Searching Dreams

Niomi heard the hit and turned to see if he's ok. As she wasn't looking, her feet skid on the ground and she fell to her hands and knees.
"Oww....Rai are you ok?!" she yelled and stumbled up to her feet and jogged back to where he was. She sat down next to him and asked, "Where does it hurt? Do you need me to kiss it to make it feel better?" and started kissing Rai all over his head and face.

He just sat there with a blank, embarassed face, seeing as he just got knov=cked on his butt by a sign. but the fact that Nimoi was there caring for him made it feel a bit better. He held her hand as he looked up smiling at her, "Yeah I'm ok, Niomi. What about you?" he concerned, holding her left arm.

She looks down to see that when she fell on the concrete, she managed to get scraped up a bit. She blinked a few times and then started laughing uncontrolably.
"I'm fine. I barely feel it anyways." she said and laid down and pulled him on top of her.
"I'm tired though. Lets rest here for a bit nyaa?"

He blushed at how she pulled him over her, but laughed at how she wanted lay on sidewalk. Who knows what people's reaction would be? Either way it ouldn't matter to him but Rai prefered the comfort of a warm bed better. "As much as I like that idea, lets stick with the bed." he said as he picked her up in his arms. "When we get home I'll take care that scrape ok?" he said as he smile at her and nuzzled his head with hers. Rai slowly started carrying Niomi back to her home, meanwhile he wondered, what will their parents say?

Niomi rested her head against Rais' chest and listened to his heart beat. She couldn't help herself from falling asleep to that perfect rhythm. When she woke up she was in her bed and heard the sound of her parents yelling at someone.
"Oh no! Rai!" she said and jumped out of bed and ran down the stars.

"What were you doing here last night?" shouted her father. Rai was mearly sitting there with his wide open and his hands tied behind him in the chair. He couldn't say anything to convince them he didn't do anything, he did sneak into their house and spent the night with Niomi. What else were her parents to assume? "You violated my daughter didn't you?" "What! No sir, I did nothing of the sort!" he cried, shaking his head. "So shes unattrative now, is that it!?" replied her father. "Stop assuming things." Rai said with a worried face.

Niomi ran up to her father and pushed his away.
"He my friend daddy! He took me home when I fell asleep. Be glad that I'm home safely!" she yelled at him. Her father got red in the face.
"When do you think you were doing?! Sneaking out of the house with a boy, being gone all night, and ending up in bed with the little bastard?! I should murder both of----" Niomi smacked her father across the face. Tears stremed down her eye.
"Shut up for onve and listen to me dammit!" Niomi screamed. Her mother covered her mouth and glared at Niomi for doing such a thing. Tears streamed down Niomis' cheeks and her skin was burning hot with fury.

"Niomi..." Rai whispered to himself. During the termoil of the room, the bonds holding rai's hands came apart. Since he was free he went up to Niomi and took her into his arms. He layed her head in his chest and softly stroked her hair, while he whispered "It's ok, Niomi. Don't cry." Rai looked back and forth between Niomi's parents with a "Look what you did" look on his face.

Niomi clenched his shirt and cried into his shoulder. She couldn't handle all the stress anymore. She wanted to run away.
"Get your hands OFF my daughter NOW!" her father yelled. Her mother laid a hand on his shoulder to tell him to calm down but he pushed her away and glared hatred at Rai. Niomi wispered in Rai's ear.
"Meet me in the rose garden. Run, now."

Rai was ready to take on her father despite him being a neko or not, but Niomi didn't want to see him hurt and she had a plan. He did nothing but nod to her, then quickly brought her up stairs into her room and locked the door. "This should buy us some time.." he stated as he ran towards the window a dived his way out. Across the street he could see his mother calling for him, "Tenchi Rai-Roku, you get over here this minute!" she shouted shaking her fist. He knew that whenever parents use your full name, you're in deep trouble. He turned his head with his hands in his pockets and walked towards the rose garden, whistling as if nothing happened.

Niomi felt horrible that his mother is mad at him as well. She opened a drawer and pulled out her notebook and pencil. Then opened her door, ran down the steps, and went out of the house towards the rose garden before her parents could even say a word. Once she got there she met up with Rai and bowed so many times.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry..." she repeats.

Rai felt awkward a little when Niomi started bowing to him. His mother just said his first, middle, and last name. And her father wants to destroy him. He didn't want today to be terrible and then awkward, but certainly didn't want Niomi to apologize for something that wasn't her fault. He got down on his knees and lifted her from the ground and held her tight. "Don't worry about it, Niomi."

Niomis' eyes start to water up again. She wanted today to be amazing. Not like...like this!
"I don't want you to get in trouble though!!!" she declared and hugged him tight.

"Don't worry." he said quietly, "I know who can clarify this for us." He stood up to his feet and took Niomi's hand. He looked behind him aat his mother with a worried look and she instantly knew, that he needed her help.

Niomi stood up a bit confused, still sad, and kinda dizzy.
"ok." she said and followed him.

They were at the front porch of his mother's dojo, Rai being a ninja allowed him to have plenty of help when he needed it. "Bring her inside." said his mother, as she slid the doors open. "Thanks Mom.." he uttered, escorting Niomi inside. To hide himself from enemyy attacks, rai never used his first name, he'd always use Rai. his middle name was all he'd use due to nobody using it often. "So, what the problem." asked his mother.

A tear falls from Niomi's eyes and she said, "My parents are planning on killing us." and looks down at the floor in guilt of smacking her father.

Rai lifted his hands to wipe away Niomi's tears, then layed her head on his shoulder. "Mom, we need a place to hide. Somewhere her parents can't find us." If they were going to hold the bond as well as hold their own, they'd have to be hidden. "There are plenty of places I can send you two, but I'm not sure if they know about these places." His mother came to her feet and walked into the next room. When she returned she held a katana at her side. "Son, take her up stairs, I might have some clothes she could use." he said, packing Rai's bags. "Where are we going?" he asked, questioning her movements. His mother looked back at him and mumbled, "Safety.."
