Remi silently listened on to Srade's speech. It was a weird thought to be thought of as a Valiant Sentinel, granted EVERYTHING about this day could be thought of as more than weird. As she began to go over the information of their suits, the heat problem in particular. If she wasn't careful, she was going to be a wonderfully seared body just waiting to be found. The thought of it caused her to click her tongue in displeasure, she wouldn't trust her installed medical kit to heal herself too much either in fear of messing around with a technology she knows nothing about... unless the situation called for it.

As Srade gave them the okay to use their weapons on some targets she summoned, Remi sprang into action. She knew her weapon should be better at a distance, also she wanted to see exactly what her other modules could do. Willing it in her mind, she crouched down as power filled in her legs, the green on her boots glowing a bright green, much more power and energy than she could handle on her own. A breath later, she shot up and back away from the targets, up in the air 60 feet more away from the target. Her heels than shot out small flames, not keeping her afloat but giving a smooth enough descent to aim a shot with the rifle in her hands.

She brought it to a firing position, looking at an empty target. She continually adjusted it, having to deal with her descent but kept her aim at the target. Showtime She pulled the trigger, a bright beam shot out and headed towards the target, Remi hoping it would hit.

All five girls were now clad in their respective Technomagic suit of justice, righteousness, and valor! Just like heroines from magical girl tales, a small group of chosen ones fighting against a looming evil threat while leading a double life. Akni might have been rather pensive about this whole affair at first, but now, seeing herself and her friends, she had to admit the flames of passion in her heart were ignited. Enigmatic gray Chie, adorably elegant white Ellen, ingenious green Remi, Calm yet deadly Yu Ri, supported by Mita the Tech-fairy and watched over by Srade as their mentor; Akni felt they could really take on Lesadra and her ilk.

The red-clad girl tested her fiery sword by swinging it a few times, trails of flame following her movements. She listened to the sentient spaceship as she revealed their group's name, "Valiant Sentinels... Neat" a rather quaint one if she could say so herself, no problems with it. "Yeah! We can do this!" Skipping up and down with small burst of jets from her back, Akni gathered together with the group, listening excitedly to the detailed explanation on how their Cyberframes worked, now this was a subject worth listening, unlike the droning teacher back in class.

"Hmmm... Heat, huh?" It was the concept - among many others - that caught her attention the most, Akni already noted her Cyberframe's theme was fire, flames, and heat. Among the five, she was the only one who would actively play around with Heat levels to her benefit; the more Heat she had, the more powerful she'd become, but the riskier it'd be for her health. While her comrades would want to keep their Heat level as low as possible, Akni must balance it out to maximize her potential. Mita was right, her body felt warmer now as if she just drank a cup of hot choco, she... liked it, Akni was someone who preferred summer over winter, BBQ over ice cream, perhaps there was a convenient reason why she was born with red hair, aside from genetics obviously.

The young detective turned at the holographic targets floating in the air, she tilted her head slightly, her mind already turning on how to best try out her abilities, she felt these stationary targets wouldn't be adequate to truly test out what she could do.

Ellen was the first heroine to spring into action, her white-green form dashing through the rooftop, her hands holding a techno sword, a bit smaller in design compared to Akni's long claymore. She slashed, splitting the dummy target, a basic, yet effective, move. "..." The redhead knew she should be paying attention to Ellen's technique, but she just couldn't take her eyes off the twitching cat ears on top of the blonde's head. Hot damn, they were cute... and combined with her cyberframe's design and elegant movements, the younger girl's cheeks gained a slight rosy color. "Ah... uhm!" She shook her head to snap out of her self-induced trance, "You did great! That was cool, Ellen!" Focus, Akni, focus!

Grumpy Remi stepped up next, her literally spiky suit shifting as she crouched then jumped up far higher than any normal teenaged girl could do, then descended slowly using the flames spurting from her heels, "...huh... jets..." giving Akni further ideas. Unlike those minuscule jets, her Cyberframe sported two large exhausts, so big they occupied her waists, her greaves and boots also had multiple small openings, yeah, she had a solid assumption on what she could do, these targets wouldn't cut it. For now, Akni watched as Remi shot out a bright beam from her rifle, a mobile sniper that could easily reposition herself and even steady herself to shoot mid-air, boy, greenie here could rain down death from afar.

