COLLABORATION BETWEEN
CHITOSE, KAORI, EISUKE > KAORI, EISUKE > CHITOSE, KOZA

@Mr.Scales ⚖ @Quake
As Kaori watched through each of the students go through their own trials, all that was going through his head was why his powers had backfired like that, sure he was tired and that would maybe damper it, but he used his powers for much longer without any issues. I need to work this worked out, even if it takes all night...Or forever. The boy stared at his hands and watched as the blank ink-like color turned to his beige skin tone. Well that's strange, did it go away when I wasn't thinking about it?
Each test caused some type of difficulty for the students, but the ones who got the worst of which happened to be Hidemi and Ramiris, Thankfully Ramiris looked to be okay, but not without worrying the boy. She really went all out, I really hope she's okay. What Kaori didn't know was if Hidemi was going to be okay, he really pushed himself to the limit and looked like it took an emotional toll on him. He was really nice to me, maybe when he's okay I can take a visit to him and thank him.
His eyes scanned through the rest of the students who were ready to leave towards their dorms when he noticed his favorite silver-haired twins. "Chitose! Eisuke! You guys did awesomely! You guys are going to be pros with ease!" The boy's smile lowered as his thought of the injured students was reminded. "I really hope they are okay."
Chitose and Eisuke both looked over to Kaori when he approached them. The twins had been thinking about heading back to their dorms, but when their favorite healer approached, the two of them couldn't help but smile.
"Kaori! You were amazing too! Don't forget about yourself!" Chitose spoke up first.
"Yeah. You'll be a pro in no time." Eisuke added. At the mention of the injured students, he frowned a bit as well. "Yeah, I hope so too." "I wish they didn't push themselves as far as they did."
Chitose's lips compressed a bit in thought. "I'd love to get them a gift or something, but I'm afraid of accidentally offending them. Plus, I have no idea what they'd like."
Kaori blushed immensely with the compliments given from the twins, who he appreciated opinions from the most. "Aw thanks guys! I kinda messed up there in the end, so I got to work on that a little more."
The boy stared at his hands and watched as they flickered from his unknown duel abilities. The boy paused to throw a few ideas around in his head, before one clicked. "Hey, what about like a card and everyone in the class will sign it? It's not much but it's sincere at least right?"
Both Eisuke and Chitose thought about the idea before the brother was the one to speak up first. "It's a good idea, we might not be able to get everyone to sign it on time." He told the others. Eisuke truly did like the idea, but they would only have so much time to hunt everyone down and get them to sign the card.
"I'm sure we'll be fine." Chitose spoke up, smiling. "Why would they decline signing cards for their classmates?"
Both of the twins had good points about the card, he would hope all the students would be eager to sign a card for an injured student, but he barely knew any of them.
"I think at least most of them would sign it, maybe if we can ask everyone when we get the chance?" A bunch of ideas came to his head about a card, but with too many blade puns. "I'm going to head to the dorms to get a card ready, do you guys wanna join me?"
He was already super excited to be close to Eisuke's dorm, but wished he could at least be on the same floor as Chitose, even though he understood why. "We can even try to introduce ourselves to some of the other students!"
Both of the twins nodded in affirmation, "Sure. I haven't had much of a chance to check things out." Eisuke said to the shorter male.
"Yeah, I gotta head to my dorm too. I wanna get out of this uniform and into some comfortable clothes." As she said this, Chitose fidgeted with the collar of her shirt. She wasn't much of a fan of uniforms. The twins gestured Kaori to follow, though it wasn't long before Chitose spoke up again.
"So Kaori, did you make a new friend today?"
"Or a potential wolf girlfriend?" Eisuke added with a playful smile, teasing his friend.
The was close to having a meltdown of embarrassment when they gave the mention of his interaction with Akane "Wha-What!? You mean Akane? She's just a friend and I just met her!" The boy was going to continue with his rant before he realized they were teasing him. "Oh haha very funny! She's really cool though! Plus her ears-"
He stopped himself before they would get even more ammunition of teasing. "Anyhow that was really cool seeing everyone's quirk! I can see why everyone was chosen to the school in the first place." All the students had such a wide variety of quirks and techniques that they shown in the gymnasium, which made him geek out a little bit.
