Name: Delilah Mason
Age: 32

Appearance: On a day to day basis, when not in meetings with various big wigs Delilah loves to shock and horrify the more uptight at her school by wearing a comfortable pair of jeans and a tank top. She keeps her long hair in a braid or pony tail and wears little jewelry. The one consistent piece of jewelry is a locket, containing a picture of her twin brother.
Personality: Delilah is very sweet, cheerful and down to earth most of the time. She loves walking around campus and interacting with the students, leaving her work to the poor vice principal. She also makes a point to plan and be involved in a lot of the events on campus. There are stories from some of the staff and older students that she is absolutely terrifying when she switches to business mode but it's so rarely seen that most students think it's just a lie. The only time she does drop the cheerful mood is when someone asks her about her locket, and then she seems a bit sad and after a few words usually tries to redirect the subject.
History: Delilah and her brother were specially recruited to the university fresh out of high school. They thought it was because of their superior grades, but quickly learned that they also had great potential in magic as well. They both fought in the last great break through by the demons, during which her brother died. After getting her degree Delilah joined the staff at the school and jumped her way up to principle when the previous principle died mysteriously (of demon attack).

Magical Skills/Abilities: Delilah's main ability is to summon 'figures' to fight for her. They come in 3 different type's: melee, ranged, and explosive, though any can be made to explode. She also is often seen summoning and making great use of a magical glaive. When in desperate need, she calls a special 'figure' though no one alive has seen it.

Personality: Renee is a bit withdrawn and doesn't really talk to her peers. She is a dedicated worker though and is attentive in her classes. She enjoys writing music though she never lets anyone else hear it
History: Renee is actually an American that transferred to the academy. She became a magical girl at the age of 17 and joined a couple others in the near-by area to hunt demons. She left the US because the neighboring magical girls were a bit freaked out by her powers and she had heard rumors about the academy. She has not told the staff that she is an experienced Magical girl and has turned down their offers to 'train' her.

Alternate Appearance: Renee transforms with a short black frilly dress with no sleeves and high neck with a diamond cut out over her stomach. She has knee high stiletto boots and red gem drops at her neck, earrings, either side of her headband, wrists (on cloth bracelet's), one ring and at the ankles on her boots. There is a small ritualistic looking dagger hung off her belt on the side that is ornately carved and has grooves running down the blade into the carvings.

Rarely seen anywhere on the grounds outside of a suit, crisply pressed shirt, and necktie. If there are important people to have meetings with, he increases the formality. More than one person has seen him walking out of some patch of trouble with his outfit rumpled or torn; inevitably, it's gone later, as if it never happened. The casual clothes in the image are the sort of thing he's only seen when he's off duty and away from the school. He's quite tall and has a broad-shouldered build, making it easy to spot him in a crowd; despite his position as an administrator, he also looks to be fit and in very good health.

Personality: Some would say he's a stick in the mud who gets enjoyment from spoiling the innocent fun of college students. In truth...they're not entirely wrong. While he doesn't enjoy having to stand in the way of other people's entertainment, he would rather see everyone go home safe than to hold back and have someone else's trip to the hospital be the price of his inaction. He is very serious when it comes to all aspects of his job, and strives to be a person who's reliability and determination are never in question. At the same time, he's not lacking in empathy; he tends to take on even more work if it means someone else has less of a burden. He knows quite well that the principal is shunting most of the annoying work over to him as a result, but he doesn't seem to mind, even says he works better late at night anyway. There's a rumor that he secretly lives somewhere within the school, probably because he's the first one there and the last one to go home every day. Another rumor states that he spends his free time gardening and reading, but nobody has any proof of that one either.

History: The family Felderin has been associated with Regis University for at least the past four generations, possibly longer. Nathaniel wasn't the only person from his generation to be recruited; a cousin of his who works on the local police force now was once a student too, along with a few others of varying backgrounds. Having joined the school during the previous demon outbreak forced him to learn quickly. Once he got his degree and some outside experience, he soon returned to Regis and worked his way to his current spot. He's the first one in his family to be so highly ranked, yet he shows no interest in taking the principal's desk as his own.

