As soon as Marti felt the pain disappear, she opened her eyes. Examining herself, she smiled. "Damn... I could really get used to this. Marti Model X, huh? Sounds like it could be from a sci-fi story... I love it!" She jumped up in excitement before noticing her arm. She gasped. "Oh... My... Fucking... God... Is that... I have a blaster arm!" She looked it over, nearly caressing it with her other arm. "Oh my God, this is AMAZING! And is that boosters on my feet? Oh my God, I have boosters on my feet! And this armor! Dear God, this fucking armor is amazing!" She finally stopped to think about the small robot's question. "What to do now, huh? ... Well, we do what I always do with a new bike. Test the motherfucker out!" She smiled and quickly started running toward where the main disturbances were, where the Maverick was. "Let's kick some Ass, X!" She yelled, completely ecstatic.

Caramon looked at his new form, reflected in the saw blades, impressed at what he saw, yet slightly saddened that all his left arm retained was the last built-in device he'd used, yet he believed that he could probably use it to his advantage as he saw the Maverick's remaining arms coming at him from all sides.
His left arm changed as he tried to bring forth his grappling hook, his hand sliding into his arm, and a long chain of energy blades replacing it.
Launching his 'hook' into one of the arms, he used his dash booster to swing into the Maverick, then repel back off of it as he released the 'hook', changing it back to his normal hand as soon as it returned, and landed a short distance away, striking a pose as he called out his new identification.
"Caramon Zero, Model Z, reporting for duty!"

He smiled at the new weapons in his hands, readying himself in a combative stance, firmly planting his left foot behind him, and holding his sword at his left waist as if it were in a sheathe, as the Maverick struck again, this time only using it's back-right arm to try to crush him yet again, to which he answered by guarding with the Z-Saber, his foot left foot against the handle, right hand on the pommel, and blade slicing through the metal of the Maverick's arm, disabling it's grabbing ability, as well as making an easily exploitable hole in it's crushing blows, before the Maverick swung at him again using a spiraling blade.

A devilish smile came over his face as the biometal spoke of carnage to the robot " Now thats what im talking about Biometal! " he crouched down and focused them looked forward as he began dashing very fast towards the city, " LETS KICK SOME ROBOT METAL!! " the guns trailing behind him as he let his body carry him forward with the dash motion. The blood flowing through him quickly carrying the adrenaline through his body he could feel as if he was invincible right now, and plus he looked cooler than any robot he has ever seen.

Ow. That... really hurts... ugh...

Then again, perhaps Cormag shouldn't have expected less from a Maverick Mechaniloid, such as the one rampaging through the city right now. Where had it even come from? Probably outside the city, maybe a remnant of the last major Maverick strike. At least the few human-sized Mavericks escorting it were done for already, but that wasn't saying much now that he was laying half buried in a pile of rubble with a couple of bones certainly broken.

"Gotta... keep movin'," Cormag grunted out, as he finally heaved that last hunk of old scaffolding off of himself. His torso was searing with pain, and his limbs felt almost numb, but the riot enforcer had to press on. For the sake of duty, and just getting rid of those damn Mavericks.

He was only wishing he'd been called to action at a better time: Besides a helmet and strapped on combat vest, Cormag really lacked most of the gear that would make things easier. Especially the assault rifle. The huge Mechaniloid loomed in the distance, seeming to be pestered by some other source, seeming how it wasn't moving forward. Heaving another groan, Cormag stumbled forward and began limply pacing towards the enemy.

His stronger hands went to his side, uncapping a holster and drawing one of his Buster handguns. Not much, but better than nothing. Clenching the family necklace he wore around his neck with his other hand, Cormag aimed at the Mechaniloid, taking a few potshots at it with the Buster gun. None of the blasts even connected, but it wasn't like it'd have done much damage anyway. "YOU HEARIN' THIS, YOU OVER-SIZED TOASTER? I'LL WRECK YOU! I'LL.. destroy you, you..." Cormag faltered, sputtering out in a set of painful chokes.

Who was he kidding, that was a poor battle cry, even considering the fact that he was dying. And crap, he was dying. His body heaving with pain, Cormag collapsed to one knee, barely even managing to keep his shooting arm stationary. He couldn't let his parents down, couldn't let it all end like this...

One of the good things about Metropolis was the fact that it was an overall peaceful place. The denizens who lived in it and the machinery that made it function all ran like the set sequence of a cuckoo clock, locked in a continuous framework of perpetual monotony. Efficient and unsurprising. So when a deviation from the original pattern happened in a rather large way, it wasn't hard to tell where or what it was. And this what, as Victoria observed, was a rather large one.

