Violet didn't realize they landed she was in a sugar coma.

"Good luck to you swordsman" Oshea said to him as he left the airship and comically grabbed his cousin and dragged her like a rag doll but it was ok she'd wake up soon. He was outside looking at Beacon thinking of his goal

@Ramboing

Venedrict grinned even wider at Dahlia's comment, he was starting to think Beacon was going to be even better than expected.
"I'm Venedrict Grüne, but hey, call me Ven. It's a bit of a mouthful, I know. So... you looking forward to landing?"
It was after her answer that Ven noticed himself feeling a little lighter... they were finally going down for a landing!
"Oh hell yeah. We're here!" He said as he released the vines' grip on the luggage rail, and he dropped to the floor, rolling as he landed. He was practically jumping up and down with excitement... well, he was, essentially, though at least for once he was staying in one spot, mostly.
As the airship landed, he was about to race off straight for Beacon, but then he looked back, remembering Dahlia behind him.
"You coming? Let's go!"

Dahlia grinned, kicking off from the wall and landing with an acrobatic flip next to Ven. They were here they were here they were here! "Yeah! Let's do this, Ven!" Dahlia said, shouting with excitement. She set off running for the exit. Suddenly she paused, skidding to a halt. "Damnit! My bag!" Dahlia dashed back in, hurdling over seats until she reached her own. Zipping up her bags, she hoisted them onto her shoulder. She hurried back to the exit, grinning apologetically at Ven. "Heheheh, sorry 'bout that. Let's go." Setting off, she realised she had no idea where to go. Where were the guides to send them in the right direction? Where were they even went to go?

Motioning to Ven to wait, Dahlia ran up a nearby tree. Alternating between hopping from branch to branch and vertically up the trunk, she quickly reached the top, hopping in and sitting down in a fork in the tree. Dahlia sighed with contentment as she settled against the bark. She had missed this freedom of moving through the trees. Vale was nice and all, but she felt stifled sometimes without the freedom to move as she would. Staring out across the Academy grounds, she saw the students largely congregating at a certain building. Guess that was where they were going. Dahlia jumped off the tree, swinging from branch to branch until she hopped nimbly to the ground. "Alright, looks like we go this way!" Grabbing Ven by the arm, she half-dragged him towards what appeared to be where they were meant to be going.

Rias felt the airship land as the guy introduced himself and shook her hand. "Hello Mardi, my name is rias sandow." She smiled as she noticed the door opening letting them off the airship. "Well it looks like we're finally here." She said as she let go of his hand. "Well I'll see you at later, hopefully we can be teammates." She turned around and disappeared into the crowd of students getting off the airship.

Dahlia seemed great, he thought as they both ran out of the airship together. It seemed like they both acted in the same way, kind of, and like they would be of similar fighting styles, that being highly mobile and speedy. She even stole his idea of clambering up a tree to see where they had to get to!
Despite him thinking of it first -definitely- he was content enough to let her do it, though he did notice just in time whenever, in her rush of excitement, she stepped on a flimsy branch, and with a quick hand motion he reinforced them without her noticing. He was sure she had some kind of landing strategy, but it was probably a bit early to start using it - they had only just got here, after all. Not that he could wait to get started, and he thought about all the stuff they'd do even before getting into their teams. Damn, he hoped he and Dahlia would get into the same team. They were already getting along so well.
Ven's thoughts went from the future straight back to the present when she swung her way back down to his level. She knew the way, it seemed, or at least he hoped so, and he ran along with her as she led him off to their destination.
"Hey, do you remember the programme? I had mine somewhere, don't know where it went... probably left it somewhere..."

Watching as the finally landed indeed after their brief introduction towards each other Mardi glanced back and saw others stepping off. Waving goodbye as Rias went on her way Mardi returned his gauntlets to their home inside his black dufflebag, and took one final calming breath before tossing it over his shoulder and followed the other passengers off the ship. Stepping outside he paused for a minute as he hadn't gotten a good look of Beacon back on the ship...and boy was his uncle right about how grandiose this school really was. He snapped back to attention as someone gave him a gentle push on his back to keep him moving on down the line alongside everyone else.