---

Right, it was her turn next from the looks of things. "Srade," Akni cracked her neck, "Materialize another target please, one that flies through the sky, see if I can catch it!" While the spaceship worked on her request, Akni closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, the flaps on her jet-engines shifting up and down, left and right as she tested them. Opening them, she looked up at the swiftly moving target up at the sky above the rooftop, with a confident smirk, Akni shifted her feet. "Ha..." She ran on the ground, holding her claymore with both hands at her side, then ignited the jets at her back. "Taking off! Jet Propulsion, Megacharge!!"

*BOOM!!*

With two simultaneous blast of flames, she took off to the sky like a military fighter plane, propelled diagonally upwards by the powerful engines. She left behind a trail of white hot air as she went, her twin pigtails flapping behind her. The school building became smaller and smaller the higher she went, good thing she wasn't afraid of heights, huh? "Now, where are you?" She spot a glinting hologram at the corner of her eye, "There you are! Inertial Compensators, Supercharge!" The smaller jets at her boots spurted, maneuvering her, swiftly changing her directions towards her target, now she was flying directly behind it, her predatory red eyes never leaving her holographic prey, it was fast, but she was faster. Soon enough, she closed the distance between them. "Haaaaaaaa!!" with a loud scream, her blade ignited in flames as she impaled the dummy from behind, literally going through its shattered form before the pieces burnt up in flames.

"Haha! I did it!!" With another blast from her Compensators, Akni turned back towards the rooftop, swiftly descending down then slowed down as she neared the surface, landing with a rather loud thud. "Phew... ha... damn, that was hot!" Literally so as steams hissed out from her frame as if she was a walking sauna, "How did I do?" despite Mita's ensuing worry, Akni gave the group a proud grin, "Oh! Heat, huh? Don't worry, I can just cool things down before I disengage my cyberframe, right?"

So all she had to do was will it away and it'd go away? Cerebral Processing it seemed. She was about to close her eyes, however it seemed that she had already willed it before hand.

*Bzzum*

She jumped back in surprise. It was incredibly efficient Cerebral Processing. She had never seen anything work this efficiently before. As her shield had retracted she picked up the orb that she dropped. Well at least she knew of this worked. The Orb on her shoulder however... She grabbed it, and tossed it, looking to activate it. It flipped over and began spinning around. It seemed to be searching for something.

She just pointed at it, without really saying anything. But it seemed to do something different, firing an energy bolt off into the sunset. She jumped back, and quickly began willing it away, as it fell to the ground, and she placed it back on her shoulder. She sighed. Seemed she needed to be a little more practice in not willing too many things. It was likely too effective for this. Oooor, maybe she just has really wanted to do something like that for a really long time. With her, who knows.

"Seems effective. Sentinels works. Valiant Orange."

She did her little fist bump again to display her liking of the title.

Chie mentally nodded to Srade's instructions. They sounded reasonable enough. At least the part about practicing to get better at using their Cyberframes. The tanned girl wasn't so sure about some actual evil magical sorceress or whatever causing everything that's going wrong in Central City. That said, Central City had been getting increasingly dangerous, and stories about crime appeared on the news almost every other night.

She looked at her classmate, Ellen. The girl was really pretty, and her white and green Cyberframe only made her look even more fashionable. Ellen had always been one of the most popular girls in her class. And she had absolutely adorable robotic cat ears! Then, Ellen said some words and a sword appeared. It was unlike anything Chie had ever seen better. It wasn't like the old traditional swords made of steel, relics from the old times now merely a symbol of nobility and wealth. It was made of the same material like her armor, green and white.

Chie, focus! shouted Chie at herself in her mind. She saw two of her underclassmen, Remi and Akni also began to practice with their Cyberframe's functions and weapons. It was probably the best if she did too. Chie fiddled with her Cyberframe, and as she touched them, mentally descriptions of their functions appeared in her mind. Technology really was wonderful.

Chie blushed as her left hand wandered over her uncovered chest. "W-why am I the only one ex-exposed like this?!" exclaimed Chie. After a few seconds, she shook off most of her embarrassment and focused her mind again. She saw the targets in the distance. They weren't that much further ranger than the distance that she was used to at archery practice. Chie took in a breath, aimed carefully like she always had. She emptied her mind and thoughts like she had done for years and realized she had no arrows. Suddenly, her mind or rather the Cyberframe told her not to worry and just pull the bowstring. Chie re-focused again, and went into her typical archery stance. She took a breath, and pulled on her bow string. Suddenly an arrow materialized in the bow and her finger. Chie aimed at the target, and released the arrow. The arrow shot out at a speed that Chie could have never imagine, and violented slammed into the middle of the target.

