Ravewicked

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Zeke's back bashed against the concrete wall as he fell to his knees and spit blood out of his mouth. " son of a WHA!!" he hadn't tiem to finish his thought before he was grabbed byt he shoudlers and flung across the alley into a pile of trash.

three years Zekey boy. three years i watch out for your ass and THSI is how you repay me.. stiffin' me my monthly payment? shame on you... boris, flog him again." the manhattan accent of the short man with the bigh cigar echoed in the assasins ears as he yowled again, this tiem tossed agaisnt a trashcan JUST the right height to hit his jewels square on.

"nnnjesus, tony....*cough*... It's only a week late, i ALWAYS pay up, you know that..aaaaagh..." he wheezed, layign against the trash can trying to catch his breath.

"Your a lazy bum chasin a stupid dream zeke." the man said, flinging a hundred dollars at him and starting to walk away." Here's ya change.. next time bring me soem fucking smaller bills so's i don't have to toss yaz cash... you know i hate throwing away money." he said spitefully as he walked back intot eh laundromat.

"ASSHOLE!" heyelled, tossign a beer bottle at the closed door as eh gathered himself up and walked off. he got the text minutes later.

"Hmm.. things are looking up...*groan*.. looking down." he sighed, mounting his bike and speedign off.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

With a cheap cup of coffee and a donut in hand, Kaera let herself in to her motel room. With all of her running around during the day, she hadn't even thought to grab something to eat. It was a vital necessity for planning out what she was going to need to upgrade and purchase for the Band's big debut in a large casino. And none of the guys had texted her back yet, which almost had her worrying until she finally got a message asking if she could bring them cash for something called purple haze. Kaera promptly responded with a NO and a Behave! before she dropped in to a seat by the table to start writing up her list.

Her mind wandered for a bit, last night coming to mind. The entire thing was playing out in head like a creepy horror movie now. Which was a lot better than how she felt before. At least it felt less real and more like a weird dream. As long as nothing like that ever happened again, she'd be able to deal with it and keep her focus on the band. Her opinions on Ezekiel though... that was a different matter all together. She didn't know what to think of him now...

The phone rang. She picked it up. "Kaera Matshida speaking!" Silence. "...Hello?" More silence.

With an annoyed huff she hung up and dropped the phone back on the table. Where was she? Her list!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

There was the telltale sound of Ezekiels motorcycle outside her room and less thana minute later, He knocked three times on the door, said her name, and opened te door, steppign in. He had bandaging on his cheek and a butterfly stitch above his eye.

"You look liek you been a busy bee, Matshida." he said, stretchign hsi back. the loud thump of several vertebrate crackign in his back issued throguh his leather jacket.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera looked up quickly, ready to complain about him just walking in (though now she realized she should start locking her door!), but at the sight of his face she dropped her pencil and gasped.

"What's wrong with your face..!" Cuts and scratches... she was sure he popped a few bones in his back too! "There's blood on your clothes..."

Immediately Kaera was out of her chair, crossing the floor to the bathroom. The sound of her muttering under her breath could be heard along with running water. She finally returned with a small damp towel in her hands. Kaera fussed at him until she had him backing towards a chair. Her fingers latching on to an area of his coat to lift up and furiously rub the towel over.

"I thought you were supposed to be mister amazing assassin, what did you do to yourself." She grumbled again.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"I don't need to show off. being mellow lets me lay low, just AGH... careful, Kae." he fliched, sitting in the sofachair by her bed.

"I borrow money from a sleezeball downtown to make it seem alright that i have expensive things here and there. I alwyas pay him a little late to keep up the image too, but sometimes he gets tsty with me jsut so i know whose top dog." he chuckled a little afterwards.

"He'd be shakign in his boots if he knew I coudl take down his petty littel smugglign ring in one night. FAAAAA fa cullo, that stings worse than a bullet!" he flinched again.

"WHy is that you suppose." he siad, sighin and takgin a stick of gum from his pocket to chew. "That little stuff hurts more..." he said thoughtfully.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"Sorry..!" Kaera cringed and apologized every time he flinched. He had little splatters of blood all over the place and it really would stain if not taken care of. And maybe she -was- a little concerned about the cuts that seemed equally as common. She was just trying to make sure they were clean and wouldn't get infected! Kaera doubted he took the time to even think about that with how hastily the bandage on his cheek seemed to be slapped on there.

