Rusty made his way to the Proffessor Ozpins speech for the new students. Along the way he admired the architecture. This was what humanity could do. These works of art showed intelligence beyond that of any animal. It was worth protecting. It was what he would be protecting. IF he survived the initiation. He heard that they throw the noobies into a pit of grimm and see which ones come out alive. He found the first-years and stood alongside a blue-haired girl. "Didn't miss anything did I?" From the looks of it he probably didn't.

Following the speech, he drifted towards the lockers. While he loathed being without a weapon, he could not walk around campus and risk damaging his weapon, if the encounter earlier was... repeated. He was issued a locker and endured a breif primer on the rocket-propelled system they worked off of. So for if something caused him to be unarmed in the field, he could request his locker dropped to him within a few minutes. A good idea, sure, but not practical. If he was any distance from Beacon, the time it took the locker to fly could mean his death. He would also have to set the drop point in an area where he could patrol, which was difficult in a hostile area.

Michael took the chance to look around at the others, spotting a few faces he recognized from the airship he has flown in on. Most were anynomous, and he hoped he was one of those faces. He spotted the heterochromatic-eyed girl who had fallen off the airship just before landing.
