Ravewicked

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

KIll.. that is what transpired. there was a looming shadow over the alleyway.

"Hey, what was tha-GGHARCK!" one mans voice fell silent and a body slumped to the floor, seconds later a silenced gunshto echoed down the alley as another man fell over.

"Whats goign on.. theres somethign in the shado-" another silenced voice.

"shoot, SHOOT!" yeleld another as the reverberatign 'ping' of a volley of shots fired in all directions. a man ran right infront of Kaera, scared out of his mind and babbling as his footsteps went farther.. farther. " god, no... its a demon a deo-!" a flash of silver went across Kaera's vision as a throwing dagger flipped through the air and ended the screams of the man. She coudl see him take a stimble and fall dead, his gun sliding a few feet from him.

"REquiescatem in pache" zeke said, stepping out into her view. he showed no signs of battle save the final throwing knife in his hand. he glanced down the alleyway with hatred on his face.

"poor souls." he added in a solomn voice, crossing himself. "expiresd before their tiem for the sake fo another man's greed." he cursed.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

With every shot and sound, Kaera had to clamp her hands over her mouth to keep from screaming. There was very little for her to see beyond men scattering in a panic, and worse falling to the ground stone cold dead. Not feet away from her was a bleeding body. Then Ezekiel appeared like it was such an every day thing...!

Kaera bolted up to her feet. Her first instinct was to just start running. Scream for the police! But... how was she going to explain any of this! What if Ezekiel threw one of those knifey things at her too? Her mind was an out of control whirlwind.

Her hands placed on her cheeks, she was probably moments away from tears just because of frustration alone. Kaera visibly struggled with staying calm, so when she spoke it was shaky and several pitches higher than normal.

"What did you DO!" She glanced from body to body, finally having to squeeze her eyes shut to keep from staring. "Oh my god, there's dead people everywhere...!"

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Ezekiel put the daggers in his coat. at first glance, it looked like there wer at least fifty of them hanging in leather pockes sewn expertly into his coat with flapsover them, disguising their locations.

"Those men were sent to kill you... the manager of the club is probably dead too, but they aren't gonna bother with the other bandmates..."

Ezekiel sighed and put his hand under her chin, smiling. "You alright, boss?" he siad non-chalantly.

"You're lucky i know how to defend myself." he added moments later.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"After m-... You are crazy!" Kaera swatted his hand away, swatted at his arm, and very nearly rocked on her feet to swat at him too. Bands having crazy stalker fans wasn't out of the ordinary, but suggesting a bunch of goons were trying to kill HER and possibly the club manager, just... Just didn't make any sense at all. Now she was certain he had a coat full of weapons, which made everything look all the more senile.

Kaera pointed accusingly at him. "You're... you're a crazy person. I'm going to my motel." She was still babbling when she stepped out of her corner. Jumping to the side when one of the bodies on the ground twitched. Kaera covered her eyes again, blindly walking for the ally opening.

"I can't believe this... I have to call the police..!" Maybe she should go and check to see if the Club Manager was alive. Ezekiel could be drunk and on crazy person drugs!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"KAERA!" Ezekiel yelled, and when she turned, he hurled a dagger at the wall behind her. he walked to her in her shock and grabbed the dagger from the wall, holding ti to her face... there was a large fly on the end of the knife, its wings pierced by the tip of the knife.

"I'm an assasin...We don't take kindly to lying. If you think I'm full of shit, take a look around you. Eight gunmen just left this world because soem arroggant PRICK told them they'd get paid when they got back. now listen, nobody NOBODY alive knows That i do what i do. NOBODY woudl recognize my face, THAT is why i can be your lead singer." he flicked the fly off the knife and pocketed it.

"The police will find these thugs soon enough." he said, shoving his helmet into her arms. " Get on the bike. and watch the news tommorow. They'll tell you whats going on." he said with a serious stare straight into her eyes.

"I don't fuck around, boss."

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera could have fainted. She kind of wished that she would. Then, maybe she wouldn't have to be there quivering in her shoes and fearful of what came next! She lift a hand to point at the knife, even opening her mouth as if she were going to say something about it. Ask how he did it. Or if he were going to kill her too. But it seemed her brain still had some common sense to it. If he were going to kill her too, he would have already. Assassin or crazy guy, he could easily kill her before she'd even realize she was being killed.

That was a very scary thought. With a huff, Kaera conceded. She was very obviously not pleased about it, likely going to cry the moment he stopped looking. But she stuffed his helmet over her head and marched back to his bike to climb on. Where she sat and crossed her arms.

"Then I won't call the police. ...but I am going to have nightmares now, and the club manager better not be dead too! We can't work if he's dead!" It was a stupid thing to be worried about in the wake of dead bodies everywhere, but Kaera needed something to focus on!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"Don't worry, I'll flip back around on foot once i drop you off. I'll give you a call in the mornign to tell you whats up." he said , turign his head and smilign at her.

"Nothings changed boss... You just know something nobody alive has had the privilege of since My brothers were killed." he chuckled a little and sped off, dodging the bodies. the rest of the ride was silent, and no cops were visible. Zeke stopped the bike infront of her stoop and turned off the motor.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera had no idea how he could be so cavalier about the entire ordeal. But she supposed if he was really an assassin, this was an everyday normal thing for him. At least he could have the common decency to understand this wasn't normal for her!