That was... exciting. And the strength of that shot. Chie trembled slightly as she realized that her arrow had actually gone through the target and into the rooftop's walls. Chie blushed a bit as she had just caused property damage. But the feeling and strength that she had just caused. It was exciting. Her heart was throbbing so hard, and she wanted to do more.

Ellen let her sword deactivate after the various attack demonstrations, and kept her systems ready but all inactive. "Nice, nice," she said, complimenting everyone with brief applause. "Looks like we've got a pretty solid team~!"

"Its not like you're the only one letting everything hang out without any support," she replied to Chie's exclamation, bouncing a bit to prove her point. "Though...I suppose you are the least...covered. Maybe you're secretly an exhibitionist," she suggested jokingly, with a horrible grin plastered across her face.

"So, any of you ladies already in a club," Ellen asked the assembled Sentinels. "Because it'd be a good excuse for us to spend time together without arousing too much suspicion." She wasn't in one herself, although the track team had made a few overtures toward her, so they'd have someone eligible for the cyborg events.

Her lesson completed and the focus shifted to the art of destroying light-based targets, Srade allowed her personal hologram to dissipate. The floating surveillance drone shifted to watch the action, and Mita hovered near the girls protectively as they unleashed their technological fury on the immobile foes at the end of the roof. Ellen cut hers in half quite handily. Remi's aerial positioning left her able to rain down laser justice on her quarry, perforating it before it vanished in a flurry of pixels. Chie eviscerated her target with her energy arrow and it shattered apart. In both their cases the projectiles flew right on through the intangible targets to impact the wall behind, leaving a scorch mark on Remi's part and a small crater where Chie's arrow had hit.

In comparison to the contentment with the stationary targets, Akni voiced her desire for something a bit more challenging. An obliging visual distortion appeared in the air some 100 feet up before solidifying into a ringed spherical target that somehow always seemed to be facing toward Akni as she flew. It maneuvered semi-randomly, changing altitude by ten feet up and down as well as zig-zagging as it moved in a very rough square. The redhead's eager take-off took her far above the objective though which allowed her to look down on it and prepare a bombing run that ended with a ravaging thrust of her blazing sword that completely destroyed her faux foe.

"Oh! Very good!" Mita joined in on approving everyone's efforts alongside Ellen but she did flutter around Akni with a look of concern, her visor flashing red as she looked the twin-tailed lass over. "Ah- oh, please don't push yourself too hard!" she whined in concern. "Your Heat levels are very elevated!" She dipped inward and took a deep breath to let out a series of tiny exhales against Akni's cheek, as if trying to cool her off that way. Needless to say, it didn't do much of anything. "Y-you shouldn't let it build too high, it can't be good for you!"

But her warnings went unheeded and her lecturing was suddenly interrupted when an echoing voice called out from the roof access stairwell! "Heyo? Who's up thar, school's ended a'ready!" The voice was definitely masculine and gruff, though not exactly harsh enough to come across as upset. The girls might recognize the originator of the words as the school's head janitor, who oversaw the small flock of cleaning drones that scrubbed the floors every night. "Time t' get going, ya can't loiter here..." The orders were getting louder along with the approaching sounds of footsteps as he climbed the stairs to investigate the open door and the noises that had echoed inside from all the activity out there.

Mita gasped and flailed her arms to get everyone's attention. "Quick! You can't get caught! Will your Cyberframes to go away and they will, hurry!" she squeaked, before swiveling around to get behind Akni so as to hide out of sight. Above the surveillance drone shimmered into invisibility once more, and the remains of the holographic targets fizzled away so that the only signs of their activities were... the two damage marks on the wall and the twin scorched spots where Akni had began her fiery flight.

As explosions and dramatic cries rang out on top of the school, Yu-Ri continued to dance, exploring the abilities of her newly enhanced body. She sailed through the air gracefully. She landed impactfully. She froze in powerful postures. She moved expressively, to a song only she could hear.