"I can't believe it i'm finally here and there's so much going on even though we've just only begun." He thought to himself not really paying attention to where he was going as he followed the crowd towards what seemed to be the main hall. Slowly his thoughts turned towards his brother and wondered if everything was just as overwhelming back home as it is here. "Ah what am I thinking he'll be fine. Besides knowing him he'll probably be strolling in like the big shot he clamis to be...maybe he'll get knocked down a peg or two by the students over there." Letting the slightest smile creep onto his face at the thought Mardi carried on with the rest of his schoolmates hoping that this ended soon since he was starving a little bit.

♥ROSE HEART♥

[fieldbox=", #ff99cc, solid"]
Seeing as the magic trick had ended, Rose went back to her seat on the Airship. She kept her vision towards the outside of the window, bouncing her right leg up and down, waiting to get out of the Airship and get to Beacon already. While she sat there, she wondered what her team name would be... and who her teammates would be as well. Rose hoped that at least one of her teammates would be like her, fun and positive, not boring and negative. Flipping her hair behind her shoulder, she felt the turbulence, notifying everyone that they were coming to a stop. She could see how beautiful and gorgeous the place was even through the window. "Time to get the show on the road." Grabbing her two sparkly pink bags, Rose headed out of the Airship, trying to not bump into the other eager and excited students.

Once she got out and into the open area, Rose's amazement was overwhelmed... she couldn't believe how beautiful the place was. "If the outside is this amazing... I can't wait to see the inside!" She started snapping pictures of the outside of Beacon Academy, her stomach was nervous... and she felt like she could throw up, but luckily she didn't, for now that is.

★MARCELLUS ELLINGTON★

[fieldbox=", #98ff98, solid"]
Marcellus was sound asleep, nothing could wake him up... well, except the movement of the Airship coming to a halt. He was halfway off the soft couch, so when the Airship shook even a little, it made him fall to the floor. "Ah!" He screamed, taking a moment to finally realize where he was. He hopped off the floor, dusting off his vest and jeans. "We made it... and no casualties, well just a little one." He gave a small smirk to himself. Marcellus grabbed his basic black bag of everything he needed, putting it over his shoulder, with Viper's Ending attached to the strap. Marcellus left out of the Airship, staring up at Beacon Academy. His father had told him soo much about the school, but seeing it for yourself was a whole different level of disbelief and astonishment. "Wow..." Was all that came out of the young male's mouth, as he followed the other students towards wherever they needed to go.

Rias hadn't even been off the airship and people were already giving her dirty looks for her faunus heritage. "Well I'm still in vale so nothing has changed. We're still looked down upon." She tugged on alphas strap. It gave her comfort knowing that it was always here for her.

'Take a deep breath... here we go'

The music began to play through her headphones as light broke the seems of the doorway, the ramp lowering to reveal the campus of Beacon Academy. The young musician steeled herself to the first day nerves as her sapphire eyes adjusted to the contrast of light, stepping forwards onto the ramp with her hand raised above her eyes to guard against the sunlight for a moment before she headed down towards the docking platforms. The area was already filled with all kinds of different people from all years, coming in an array of colors and senses of fashions found prevalent among the many different parts of Remnant. "Magnolia Cadenza" the young girl eventually spoke her name, the gentlemen behind the directory kiosk giving a confirming nod before sliding some papers towards her, an itinerary of sorts for her first day so she knew where she needed to be and for what time. "Thank you" she said softly with an accompanying smile before turning, looking around to find some sort of spot she could anchor herself too so she wasn't swept away in the crowds while checking the information.

