When Robin suddenly grabbed the chest, Caelina hiked up her skirt and prepared to fight, and when Roman began to yell at him, Asakon only responded with one simple command:
"Kill them all."
Once he finished, the horde of monsters charged forwards, racing through the scattering crowd and going to town. The Undead Man began to tear people limb from limb in an attempt to consume their flesh while the Black Knight (upon his black red-eyed horse) charged into battle, swinging it's blade wildly. The 10,000 Volt Ghost jumped into the electrical system of the building and remotely locked all the doors and windows, preventing anyone from escaping whilst the Man-Bat flew into the air, slashing and clawing at the terrified citizens. Bodies began to fall everywhere as the chaos continued, but the worst attention was directly on Mystery Incorporated. Dylan and Scooby were currently being charged by the Smiley Twins, so they were a little preoccupied at the moment. While both the boy and the dog wanted to run away, the courage of their friends gave the duo some much-needed motivation to fight. Slowly backing up in fear, Dylan suddenly hit the food table and turned his attention to one single item: shish-kebabs! Grabbing the long, almost sword like skewer and dousing it in oil, Dylan lit the food on the blade aflame and pointed it towards the monsters. "A-ALRIGHT! YOU WANNA GET NUTS? C'MON! LET'S GET NUTS!" he suddenly yelled before charging towards the creatures, swinging the sword poorly in an attempt to make them back off. Unfortunately, the Black Knight saw the sword-wielding Dylan and began to charge over, looking for a rematch. Readying himself for the onslaught, Dylan grabbed one of the fryer pots and tossed the boiling oil on the Twins to distract them while he used the pot as a make-shift shield against the Black Knight.
Scooby, on the other hand, had been focusing on the exploits of the others. Closely behind Robin, was the Tar Monster, who extended it's limbs far enough to tightly wrap around her waist, squeezing hard. "Not. So. FAST!" it growled in a deep and menacing voice, slowly starting to retract its arm with Robin in tow. Having seen this entirely, Scooby began to panic. What should he do?! But then, in the corner of his eye, he saw the solution: a fire extinguisher, hanging on the wall. Moving out of the way quickly to grab it, Scooby jumped over the tendrils of the Creepy Crawly and passed through the Giggling Green Ghost before reaching the wall. He grabbed the extinguisher with his front paws and began to run over to the Tar Monster, unbuckling the safety lock on top. Once it was primed and ready, Scooby pointed the nozzle with his mouth and opened fire, spraying the Tar Monster with the cold foam from the extinguisher. Thankfully, the "Tar Monster" was not hot, otherwise this plan wouldn't have worked. Maybe it was just luck or it had something to do with the demon possessed costume being more sensitive to cold temperatures, but whatever the case, the arm holding Robin began to freeze. The extinguisher had a strange effect on the monster, as it screamed and whined while it slowly lost its arm, which Scooby broke in half to save Robin.
"That's it!" Dylan whispered, having seen Scooby attack the Tar Monster while the Black Knight was down. Rather then continue the sword fight, Dylan turned around and ran towards the wall behind him, which also held a fire extinguisher. Grabbing it and fiddling around with the device a bit, Dylan tried frantically to get the valve open. But, in that time, the Black Knight had got up from the floor and was about to swing his blade straight through Dylan's head. In a quick move of desperation, Dylan did something he would never do to anyone, let alone a demonic Hellspawn:
Holding the fire extinguisher from the back, Dylan jammed the top of the object into the Black Knight's crotch.
The living suit of armour suddenly yelled in pain, covering it's pelvic region and collapsing on the ground, muttering "Right in the round tables..." before seemingly passing out. Luckily, the valve-lock had broken off after hurting the Knight and instantly, Dylan began to fire the cold foam at the monsters. Asakon and his demons shrieked and screamed at the boy and his dog, realizing that their foes had discovered their weakness: cold temperatures.
"Guys, get everyone out as fast as you can! We'll hold them for as long as-" Dylan began to say before suddenly, a burst of flame hit the extinguisher, causing a small explosion of flame and foam. Dylan was forced to the ground, covered in burn marks from the pressurized blast. Asakon lowered his hand and motioned for the monsters to continue attacking, tried of waiting for them to reclaim the chest. "Change of plans... RUN!" Dylan exclaimed, getting up off the ground and limping away as fast as he could. Scooby knew his friend was hurt, so rather then let Dylan walk on his own, the dog scooped Dylan onto his back and began to run away as fast as he could. On the way, Dylan snatched the chest from Robin and said "We're faster then you, they'll come after us first! Go get the Mystery Machine and bring it to the old Coolsville Mining Town. We're gonna try to lose these guys."