She didn't utter another word though. And despite not wanting to cling to an assassin, she still held on tight every time they took a sharp curve. Once they were stopped in front of her motel, Kaera hopped off the back and handed him his helmet. She was still scowling and still very perturbed, but at least the ride gave her the time to simmer down from total panic to a dull weary acceptance.

Kaera opened her mouth as if to say goodnight, but quickly shut it. There was no way she could simply say goodnight after all that! Turning on a heel, she practically ran all the way to her door. Turning the key with shaky hands, letting herself in, then slamming the door behind her. The locks were bolted shut and she found herself leaning against the door letting out a long breath.

...Maybe in the morning everything would make sense again!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Ezekiel smiled a little. "Good girl. stay safe." He whispered, taking off on his bike. He drove tot eh club, and Met with his last livign contact ont he roof.

"Whats the situation, Zelda?" he asked, pulling on his hood.

"Its the Imperial contra munde from russia, they're moving in on the local mob,a nd taking out every target they're goons pinpoint. there are innocent people dyign out there, Zeke." came ehr low soprano voice. she too was decked out int eh blakc leather coat and hood that he was.

"You ready for this/" he asked her. she replied by flippgin backwards into the opened skylight just as the russian goons came in to kill the club manager... three people were left standing, The club man fainted seconds later.

"Panzy." Seke said, dialign 911 on the phone, leavign it hang there and retrievign hsi knives quickly.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Come morning, Kaera awoke in her motel bed still dressed, wrapped up in blankets and clinging to a desk lamp. It was the only thing she could think of to use as a weapon. As she blinked at the dimly lit room, she almost wondered if she dreamed the entire thing. Ezekiel climbing up walls and killing thugs in an alley. That was all kind of unbelievable. Assuring herself that it was probably all a dream, Kaera left bed to shower and get dressed for the day.

Once clean and wearing another of her signature day dresses, she picked up her phone to check messages and confirm appointments. Rubbing her hair with a towel to get it dry, her fingers dialed her voice mail. The first message was NOT the message she wanted to hear!

"Matshida, we had an incident at the club last night. The police have everything blocked off, so I have to cancel your gig for the week. Nothing I can do about it, shit I'm glad to be alive. Y'know... I could use some warm compan-"

Kaera dropped her phone. Well. The club manager was alive, but... Something definitely happened. Everything she was hoping was a dream had really happened.

And their gig was cancelled!

"Oh gods...! We needed that money!" She fell backwards on the bed. Assassins and goons were trouble for sure, but without -work- the band was totally screwed! She'd beat Ezekiel for this!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Ther next message on the phone rang out of the phone. it was ezekiels voice.

"Kaera, i was right, those thugs tried to attack the club manager, I had to stop them, its good thing he didn't see my face. but it turns out there was a bounty on three of the guys heads. one int eh alley, and two in the club, so my.. associates, gave me soem bonus check. I'll be by at about noon, hope you liek chinese food. " the message clicked off.

Meanwhile, Zeke climbed out of bed in his hideout apartment across town. The front door was a fake entrance, and the only real way in was from the rooftop going through some of the airvent ducts. Zeke crawled out of bed and checked his own messages.

"The brotherhood thansk you for your work ezekail." came the first words. " I see you must have passed out soon after the message of yoru bonus was relayed to you, Contact Zelda fro further info. Soemethign big is goign down in your city." the message of the spanish sounding man ended with soemthing in latin ezekiel never tookt eh time to learn.

"hmm.. eleven int ehmorning... Boss should've gotten my message by now.. good good.." he smiled, putting on his clothes and rushing out to the roof.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Speak of the devil. Kaera sat up quickly, scrambling to pick her phone up off the phone. She glared at it as if Ezekiel were standing right there and could feel it through the phone. She even played the message back a second and third time. What did he mean by bounty? Chinese food?

"No! I don't want your Chinese food!" She complained at the phone, tossing it on the bed. "You're a lunatic! ....I've got to book a new venue! Oh, jeeze..." Ceasing her nonsensical shouting at the inanimate object, Kaera bounced back on the bed to retrieve her phone. For the next several minutes she pawed through her local contacts. Calling up every club, business, and place with a stage she could think of and leaving them all messages about her band. Surely, at least one of them would have an open spot for the week.

Once she had her shoes on, Kaera was making a break for the door. Maybe she could escape and get to work before Ezekiel showed up with a half-hearted peace offering. There was no way she was going to forget everything just because he had food!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"BOO!' he said as she opened the door. "NIce try, boss." he said with a knowing grin. He held up a wad of cash the size of a CD held together with three rubberbands.

"Eight Grand... not a bad nights work eh?" he said, shoving the pile of cahs into her hands and pushgin her gently into the room. he locked the door behind him.

