~Name: Roy Haidar
~Team:~ VPRR
~Race:~ Lion Faunus
~Gender:~ Male
~Height:~ 6'1"
~Weight:~ 180 lbs
~Background:~ Though he certainly doesn't look nor act the part, Roy hails from the bustling industrial capital of Atlas. Formerly parented by a lone mother, Roy spent most of his time in the backstreets and more poverty-stricken areas of the city. With his mother working most of the day in order to support him, he was left primarily to his own devices, and since a great part of Atlas possesses a prejudice towards Faunus, his early childhood began with a dislike for humans firmly implanted in him. Thievery, violence, and though he wouldn't get involved with the matters of the White Fang until later, Roy did find himself seeking comradery in the miniscule Faunus gangs that were hardly the cause of much concern for any aristocrats. Anyone who's word meant something tended to stick to the more "shiny" parts of the capital rather than around the gritty factories.
Soon enough however, Roy was forced to become one of the "productive" members of the Faunus population in Atlas. With the hours growing longer combined with becoming ill, his mother was now unable to work and became dependant rather than a provider for her son. And so Roy took her place in the factories and corporations that worked his mother into a clinic bed. Experiencing first-hand the discrimination and work load the factory managers "high members of society" input onto his kin, his own hatred grew further. It was here that he found whom he would call allies for the years until later in his adolescence; the White Fang. An activist group or so they called themselves. One that did more than simply asked for equality.
At first, Roy didn't accept. However the more he struggled to work for the cash to support his mother and pay for treatments, the more he was exposed to the hostility and the worse his mother's condition grew, the more the "activist group" began to sound appealing. When his mother flatlined and everyone else turned their backs to help, he was fed up. They were held out on, he thought to himself. If she was cared for the same way the Humans were, things might have ended differently, then maybe she would still be here. It was all their fault and if they weren't going to give a damn, he'd make them.
So Roy began his part in the White Fang. Incorporating his combat experience on the streets with actual training from some of the members, he took matters into his own hands. They were being called terrorists and menaces, but to him that was better than the gaze of arrogance that he'd seen so much before. Though he justified himself as fighting for equality, truthfully he was fighting out of rage. He just wanted to hurt them, to put them in their place. But as time went on, the group began to show their true colors. Their targets expanded not only to the aristocrats, the ones at the top of the food chain, but to any who disagreed or didn't believe in the movement—even other Faunus.
It was here that Roy lost faith. To target their own just because they didn't have the same will to fight back, that wasn't his intention. After a volatile argument and a tussle with some of the members, he had left the White Fang with new scars, injures and insecurities regarding his motivations and past prejudices. Surprisingly to him, he was aided by a Human huntsman. When questioned, the man simply replied that Huntsmen were to protect everyone. While skeptical of the man's motivations and reasoning, listening to the man at least gave him a new goal to strive for. Huntsmen were respected, well-sought after and heeded. He still believed in the White Fang's prospect of not asking for equality, but taking it. However he now intended to acquire it through a different means; rising to a position and fame that even the greedy aristocrats in Atlas couldn't ignore.
The Huntsman pointed him towards Beacon. When Roy argued that he'd never get in on account of being a nobody, the man stated that the headmaster always did have a good intuition. Though with disbelief, Roy applied regardless and to his own shock was accepted. The Huntsman's words ringed in his head, but it was more likely that the man passed along word of his fight against the White Fang.
~Personality:~ Outspoken, tenacious and always itching for a fight. Roy is far from reserved and doesn't tend to have an issue with speaking to anyone about anything, whether that's inquiring about something, making a simple comment, flirting or even picking a fight. He tends to state what he thinks upfront so there's no need to question where you're at with him. This tends to put some people off, but truthfully he simply values honesty as opposed to the misunderstandings and other issues that arise from lies and deceit.
Aside from that, Roy appears to value strength greatly, often criticising himself for being too weak when he fails. However, whatever self doubt he acquires quickly vanishes and replaces itself with a more intense drive and dedication towards training. He might even try to pay attention in class for a few hours before inevitably falling back to sleep during lecture.
While overall an easy person to get along with, there are a few that set Roy off rather quickly, namely the spoiled that are a bit too obvious regarding their upbringing and bullies. Having grown up dealing with the selfish brats and greed of Atlas, he grows tired of those who throw their arrogance and wealth around incredibly quickly. As for the bullies, while he possesses a lust for combat Roy finds no pleasure in battling the weak. A fight belongs among two who both hold the will to fight and while he may criticize those who do not possess it, he possesses some sense of honor and believes the pacifists should be left as such.
Weapon: The King's Claws
A highly aggressive dual weapon set. Elbow-length crimson gauntlets with retractable claws, a dust loader and side cannon to make use of the dust. Cannon can be used as an automatic SMG-type weapon, a flamethrower or even a propulsion unit. Can utilize other elements of dust aside from flame, but the usability varies.

~Semblance:~ Eye for an Eye: Roy's aura behaves differently than others. While others' Aura will typically attempt to replenish itself when damaged or depleted, Roy's instead goes toward enhancing his muscles. The aura of others tends to focus on defense whereas his looks to offence. As his own aura is depleted in battle, his attacks grow more powerful. When his aura is depleted, his attacks are incredibly powerful, however he is as well very vulnerable to attacks due to the natural defense that Aura provides. All the same, since a minimal amount of the Aura his body regenerates goes toward recovering said defense, it tends to take him longer to fully recover from wounds or injuries than others.
~Fighting Style:~ A rugged style that to a strictly trained eye would look like berserk flailing. Roy acquired most of his training from the White Fang and the rest from the streets. He incorporates his own style of street fighting with techniques he's learned. Typically going for a frontal attack, Roy seeks to overrun his enemy with brute force, rarely sticking to longer range attacks unless he's got something up his sleeve.
~Why do you want to be a Huntsman/Huntress?:~ "So those bastards back in Atlas can't ever look down on me again. I'll climb up the ladder and change the status quo myself."
