Derek frowned. He nodded and let Max take his turn to try and step up as he reached his hands out to help him up with his hands on his shoulder. Once the future solider had the man in his arms, he moved slowly as to help max walk, not the other way around.
Lucas watched Scooby as Max got up with the help of the other man. He was silent and watched. The young man was unsteady, but with the help of Derek, he got it a little. It was probably going to take time for him to get fully better, but it was a step in the right way. A step in the right direction was a good thing.
Max was starting to get steady, but it was difficult. He wasn't sure if he could do it on his own. He moved at his own pace slowly but surely. Lucas watched from behind to give him support if he faltered. Scooby occasionally glanced back as he led them to the exit.
Max tried to keep himself steady as he looked around and walked. It wasn't like it could get much worse than being sick and not able to walk. At least, he didn't think it could possibly get any worse. He took a deep breath. " Thanks for helping me out with this," he said.