Eventually she found herself a nice comfortable spot off the main road into Beacon, a patch of green grass where she could settle on as her hands flicked between the papers. As she took her seat she set her weaponized instrument beside her, a large guitar looking instrument which looked far bigger and thicker than your standard every day guitar. Deaths Crescendo, it had been affectionately named and with good reason. Magnolia unraveled the rouge ribbon from around her arm to set it down gently beside her before returning her attention to the papers. It appeared there would be some time later to explore the campus a little which was comforting as the campus was fairly large and a concern was being able to find where she'd need to go when transitioning between periods. Magnolia reached into a small bag that hung from her shoulder to the length of her waist, pulling from it a small book and a pencil. She began to take down notes from the information sheets, finding it'd be easier than carrying around the papers all day and then accidentally losing them.

"Excuse me" a voice pulled her from her train of though, her attention shifting from the book to look up at a young man whom approached her as she slid her earphones from her head. "I was wondering if you could help us, we're trying to find the directory kiosk and... well, as you can tell the crowds are still a bit thick" he smiled sheepishly. "Oh, I just came from there" she replied, getting to her feet before turning to look back to where she'd came from, raising her arm to indicate the area. "It's a little ways back but not too far" she said before stepping closer to the boy so his line of site could match where she was indicating. "You can just see the top pf the kiosk from here" she continued, the boy giving a confirming nod before turning towards her. "Got it, thanks for the help" he said, turning to take his leave before stopping and looking over his shoulder, "Hey, what did you say your name was?" he asked. "Magnolia, but people tend to call me Lea for short" she replied with a smile. The boy gave a nod, "The names Madix, I'll hopefully see you around" he said before giving a wave, returning to what she assumed were his friend.

The blond musician once again sat on the grass by her things and continued to scribble her notes into the book. According to the itinerary they'd be called into the main hall for a greeting presentation from the headmaster. Such a thing was expected and not uncommon within academies, but it would be nice to meet the man who ran the place. Magnolia tapped the pencil against her lips before eventually finding herself satisfied that she'd recorded all the necessary information. 'Now I guess it's just a matter of waiting' she thought to herself. A bell was due to ring to signal all students into the hall for the greeting, so she guessed she'd relax and enjoy the weather till then. In the meantime however she decided to look to the others walking by, taking notes of what she had to assume were their weapons. They came in all manner of shapes and sizes, some huge while others so small you had to really look closely to see them. It made for interesting thought on how they planned to use them, different styles of fighting learned and accessed from all parts of Remnant. It reminded her of her own past.

'THWOMP! SSSSSSSSSHHHHBOOM!!'

The detonation of the grenade was received by the ecstatic thunderclap of the audience cheering for the hunter whom stepped through the cloud residue left in the wake of the explosion, his expression devoid of emotion save for the creeping smirk that began across his features. "Lil' miss yer in a whole heap 'a trouble" he said in a deep gravely voice, peering over his shades beneath the rim of his black stetson hat. "You'll need to try... harder than that" the blonde musician replied between labored breaths, blood leaking from the corner of her mouth. Her hair was disheveled and her combat dress was torn in places from shrapnel thrown from the blasts administered by the hunters weapon, a grenade launcher that transformed into a singular gauntlet with tremendous strength. Her team mates had been knocked out of the fight, leaving her to be the 'last man standing'.

The hunter gave an amused chuckle before he spun the chamber of his launcher, the auto loader pushing colored shells into the cylindrical tubes to await dispatch at his opponent. Lea had concentrated her attention on him, almost missing the throwing knife which caught the sunlight, causing it to flash for a mere moment before it glanced off her shield, clattering to the ground a distance away from her. "I wouldn't antagonize him, unless you like the thought of being turned into bits and pieces" the voice was softer and sweeter, though edged with danger. It's owner revealed itself at the side of the hunter, a huntress with long dark hair. "You're outnumbered and out matched. Do yourself a favor and throw in the towel Blondie, lest you like tasting your own blood" a third voice, this one belonging to a small pale guy wielding a club twice his size.

