Name: Jun Alexia Han

Nickname/Preferred name: Jun

Age: 16

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Gender: Female

Grade: 11

Tier: 4

Class: Corpiphysical/Mundiphysical.

Abilities:
Electrokinesis - Can manipulate electromagnetism. Allows her to control electricity, sense electromagnetic fields, manipulate electrical signals, etc.
Super Speed - She moves fast. Not much to say here.

Appearance:
normal_gillian_chung_325.jpg

She is 5'4, and fairly light at 110 lbs. She has orangeish highlights on the tips of her hair.

Personality: Cheerful and kind, but both play second fiddle to her prideful nature, if aggravated. More than willing to show off. She tends to be focused and goal-driven to the point of ignoring other things if it'll get her what she wants.

History:
Jun was born to a middle-class family in China, moving over to North America when she was young. She had one brother, but he was a tier 0 like their parents, completely normal. Jun was different. Her powers had developed early and her parents could not deal with their eccentric daughter. They had no experience dealing with such a child. She would fry their electronics, win races effortlessly, and made the TV unwatchable just by getting too close to it. However, she was well-liked at school. Her impressive speed made her popular for gym classes and she tended to be a happy person, given her circumstances. She didn't think her powers were a detriment, in fact, she loved them.

But her parents finally gave up on controlling her in elementary school. Some boy had stolen her lunchbox as a harmless prank and, as a living taser, she touched and shocked him, forcing him to the ER. The event was covered, but she got an earful from her parents about it. They began searching for support, unable to handle their daughter's prideful nature combined with her supernatural powers. Finding RUSH, they enrolled her there for middle school, being declined for elementary school due to her parents' level 0 status.

Being raised at RUSH since middle school, she was more than used to her own powers and the fact that others had powers. Born as a fairly confident person, she worked hard to train her high-level power, managing to become quite adept in its usage.

Other: Managed to stop constantly flowing electricity around her body when she was 9. Tends to hesitate for a second before touching people or electronics out of habit.

First post has been updated and I'll get the IC open tomorrow, but first I'd like opinions on where we should start? Obviously some of the characters will already know each other if they went to middle school at RUSH, like Ava, Jun, and Crow, or if theyre related (Gwen and Jax). Should we start with a new semester and dorm assignments, so everyone can get used to each other before the first plot nudge comes in? please lemme know what you guys think.

I have no problem doing the whole meet and greet with our characters, though I think some people may think the meet and greet process kills an RP. *shrugs*

Like you said, some people already went to middle school together so they already know each other, and again even if some of the characters didn't go to middle school with those who did, most of our characters are in grade 11, so some may already knew a few others from grade 9 and 10. (Provided that they aren't just transferring in at Grade 11 that is)

The only problem I have with starting a new semester and having dorm assignments being roleplayed out is that it's going to end up seeming more like multiple one on ones within each roomed pairs, some people getting 'left behind' (in some way for sure). (Maybe even some people just not liking their roommates and dumping them behind the RP, who knows) Otherwise I do like the idea them kind of mingling before you introduce the first arc/plot.

Maybe instead of assigning people dorm rooms and roommates just send our entire cast to one giant house/dorm building thing? Inside there could be multiple rooms, one for each character? That way we aren't just one on one-ing with particular person all the time, and there's more chances of interaction with multiple people being literally in the same space (does anyone actually just have their character brood on their own in their dorm room?) Just an idea, I'd be happy if anyone else had a few ideas or suggestions though . _ .

i like the group dorm thing, like with separate buildings for each "group" and the building is divided into a hallway for the boys and a hallway for the girls (Jax and Di going to their preferred hallway of course) and then a connected kitchen/dining area and living space. Each student gets their own room with a little mini bathroom for privacy (communal bathrooms are the pits of hell). Since the school is training most of these kids to become "agents", the group thing works out great since each department is a team of mutants that are located in populated areas (p much like police stations but secret and mutanty)

Hell yeah I do.

Just kidding, works for me.

{Face Claim: Tanner Patrick Howe, Youtuber and Musician.}

Name: Colton Jaime Ryker

Nickname/Preferred name: Cult, part of an inside joke due to his abilities.

Age: 17

Sexuality: Heteroflexible - While attracted to females he has no problem with getting into a relationship (or a bed) with a guy.

Gender: Male

Grade: 11

Tier: 3

Class: Corpiphysical/Cerebral

Abilities: Daemon Summoning: Colton can summon demons and demonic entities through the creation of temporal portals. He will normally only summon fairly weak demons as a sacrifice or deal must be made before are directly after summoning a more powerful one. He is limited to summoning either one strong demon or up to three lesser demons. Colton also has only limited control over them, they each have distinct personalities and the stronger they are the less influence he has over them.

Animal Communication: Since some of the demons that he summons take the form of animals (ex. Imps often take the form of cats, foxes, or raccoons.) Colton has been gifted with the ability to communicate with all animals via telepathic link.