Eisuke and Chitose both enjoyed seeing their friend stutter and blush. They didn't mean to embarrass him so much, but they couldn't help it. Kaori was so fun to tease~ By the time Kaori mentioned Akane's ears, both twins had very wide grins on their faces.
"I have to agree, seeing everyone's amazing quirks was pretty, well, amazing! A lot of specialists and versatility!" Chitose responded and Eisuke followed up.
"Speaking of, that sparking around your hands, did you upgrade your quirk back there? What an amazing time to discover something new." Eisuke smiled at that.
Kaori was a bit confused by his friends statement, from his perspective he only had one ability that short circuited. "Huh? I can only heal things, I mean that I know of." He began losing his attention when given the thought from Eisuke. A second quirk? All i did was heal the vines and... "You mean when my quirk backfired? That was just me overusing it."
"Ahh, sorry it looked like you might have upgraded. My quirk also did a spark around the hands when it developed from zaps to lightning, I thought your quirk might have done the same." Eisuke explained.
Chitose frowned, "Make sure not to overuse your quirk too often, Kaori. Quirks can be pretty harmful or parasitic on the body if they're pushed past the limit." She said to him, looking at him with concerned eyes and putting a hand on his shoulder. Chitose just didn't want something happening to her friend.
Eisuke gave Kaori a lot to think about, he usually only saw his hands turn black when he overused his quirk. "Yeah I'm not really sure now that you say that..." The boy once again zoned out thinking all about his quirk, when he heard Chitose start to talk and lend her hand to his shoulder. "Yeah, sorry. I just kinda wanted to put out a good first impression and didn't even realize that i was overusing it, thanks Chitose." Kaori shined a sincere smile towards his friend.
Chitose smiled back, "Good. We need our favorite healer to be healthy and happy~" She told him and took back her hand as she walked alongside him. Chitose wasn't sure if her heart could handle seeing any of her friends in a hospital bed.
"So what are you guys planning to do now?" Eisuke decided to ask the two.
"I think I'll go to the gym for a bit. I need to do my daily cardio and maybe some strength exercises." She said, then the two of them looked towards Kaori for his answer.
When Kaori first found out he was accepted to the school, he was obviously excited, but there was also some worry into if he was good enough and if he would feel out of place, Chitose and Eisuke are the ones that reassured him that he would be okay and that they would be there to help him.
"Got a paper cut I can help with." The boy joked over his obvious less confidence.
The boy was a bit surprised that Chitose was already eager to let out more steam since she already looked pretty warn out "If I even walk a block I think I might pass out!" Kaori joked and rubbed his hand through his damp hair. "I'm thinking of heading to the dorms, maybe introduce myself to a few others, wanna come Eisuke? I'd probably sit there like a mess talking to them."
Eisuke, now that he thought about it, hadn't really done much to introduce himself to his classmates. His sister had been the one doing the talking. He'd best get his voice out there unless he wanted people to know him only because of Chitose, or be forgotten about entirely. "Sure. It would be better than sitting in my dorm." He answered, inwardly coming up with conversation topics for later. It would also be in Kaori's best interest he be present unless Eisuke wanted his friend to risk embarrassing himself again.
"Great! Make sure to tell me about all the new friends you two make, okay?" She asked the two of them, then looked to Kaori. "Especially you! I have a feeling you'll befriend plenty of people in no time!"
Kaori felt relief rush over him when Eisuke accepted his invitation to join him, after today he did not wanna talk to people he didn't know alone.
"Oh thank goodness, now we can share the embarrassment." The boy chuckled and nudged at his male friend. He was a bit saddened that Chitose couldn't come with them but relieved he still had Eisuke.
"Well make sure you don't fall asleep on the treadmill, It hurts trust me." Kaori thought back to one of his many embarrassing stories. "Ready Eu?"