"It's the stupidest thing I have ever heard... there are so many better ways to have a cover story without getting yourself beat up in the street! I can't think of any right now, but I will. This is ridiculous..." she was grumbling at him again, trying to pry that terribly placed bandage off his cheek to take a good look at the damages. Finally she just had to yank it off really quick!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"nonono.. n-nYOUCH!!!!" he jumped a little. under the bandage there was a slathering of antibiotic ointment. "nnngh.. so.. where is this Casino gig anyways? is the place themed for us?" he asked, trygint o take his mind off of the annoying pain. He adjsuted his coat and the familiar jangle of metal inside woudl hit her ears... but only because she knew its source nowadays.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera bit her lip, this time trying not to laugh at him squirming in his chair. Once she realized she was near grinning, she quickly put her serious expression back on. Retaining that frown that was often reserved for Ezekiel alone. From her perspective, the shoddy splotch of stuff on his cheek couldn't have been slapped on there with care.

She left his side for a moment to go digging around in her suitcase. It was left sitting on top of the motel room dresser, bits of clothes and paperwork scattered here and there. Down at the bottom she pulled out a small first aid kit. The others liked to jest about her 'over-preparedness' but here was a moment that justified making sure she was ready for just about any emergency.

"It's called Cigno Dorato and it's here in town. They have this beautiful golden swan in their lobby and giant Italian white marble columns-- eh." Kaera paused with a sigh. No one ever cared about the architecture in the buildings, that was always her interest! "I mean, yes they have a concert hall for shows. Weekend events are really popular for them, so they have this huuuuge stadium seated showroom and a fantastic stage. I might have to hire a lighting guy, though..."

She was back at his side again, this time kneeling on the floor so she wouldn't have to bend over him. As gently as she could, Kaera had him by the chin and tilting his head to the side so she could clean away that mess he called a patch-job with an alcohol pad and put something on there that was -really- antibiotic.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"rr.. over prepared, and Underappreciated... thanks Kae.. nngh... lighting tech.. hey, i know a kid at the haggerty's downtown who can help out. He's a pro at that sorta stuff, went to college for stage tech." he said softly, contemplating what was goign on. more than anything he wanted to know everything woudl be okay. he hated whent eh future seemd ill lite.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera paused, a little surprised to hear a thank you coming out of his mouth. She hadn't heard it from any of the band mates, but Ezekiel was probably the last one she expected it from. She resumed her tending until the cut on his cheek had fresh ointment and a neatly placed bandage. Then she was placing things back in to her kit.

"We could talk to him tomorrow then and see if he's available! I was about to leave out again to get some shiny new equipment." Still kneeling on the floor, Kaera was examining him again. As if trying to decide what to do about him. With the rate he was going this week, he'd end up with an arm cut off or something. How many times had he allowed himself to get beat up by loan sharks just for a cover?

"You should probably come with me. At least then I can make sure you don't get yourself killed..."

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"fair enough.. then i can make sure you get a mic with some basstone handling." he chuckled. He stood up, crackgin his back intentionally and sighing, feelign loads better. course he woudlnt say that to her... yet.

"So.. lets discuss costumes." eh said, ushering her out the door.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Just hearing his back crack like that made her cringe. Would he even know if something was broken? Kaera was out the door before she could even make sure she had everything with her! She trotted down the steps, stopping at the bottom to give him a debious look.

"Costumes? Not just the normal attire? ... Hum... I guess it is a fancy casino and a really big venue." Of course, when she thought of costumes, her mind was thinking very silly things like furry bunny suits or creepy clowns. Ezekiel probably didn't have the same thing in mind. "I was thinking about getting a fancy dress for it. It's the first really nice place you've been able to play." Kaera had the chance to see at least part of the ground floor when she walked in for a meeting. It was definitely no seedy bar!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"i was thinkign something victorian.. oldworld stuff like late rennaissance masquerade stuff." he said yawning again. "Watcha think?" he moved with a slight limp, like a sprained ankle limp, not a broken adn bruised leg limp. He licked the blood from his teeth silently as they made theri way.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"Venetian masquerade masks! That would be absolutely wicked!" With the theme of the casino, it was so easy for Kaera to picture something very glamorous. Of course, it meant she was either going to need to buy some really nice costumes of dig her sewing kit out of her suitcase and bust her ass to tailor make something before the weekend. She could give each of the band mates a really neat mask, and have the stage decorated with the perfect lighting and feathers...!

Kaera was wrapped up in her planning, and didn't seemed to notice his limping as they headed down the street. At least not until she caught his reflection in one of the shop windows. She immediately stopped and took a good look at him. Then she was stomping one of her feet and growling at him. "Ezekiel!"

Stupid, stubborn... he could have mentioned he wasn't up for gallivanting around town for supply shopping. Was he just going to hobble around with her not saying a word about it? Angrily she pointed down at her foot. Still mad enough that she wasn't sure how she was going to yell at him yet.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"Hmm?... oh ah, tits okay, I just got kicked in the shin. big bruise, kinda sore... C'mon, don't gimme that.. awe, Kae, you knwo i hate that look!" he whimpered a litle, his attitude deflated infront of the woman.

