumbering potential. Her potential killed the thugs, laid rend to the earth, and brought the divine attentions of the nation of Astopol; a new threat, they saw.

They fled, fled to the doorstep of Dansilla, and saved by the Lady Tanith Seyour, and Corinkarus Courtright. She was to attend the great schools of the capital of Cykes, and the both to be put under the harsh fines of her tuition. They lived in poverty, and when Riley came of age, she took a part-time job, and contracts at the Bureau, despite the protests of her guardian uncle Horace.

This continued, and through it, she had met her first friend, Fion, and eventually Araki, the as of yet to be tainted Crystala, yet this day-to-day normality were not to continue.

Riley had been hired as a ticket, a ticket into what would be the viewing of the Musphelheim Demon's birth. As hell broke loose around her at this event, she would be finally reunited with her longingly estranged mother, Cygna. Riley had escaped her grasp yet again, but her mother was not yet finished in her pursuit. Cygna would be inviting her to the Burrow on a trick, to which Riley would accept, on deluded, far-fetched hopes that there would be reconciliation. Cygna would be prey on this hope, foster it, all the while performing an obscure curse to which there had been no other.

Riley would awaken in the body of another. She would awaken in the body of a man.

After the events of the Burrow, she was thrust forward into the destruction of Cykes. The war on Talze Utera to which she vehemently opposed. A war that would drive her to separate from her beloved uncle, her friends. She couldn't stand by and watch as innocent blood was shed on both sides, so she did what she thought only she could do. She hunted. Hunted her very blood. To end the curse that had deprived her of her own essence.

Yet this very act was what drove her to the final decisive battle of the war she had tried to avoid.

Cygna had joined on the side of the God Slayer; amused, distracted by this momentary mass letting of blood. They had fought, a skirmish joined in temporary alliance to the witch's mother by the very man who had taken her form; this Eldren looking to capitalize on the gathering of mother and daughter alike. Were it not for the timely intervention of the swordsman Aiv, and the Witch Mother of the East, she would have died. Were it not for this timely intervention, Cygna and Eldren would still have lived.

Riley deprived of the final blow to her mother.

Riley trapped in the dead man's body.

The end of the battle marked her final farewell to her friends, both now regaled for their part in slaying the God Slayer. She was not needed in the world turning Conference of Greats. She was not needed at the sides of these great warriors; an ink blot in history after the havoc that Eldren had wreaked in her guise. It was bitter goodbye, but felt needed by Riley in good conscience.

She began to wander after this. Lost in the wilderness. Lost in the world of Horizon. She could not be found, but rumors circulated still of a traveling man who hunted rift-beasts for minor recompense, and who carried a coffin on his back; a coffin with the slight tinge of magic.

Skills:

  • Cooking
  • Housekeeping
  • Studying
Magic: Due to the transfer of her soul, Riley has mastered many a form of magic in short time. Her arsenal includes various elemental, protective, curative, and -- her specialty -- summoning magic, as well as debilitating magic lovingly refereed to as hexes. She of course has some preferred spells.

  • Void Summon: Ursine - As the name implies, this is a spiritual bear. She is adept at riding him around, even into combat, and the two share an almost impossible synchronization in their attacks despite Ursine having a noticeable free-will of his own.
  • Elemental Summon: The Four Points - A spell she was in the process of developing before the unfortunate curse was placed on her. It summons one of four, corresponding to the four basic elements, spirits; each has their own unique personalities, to aid her in battle, or even in menial labor.
  • Abysmal Summon: R'lyeh - A spell tied to her bloodline, and therefore not available in her current state. It summons a creature, or creatures, of blood-thirty and ruinous nature that were never quite tied to her will as many of her other summons were. Notable as the first spell to call forth beings of another plane of existence.

Equipment:

  • A Talentium Naginata - Recovered from her own corpse after the defeat of Eldren. She uses it to buff her magic to some degree.
  • A Coffin - Magically enchanted to preserve her corpse until she is able to find a way to return her soul to its rightful container. It also has worked wonderfully as a shield and bludgeon in her times of need.