Chitose, seeing they were getting to her floor, separated from the two with a wave of her hand and a big smile. She would rush off to her dorm so she could get a much needed cleanse and clothes change.
"Let's get going." He gestured the shorter male with his hand. "We got this; most of our classmates seem like good company." Eisuke assured his friend. He just hoped Kaori wouldn't get cold feet last second and leave him.
As the three hit a crossroads, he looked over to Chitose to see his friend giving him a wave goodbye. "See ya later!" Kaori gave an equally wide smile and wave from the other direction.
When he heard the boys voice and followed towards their floor. "A lot of them looked pretty fierce, sure they won't bite our heads off?" The boy chuckled to himself, though felt a bit worried. "But yeah, it should be fine."
Eisuke gave him a pat on the shoulder, "We'll both be fine. You have the lovable face syndrome; I'm sure no one could hate you." He assured half-jokingly. Kaori
did have a face that was difficult to hate. If his friend mastered the puppy eyes, the world would be his oyster.
Usually, Kaori hated how little he appeared to be, even last year he was mistaken as a ten year old by a stranger. "Maybe it'll finally come in handy, puppy dog eyes can be my secret weapon." The boy gave a devilish smirk. "I mean if we even get that close...before they inevitably bite our heads off."
As the two friends got closer to their floor, Kaori got an idea. "So we could go to our floor and talk to our dorm mates, but I was thinking maybe we greet the guys on the fifth floor, since we have lots of time to meet our new neighbors."
The taller chuckled at the idea. He would look forward to the day newspaper headlines spread that a Hero managed to get some Villains arrested using puppy eyes.
Eisuke, hearing his friend's idea, nodded in approval. "That's a great idea. Besides the classroom, we won't really see the fifth-floor boys that often." There was also the Boy's bath they could see them, but Eisuke was damn well certain that no one wanted to make introductions with their dick swinging free. "Let's go see if there's anyone there."
Kaori always appreciated when others complimented him, which also put him at ease with his insecurity. "Yeah exactly what I was thinking, plus we should get to know everyone if we are stuck with them for the next couple of years." What Kaori hoped for when coming to the school was a fresh start and to feel like an equal, which has become quite difficult for him.
The boys continued to climb the stairs until they made it to the fifth floor, Kaori looked at the few dorms on the floor, all looking exactly like each other. "So who should we talk to first?"
Eisuke scanned around the area, seeing their limited options. He saw one familiar face; Koza's rival was it? He knew the guy's name was Eli because of Chitose mentioning him but was he a friend of Koza's? Eisuke couldn't really remember, but there was one way to find out.
"How about the guy who made that entrance and wolf boy?" He suggested to Kaori. Those two guys probably had the strongest quirks in the classroom, and honestly, probably seemed like the best befriending options.
It seemed the twins knew more about the other students than he did, which wasn't surprising with his social anxiety. "That wolf guy was pretty intense, but was totally cool." He took a long gulp before continuing. "Wanna introduce us first? I don't think I'm there yet."
Eisuke smiled understandingly, "Of course." He gives his friend a pat on the shoulder before gesturing him to follow. He would walk up to his classmates and smile politely to them.
"Hey, sorry if I'm interrupting. We just thought it'd be a good idea to properly introduce ourselves to our classmates." He gestured to his friend. "This is Kaori and I'm Eisuke." It was better to tell them directly so there was a better chance at being remembered.

She rushed towards her dorm and picked up some clothing that she felt would be acceptable for the gym and an extra sports bra to further prevent uncomfortable bouncing. She felt hot and dirty after being put under that intense lighting; the sensation of the fabric sticking to her skin just made her all the more uncomfortable.
Chitose took her belongings and walked to shared baths, deciding to save washing her hair for when she was finished in the gym. For now, it would just be to cool down and get the drenched clothing off her body.
Once her quick cleanse was finished, she was dressed, and her dirty clothing was discarded in her room's laundry basket, Chitose started making her way towards the gym.