"No, i'm serious, its just a sore bruise!" he siad. "HONEST!" he added seconds later when the pregnant and stagnant pause from her didn't end.

Minutes of hobbling at an increasingly faster pace, Ezekiel stopped outside a dress clothing store and examined the sign. " Hmm... loooks like they might have what i need... we gonna need somethign casually masquerade for when teh stage gets hotter, so fluffy shrits and thin overcoats shoudl do dontcha think?" he asked, looking over to her.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"You're trying to escape and change the subject." she responded low, having kept on his heels as he tried to walk away and pretend it wasn't a problem at all. Now Kaera was thinking of all the moments that she thought he was behaving strangely. How often had he done this before? Getting injured but still showing up for gigs and playing off that he was fine? Those times he'd grimace or scowl that she assumed was his dislike of her, but were really injuries he kept covered up?

When they paused in front of the clothing store shop, she was still casting him that soft glare. Kaera peered through the window, making a note of the styles. Thinking about which cuts would suit each member better, and what color shades would look the best...

"This will be good! If we get the light fabrics it shouldn't get too warm, and you can always take off the jackets. And I think I've going to give you a whole set of rules about getting in to fights and coming to work if you keep this up. ...I'm not just going to forget because you're distracting me with shopping!"

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"meh, I've been thinking of switchgin loansharks anyways." he chuckled, not respondign tot he restof her speech.

He entered teh store and wetn straight to the clerk, askign about venetian carnival clothing. It was fairly priced at only 120 dollars a suite because there wasn't enough demand last season. Zeke's attention was always focused in two directions,a lways looking for a black van, or a man who had followed them one too many blocks. today was oddly peaceful.

"se gudo.." he thought to himself. " That means they got the message." He laughed when they went intot eh backroom.

"Man, thats like forty suits to choose from..." he saidm, looking over the rough sewn jackets just waiting to be tailored.

"Hey, Kae, Get on the horn and get the boys over here, we got plannign to do!" helaughed, trying to find the perfect suite fro himself.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"When have any of you ever shown up when I call!" She retorted. Though, Kaera was already pulling out her phone and adeptly sending out several text messages to each of the members. They all had their own phone (She had insisted! Sometimes last minute gigs popped up!) but half the time she was scolding them for losing one or ignoring her calls. Kaera made sure to mention that if they refused to show up, she was going to choose their clothing for them. It wasn't much of a threat, but it was the best motivation she could think of on the spot.

While Ezekiel fussed over what must have been a very entertaining supply of suits, Kaera herself browsed the racks for the others. She had a great mental image of what she show could look like, all she needed was to find the rights pieces and pair them with good colors. Glitter also came to mind, but it was highly likely that none of the men would let her after them with a glitter stick.

"You know, you could narrow down all of those suits by picking something you like first... I think a vest would be handsome! I don't think enough men wear vests these days."

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"hmm agreed." he said simply, pullign several suiotes off the shelves, mixing and matchgin things. " I'm sensing a venetian carnival vibe, how about you?" he smile, posing witha suite held infront of him. it had poofy purple frilled cuffs on a blacka and grey long coat. he also found several bellbottom suit pants that he thought coudl be modified.

"Steampunk.. no, too rave, too cliche.. too shiek... arab, not glam.." he rummaged throguh a few more looks and came out with an ensemble that was easily matched.

"All i need is a bad wig, and it's modern victorian punk." he smiled. holdign up the new outfit.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"How about we forget the wig and make sure you have one amazing mask. And eye liner. I really like eyeliner." Kaera wasn't one for putting make up on guys, but eye liner was one exception. It always made a look POP, especially on men. She gave his suit selection an examining stare. Reaching out both hands to test the texture and weight of the fabric. How he could move in was just as important as how good it looked. ...only now Kaera was realizing mobility in these costumes must have been for more than just singing or dancing on the stage if he had ever immediately gone out for assassinating.

There was a peculiar look on her face for a moment, but that quickly vanished when her phone started ringing. Kaera flipped it out, assuming it was one of the bandmates. Yet, in her surprise, she stepped away from Ezekiel quickly to answer it.

"I have everything under control! There is a high profile concert this weekend and I promise you it will go over without a hitch." she responded to the unheard voice on the other end. Kaera turned her back to the room, glancing out the glass windows. On the phone was her boss. The recording studio that would make the CDs for her band if they earned a large enough fan base. More importantly, it was the man that told Kaera she was a terrible singer, would never be a musician herself, and that she should stick to something else. If she didn't make this work, she was going to be a failure at singing AND being a manager!

"I'll send you the details right away, yes, thank you. Of course!" When she hung up the phone she was letting out a loud, relieved breath. One she had no idea she was holding. Now she really needed to make sure the weekend's gig went over well, or she was out of a job!