Other Traits: Once upon a time, long long ago, Nathaniel was engaged. Anyone who was a student at Regis University at the time knows the story of what happened to his fiance, but it's not something students would know - and any hints towards it are better mentioned where he can't hear.

Magical Skills/Abilities: He has free manipulation over temperature, allowing him to set things alight or chill them to the freezing point. It sometimes does manifest as thrown firebolts and flung shards of ice, but he isn't limited to flashy techniques. His signature weapon is a lance, used both as a piercing weapon when in his hands and as a projectile, thrown javelin-style. When using it, he's more likely to access his ability for defensive purposes, trusting in his weapon's power for attacks.

Terry usually has her hair up in a severe bun while at work. She is usually wearing some kind of dress shirt/skirt or suit though she does take advantage of the color variety available to make herself look a little less severe, especially when she is out on recruiting trips. She is very fond of wearing pastels, especially in yellow and orange range.
Personality: She just got into the position and is feeling the weight of being the person to go out and find new students and testing them. She is driven but comes across as more wild and goofy because that's how she deals with the stress. She feels like she has the biggest responsibility on campus and is often found crying on the shoulder of Nathaniel when it gets to be too much.
History: Terry grew up in Regis and had a fairly normal life. She was completely unaware of anything magical until she went to Regis University and much to her surprise was determined to have strong potential. She was reluctant to join RHAS until the president at the time brought her in to see the aftermath of a battle. The sight of the injured magical girls being bandaged up and the sudden realization that these monsters could attack any of her loved ones in the town spurred her to join RHAS. She remained at the university afterwards, still just as determined to protect the people of Regis.
Other Traits: She is a super fangirl of and may or may not have a shrine to someone in the university. There are quite a few bets about who it might be, vacillating between the principal/vice principal and a few other attractive members of the staff.

Name: Rebecca Anderson

Personality: Outgoing and friendly, Becca's the type who will happily lend someone notes or chat while waiting in line for food. Few would guess that she has any secrets at all - just a very active social life that causes a lot of sudden departures for 'meetings' and the like. This is because she tries to keep her 'normal' life separate from everything else, largely so she can keep enjoying normality for as long as possible. When placed in stressful situations, she has a habit of turning to the same circle of people that she feels comfortable venting to, instead of confiding in the people around her. This is mostly due to how she was raised. In truth she really doesn't like the idea of fighting demons and monsters; she would vastly prefer to focus on her degree and having fun. But she knows too much about the risks to leave her friends and family without protection - and who else is going to make those people their first priority, if not her? Secretly she hopes nothing will happen until after her siblings graduate...then maybe they'll all be safe.

History: Rebecca is the second child of three, being the only girl of the trio. Her family has a history with Regis University already. It's where her parents met, and various relatives on both sides have been RHAS members. It was a foregone conclusion that she would go there, and all three Anderson children were raised accordingly. Her brother, who's two years older than her, got accepted without a hitch...so it came as a shock when he didn't pass the test to get into RHAS. Becca couldn't have avoided the testing if she tried, not after that, but she passed with flying colors. She's worried about her brother's safety and wishes he would change schools or something; at the same time, she's relieved to have him around, because he at least understands the mess she's in. Yet besides the parental pressuring, they're a close family. Her upbringing was normal, just with a few additions and oddities...at least that's how she sees it.

Other Traits: While she seems happy and carefree, she's very observant. Faces, names, and voices are things she remembers very easily. Her brother Richard could be considered her best friend on campus and biggest annoyance at the same time; he watches out for her and tends to be a good network source/informant, but can also pop up at odd times to pester her about all sorts of things.

He counts as someone aware of, but not in, RHAS. The plan right now is for him to be an NPC that shows up sometimes, but if he starts making lots of appearances I'll make a full sheet.