The smoke from the building's collapse wafted up into the air in dark clouds, polluting the indigo sky above with a grey-ish tint. "Well, there's Waldo...," Victoria said aloud with a sigh as she stopped maneuvering around the debris and fleeing bystanders, having found what she'd been looking for. The Maverick had a good seventy-something feet on the midnight-haired girl, but she seemed rather unperturbed by its size. Something appeared to be providing a distraction for it, but Victoria couldn't see what, her view blocked by the appartus's hulking backside.

Digging out a small device from the insides of her pockets, Victoria looked down at the piece of tech. with blank awareness. "So are you awake or what? You kept me up all night with your jabbering, you've got no right to flake out on me now that you can actually be useful. Don't make me shake you again," she threatened the small contraption, dark eyes narrowed at it.

Luna followed the trail of destruction past her apartment building, sighing slightly as she passed it. "I hope either my computer's fine....or the tower's destroyed, can't have anyone getting that data." she muttered to herself. Part of her really wanted to just get this done and find Caramon though another part was afraid she'd only find his body. she shook the thoughts from her head as she finally saw the brute looming over another reploid. "More than just me huh? I like them odds. Big guy verses like two or more even? good odds."

Caramon dodged the incoming blade, seeing someone not too far from him, and calling out to them.
"Hey, could I trouble you for some help? This big guy's a bit more durable than I initially thought, so it's taking a bit to take him down. Any assistance you could give me would be greatly appreciated."
He extended his chain from his left arm once again, using it to swing from the Maverick's arm onto a pile of rubble that gave him a better view of what he had to work with before jumping onto the Maverick's back, keeping himself in place with his Z-saber as he tried to figure out a way to get back into the hole he'd made before, without getting himself killed.

He boosted into the slums and could see the man on the maverick, now either he was calling out to me or someone else but the call was good enough for him to take action. He took in a deep breath before heading right for the maverick, he began shooting at the mavericks legs leaving burnt marks were he had shot with the energy. One of the mavericks arms swinging down at ludus, which was perfect as ludus jumped up and planted one of the guns on the arm going under him. He charged the blast causing it to hum a bit with energy before firing it off into the arm of the maverick, the blast burning deeper into the arm leaving an actual hole this time but not going through the other side. Running up the side of the arm he lept up into the air shooting at the mavericks head leaving more burnt marks, before he was interrupted by an forearm from the maverick sending ludus spinning in the air against and into a buildings window. " Ow "

It was quite strange to Marti, being able to run so fast. She enjoyed it, thought it was quite the thrill. She let out a yell of enjoyment. She couldn't believe how great it felt. She managed to reach the Maverick in record time, seeing two others near there. "Well, huh. Looks like I'm not the only one here. Guess going against it alone would be kinda stupid, huh?" She looked over the two, wondering just how they got biometals. Maybe they would let her... look... at their respective biometals. She smirked at the thought.

From the looks of the faces of the newcomers that dashed up, they had only noticed Caramon nearby, completely disregarding the individuals they had to pass to reach his destination.
He decided that the best course of action would be divide and conquer, he just needed a distraction long enough to last until he could safely enter the hole.
"Hey, guy in the wall, person in the street, persons over by the building, my name's Caramon, Caramon Zero, and I think we should work together to take this thing out. If you can buy me enough time to get into that hole without getting my head or arm cut off, I can make it bigger, and you four can blast it's core. Sound like a plan?"

Standing in the hole that was created by him getting thrown he dusted the soot off his shoulder and smirked looking at Caramon " Nice to meet ya Caramon " he slammed his thumb against his own chest " I'm ludus " he stretched a bit " sounds like a good plan, i'll take the distraction lead then, get ready! " He held both guns up and started to charge them " HEY METAL HEAD! EAT THIS! " he fired off the two blast's colliding them with the mavericks large head, making it pay attention to him as he rapid fired the beams at maverick hitting it all over the face. it turned slowly at him and began to go at him with arms of fury, leaping over an incoming arm he continued to blast the maverick in the face laughing " IS THAT THE BEST YA GOT?! "

Luna giggled. "Sure thing Sweetheart!" she shouted back as she jumped up and slashed at one of the maverick's arms. From what she could tell, it LOOKED like she hit a good spot to knock of an arm, luckily she did though it wasn't completely gone, just dangling there still. "Shoot, I missed," she mumbled. She was glad to hear Caramon's voice and knowing he was alive and safe made her feel a lot better.