Appearance: Colton is an athletically lithe young man with a fairly light skin tone. He stands proudly being a solid six feet tall with short, often spiked auburn hair that tends to tinge a brighter red in the sunlight. His eyes are a bright, ever changing blue green that tend to lose the pupil during a summoning. Colton has a smattering a very light, almost non existent freckles across his high cheekbones along with a single mousy brown beauty mark below his left eye. Due to his fair complexion Colton sunburns easily however the skin around his eyes does not, usually giving him the appearance of wearing white eyeliner. (much to his dismay.)

Personality: Cult is a cheerful if not dorky young man. He lacks a functioning 'Brain-to-mouth filter' and often says the first thing that comes to mind without thinking about the repercussions, much to the annoyance of his friends and family. His demeanor screams happy-go-lucky, however he is actually more serious than he appears. Cult is observant and intelligent, usually noticing things that others do not and using it to his advantage if necessary. Despite this trait, he is also a very clumsy person, flailing about when nervous or frightened.

History: Raised in a very strict Catholic home, Colton was what a mother would call the perfect son. He has respectful to his parents, kind to his little sister Lisa, lacrosse captain and always did his chores. His life was, in one word, average. However, during a small road trip he had taken with his friends and sister, a group of bikers started harassing them. They teenagers tried to ignore it but it eventually led to fight. Colton's best friend Mike wound up getting stabbed in the stomach and his sister was being dragged off by a big man with a sadistic smile on his face when his abilities manifested themselves for the first time. He threw out a hand towards the man with Lisa and a swirling black and white portal appeared. The bikers laughed at the 'Magic' trick before a large, grotesquely deformed animal appeared out of it. It looked like some strange amalgamation of wolf and hyena and with only the thought of something getting the biker away from his sister, the creature lunged and attacked. Needless to say, the hell hound took care of the bikers, accepting that as its sacrifice before returning to its own world. The teens returned home subdued, due to the loss of Mike as he had died of blood loss. As for Colton, when he had tried to explain what happened to his parents, they quickly tossed him out on the street and disowned him for a being a 'Devil worshiping bastard!'

Other: He is scared of his power since he summons demons randomly at times, usually imps or lesser demons. The few demons he summons purposefully have made Contracts with him, meaning that they will serve him for minor sacrifices such as some of his blood or the blood of enemies. He has named or nicknamed his Contracted demons. Colton's birthday is October 31, making his a Scorpio. Colton also keeps in touch with his sister through the use of an Eidolon Demon that usually takes the form of a white dove with black curling markings around the eyes.

accepted! I can see Crow and Cult not liking each other very much due to the similar nature of their 'summoning' abilities and Catholic upbringing

Either they would dislike each other, a rivalry starts or they create the Crow Cult Ship. lol

Is it alright to make another character? Or are we good for now???

also arguments about which one would win in a fight
"Well I'm a tier 5 and can become a ghost so..."
"So? I can summon demons that could kick a ghosts ass!"
"You can't kick a ghost's ass, ghosts are intangible!"

Name: Holly Nicole Mason
Nickname/Preferred name: Holly, Nici
Age: 15 1/2!
Sexuality: Bi-Curious - She still dreams of the perfect man and the white picket fence life, but curiosity about the grass on the other side keeps her right on the edge.
Gender: Female
Grade: 11
Tier: 3
Class: Cerebral (Low)/Mundiphysical (Low)

Abilities:
Mundiphysical
Sonar – The ability to create & manipulate sound and sound waves. Holly can create and modify sound waves to mimic, intensify, hush, and distort, as well as warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, and slow down sound. She can affect music as well as produce it. Create and modify the loudness, pitch, and tone of sounds, even to destructive levels:
 Ballistic Scream, Siren Song/Hypnotic Call
 Sound Absorption/Conversion
 Sound Nullification/Inaudibility
 Voice Manipulation
 Echolocation
 Air Dashing by releasing sound waves as propulsion force.
 Earthquake Generation by releasing sound waves into the ground.
 Sonokinetic Combat – Blast, Combustion, displace weight to alter movement.

Limitations
 Everything that affects normal sound affects this ability as well; this might be overcome with enough training, but she's not there yet. Vacuum or anything that stops sound prevents this power. Plus, due to her little pet, her ears are so overly sensitive to sound, that overusing her own abilities causes seriously debilitating migraines that can knock her out for hours and leave her ears ringing profusely. With training, this can be eliminated.

Cerebral
Xenolinquist – Mutated tongue; forked and shaped like an hour-glass. It gives her the insane ability to speak any language like a native or mimic any sound she hears. She doesn't have the ability to mentally help others understand what language she speaks, if one is unfamiliar with it, but with the assistance of mentalist, she can clearly be understood.

Other - Her continuously developing mutation has also created a very deadly situation for her. Growing ever so slowly around her spinal cord at the base of her skull is a special little pet. More like a tumor actually, but she's not going to claim it as anything unfortunate. It enhances her mental recognition to what she hears, giving her abilities to literally mimic noises, people's speech patterns and accents, animal sounds, perfectly. It's like enhancing her Voice Manipulation and Xenolinquist abilities at the same time.