Hexagonal kinetic barriers emerged from her feet every time she landed, creating a soundless descent, as if she was as light as air.

A cerebral rush made her hyper-alert, each movement appearing to be in slow motion, allowing her to maintain an exactness she couldn't have managed before.

And then, at the very end, her bladed feathers, her Swallowtail Wings flicked out, snaking around her as they silently embedded themselves into one of the solid-light projections, before drawing it back to her.

Yu-Ri caressed its blocky face, her body getting hotter and hotter from the quiet ecstasy of dancing.

Perhaps that was the difference between her and others.

They preferred destructive displays of might, while she preferred a more subtle approach.

Mita signaled the end, and grappled light-projection disappeared. A wistful expression formed on Yu-Ri's face as she watched it become nothingness.

"Well, that was fun."

"Damn, time to cut thing short," Ellen asked. She was getting the hang of things and didn't take much effort to actually deactivate her cyberframe, willing it away in a brief flash of green light. Her normal clothes, at least, reappeared rather than leaving her naked. She breathed a sigh of relief that her uniform wasn't lost to the ether or at elast deposited next to her, neatly folded.

She calls back to the Janitor. "Sorry, we were just here enjoying the garden and we lost track of the time. We'll be right down!" She started for the stairs off the roof, motioning for the others to follow her.

Chie nodded at her fellow classmate. Surely, the two of them could easily convince the small-time janitor. Ellen and herself were both well-liked by all of the adults. Supposedly, Ellen's tragic past rumors and her family's wealth combined with her own top grades and attitude should be enough to appease the simple man. "Miss Ellen. It's probably better if the two of us handled the janitor." said Chie quietly to everyone, but mainly faced Ellen. "Our cute little underclassmen should be stay quiet and follow behind us. And smile. But with embarrassment. Don't feel guilty. Feel like a male classmate had peeked at you changing."

The sleepy-eyed girl thought about returning to her school uniform, and within a second... she was back in her boring uniform that denoted her grade. Chie walked quickly behind Ellen. She wasn't really concerned with the janitor. Adults were always easy to fool, as they believed that the world operate the way they thought it should. From the highest CEO to a lowly janitor, there wasn't exception. All they had to do is act like children. Harmless innocent and forgivable children that meets their expectations. CHie yawned at the thought of that. It's time to play her role once again like she had done for years.

"Ha~ fuh...!" The aerial fighter, Valiant Red obviously enough, sighed in odd comfort at this strange sensation as if she just walked out from a hot steam room in a massage & reflexology center. Since the training was apparently over and all, she deactivated her weapon module, her sword vanishing in a puff of flames. Putting her hands to her hips, Akni tested the flaps of her jet engines a bit, shifting them slightly, she was about to ask how to correctly take off their cyberframes when the cute little green tech-fairy fluttered around her like some kind of cybernetic humanoid butterfly. God, she looked so cute even when concerned.

"Y... yes?" Akni was having a rather hard time keeping a straight face as Mita fussed over her body, her gloved fingers twitched, barely keeping herself from reaching out and grabbing Mita like Remi had done earlier in the day. "Oh, relax, Mita, I know what I'm doing. Besides, my frame's design makes use of Heat to add more power." Still, Too much heat was bad, she got it. "Ku..." If anything, Mita was making her hotter than her modules did, evident by the flushing cheeks on her fair skin as the diminutive girl breathed out against her face, trying to cool it off, how flattering... and adorable. "M-mita... hehe... that tickles..." Damn it, as a CDF Investigator, Akni could safely say, Mita was being too cute, it's almost a crime.

"Eh?!" It seemed their fun heroine playtime would have to finish for now, the head janitor was right, it was getting late. While Akni didn't have to worry about worried parents due to her job, it'd be unwise to attract unnecessary attention that could detriment her cover. "Right, will do." Taking her mind off from the incredibly huggable flailing tech-fairy, Akni focused for the moment, closing her eyes as she mentally commanded her suit to deactivate. "..." Flames briefly enveloped her whole form for a second before snuffing out, revealing the twintailed girl clad in her normal school uniform as if nothing ever happened... except for the steams rising from her body and the unusually high temperature of her body, but it should go away soon enough. This done, Akni swiftly turned around to grab Mita, claiming her before anyone else - CoughRemiCough - could.