Lea let out a soft breath and with a labored motion that suggested she was physically weakening, she lifted the shield higher and reasserted her stance, "Are you going to stand there talking... or are you going to finish the fight?" she replied. The three exchanged glances, the grenade launching hunter giving a shrug before pointing the weapon towards her. "Welp, ah aint claimin' to be no gentlemen, so let's get this done" he said before the chamber spun, firing off a shell towards the musician leaving a yellow smoke trail in it's wake.

The blond huntress stepped forwards and slammed her shield against the grenade, the detonation reverberating through the shield as the area she deflected the blast towards exploded with debris and shrapnel. By the time she'd soaked up the vibration and recomposed herself the other two had descended on her, the giant club slamming down towards her to be met by her shield. She stepped to the side and pulled the trigger on the shield, a wave of sound exploding from the larger part of the instrument which launched the club away and towards the girl, knocking her away with a cry of pain before Lea spun on her heel, bringing the sword around in swift strokes that struck the club wielder a few times before he withdrew to a safer distance.

Another grenade glanced from her shield but before she could gain the direction it was fired from he landed beside her, the grenade gauntlet slamming into her side, causing her to cough blood before he drew his arm back and punched downwards onto her shield arm, causing her to scream as it broke under the tremendous pressure, her shield clattering to the ground. "Yah shoulda walked away kid" he said and drew back for another strike. Lea quickly slid her foot forwards and twisted her heel, spinning her body before shooting her other leg up to intercept the punch, her aura absorbing the reverberation before releasing it from the point of contact, sending him skipping across the floor like a flat stone across a lake.

She ducked under the swing of the incoming club, flicking her wrist before sending him away again with a hit from the sword. It bought her some time but it hadn't saved her entirely as the girl reappeared, spinning her knives before throwing slashes towards the musician determined to utilize a passive ability in her blades to paralyze her victims. Lea intercepted them with her sword, struggling a little before jumping forwards and kicking her in the chest to push her away for a moment. The grenade launching hunter had recovered and stood up, loading another shell with an angry expression on his face. Lea had but a moment as she dropped her sword and dove for her shield, picking it up with her remaining arm just in time to guard against the explosion. Unfortunately her stance hadn't been solid and with only one arm to brace against it she was thrown across the arena floor, tumbling for a moment before coming to a stop.

Shakily she got to her feet, coughing more blood to the floor in front of her before standing straight. Reaching down she adjusted the dials, turning the frequency all the way up before hugging the shield tight and pulling the trigger, releasing explosion after explosion into herself as her aura began to charge. The three opponents noticed and tried to intercept her, running towards her to finish the job. Lea dropped her shield, her left eye a furious blue glow that wisped into the air like the smoke from a cigarette. As they closed she took a deep breath, rolling forwards under the club and between two of them before standing and turning to release a shout so loud and with so much force that it cracked the concrete beneath them, the force throwing them from their feet and out of the arena.