Magical Skills/Abilities: In her transformed appearance, she has the ability to control a suit of "intelligent armor". It can change its form based on her needs, and improves her reflexes, reaction time, and physical capabilities to a small degree. The changes she can make and the amount it can protect/boost her will probably increase with experience and time. She's rather reliant on it currently; while she's been trained since childhood in how to fight against demons, she still lacks the edge that an experienced opponent would have. She also has a minor ability to shape metal, which allows her to change the type of sword she's using on the fly.

Name: Robin Hamilton
Age: 21

Personality: Energetic, social, and always willing to take a risk for the sake of what he wants, Robin is a person that has a wide social circle and a fair number of enemies. Part of the problem - if one would call it that - is a habit of being nosy and prone to gossip. It isn't that he's unable to keep a secret, it's that he enjoys the flow and trade of information. If he's learned about something interesting and can share that information to get an answer to one of his countless questions, well...people shouldn't talk about private matters where someone else can hear! In turn, he has very few secrets of his own, being an open person who tries to take nothing in life too seriously. Perhaps the only thing that he's dedicated to is 'revealing the truth' to others. While he says a lot of things that people find hard to believe, even the most tabloid-like story is never a total lie...maybe there's a few embellishments to grab people's attentions, but that's all. He actually gets offended if accused of lying. Robin can also be a daredevil sometimes; when interested in something, discovering all the details can trump many other concerns, personal safety included.
History: Regis University...it's a famous place, one that casts a long shadow. He grew up in a town within that shadow - not within the city that's grown up around the school, but one about a few hours away. Still, it was the most convenient place for shopping and other things, resulting in his family going there often while he and his sister were growing up. Their family life was normal, though there was a long-standing rivalry between himself and his twin; it always seemed like she was viewed as the good one and he was the rebel, despite his schoolwork getting graded higher than hers. It wasn't until high school that things changed, but when they did, it was an abrupt shift. She started staying out late, obviously hiding things, and so on. By then he was already interested in the strange, unusual, and creepy - from the normal and mundane to haunted places and tales of aliens - so he couldn't help but try and find out what she was up to. Before he got to the bottom of it, though, something happened...she disappeared mysteriously, leaving behind no real signs and nothing but a story that didn't make sense. His parents were devastated. After the grieving period he found that his frustration and curiosity were stronger than the sorrow. He wanted to learn more, but there were no clues, and eventually he set that search on the back burner. In looking for info, he had discovered some interesting things about Regis that he couldn't ignore...so he applied, joined the school's journalism club, and has been using it as a way to meet people and do his 'research' in free time. Not that he's absorbed in his search - it's college and he's been having plenty of fun along the way - but he has yet to believe that the school's totally normal.
Other Traits: Sometimes people think he's a girl from a distance due to having long hair. He'll admit that he's not, but only if someone asks outright. If they wanted to know, they would just ask, right? (And if they never talk to him, it's their own loss anyway!)

Personality: Anna is very sweet and enthusiastic. She has a strong sense of aesthetics and makes most of her own clothes. She strives to be unique, like most artists, and thus chose to go to this more unusual less prestigious university.
History: Anna grew up with her relatively normal family on the outskirts of northern London. She was the only child and was encouraged to follow whatever interested her, which lead her to have an interesting collection of skills and interests. She mostly focused on art of all kinds. She has been making her own clothes, purses, jewelry and other similar items since she was around 10. When she graduated from high school and started looking for a university she was drawn to the mystique around Regis, along with the great aesthetics, and knew that was where she wanted to go. Since arriving at the school she's been mostly oblivious to any oddities, despite getting quite close to a certain magical art teacher.
Other Traits: Anna is a bit of a computer technician, if she was so inclined she could probably be a pretty good hacker.