"Act like a doll, okay, Mita." She held the fairy close to her chest, nodding in agreement at the upperclassmen. Granted, it was not that big of an issue for a group of five girls spending some leisurely time on the greenhouses, but yeah, better let Ellen and Chie handled it. 'Cute little underclassmen', now that was an endearing term... Akni got what the Mont Heiress meant however, just act like normal young girls, the peeked by male students analogy was... odd, who in their right mind would ever change clothes at the roofto-... oh damn, they just did. "Pfft..." Akni snorted once, then nodded, "Yeah... fine."

Following the group, led by Chie and Ellen, Akni looked down at the floor, avoiding eye contact with the janitor, keeping her focus on cute Mita instead... she's all hers now, all hers! Mwahaha! It seemed her newfound powers had already affected the young detective in a power-hungry-tyrant kind of way.

Remi looked down on her mark left by her shot, feeling a little bit of pride seeing her weapon do some kinda lasting damage. Hopefully this wasn't the start of a collateral damage loving hero for the sake of her and the city. Regardless, her tongue clicked seeing the other range using girl, who she's pretty sure is named Chie, leave a nice looking crater on the wall. Remi had a new mission: make a bigger crater than Chie did.

These thoughts would have to wait though, as she heard Mita's cute little squeaking that it was time to hide themselves. She shimmered a pretty light a few feet off the ground, landing on her feet back in her regular school uniform. Dusting herself off, she looked away at Chie's comment about them being cute underclassmen, causing her to once again click her tongue om rebuttal. It didn't make her feel happy at all, nope, not even a smidgen.

Still, she obediently followed them down the steps and took care to not look at the janitor, imagining what his reaction would be to see what they were doing up there if they didn't notice him walking up.

In spite of (or perhaps because of!) all the alarming instances of violence that had been occurring in the past couple weeks, the expression of the janitor when he stepped up the last stair with a puff of exertion and turned to examine the quintet of students was one of concern, not anger. He was an aging man who continued to work out of pride rather than necessity, even after his left knee had given out and he'd opted for a replacement cybernetic lower leg. "Huh, what're'ya doin' up here, didn'ya hear th' bell? I swear if there's any graffiti... well... you kids wouldn'be doin' that up here now would ya?" he muttered half-heartedly, but he looked more on edge than upset and he waved all five of them into the stairwell.

Apparently unwilling to take their promises to leave at face value, the janitor escorted them to the ninth floor elevator. While they loaded on he gave them each an appraising look. "Now, y'girls get home quick, right? Things've been kind've crazy, lately, y'know? Don't be loitering 'round these parts by yerselves, isn't safe..." he mumbled to them while fiddling with the elevator's digital interface to get it to scan the back of his right hand- the microchip embedded there was visible as a small dark bump through his thin skin. When he was done lecturing them he stepped back out and waved them farewell, the elevator doors closing to take them down to the first level, no detours.

All the while, Mita did obediently fall still, her six wings retracting against her back so as not to suspiciously hover away from her body. Her eyes went still as well though her lips were pursed in the ghost of an unhappy grimace. She seemed to not enjoy having to play the inanimate object, or maybe she was still anxious about it after what had happened last time? Either way, when they made it into the elevator she let out a held breath in a dramatic sigh. "Huhhh...! That was close!" she squeaked a little nervously, wiggling in Akni's grasp but not squirming free as yet. "Uhm, Srade says that you should be careful (though I would say that too!) but she says 'the high population concentrations in this urban environment increase the probabil-' well, she's saying it'll be easier to get caught! Or- sorry, that you'll probably get caught eventually... but for now you should try your best to avoid it. It's unclear how the civil authorities might react to this city's new guardians and all." She looked up at them apologetically, sympathetic for the bind they've found themselves in.

"What will you do next? Until Srade can get her sensors repaired, she's running blind- so... she suggests you take hit the streets and patrol the city, but..." her voice wavered and she glanced to the side. "I'm sure you all have things to do...? Your teacher mentioned homework..." She had been in class with them after all. "Maybe you could take turns? Or- I don't know. Wait for something to come up?" It seemed there were several options, though without knowing the timing of the next violent outburst it was hard to tell the correct choice. "Srade says that frequency analysis projections indicate- well, she thinks there might be another attack this evening! Though there's not enough of a pattern yet to indicate where..."