"Magnolia Cadenza wins by Arena knockout" the voice on the PA speakers announced to the sounds of cheering and clapping. The musician exhaled and dropped to her knees, coughing and seeming unable to revel in the victory from the injuries she'd sustained in securing the win. She sat there for a moment before she felt two sets of arms lift her by her shoulders, supporting her as they picked her up. "Now that wer one helluva play lil' missy" the grenade launching hunter said as he supported her. "Not bad, not bad at all" the girl said as she picked up her other side, the side with the broken arm. The smaller hunter with the club picked up her instrument, trailing behind them silently. "Thank... you" she replied between labored breaths with a small smile, "And you said... you were no gentlemen".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~oo000 Two years and two months latter, Beacon 000oo~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That fight had been what earned her an invitation to Beacon. Though she'd been too young at the time and was forced to wait till she was old enough. Not that she minded much, she was just grateful to have the opportunity. One thing was certainly for sure, this year was going to be quite interesting.
Violet woke up from her coma... "whoa sugar rush...hmmm oh did we land?" she asked as she stood up....
"Yea we did a couple of minutes ago" he replied
Violet looked at Beacon seems like everyone was getting settled in... she looked at her cousin.. "You know I'm going to do everything in my power to be on your team Si.... Shea" she said to him
"You don't have to worry about me I don't care what your dad told you to do... just leave me alone"
"Your parents would want family to look out for you, if we had did that before maybe you wouldn't..."
"Maybe I wouldn't what... you know what Violet just leave it alone this is a new start for me" he replied
Violet got closer to him.... "New start .. you better hope it is"
Creed watched her walk off... as he went the opposite way...
He was looking for somewhere to relax because his cousin got him upset bringing up his parents so he sat down by the fountain remembering his mom and dad.
Both were top hunters his mom was known for her skills with a rifle, he remembered seeing his mom practice shooting she could hit any target and that is when she wasn't using dust bullets. Other hunters use to tell stories of the impossible shots she had made she was even the one who inspired Violet to become a sniper. She actually had a temper like Violet to especially in combat he was told. She taught him how to shoot, not a sniper rifle but guns in general he never got into sniper rifles she passed before she could show him how.
tumblr_nesn5dEWXz1rbrys3o1_500.gif
His dad was a fighter who used gauntlets to increase his strength and punching power he remembered fighting with his dad and never being able to touch him. That's what made his parents such a good team, his dad could take out grimm with his bare hands, but the gauntlets made things easier.
Violet was just offering candy to everyone trying to make new friends, she was actually looking for the headmaster to talk about teams she had to be there to watch her little cousin.
"Wait...there was a programme?" Dahlia vaguely remembered some other stuff coming with the acceptance letter, but who read that stuff anyway, right? Admittedly she had grabbed the letter and gone dashing around the local area whooping with joy, and she may have knocked the rest of it on her way past. "I may have...erm...mislaid that at some point. It wasn't too important, was it?" God she hoped not. People were crowding around a set of desks, where they were being given booklets and stuff. Maybe something there would tell them what to do. "I'm gonna go grab some of that stuff in case there's anything that's serious business." Dahlia joined the back of the crush and began the slow, laborious process of inching her way ever closer.
Ven had about as much of an idea as Dahlia when it came to what to do - that is, little more than try and get to the damn desks despite the crowd of prospective huntsmen and huntresses. He decided, though, that he could think of a somewhat more effective method of getting past said crowd, to their prize: knowledge, the most useful yet often most boring of prizes.
The plants in his leg armour extended, raising him of the ground, until his legs were above everyone's heads and he could easily get past.
"Race you to the desks?" he said to Dahlia, beginning the wade through the people beneath him, weird looks a plenty being directed his way.
@The_J
Violet saw a crowd, and soon she saw someone grow plants from his feet and begin stepping through the crowd of people... "COOOOL" she said as this person looked like they were walking on stilts made of plants. Violet created a light glyph in front of this person and teleported right to him landing on his back....
again this wasn't normal etiquette but violet being violet had no issue with personal space....