Unfortunately, this darling little bugger is a demanding creature though, causing her severe headaches at times if it's not fed. She has to maintain a proper diet and remain hydrated at all times to avoid the headaches, drinking high concentrations of electrolytes and other vitamins in order to keep the feisty tumor from eating at her grey matter and sipping on her spinal fluid. Her pet can be removed, but the fear of such a procedure scares her to no end… She's unsure if the removal of the tumor will snatch away her abilities, which she's quite fond of and would hate to lose, let alone turning her into a veggie. It's either living with it, or dying from it – no middle ground for her. One thing is for sure, the more it grows – the stronger she gets - the quicker it'll kill her. Therefore, she's damned all around. (There's probably a way to kill the tumor, but she had no clue as to how.)

Appearance: (Faceclaim – unknown)
A petite 5'5", 135 lbs, with jet black hair, bright turquoise eyes, and fairly pale skin; Holly is a living, breathing Snow White, according to her mother. (And if you call her that, she'll whoop you a good one across the cheek.) Will spend a fortune on spray tanning to avoid such monikers. Always dressed in high 20' fashion, you can tell that she just adores the Golden Age pulp fads, but don't get her confused with a crazed fangirl of the era. Holly does dawn modern attire when she's not feeling as peppy as she normally looks. But regardless of what mood she's in, she seriously knows how to set the atmosphere.

Personality: Very eccentric and charismatic; yet, dramatically topsy when it comes to her moods. Slightly bipolar, you know what sort of day she's having by her attitude and the way she dresses. At times, she's fun-loving and quirky – hence her 20's flair. Other times, she's moody or unemotional – and she dresses to fit with lackluster sheen in her attire; grunge or bohemian comfort absence color – simple to the point of boredom. But when she's feeling demure and sexy, she's not afraid to dress the part.

History:

Helaine (Holly) was born in Nea Makri, near Marathon, Greece. She's the youngest of three, an older sister, Elahnie, and middle brother, Josef. Her father, Anthimo, is a marketing analyst for a major medical manufacturing company, and her mother, Olivia, is an online college instructor of music and art history.

Growing up was a fun task for her, for her and her siblings took everything in life like it was a tale from a beautiful storybook. They made even the dullest task more like a fantasy story of adventure and magic. It's easy to do that growing up with an ocean for a backyard. Even to this day, she swears she's swam with a mermaid around the shallow underwater ruins within the Mediterranean beaches around her home.

A kidnapping incident that happened one summer when she was 10, involving her brother and their strange next door neighbor (a new doctor that moved in several months before), landed them in the hospital for several months. Josef had sustained so much physical and mental damage that he was left in a vegetative state, living under Hospice care at home with his parents. Holly, although physically and mentally distorted due to being caged and tortured for three month, was taken by her sister Elahnie to The States when she moved away for college. She knew her parents had enough on their hands with caring for Josef. She wanted to help by caring for Holly. Still to this day, the things that happened to Holly and Josef are a mystery. Josef can't speak; yet, when mentioning the "the lost house" or "keeping things in the dark" he shows a substantial amount of fear. Holly recovered nicely, but mentally she's slightly unstable - the bipolar issue developed through this incident, and possible other things but she hasn't be diagnosed. She fears doctors and hospitals and has blocked so much of that year out she can't recall being a 10 year old.

Her sister believes that her unknown special talents were developed during that summer - that the doctor was experimenting on them. Reason why her baby sister changed so..drastically. Holly developed this need to protect. Being imprisoned for so long, listening to her brother's cries for help, she screamed so much that she lost her voice several times. But, through whatever the doctor was doing to them, she somehow regained a voice... not her voice, but a Voice; one that soon, over time, became much more than a means of communication. Her voice sung her tortured brother to sleep at times when the nightmares of his days took over. It even calmed the doctor's rage a time or two. Her voice was also the reason why the mailman decided to drop the mail off at the house rather than the street. He heard a sweet calling muse and assumed it was a goddess singing from the beach on the side of the doctor's house. But, when he stepped near, he realized it was coming from the basement...where Holly and Josef have been locked away all that time.

Because she wasn't able to save her brother in time with her calls for help, Holly grew this need to help others - disregarding herself at times. When her sister expressed to their parents what was happening with Holly, they took it as a sign of God that their daughter overcame such horrendous pains to become something more; but they feared her, so much so that they refuse to visit their daughters in America and have told Elahnie to not bring her home. When Josef died, Holly fought Elahnie to return to Greece for his funeral but to keep amends and to protect her sister, Elahnie set it up for her to view the proceedings via video. That wasn't enough for her - Holly disowned her parents and tried to run away at 13. Elahnie stopped her, but before she could, her sister damaged tons of property and caused havoc due to her overly emotional abilities going out of control. Elanie decided right then that Holly needed a different type of help, and through her research she had come across RUSH.

- Has been playing the clarinet and violin most of her life, learning from her father and sister when they lived in Greece.

i'd classify sonic manipulation to that extent as a high powered ability, but she could still be a tier three if you got rid of the mermaid thing. Also the history needs to be filled out

Alright, will definitely make those changes, and it is a Work in Progress, which will be filled out soon. Thanks!