"Believe me yet? this is a lucrative thing i got going...and incase you get the mad idea i take pleasure in this shit... lemme tell you what, my associates and I keep the order. those russian goons are moving in ont eh city and someone has to stop em, and you know better than most it wont be the local criem department... the world needs strong armed into protecting itself. Im no superhero, i DONT take bribes, and Im NOT the sleezeball you seem to think i am, and i know you do, i can see it when you look at me." he chuckled a little.

"But let me ask yo tis Kae." he said, leangin forward in teh chair, his foto planted infront of the door sto prevent her escape. he was loadign her up with all this info wrecklessly for a reason.

"Why.. cna't it just be about the music?" he said.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"To be fair, I thought you were a jerk before I knew you killed people for a living!" There was eight thousand dollars in her hands... and he was blocking the door, knowing full well the one thing she wanted to do was run away. But it was his final statement that caught her by surprise. Mostly because it didn't make a lick of sense when thrown in to the mix with everything else.

Kaera took several steps back until she hit the bed, then dropped to a seat. The cash was still in her hands (she had to admit, it was the first time she ever had that much money in hand and it was nice!) and she was still eying him as if she believed he would throw a knife at her. But at least now she was listening without immediately planning escape routes.

"Why are you telling me all of this... And why would Russian mobsters even want to kill a club owner, or ME for that matter! Or was that just to scare me stupid for a few minutes so I wouldn't call the police on you?" Kaera still wasn't quite sure what to believe. But anyone wanting to hurt her was a little far-fetched. She didn't have anything to do with organized crime!

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"I'm tellgin you because theres no FUCKING poitn in hiding it!" he said in a wicked whisper that sent chills down his own spine. " I've done worse than stick people inteh heart with a five inch blade, Kaera... The music helps me forget that I help keep the world from falling apart four or five days a month." he moved his foto and leaned back in the chair.

"do what you want, the money is yours." he bashed his fist against he chairs arma dn stood up, leaving quietly. there was a knife were his fist had been.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

Kaera was stunned in to silence and confusion for several moments. The worst part was that she felt guilty, though none of this was her doing. Ezekiel was not who he claimed to be. Or at least... not who she assumed him to be. Now she had seen something she was probably never meant to, and it wasn't the whole assassin thing.

Standing quickly, she stuffed the roll of cash in the mattress for the time being. Later she would find a safer spot. Then she was crossing the room, snatching up his knife before stepping out of the motel room door. Hoping to catch him before he was gone.

"Ezekiel, wait...!"

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"What." he said turning around. his arms flapped at his sides when he spoke. he wasn't sure what to make fo this situation himself actually. He had made it to the bottom of the stairs outside he ascended three steps and waited for her.

"I called NEzz adn the guys last night. they're fine, but johnny has a headcold. not liek that'll bother hsi playing the drums." he shook hsi head a little.

"All i want is on that stage Kaera. It's my drug. my addiction." he sighed and leaned on the railing.

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

The entire thing was awkward, but that didn't stop Kaera from hopping down the steps and offering the knife back to Ezekiel.

"...If you want to keep playing... You'll have to help me find a new venue. I can't let you be lazy just because you're making loads of money on a side job." It was Kaera's unsubtle way of showing she would trust him. And believe him. ...That wasn't going to save him from lots of questions later, but she was their band manager. She needed to be a professional after all.

She waved the knife at him. "Take this please, I keep thinking it's going to come alive and bite me. ...I don't suppose the entire band are assassins, are they?"

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

"nah." he chuckled. " Use that money for soem new amps, mayeb some rave lgihts too." he said, startign to leave. "I Got a meeting at the cafe with a friend, i might coem back with a good venue." he yelled back, leavign with haste.. with the knife.

Thats how it usually worked. Ezekiel went and looked fro venues in need, and Kaera sealed the deal. Sometimes Kae found the venue first, sometiems Zeke did. either way, it got the job done. the search was on!

( And the player... goes to bed. ^^)

Re: Ravewicked (Diana and Desaecula)

For the rest of the afternoon, Kaera spent it on her feet walking around the city. Occasionally she would catch a cab if the destination was far enough. Her first stop was the bank. There was so way she would carry around eight thousand dollars in cash, nor would she feel safe having it stuff under her motel room mattress!

After that, it was all about meetings. She would step in to a club to survey the layout of the place. If it had a good size and a good feel to it, she would seek out the manager and have a chat. Many of the managers were helpful, but they weren't needing entertainment so soon. On the bright side, she got lots of names and numbers for booking events in future months.

Other places were not so nice. One look at her and she was laughed right out. So she didn't look like the manager of a Rave Rock band! She was still dressed nice. Kaera didn't take it to heart, though. It was their own loss of great music. Worse, a bouncer tried to paw at her, which was completely inappropriate.

When she was nearly ready to give up all together, Kaera finally lucked out with one of the casinos. They recently had their band cancel last minute, which meant they desperately needed entertainment. And the best of all, they needed them on the weekend. It was just the luck Kaera was hoping for!

She was skipping her way merrily down the sidewalk, her phone in hand to send text messages to all of the band members. She was still looking for a place they could play in the meantime, but their weekend was booked! As soon as she was back at the motel, Kaera could draw up their budget for new equipment. All fears about the prior night had vanished from her mind in the wake of her excitement!