Just like clockwork, the five girls fooled the janitors into thinking they were just teenagers being delinquents. Regardless, his reasons were valid, things had been getting chaotic in Central City, even when excluding all these alien invasion shenanigans, it spoke truer to Akni than anyone else, being a CDF investigator. "I have to get to the bottom of this..." If they could prevent the incidents from happening, they'd give CDF a huge break, the department was already strained as it was. With the threat of extraterrestrial demons looming over their heads, there was no reason for Akni to spare any effort.

Soon enough, the elevator doors were closed, then on cue, Mita sprang back to 'life'. Much to her surprise, the janitor's warning struck deeper than she thought, so much Akni momentarily forgot about her weakness for cute things. Her hold on Mita was lax, it wouldn't take much effort for the fairy to squirm out. "Yeah, I agree with her..." On the account of being careful, but... "...What?" Being caught? My, that was a concern... "..." However, Akni reminded herself on what was at stake here, there'd be nothing to worry if Lesadra succeeded cause well... everything would vanish, her friends, CDF, Central City, the very planet they lived on. "I'm one of those city authorities, Mita..." Like it or not, sooner or later, she'd have to explain to her father and superiors about her being a Valiant Sentinel, that'd include the whole affair. Gosh, at least she wouldn't be alone, Ellen and Chie came to mind, being daughters of influential corporate executives They'd all go through this together.

Now that was a good question, what would she do next? Akni had no obligations to return to her alias' fake address, no one was living there but her, she kept contact with her superiors through encrypted channels via her implant and, other than accomodation, her apartment was mostly used as her office and hub. Patrolling wasn't something new to her, but she'd be looking out for something entirely different than mere suspects. Mulling over her thoughts for a moment, "If there'll be an attack this evening... If able, I want to stay together, makes it easier for us to gather with at least two members being in close proximity." She looked over the group, one by one, until her red eyes stopped at the cat-eared Ellen, "How about you, Ellen? Can I stay at your home? Just say that we're having a sleepover, is that alright? I live alone anyway so no worries." ...did she have an ulterior motive? Yes, yes she did.

Ellen let herself be herded down to the elevator with the others. Of course it wasn't safe. It hadn't really been safe in quite some time. Say what she might about the CDF's methods, they were stretched awfully thin even at the best of times, it seemed. And the times were only going to get much worse, from what they'd heard. Still, it felt good to be in a position to make a difference, even if it might be going a little far to just try and be the hero the city needed. That would take far more ability and devotion than any of he girls had, even with their cyberframes.

"I can't imagine Civil Defense will just welcome us with open arms as allies of justice," Ellen thought out loud. "Even if we are largely on the same side, chances are good that we'd just be branded as vigilantes or blamed for whatever happens around us, so we won't be too popular with them, at least at first." She shrugged. "Maybe they'd come around eventually, but it's not going to be as easy as it is in the trids." Sure, there are enough heroes who did get a free pass from the law enforcement there, but this was real life.

"I don't disagree about keeping someone close," Ellen said to Farron, "but isn't it a little rude to just invite yourself over like that?" She held a stern tone in her voice and held the younger girl's gaze for a few moments, letting her sweat while she mulled things over. "My parents should be fine with it, and we can always just say I'm helping you with your homework or something." She did wonder why her, briefly. Still, she couldn't just disappear without issue, after that incident a few years ago.

"Oh! Before we go our separate ways, we should at least exchange numbers." She dug around in her bag and pulled out her commlink. "I can go first." She gave out her number to the other girls.

The janitor was kind in a gruff way, and hard-working, an aging individual that took pride in his work, regardless of how menial it appeared. Yu-Ri could appreciate that, but at the same time, felt a tinge of pity for him. He was too good of a person to succeed in this mechanized world. How long would it take until he lost his job to the machines as well? A year? Two? She smiled softly at him while the elevators closed, her head dipping down slightly.

Hopefully, he'd have retired or died before his life's work is taken.

When the five girls and one green-haired doll were alone once more, Yu-Ri found herself a comfortable little corner in the small space and allowed her eyes to focus on nothing. Though the quintet were privy to alien tech and world-changing information, it wasn't like they were friends yet, or even casual acquaintances. Right now, the space was just a little bit claustrophobic, with all these strangers crammed into a single spot. Mita dispensed some more information, and the other girls discussed such information. Getting caught, patrolling the town, and doing homework, as well as the possibility of another attack by the alien-demon whose name Yu-Ri had already forgotten. So many things that should be important, but weren't, really.

