Oh man, I've been telling stories since I was....well...young enough to be naively innocent yet old enough to grasp written word and the basic concepts of storytelling. Now, in caveat, those early years were absolute shit. Like most artists of any variety we start with shit and compost it to hopefully make it better. (If you are just starting out it is a lot less complicated than it sounds. I'll send you the recipe if I can ever find it.)

I've been seriously writing for some odd fifteen years now and I am proud to say I've busted out my million words mostly on RP forums very similar to this one we are all using. Needles to say I have a deep found love for RP, but writing goes so much deeper in my spirit than just one facet.

So here are my Scriblings; Random, spur of the moment glimpses into parts of me, my heart, my spirit, and my soul. Some might have more "effort" put into them but the vast majority of these will be raw and unfiltered. I think, sometimes, we try to polish things too much when the raw beauty of a piece can strike a much truer accord with someone else.

Because when it comes down to it, writing is really about pouring out myself in hopes that it connects to someone else. When and if that tether does occur in this dark we call life there is a small light that shines out from my heart to yours.

I encourage communication. If a piece stirs something within you please, by all means, reach out. Leave a reply or PM me. I love to hear from people who read my Scriblings.

And, as always, I hope you enjoy

Lost in the Sea of Trees

How long has it been?
When was the last time I saw the sun?
I've lost count of these enumerable days lost here, in the Sea of Trees
And yet, my heart doesn't falter

The fog wraps itself around me like a lover's arms
I feel warm and content at it's caress.
Aroused by it's presence
Calmed by it's depth

And the depth here is palpable

It struck accord within me at first glance and I could not resist the charm in it's eyes
And oh, those eyes so green
So tempting emerald haze

"Come and find me, my love," they whisper in pools rich of lust and laughter
And I am all at once lost to them
In this Sea of Trees

I searched for untold hours for those eyes
For that face so fair
That so easily stirred my heart to wandering
Deep in this Sea of Trees

I found her then, at calm pools of azure peace
Under great oaken canopy
And at the heart of the Sea

She stood wrapped in sheer mist
Her skin radiant
And her lips parted in smile

We danced there through day and night
Always in touch with the other
Dancing at pools of azure peace
Deep in the heart of the Sea of Trees

She drew near to me
Holding me tight
Her lips whispered in my ear
And her depths spoke to my heart

"Come away with me, my love
Never leave my side
Turn back from the world you came from
And drown with me, in this Sea of Trees"

And there we remain to this day
Dancing and laughing together
Wrapped in silken mist so deep
And laying along shores of azure peace

Deep at the heart of the Sea of Trees