Chitose was honestly glad that the tests were finally over. After witnessing Hidemi and Ramiris put themselves in the infirmary, she wasn't too sure if she would be able to focus well enough. Were her classmates okay?
Would they be okay after that? Hidemi's screams and Ramiris's roars still echoed within her mind, even sending a chill down her spine.
Perhaps the cards would do them both some good? Would they even like the cards? Ugh... She wished she had a "figure out what everyone liked" quirk that could help her!
Before she could walk too far, she caught a glance of her pink haired friend walking by himself. Deciding to give him some company, she walked in his direction.
"Koza, hello!" She approached him, smiling at him. "Amazing job on your test!"
“Oh Chitose! Thanks!” Koza grinned. “I was pretty great, wasn’t I?” The boy had showered, cleaned up, and had dressed down in a deep blue hoodie, acid washed jeans, and his favorite black beanie. Realizing he was being self centered, Koza smiled sheepishly.“ I saw your exam too! Gotta give you props for being able to hold out that long, over and over again! That takes something special!” For all his flashy moves and over the top attitude, Koza meant every word he said. He knew firsthand how hard it was to control and master their quirks. It was a struggle and path every single one of the students was traveling down. They were all simply at different points in their journey.
“Hey so listen! I’m actually heading to the cafeteria right now, since I sorta accidentally ate all my snacks I bought this morning. That, annnnnnd..I’m also out of coffee.” Koza held up his empty thermos, tapping it gently to show it was empty. “Want to come with? I’m sure they’ve got something you’d like as well. We can catch up on the way over!”
Chitose, hearing the other compliment her abilities, smiled in gratitude. Though she knew she could have done better. Sure she could be a cloud for about half an hour, but so what? Eisuke finished his test in 10 seconds; that would be the same as him staying a cloud for at least 2 hours compared to her!
Regardless, she was truly happy her friend thought she did well, even if she didn't share it.
"Aw, thanks! I just wish that Pro gave me more than just "turn to a cloud." I can do more than that!" She complained.
At the mention of getting food, her smile widened. She had already gotten to her dorm and gotten a much-needed cleanse. Chitose had chosen to dress in a baggy shirt and sweatpants, her cell phone and music player in her pockets. Since it was the first day, she didn't want people to get the wrong idea from the usual shirts she wore.
"Sure! Heh, how am I not surprised you ran out of everything?" She asked him.
Chitose gestured Koza to come along so they could get going. She would walk beside him, hands in front of her and a cheery smile on her face. Since they were going to be seen by a group of people, she'd have to pretend perfection again.
"I'm sorry we haven't been hanging out, my friend. My brother and I were so busy preparing ourselves for UA's entrance exam that we didn't have much time for anything else." She apologized.
"Its fine," Koza replied, as the pair turned and headed down the halls. "Honestly, this summer was really busy for me as well. I took up a job bagging groceries to help out at home, and any spare time I had left was spent doing my own training. In the end I'm just glad we got put together in the same class. Even ol' Eli ended up with us. Imagine the odds of that happening."
As they walked, Koza noticed his friend's mannerisms and the way she carried herself were a bit different than earlier.
Ah, of course. People. Impressions. Keeping up appearances. He let out a sigh and smiled at her, almost sadly.
"Well, I guess no matter how much we grow and develop, some things never change."
She listened to him intently, mentally taking notes for potential topics that she could bring up later. Chitose hadn't expected him to take up grocery bagging; in truth, she thought he would want to work at a cafe selling coffee beans or something. Then again, it may be for the best he be at the grocer. He might've ended up getting fired for drinking all of the customer's orders before they reached the counter; the mental image made her giggle a bit.
"Mhm, you're hardly any different the last I saw you. I
am pretty surprised Eli got into our class too. Not because I think he is incapable or anything, it's just there are a lot of other classrooms he could have been assigned, but he got the one with you. Not to mention I got the class with my two best friends and my brother... This is either a rare coincidence or intentional by UA's staff." She told him. What were the chances that she'd be in the same class as her brother and most of the people she remembered from her childhood? It almost felt like a reunion!