"HIIII SO COOL HOW YOU MADE PLANTS GROW.... IM VIOLET DO YOU WANT SOME CANDY" she said offering him some cherry lollipops ... while hanging off his back.
"So where we headed?" she asked
Rias saw the large crowd of students raiding the desk. "Ok so that's probably where were supposed to go, but I really hate lines." She walked to about 15 feet behind the large crowd before throwing the strap of alpha over her head. She closed her eyes as her body began to glow white. She then opened her eyes which had been sky blue to a soul piercing yellow. She then rushed towards the crowd of students jumping just before she hit the back of the last students. Once up in the air she spun forward landing on the table. "Well this mine now she said as picked up a programme." She looked up at the students on the branch. Before waving jumping up on to the branches, she walked up to them. "I'm sorry but I'll be using this to get back. 'She said as she saw the girl offering suckers. " awesome, may I have one?" She asked pointing to the suckers.
It was all going well until the an idiot nearly stepped on him. Jay was only standing in the long line to the desk, waiting for his turn to sign in when he looked up to see foot coming down on him.
"HOLY CRAP!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!!" Jay yelled as he quickly dodged to the side.
After a couple seconds, he looked up to see some person with strangely long legs walking over the line of people. "OI YOU IDIOT WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" The person didn't turn. No surprise there, what was I hoping for. Well then, lets have some fun.... How 'bout we show this guy how tele-
Just as he was about to blink to Mr Long Legs, some crazy girl had already jumped on.
"AH COME ON WHY DO YOU HAVE TO STILL MY IDEAS!"
Wait... Another teleporter... Wow this school is crazy. First a super leg guy and now a teleporting girl. What next a flyin-
*WHOOOOSHHH*
Why am I even surprised.....
"Showoffs." Mardi commented as he watched as many students preformed tricks to get to the head of the line. He always did wish that his semblance had a more conventional use likes others did instead of the more destructive side, as helpful in a fight is may be. Reaching the line a bit faster than most as he was able to weave his way, and many just allowed it to happen upon getting a glimpse of his form. He gave a smile to the reps that apparently were serving as the greeting committee as he grabbed whatever they labeled essential towards their new school life at Beacon.
"Academy life and you huh? I'll give this a once over after everything calms down a bit." Just as he was about to walk away one of the ladies stopped him and asked if he could spare a few minutes. "Uh, if you don't mind could you help serve as a kinda indicator towards the main hall. I mean you being so tall and all i'd be hard to miss someone like you." Seeing why not he accepted and was handed a sign to hold to show which way to go afterwards. "And the downfalls of being tall continue to pile up...i'm just glad he's not here to see this."
The airship had finally reached the dock & August began to get anxious as he felt the flow of people head out towards to the unloading dock, crowds, just another thing that got on his nerves, never been much of a people person. As the people began to move past, he tried to move back up front & get Chance's attention before he lost the opportunity. "Hey Chance? Hey, have we met be-" He was cut off as someone signaled for him to keep moving, August turned back to glare at that guy but couldn't make him out from the people behind him as he felt himself heading out towards the unloading dock. He didn't get a chance to ask, still pretty eeried out that somehow Chance knew his name. Was he from Signal? no....probably not, he wouldn't forget someone that distinguishable if they went there together.... Back from Atlas? someone in Vale?
August continued to ask himself how the hell he could've known. Glaring as an increasing amount of students continued to press against his back to move forward, "Hey yea, can you please stop pushing? we're almost there." August sighed, relenting to moving with this pack. Soon enough though, he along with everyone else emerged. The first thing he felt, when he came outside, was more annoyance, several students having had used abilities to cheat everyone to the front of the line. They're not toys....Just no good, self-centered, careless mor-. His thought was cut off as he saw the walkway up ahead, the massive arches strewn along the architecture of Beacon. He walked off to the side as the crowd dispersed, he took a deep breath, accepting he was finally at Beacon.
Is this real? Is this where I become a hunter? He thought back to his family, to his dad, his mom. Neither of them of were hunters, as far as he knew no one in his family's history had ever become hunters. He would be the first, with no one's footsteps to have paved the way before him, what he did now, he'd be doing for himself. He stared at the tallest tower, remembering why he came here and smiled. It wasn't Atlas but it would be decent enough if things worked out. August headed ahead, evading more students & fetching a programmed, eagerly pouring over this new information to find out what there was in store for the rest of the day, as he gazed at the scroll he walked past someone holding a sign.