Personality: Laine is a driven, no nonsense individual who can most often be found training. She has a sharp tongue and sharp seems to be the only setting on her sense of humor, usually directed at her rival. If she isn't throwing some sharp words around she is mostly silent, just watching the world. She takes her responsibility a little too seriously and it is often remarked by other RHAS members that she needs to chill out once and a while. Her dedication has led her to often be put in charge of groups of her peers when on patrol or sent to deal with demon attacks though.
History: Laine is the only child of the Helling Legacy family, who has been sending magical children to Regis for as long as anyone has been passing down stories in the family. Since she was the only child a lot of pressure was put on her from a very young age and even though she was not confirmed magical until much later in life her parents dedicated almost all of her free time to training her in martial arts. She was taught discipline at a young age and it served her well. She excelled in her training and schooling and anything else she wedged into her schedule. Once she entered Regis and was confirmed magical she seemed to become even more determined, especially once her rival was confirmed as well.
Other Traits: One of those rare other things Laine is really good at is cooking. On those nights when she isn't out on patrol you can find her rocking out in her tiny apartment whisking up some masterpiece. The leftovers are usual set out for the hoard of animals that congregate at the sound of her music.
Magical Skills/Abilities: Laine is all about sharp pointy things. She has an infinite supply of magical throwing daggers and dancing swords and she herself dances with whatever weapon she happens to be using that day. A few members of RHAS have taken to finding exotic weapons and challenging her to use them the next time she fights.
Alternate Appearance: Laine transforms into a black full body suit with fur lining the wrists and ankles. She retains her hat and there is silver embroidery focused around her torso but also trailing down her legs and arms.

Personality: Soft-spoken around most people, particularly large groups, but energetic and warm when it comes to her favorite subject and her students. It's not uncommon for her to spend her own time and money to encourage a student when she can. She keeps an 'open door' policy with everyone, though, and is known to be good at keeping secrets. It takes a lot to make her lose her temper or patience with someone...unless they're treating others poorly or otherwise being a bully. A cool head in a crisis who focuses on helping others, sometimes to the point where she has to be reminded to keep herself safe. She's the type who gives off an impression of liking everyone, even the people she really can't stand, because she's good at being civil and giving everyone in a group a base level of consideration.
History: As she tells it, she wanted to go to Regis University even as a little girl who lived nearly on the opposite side of the country. Her family had no chance at paying the tuition, though, so she worked hard in school and managed to get in on a scholarship. At the time she didn't show any magical talent, so she went through her days there as a normal student with no idea what was happening out of sight. While her degree was in teaching and she was qualified to cover literature and writing, her passion had always been art. It took a while for her to get a position at a school doing what she loved...and at her beloved alma mater, no less! She didn't understand why there was a sudden opening until much later - namely, not until a monster broke through the doors separating her classroom from the connected storage room. She survived the encounter and it was found that she had a magical ability after all, despite the fact that she completely failed the tests when she was a student. That was a year ago, and she still feels a bit 'new' among that group of teachers and students, but does her best to support everyone.
Other Traits: Though active in the community, it's rare to see her anywhere near the dating scene, and her love life's a bit of a mystery. She's well-known on campus due to being on-call in one of the dorms. Besides her favorite pastime (painting) she's also a solid swimmer and is good at working with her hands.
Magical Skills/Abilities: She's able to create almost anything as long as she has writing material. This can be ink, paint, pencil, even crayon. Once she channels energy into it, the created image becomes manifest; if it's an object, she or someone else can use it. If it's a thing that would be able to move around, it stands up and becomes active, following her directions (including silent ones, but she has to actively focus on that). Even things like landscapes can be made and are experienced as if they were real to those who enter. She can also control liquids to a degree, but her abilities there are more defensive or supportive. Her signature item is a paintbrush that she can manipulate the size/number of.