After all, homework was easy if you actually focused, and patrolling wasn't a problem when your parents didn't mind you staying out late in the night. As for getting your identity exposed? She'll worry about that after it happens.

Farron and Ellen seemed to have some sort of arrangement going on, a plan to let them all gather up quickly, but wasn't that a little bit…off? A lie, after all, was better if it made sense, even if the liar was a rich bitch who could probably just wave around electronic money to make people shut up about blatantly sketchy bullshit. Well, if the intention was to gather everyone up, there were easier ways of doing it.

"Ellen, you are a tutor, class representative, student council member, or have been friends with Farron, yes or no? If not, helping a stranger with her homework is odd. Makes more sense if you were to have a study group with your classmates. Easier to justify, and we can form a group of three and a group of two this way. Can also be maintained in the long run."

Well, ultimately, she was only saying this because she recognized the look in Farron's eyes whenever the red-head turned towards Ellen. It was an expression all too familiar for her, and one that she didn't want to see if there wasn't any money involved.

As the issue of exchanging phone numbers popped up as well, with the cat-eared cyborg bringing out a commlink, Yu-Ri sighed. "You can find me on SmartBook, under 'Yuri Kumo'. Don't have a commlink or a number, but it's probably more convenient to just send a message my way."

The black hair classmate named Yu Ri had always been strange. Chie didn't know her too well, but recognized the name. She was also another high exam scoring student in their grade. Other than that, she knew nothing about the strange girl. Oh right, she belonged to the 'Going Home' club. Their school had encouraged students to join a club, and partake in needless interaction, to prep students when they all became loyal drones of society's workforce.

When Ellen gave out her contact information, Chie paid little attention and allowed her mind to wander a bit. She already exchanged information with Ellen as they were picked to work on a literature project together not too long ago. Despite, Ellen's strange appearance, she worked smart and efficiently. Chie guessed that they split the workload complete even, and the quality was the same as well. That was one part was really nice, since Che was often stuck with less hardworking and bright classmates.

"Oh. Miss Ellen, you have my information when we did that school project together." answered Chie as the rest of the girls were busy entering Ellen's information into their devices. "And speaking of which, are we adopting underclassmen now? Th-that seems..." Chie looked at the girls and yawned. "Tiring, but could be fun. Say, little Remi was it? Do you need help with homework or something? I have an apartment not too far from here."

"Oh yeah, that's right," Ellen said to Chie. "No need to track you down a second time." She did also mentally add Yuri as a contact on Smartbook. "And, I just added you, Yuri, so that should work. Don't know why I forgot about that option." The ubiquitous net connection had slipped her mind, for the moment.

"It also...does make more sense to split up by grade instead, good idea." It would be far easier to explain working on homework together with classmates, all right. "This is why I really think we should try and make a club of some sort. It'd give us a perfect excuse to actually be seen together or otherwise associate with each other." It would be a bit of an administrative pain in the ass, but it'd be worth it if they could pull it off. "We can't exactly call ourselves a superhero club, though, so we'd have to think of something better for that."

She looked around at the others, inviting any suggestions or opinions.

"...Sure, whatever." Remi replied giving her commlink information to the others halfheartedly. She hardly used the thing anymore to talk to people, and now it felt like a "business" only thing. Her mind was busy thinking about what they were just doing as the others talked about pairing up and whatever to go home. That's when Chie asked about going to her place.

"Tch." She clicked her tongue at the thought, still sour about not making a cool crater with her weapon. There was also the fact she had someone waiting for her at her house and didn't want to leave them alone. "I don't really want to go to yours." She looked at the others, panning around these new "partners" of hers before going back to look at Chie. "If any of you want to follow me be my guest though. It's a 3 bedroom house and we have one open." She said, her eyes looking away as she brought up the vacancy of one of the rooms.

She didn't bring up a response to Ellen at first though, she didn't have any good ideas to give. "What about a volunteer club?" If she had to do things in a club, she figured it might as well be helping people out before they go out and kill things.