Marti raised an eyebrow at Luna's nickname for the man. "Sweetheart? Yuck! If you two start kissing I'm going to have to punch something!" She aimed and fired with her blaster, hitting the leg of the Maverick. She was aiming for the head, but that worked too. She moved around the large robot, shooting and hoping to slow it down just a smidge. If anything, she was having a blast while doing it.

Thanks to the distraction, Caramon was able to work his way around to the hole, turning as he heard the familiar voices after entering it.
"Ludus? Marti? Luna?! What're you guys doing here? How did you get like this? What am I doing?! I need to get this thing torn open, now."
Caramon grabbed his saber, shoving it through the metal plating as he slowly cut a large hole attached to the previous one he made some time before.
After finishing, he impaled his chain on the edge of the hole and jumped around the arm Luna had severely damaged, severing it with the blades before landing on the Maverick's head, waiting on the others before making his next move.

He continued to dodge the incoming arm and noticed how the chest plate became open, he dashed up the building and flipped off it his beams charging up as he did so. He came in direct sight of the " EAT THIS! " he fired off the beams and they rammed right into the exposed maverick sending ludus actually soaring back from the shot. Flipping and spinning he landed on his feet in a kneeled pose before standing up straight laughing " Ha! " nodding his head this was a fine put together team so far. then the name Caramon shot into his head and he shouted " WERE DO I KNOW YOU FROM CARAMON?! DID YOU BUY FROM MY SHOP? " he rubbed his chin pondering. as his beams went directly through the opening caramon made.

"I'm the man who builds all of y'all's toys!" Caramon said with a mischievous grin, waiting on the others to strike, passing the time with a few answers.
"Ludus, I make parts for your guns, so that people can be sure to rely on them for protection. Marti, I make parts for the junk shop that you use in your bikes, and, if the shop's still mostly intact, I even got one built for your birthday next week, but you can go ahead and get it when this's over and done with, since that old silvermane's gone and quit on ya. Luna, my dear, sweet Luna, I want to build something with you for once, instead of merely for you, so after all of this is over, I wouldn't mind being able to hear your answer to my question from earlier."
He held fast as the blast struck, weakening the behemoth.
"Good work everyone, but it's going to take quite a bit more than that to take this thing down. It's probably gonna take a combined attack to destroy that core. I've opened the hole, you just need to fill it."

Luna smiled to herself, hearing Caramon talk about wanting to build something with her. She knew exactly what he meant. She took careful aim and tried to shoot a blast of ice at the core, she was a little low and it hit just underneath the core. She laughed a bit at herself. "Never was a good shot," she said more to herself than anything.

Seeing how close Luna was, but not exactly on target, Caramon decided it might be best to bail out early and show her what he noticed was wrong. 'I can't really tell her, since she's always been able to learn best by doing, and if I tried to give her instructions, she might cut my head off. I'd rather not have the last thing I see to be her crying.'
He slid down the beast's back with his Z-Saber, leaving a deep groove in the thick plating as he descended, finally reaching the ground before dashing over to Luna, walking behind her, and grabbing her arms.
"My Eternal Moon, you need not swing so wildly. Let the staff carry you with it." he said, gently moving her arms in the direction of the core and slowly swinging them just enough to avoid activating the weapon, as he continued, "If you point the end of the staff in the direction you want the blast to go, you end up making it go in that general direction, but it's not very accurate. If you allow your whole body to be used," he let her go and spun his sword in his hands before stopping suddenly in the direction of the core, making sure she watched his movements carefully before adding, "like this, then it's much for accurate, and I know you'll look simply amazing doing it. Well, not that you can get much more amazing, that is." he finished with a smile, standing beside her, ready to see what she had learned from his explination.

Wounded by several enemies and taking small shots, but many, the Body of the Maverick finally gave up. Piece for piece fell off the main body and several smaller parts fell out of its chest's hole. The legs that carried it before lost hydraulic liquid, making it sink on the ground while its arms fell as well. The blades stopped spinning and all it would take now would be one finishing attack.

Luna's face turned slightly pink though she laughed a little bit as he gently tried to break it to her. "I've never been a good shot, my parents tried to teach me when I was a kid," she said softly. She calmed herself a bit more and shot again, this time it landed square in what remained of the chest of the Maverick. She hoped it was strong enough to at least knock the maverick down if not defeat it. "You mean more like that?" she asked looking at him.
