The speech was anything but pleasant. Of course, she knew that things weren't all unicorns and rainbows nowadays, but to put it in those words... Were something that could really bring down the mood. She wasn't far too scared of death however, she wasn't very fond of the idea of dying either. Especially being in the shoes of one who is about to die, and witnessing a child who was about to if she hadn't helped out. Of course, she knew she couldn't die. It was the reason she agreed to even join Beacon in the first place, to grow stronger, get more experience, and have enough power to save her family. She had more than enough strength, but she never had enough in-field experience to begin with. Well, it was time for the moment of truth. She would pass this test, or whatever challenge awaited her...

Or she will die trying.

Well regardless, after that, she proceeded to the hall and sat down on her sleeping bag. She noticed then where Vi and Grant were sleeping, and she appeared to be right next to Grant. "Oh, so you guys are sleeping here too?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. She brushed off Vi's BS statement, and just smiled at her. Her weapon was currently in it's Evoke Form, but to really make it more easy for her to carry around, they had transformed into metal anklets at the moment. "it's nice, to have company." She giggled, sitting cross legged as she looked at the two. "Of course, when we decide the teams, we'll have to be quick. There are probably gonna be some random way though."

Amethyst smiled a bit, laying back and looking up at the ceiling. If people didn't know any better, people would think she were 18 or something, mainly because her body matured so early. She would probably change into her night gown later, but she wasn't tired yet.

Grant was searching around for a spot when Vi came up behind him. "Ha, I'll have you know that I don't stalk people." Smiling, he jabbed a thumb at himself. "If anything its the ladies that stalk me." He looked out over the hordes of people. He had seen photos from previous years. None of them contained this many students. This year was going to be a busy one. "I guess it's like that. One big sleepover before tomorrows massacre." He bit his lip after that last part. He did not mean say that. Even though everyone knew that some students may die tomorrow, it was a dark thing to say.

To avoid the awkward silence that would follow, Grant quickly found himself a nice spot against the wall. He didn't need a sleeping bag. The cold was much more inviting to him. It reminded him of the settlement he came from. Soon the girl with the purple hair laid down on his right. He couldn't remember her name. "Oh hi." He snapped his fingers trying to remember her name. "You're...Amy? Amyeth? Amthy?" He couldn't quite put his finger on it.

He wondered where that other girl with the boxes was. She looked like she had an interesting weapon.

Vi giggled at Grants comeback. She knew he would be a fun person to mess with. As such she was already thinking up her next move when Amethyst appeared. Vi grabbed started stroking her pigtails in as she remembered their first encounter. Then she sat down asking if they were sleeping here. Vi started to blush for she had never slept around a boy before. She never really liked anyone that much.

Then Amethyst mentioned that team thing. Vi looked down as she sat on the floor. Why did she have to be on a team? Why could she not be by her self. Other people just brought weakness and a reason to feel sad. They limited your fight as you had to worry about them. "Maybe this year they won't make teams..." She said before crawling to Grant. She wanted to change the conversation quickly. She put her finger in his chest, "Oh, so where are your lady stalkers?"

Neon Navir
Loud metallic screeching could be heard throughout the room as Neon, in his finest hour, dragged the boxes of his weapons towards where the people he met were. He gave a sheepish grin as he stopped next to them and placed a small bundle of blankets on one end of the boxes. "Oh hello all. How is everyone this evening? Doing well I hope?" He said politely.

"And what stalkers do you mean?" Neon said, overhearing the last part of Vi's statement. "Do you happen to have romantically obsessed acquaintances that have followed here to Beacon?" He asked grant in his all to feminine voice. Stalkers were dangerous, especially since not only do they endanger themselves by stalking a huntsman, they endanger others with their obsession.

Amethyst

Amethyst let out a soft sigh, slowly moving down and laying on her sleeping bag. She leaned back, closing her eyes and listening to the others speaking around and about. She was pretty observant, despite being kind-hearted and all. She wasn't too fond about the idea of teams either, but it wouldn't be nice to fight by yourself, it gets lonely. "I'm going to go change." Amethyst smiled, getting up and walking off for a moment to change into her night gown.