@Blitzfang43
It was the rather monstrously large guy from the ship, holding up a sign in the air pointing out the main hall. August could swear he looked just a tad bit familiar. Is my memory playing tricks on me again? First freaking Chance & now this beast. Where the HELL??? do I know him from?. It dawned after a few moments of looking at him curiously, he remembered someone who looked a bit like him back at Signal Academy, sometime in the first quarter before he had begun to cut classes.... but he wasn't nearly as massive as he was now. Programme in hand, he walked up. He looked up at him, hesitantly wondering if it was really him, "Heya, um, did you happened to attend Signal?" he asked as he narrowed his eyes curiously.
"Right this way people! Main hall of beacon and the start of a new and fun school year just over yonder!" To be honest at first Mardi considered this to be stupid, but after a few minutes of direction giving he decided that maybe it wasn't as bad as he initially thought. He was gonna be here until the woman returned from getting more supplies to hand out at the table, and until then he might as well enjoy it while it lasts right?
He was pulled his little train of thought when someone walked up and asked him a question. Tilting his gaze downwards he looked at the man who called his attention. "Huh? Oh yeah I did attend Signal actually." He replied as he looked at his face trying to see if he could remember who this guy was. Then it struck him as he remembered the guy as they had shared a course together and he wasn't the type to forget a face once he's seen it. "Oh wait a second! Your uh...August right? I think we had a class together at Signal if i'm not mistaken." Knowing that he had found a familiar face within this sea of strangers did well to ease Mardi's anxiety at being on his own at the start.
It looked like Ven's plan was working. He was making good progress in the press to get to the booth, however no good success is without something to throw it off.
He nearly stepped on someone, and before he could even apologise, a girl appeared from a circle of light in front of him, grabbing on and holding tight. He was already slightly off-balance, and the sudden introduction of a fast-moving mass, namely the very clingy girl, maent that he was sent tipping back.
He just about saved himself by making the vines send down roots to hold fast to the ground, and they just about held them from hitting the other students when he thrust vines down his arm and to the ground, pushing himself back upright and regaining his balance.
"Woah there! Someone's friendly, huh? Uh, hold on tight, wouldn't want to drop you. Sure, I'll have one, thanks! I guess you can stay up here for a bit." Ven said. She seemed sweet enough, if a bit unaware of the general idea of personal space. Luckily he was a friendly guy himself, and didn't mind it. She was lucky he was so amiable, a lot of people would have been pretty distraught at her by now. Despite the sweets.
"I'm trying to get to the welcome booth. What's your name, by the way? I'm Ven."
Soon after saying this, his plant legs had carried them all the way to the front of the pressing crowd. Once there, he realised that, especially with the extra weight of the girl, it would be a hard balancing act to pick up the leaflets himself, so he made vines sprout forth from his arm to take hold of the papers and bring them up, passing one to Ven's hand and the other to the girl's, and he stuffed it into the bag at his side.
That done, getting back out of the crush of prospective hunters and huntresses was much easier than getting in, and once out, he receded the vines back into his armour, placing his feet back on solid ground.
"D'you want to hop off my back now? I need to wait for a friend, she's somewhere in there..." Ven said, indicating the crowd, "You go run ahead. I'll see you later, hopefully!"
That done, Ven called into the crowd, looking for his new friend, "Dahlia? Dahlia? Where'd you go?"
You'd think a girl with deer antlers would be easier to find.
Dahlia had hung back as Ven had gone striding in on his plant legs. Grinning wickedly, a plan came into her head as he turned and began to call for her. Dashing towards an overhanging blossom tree, she made a beeline up the trunk before creeping along a narrow branch until she was almost above him. Thankfully, people had given his big planty feet a wide berth as he stomped towards the front, and there was still a small area around him that people hadn't yet filtered back into yet. Dropping off the branch, Dahlia plummeted in behind Ven, her knees working overtime to absorb the impact onto the hard stone courtyard. Straightening herself up, she turned her back to Ven and called into the crowd.
"Ven? Ven?! Where'd you go?"
That done, she turned to Ven and waited with a smug smirk on her face.