Throughout the egg-shells diplomacy of figuring out who would go where, Mita held her tongue and let them speak. Though whenever the mood got even a little bit tense (such as when Ellen called out Akni on her presumptuousness, or when Chie implied that time together would be tiring, or when Remi refused Chie's offer), the tiny green-haired girl would grow noticeably tense. She would grimace and her bright emerald eyes went wide as if in fear, darting back and forth to ensure that they weren't about to start fighting, while her wings fluttered rapidly in place against her back, tickling Akni's fingers. She didn't escape her holder's grasp though, and fortunately for all their sakes she held off on lecturing them about the importance and/or power of friendship or whatever.

When the discussion shifted to a means of explaining their time spent together the palm-sized assistant finally chimed in. "Oh! You, could maybe do some recycling!" That seemed a bit out of the blue and after a moment she shirked down against Akni's fingers before clearing her throat to clarify. "Srade is going to need quite a bit of scavenged technology to repair the damage done to her systems. I figured... if you were going to volunteer, maybe you could... find some, for her? But- I know, that's not really your problem..." She didn't seem to happy about asking them to do something else on top of the rest, and tapped her two pointer fingers together sheepishly. "M-maybe... you could be idols? That seems to be a very common career choice for virtuous empowered young human females?" She'd apparently been watching the same stream of media that Srade had intercepted in orbit. Thankfully she didn't mention the other half of- "You are too young to participate in a pornogram after all!"

In the distance the dual staccato rumble of an approaching bladed aircraft gradually grew louder.

"Idols? Sounds fun." answered Chie with a smirk on her face. If there was ever a way to absolutely annoy the living hell out of her parents, that was one. Well, pretty much anything that didn't have Chie attend a prestigious college, maintain unreasonably high grades, and join Zamsung. Oh, mother. What would you do if I became an idol, clothed in absolutely scandalous clothes and dancing in that innocent but seductive ways? What would you do if your sweet little Chie became the dreams of boys all around Central City, and not the boys at school?

Chie had been the victim, is that the right word? No, subject. Chie had been the subject of quite a few confession love letters from quite a few students at her school. They were mostly boys of all ages, and a few girls. Chie never got that, but she didn't judge. She was more surprised boring all of those confession love letters were. They praised her intelligence, beauty, and grace. What grace? Chie yawned and slouched all of the time in her classroom. But yet, everyone liked her, even the teachers. They all just said things like 'Oh poor Chie. She must be working hard everyday. It must be difficult to be a Mont heir!' or something equally dull. It was almost as equally dull as how her confessions occurred.

After the flowery words that were often plain plagiarism, they would plead for Chie to meet during some free time in some isolated part of school. Three times next that big tree behind the school, four times on the rooftop greenhouses, and twice in a science lab. Jeez, people were boring. They would try to look their best, try to look masculine or feminine in front of Chie, and praise her more. Oh yes, it was always her hair. Please, the boys often stared at her breasts and butt when they thought she didn't notice. Chie remembered some copy of the boys' creations called "Top Girls in Class 9A". Chie was listed at number three mainly for her face and body, and how creator cited how he would have loved to squeeze and slap her ass. Anyway, all of these confessions would go on for way too long after Chie apologized and rejected them.

As Chie continued to wander her mind, her ears were assaulted by a strange loud rumbling sound. It was pretty far away, but it sounded unusual.

"Do you, girls hear something?"

"Idols..." The words came out of the girl's mouth without much thought. She wasn't too sure on her singing, or her dancing for that matter. Her parents praised her voice, but don't most parents do that to make their child feel better? There was also the thought of what those idols tend to wear for all those fans of theirs. So much skin would be shown! She didn't care too much at just the skin being shown though, considering her usual attire, but the thought of doing that just for people to ogle at her-

Wait, no they won't.

Her eyes shifted towards the two upper upperclassmen, Chie and Ellen. Her face went from pseudo-apathy to being upset again, clicking her tongue at the thought of having to share the stage with two much more... developed girls. She was still twelve dammit! She had a long ways to grow and didn't want to be compared to hags who are probably already done growing. She brought a hand to her washboard of a chest. Soon. She thought, looking at Chie's Chies with jealousy. Those damn mountains made Remi lose her crush when they (failed to) asked out Chie instead of just asking Remi out!

"Do you, girls hear something?"

As a matter of fact Remi did hear something, and it sounded like it was getting closer. "I hear it too. It's getting louder."