Once she got changed, she walked back out whilst holding onto a little purple stuffed rabbit. She had a habit of keeping it when her as she slept, almost like a child. Her nightgown was a light, lavender color, and she was also wearing a darker purple, one piece under the almost translucent dress.

Although, as she was walking, a few males stared at her, prompting her to kick them. Not just saying this, but her kick was strong, even without her weapon equipped. She left a mark on the male's cheek, and if she actually did try to hurt him, it probably could have dislocated his own jaw. The other males were put off by this, though a few still dared to keep looking at her, almost annoying her a bit.

"Please stop looking at me like that." She asked, sweetly, before returning to her sleeping bag. It was times like these where she didn't like sleeping in public, and her father would probably disapprove of all the boys.

@Too lazy to type all the names in

Grant sat against the wall, interlocking his fingers behind his head. He liked the idea of teams. It's always good to have someone that watches your back. Teams also provided more concentrated firepower. He was about to give his opinion when Vi placed her finger on his chest. "Hm, I think I'm looking at one." He smiled like a player and winked.

A god awful metal screeching announced Neons arrival. "Ey, what's in the boxes? A minigun? A rocket launcher? A minigun launcher?"

Vi's faces became hot red after Grants comment. "N-N-N.... IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT," she shouted as while quickly backing away from him. She then crawled into her sleeping bag which was right next to Amethyst. "Idiot," she quietly repeated as she zipped up her bag and hid inside. She was not prepared for that comeback and her heart was beating wildly. His comment was the only thing running through her mind. "I... dont like him, and even if I did... ARGH!" She was squirming and kicking in her sleeping bag.

Then a horrible metallic screeching pierced her ears. she covered her ears as she unzipped her sleeping bag and peeked out side to see the girl from earlier, Neon and her metal boxes. She remember Neon offering to show her weapon before the speech. Vi heard Grant ask what was in the boxes. "Idiot, don't you remember. It her... uhh... I forgot." her face turned red again. "ARGH... go make her stop dumb Grant." She shouted while throwing a small book at him. (side note... Vi does not read...)

Neon Navir
Neon blinked as he watched the book fly towards Grant. "Uhm...is she alright?" He asked in his feminine voice as he looked at Vi's direction. "...I half expected her to come flying out of her sleeping bag equipped with gauntlets strong enough to bust a giant safe...but that's just me..." He rambled on before shaking his head. "No, nothing so special, just my chainsaws." He answered Grant. "I could never figure out how to incorporate a ranged weapon into one chainsaw...so I made two." He added.

"This is Wrath" He pointed to the one of the boxes. "This is Fury." He said pointing to the other. "Want to try lifting them? They're pretty light..." He said, not realizing that they were only light due to his monstrous strength.
@All ya'll...

"I have... No idea."

Amethyst paused for a moment, looking at the three. Okay, so, what was happening right now; Vi had more or less turned flustered, Grant was questioning Neon, and she was... just sitting there. She could tell that others were bothered by the screeching and the yelling, so she decided to take the initiative of calming them down. "Vi? Others are trying to sleep so could you be just a tad bit quieter?" She asked, trying not to sound rude or hostile. The girl sat up on her sleeping bag, her weapon gently swinging on her ankles. Since she had already more or less scolded Vi, she might as well join in with the talk of weapons quietly. The girl listened to the chainsaw talk, and the Amethyst pointed at her anklets. "These are my weapons, Freedom. Though, they are Evoke right now." She said, as the weapons quickly activated themselves and covered around her feet like a mecha suit around her feet. The heels were a dark purple with white parts. They didn't look strong, but she had already loaded them with yellow dust.

"Oh and.. Please don't let them screech so much.. Others are trying to sleep.." She said, as Evoke had returned to being thin, metal anklets. She gently brought her hair behind her shoulders, moving her bangs to the side. She let out a yawn, and would probably be going to bed eventually. It was going to be a big day tomorrow.

Grant had to bite his lip to keep from laughing like a hyena at Vi's reaction. Though, he felt like he might have crossed a line. As Vi curled up in her bag he turned his attention back to Neon. "Damn, looks like you could cut an ursa clean in half with that."