"Speaking of Eli, are you two still rivals?" She asked him. They seemed pretty friendly when she walked into class that morning; had they stopped or were they just on friendlier terms?
"Rivals? Hm, I'd say we're more friendly competition. At least for now. We're competed so much over the past couple years, but I really didn't see him much over the summer either. In fact, I don't think I saw him at all. But you know me, I'm always one to poke fun, so I imagine that's probably what you saw when you came in this morning."
Koza took a step forwards in front of Chitose to open the Cafeteria's large double doors, escorting her inside with the playful bow and a boyish grin on his face.
"M'lady. After you."
She gave a small 'oh' as Koza explained the current standing of his and Eli's rivalry. A friendly competition did sound a lot better than two individuals at each other's throats to try and best the other person. It would also explain what she saw that morning, and since Eli didn't seem annoyed, she could assume the two of them were on good terms~
As Koza opened the door for her, she couldn't help but grin back. She curtsied at him, her hands going to her sides as if to hold up the ends of a dress.
"Why thank you, good sir~" She said, giggling at the silly antics. Chitose was aware that doing so would seem a little strange, but it was obvious she was just playing along with her friend so her "Perfect" persona could get away with it.
The cafeteria itself seemed relatively busy with different students of all kinds. Chitose, after she entered the room, scanned around in search for an empty table.
"Oh, there's a table over there." Chitose informed her friend after a few seconds of looking, "Let's get some food before someone takes it!"
'Right! Well no time to waste! I'm starving!" Koza hopped in line, motioning for Chitose to follow. As they moved through the line getting their different dishes, the young boy did his best to maintain small talk while he loaded up his plate.
"Say, have you thought of a hero name for yourself?" Koza asked as he helped himself to a large serving of rice. "I've been thinking i'll call myself Mr. Quick! Or Tempo!" He smiled excitedly, imagining the masses one day cheering on his name.
She followed him, every now and then saying "excuse me" to the people she accidentally bumped into. Once the two had arrived, Chitose grabbed her own plate and piled some food up for herself, particularly some pork cutlets. She had plans to workout later so she could eat a little extra right now.
"Ooo, those are pretty good! For me, I haven't thought about it much." She pondered the thought, "I did think about "Foggy," or "Misty," or "Mistery" with "mist" instead of "m-y-s-t," but I don't know yet. I must think on it some more."
Chitose didn't really think any of those were things she'd would want to keep hearing for years to come. Sure she could rebrand herself, but she wouldn't want to confuse people in the future by having 50 different aliases.
"Well it seems we have time. I can't imagine we'll get anything too permanent now, at least not until we've learned some more and done some actual hero work."
Sifting through the people, Koza lead Chitose to their table and took a seat.
"So our class is pretty....interesting, wouldn't you say?" he asked, beginning to chow down on his meal.
Chitose followed him, weaving through the crowd and almost getting lost a few times due to how short and unnoticeable she was. Koza's choice of fashion was one of the things that made her happy when she was in a public place with him; he was so easy to spot.
She put her plate down in front of her chair and took a seat.
"Absolutely! Everyone's quirks are so amazing too! I'm kind of intimidated by them, and I haven't even seen them spar with someone yet." Chitose pondered the tests again with a big smile. She could easily imagine everyone becoming a Pro. "Who did you think has the best quirk in the class? Besides yourself." She added the last part playfully.
Koza scratched his chin, thinking back to some of the tests they'd seen earlier. There were so many students with so many different abilities. Although one did stand out to him.
"If I had to guess, I'd say it was the dark haired girl..What was her name? Tagato? Takago? Takagi? Something like that. I mean, did you see the way she used her hair in both defensive and offensive styles? It was pretty cool! I imagine versatility is really important when it comes to being a good hero." The boy took a sip of his coffee, accidentally burning his tongue. "Ow! Hot!" An embarrassed smile crossed his face, and he gently blew on his coffee in silence.
