This is a game I've seen work in some Facebook groups pretty well. I figure it'll be a fun way to figure out how we all roll musically and how our tastes stack up to one another.
How it goes:
1) One person posts a song. Artist name, song title, and album are given, along with a link (youtube, mediafire, myspace, etc).
2) Another poster rates that song numerically, out of a 100. Then that poster repeats step 1.
3) Another person rates that song, provides a song, and the cycle repeats.
Eg.
Poster 1: "Song Name" - <Artist Name>
Youtube/mediafire/megaupload/dailymotion/video.google.com/myspace/etc. link to the song
Poster 2: <Song name and artist name that previous poster put up>: (Numerical score)/100 [- optional commentary about the song here]
<Song Name> - Artist Name:
Link to the song
^Repeat step two basically for the rest of the game.
80/100. Not my favorite kind of music but a good song and more enjoyable then I expected. Couldn't understand a word but the guy had a good voice and it worked well with the other instruments.
"The Funeral of An Age" by Procession: 65/100. Decent Song. Could have used some more variation imo, but then again it has a steady, drudging quality to it that really speaks of misery and doom.