He rubbed his eyes a little and looked across the room at the clock. It was practically midnight. Why the hell did they have to ship the new students in at night? He'd probably get a good 6 hours ours sleep instead of 8. "I'd love to chat more, but at this rate I won't ever fall asleep. G'night. sleep tight don't let the Grimm bite." He closed his eyes and slumped over. Apparently, he had been more tired than he let on.

Vi pouted and ducked back into her bag. Though the purple hair girl was right, Vi was only reacting to the metal noise. Besides who cares about those other people, especially Grant. He was probably the weakest one here. She squirmed around until she got into a comfortable position and yawned.

It was late and here energy was starting to die down. Under the darkness in her sleeping bag she closed her eyes and fell asleep. "Stupid Grant." She muttered before entering dream land.

Neon Navir
Neon looked around and marveled at how unified people can be when working towards a common goal, sleep. She shrugged and searched around one of the metal boxes for a blanket, which, by the way, had rainbow clouds on a starry night sky for decoration, and gently laid it on top of one of the boxes. "Well...goodnight to you all I guess..." He said before lying down on a blanket covered box. Moments later, soft and gentle purring could be heard as Neon's cat ears unfolded themselves and twitched randomly.

That night, he dreamed of massacring zombies while riding a tank that had treads that acted like chainsaws.
@All ya'll

Amethyst laid back in her sleeping bag, slowly curling into the blankets to go to bed. She wouldn't have enough sleep probably, but she will hopefully have enough energy tomorrow morning for whatever test they had. She felt sorry for the people who will die tomorrow, and she prayed that she wouldn't. She had a home to go back to, after all.

"Good night, everyone." She whispered, blowing out a few candles before finally drifting to sleep.

Yes, sleep. Drift into bliss, little warriors, while the world prepares for your arrival in the dawn. Dream of sheep and love and life, while your universe shapes itself against you in the night. Let the thoughts of monsters loose from your mind, before you need face them in wakefulness. And let the war slip from your shoulders, before you need rejoin the battle tomorrow...

The wind blew hard today, blowing through the treetops and cresting over the cliffs of Beacon. The fallen leaves of the Autumn season were carried up and up into the air, turning the sky red and orange. Ozpin and Goodwitch stood atop a mountain, overlooking the battlefield of their new students. Today would be their initiation.

And they'd be initiated in blood.

Violet yawned as she stood in the meeting place as requested by the instructors. With Shock n Awe on her waist she was ready for what ever the teachers would throw at them. If only they would let them sleep in a little later. Violet sat down on the ground and started to stretch out in hopes of waking her body up, however it just made her more quiet and want to sleep more. Being the first one here, it was quiet, no noise from the other students and no Grant to make her mad with his nonsense. Also there was no word of teams so Violet could relax. She did not like having to rely on others nor did she trust other people to get the job done.

Grant showed up at the initiation start point alongside a small crowd of other initiates. He stood off to the side and prepped. He had a feeling this wouldn't end well. It was like that feeling he had when he stepped off the airship. Only now it was much more immediate, and frightening. He unholstered one of his revolvers. He flicked his wrist to the left, causing the cylander to expose itself for loading. He inserted his six plasma coated rounds. Dust would be better but he was on a budget and this was the best non-dust cartridge on the market.

He flicked his wrist right and the cylander fell back into line with the barrel. He held it up to the rising sun. A glint of light trailed up the bayonet. The gun was in perfect condition. He did the same with his second revolver. After that he stood and waited.

The forest looked big. It looked like the metal pallets on the ground were starting points. He could only assume that they were supposed to run their way through. He thought about how insane it would be if the metal pallets were actually springloaded, and launched the initiates into the forest. He chuckled to himself. That would be ridiculous.

Neon sleepily trudged his way to the initiation start point with chainsaws strapped on his back. Guys who saw her moved to help him because he looked dainty...they then remembered that this freakishly strong 'girl' had been carrying the chainsaws and their containers all day yesterday with ease. Other girls looked at him with envy for attracting the attention of several men. "Good morning Grant." He said sweetly as he placed himself next to him.

He wielded both chainsaws and revved once in order to check their functionality.