Personality: The type who knows what she wants and likes to get it, Emily can be driven and determined...when she wants to be. If she isn't interested in something, she can sometimes be laid-back to the point of seeming dismissive, even when it's an important matter for someone else. A competitve person who hates to lose and works twice as hard when challenged than when she gets her way easily. She's quite fun-loving in spite of this, though, and throws her energy into partying just as much as she launches herself into work that she wants to do. Around others, even authority figures, she's casual and cool-headed, more likely to laugh off an insult than anything, but she does have a bad habit of bragging.
History: While she is a legacy student, the Byers family is a recent addition to that list, in the grand history of Regis University. She's the third generation to develop magical ability and go to the school, and of those she's the first female. Most people would instead recognize her family's name from the business world. Emily's parents are people with money and connections - longer-standing in the mundane world, but growing in the magical world as well. She's used to having the finer things in life avaliable when she wants them, where it's her choice to use them or not. As a child she was taught everything from the proper way to dress for an event to the correct way to throw a punch and use various weapons. She and her siblings all learned about magic only when they turned 13; she's the oldest and the first to go to Regis as a result, but her younger brother has a strong talent too.
Other Traits: Some of Emily's achivement-driven energy has been focused into competitive gaming, one of her favorite hobbies since junior high, though her titles of choice have shifted over the years. As a result, most people who are used to only seeing her out in classes or other events - where she's dressed in fashionable clothes - would be surprised to know she can spend an entire day in her pajamas, glued to a screen. It's not something she boasts about around most people, though, as to keep people from thinking she's some no-life gamer. She keeps balance by exersizing and socialising just as much...which leaves the question of when she sleeps, these days...
Magical Skills/Abilities: Her abilities are focused around manipulation of wind, allowing her to perform acrobatic moves on the ground or in the air, along with extended flight and protection from lengthy falls. It can also be used offensively or for defense; it's pretty hard for an enemy to do much of anything when getting a blast of tornado-strength wind to the face. Most of her direct attacking is done with a metal staff that matches her color scheme.

Huzzah! I am looking at putting together the 'nurse' and then I think I'll be done with my characters. Might take me a bit with this old clunky computer but hopefully not too long. I'll try and sketch up the opening as well. Or at least my idea for what characters I want to use...we'll probably need to be coordinating a lot on that first post before we can spit it out lol

Unless we plan on scrambling to get everyone into situations where they could interact, planning definitely sounds like a good idea. I'm good for opening post planning at this point; I may make more characters further down the road, but I want to wait and see how well I can juggle my current bunch.

Since we're starting mid-year (if I recall right?) we could easily have people encounter each other by chance, from their point of view...or something could happen worthy of an RHAS meeting, if we want to throw a bunch of them into one room at the same time.

Hmm a RHAS meeting could be a good possibility. I could see a possibility of Robin and Renee running into each other while both checking it out. Or Anna could even stumble upon him and be all 'WTF are you doing?"

That could work well, then! Robin's certainly not against having a second pair of eyes to help with investigating any strange events...though good luck convincing him that eavesdropping should be avoided. (Of course they want to keep it a secret! If there was known dangerous activity, it would be bad press for something like that to have been covered up! ...if only he knew the truth of it. :D ) The meeting could always split into groups after that, with some people going to train, others going to check for any disturbances around campus, others having classes or work to attend to. So we wouldn't have to have the full group gathered for too long unless we wanted to.

Hmm, I don't have a particular preference, so it can be whoever gets an opener finished first? (Though, I was wondering who would have probably called the meeting, unless it's a regular event that happens every so often...)

I would imagine it would be the principle. It may be a regular meeting about patrols or something though?

That makes sense to me. Probably a standard update on what's been seen and heard around the campus, along with schedules of who's patrolling areas in the upcoming weeks or any other concerns that come up? Since it's a matter that affects the whole school, it could easily be mandatory - or at least "don't skip without reason, unless you want to get in trouble once you're caught."

Okay, sorry for the massive delay! It only took me about forever, but I finally got an opening done.
(Even after editing, it's two pages...for one character... ^^; Which is exactly why I've decided to split it into multiple posts at least.)

So, now I have a question. Where/how are we planning to post this? In focusing on the writing bit, I forgot to ask.

As for posting, I would assume we are using the onexone forum, as that is where I put the OOC. I'm not sure what you're looking for as to 'how' though.

Oh yeah, that makes sense... (minor 'duh' moment there, don't mind me~) As for the "how" part, I probably should've clarified - do you want to go back and forth with character intros, or introduce everyone back to back and then start with interactions? For example, intro one character each and have them meet up, then gradually bring in more of them shortly after? I'm mostly wondering how best to break up what I ended up writing.