"I mean, what do you think?"
She bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself from laughing, though her smile was still present. "When will you listen? Hehe~" Chitose had told him many times already to blow on his coffee before he drank; at this point any little burn was self-deserved.
"Right, right. Takagi I believe," Chitose remembered her test, "Yes, her ability is quite versatile! I'm sure she could also use her hair to travel great distances if she had that much control!" She imagined Takagi could use it to swing herself, catch the next object, then swing again. Kind of like a superhero from one of the comics she's read.
"Versatility is very important in a hero, yes. Sure you can be super amazing in one thing, but it leaves glaring weaknesses in everything else; something a villain can (and will) take advantage of."
She took another bite of her food, chewing as she pondered her next thought, then swallowed.
"For now, I think Takagi has a clear advantage over many of us, but I believe there's one person who could beat her. Eisuke. Now, I'm not saying that because he's my brother. The reason I say that is because if she tried to restrain him, she just creates a line between herself and my brother which he could shock her through. If she tries to fight him hand-to-hand, he only needs to touch her to administer a controlled shock... Now that I think about it, I'd like to see them spar one day! How would Takagi handle a fight when someone can counter her quirk? That would be interesting~"
Chitose clenched her teeth a bit, some jealousy arising despite giving her friend a smile. Her brother's versatility could very much take down a good chunk of the class, assuming he could land the shock.
Koza's smile disappeared at the mention of Eisuke. The brothers quirk was great like Chitose said, but the Koza wasn't really sure what to say about him. They hadn't spoken in a long time, and interaction they had was just wierd.
"Um yeah. I guess his quirk is really...something."
The boy looked away and continued to eat in silence, purposely avoiding Chitose's gaze.
Chitose noticed the other male immediately close himself off, making her remember.
'Oh shoot that's right...' She inwardly sighed. Chitose kept forgetting Eisuke was such a sore topic, and honestly, she hated that he was. His and Koza's fight was so long ago and she couldn't understand why it was still such a big deal, but nonetheless, she would change the subject to keep this from becoming awkward.
She just wished things could be like the good old days.
"Sorry about that," She apologized first then asked, "Hey Koza? You know those two students that passed out? Hidemi and, uhh...blood girl? Rina, Tina, Tami, whatever. Kaori wants to get a card and have it signed by the class as a "get well soon" kind of thing. Do you think we should add more to it? Like a gift they can eat or use?" It was genuinely a question she had on her mind, because while Tami (or was or Rami) could probably do with a steak or something, Hidemi was more of an issue.
"Get her coffee," Koza joked, his face lighting up again. "Everyone likes coffee. Well, not everyone. But most!" Koza was almost finished with his meal, so he quickly poured the remainder of his coffee into his thermos, topping it off for the rest of the day.
"Honestly, I don't really know what they'd like, but I'm sure they'd appreciate the gesture, whatever the gift might be."
Chitose grinned, happy to see her friend become happy again. Coffee could work if the individuals were as avid coffee drinkers as her friend, but there was no guarantee that they'd like coffee at all.
She was almost finished with her own meal and felt quite stuffed. She couldn't wait to work out, "Hmm... Booo, getting gifts for people I hardly know stinks." Chitose hmphed, believing Kaori's card idea may be the best bet. "Hey, did you ever see if there was a gym here?"
"I think there's one down that hall over there," Koza replied. "I haven't seen it for myself however." Checking his watch, Koza smiled.
"Well, would you look at that. Now that I'm full I'm gonna go take a nap. Enjoy your workout, and I'll see you later, alright?" Koza piled his dishes and utensils onto his tray, getting ready to leave.
Chitose piled her own dishes up and stood up, collecting her garbage to get ready to leave as well. "Yeah, of course! Sleep well, oh and it was great to see you again!" She told him, giving him a head nod of "see you later" since her hands were full.
After their goodbyes, she would toss away the disposables and start heading to the gym. She needed to get stronger and faster if she wanted to stay in tip-top shape and ahead of the game!