Ah, the morning. The female stretched up as she let out a nice and satisfied yawn, getting out of her sleeping bag and rolling it up into a nice ball. Her weapon, Evoke, was still around her ankles like an accessory, so she didn't need to do much to grab them. All she had to do was to change into her battle clothing. It was simply a dark purple robe that could be tossed back like a cape, with golden trimmings and dark purple socks. The robe was pretty long, as it fell down to her feet without her heels on. Once she walked out of the change room, her hair was tied up in a pair of two, low buns and parted to the side evenly, also clipped so that they wouldn't get in the way. Loaded with dust for the initiation, she was all ready. "Alright then, I hope this'll be fun~" She chimed, hopping off to the start point with Evoke reforming themselves into their heels form. The heels weren't too high, as she was able to adjust them if she wanted to so that it would help her walk more easily of course. She was pretty carefree, as she didn't seem far too worried. But she was impressed with other people's weapons. Everyone was holding impressive weapons while, she, was pretty much just wearing her weapon.

Once she had arrived, she thought for a moment, taking Evoke and prompting them to turn into Geminite, the form of two duel blades that shot projectiles using dust. "Loaded here too.. Good!" She chimed, holding, both the blades in her hands. After a brief inspection, she placed them on the ground, and put her feet over them. This caused them to wrap around her legs all nice and snug before the launch. People gave her strange looks, as heels weren't really the best weapon, and some people were skeptical of her weapon, and how well they would function.

Though, some people were just staring at her body, much to her own disdain.

This is what her robe was used for. She wrapped the cape around her body, completely covering her body so that any curious eyes would end up meeting a robe.

Like ants to sugar, the other students started to enter the scene. Vi sighed as her moments of quiet was over. She slowly rose to her feet and watched all the neat weapons everyone was holding. Guns, swords, shields, gauntlets, there was no short supply of uniqueness. The people were no different. Everyone had their own style with armor. Vi snickered as she could care less for armor. It would only slow you down after all. Vi was wearing a tight red vest which only covered her chest, A green cloth, tide around her waist, orange harem pants, black thin boots with red laces. Her left tonfa was red while her right was yellow. Both of which were line with black letters (Right had Shock and Left had Awe). At the end of both weapons was her Symbol in black (A bow aimed diagonally to the upper left with a tonfa instead of an arrow drawn).

She sighed as Grant entered her sight. He did not seem to have noticed her and was reloading his gun. The memories of last night entered her head and caused her face to go red. She turned around, hoping he did not see her cherry face, and moved away from the crowd. However it was not long before her attention was pulled back when the Chainsaw 'girl' appeared, revving her weapon. It was so loud, it was impossible for her not to look. Vi cringed a little, as she imagined being hit with that. It would not be a fun experience. In fact, she imagined it to be deafening.

Finally the girl with the pretty name appeared with her weapon. Judging by the whispers of the crowd, she deducted her weapon to be her heels. It was interesting. Violet smile, as she knew the girl would have some form of hand to hand combat proficiency. Amethyst was standing by herself despite all the attention she was getting. Vi looked around to seem mostly boys staring. It did not take long for her to figure it out and become mad. "They are all perverts..." she mumbled to her self as she cracked her knuckles. She tapped one of the guys on the shoulder, applying a delay charge of impact. She giggled and quietly walked away. After a few seconds, the guy found his self crashing into the crowd of guys.

Vi walked up to Amethyst grabbing her arm. "Hi Amy... Can i call you Amy? Lets get away from these perverts." She turned around and stuck her tongue out of the guys who were just getting up from her prank. Then she turned to Amethyst and smiled why trying to walk her away. "Perverts are horrible!!"

Grant was getting nervous. He didn't show it, nor would he admit it. He had faced grimm before, and he had sorta killed them, with help. But this would be his first real trial. Life or death, fight or flight, this was it.
But look at the bright side. Now was a chance for payback. For all those that were killed in his village only one year ago. Yes, yes the grimm woukd feel his wrath. In the end HE will be the one standing. He stepped onto the metal plate and imagined himself standing victirious on the other side of the forest. He suddenly felt much more confident.
