Tirian~Anyone

The news spread like wildfire over the first floor, and after that the greatest abundance of spots that had been listed in the guide book; were taken up. It made it difficult, and much more scary, but it was a side of people Tirian knew all too well. Glazed over pale blue eyes peered out over the walls of Grand Masai onto the fishing lake. A strong wind stirred the white crown of hair atop his head as shadows moved to reveal the red markings visible on his cheek. It was hard to believe that people were able to sit there amongst all of this and fish as if they were fine with it all. He was one to talk though, especially when he was also doing nothing towards the war front. A group of organized individuals held meetings, trying to gather support so that they could get along and defeat the boss, and of course people were getting closer. The boss was a Goblin Chieftain with a various amount of minions, it should have been a simple thing to face, but with the fear of death involved in this game it proved much more difficult than it otherwise would have been.

Tirian had joined the effort once, and had seen the gleaming red eyes of the creature. In truth the Goblin Chieftain was not the difficult part of that boss room. The Shamans continued to raise their dead comrades and buff them up, and the mass of Goblin Soldiers and Archers were well placed to give the Boss the free roam of the place and pick them off. Tirian had been there to see at least 4 people die already, and he had ben lucky to block in just enough time to not receive critical damage himself. It was a whole new game when your actual lives were at stake.

A soft sigh passed his lips as he hopped down from the wall and walked back to the Market place. Duels were taking place as always, people practicing to join the Front Line group that would aim to clear this game. He on the other hand had other places to attend. The city was huge, and the abundance of Npcs made it seem very lively. Over all the place was not all that terrifying being on first floor, it was its own paradise of sorts technically. There were basic herbs for herbalists to go pick, and Ore for Mineral gatherers like himself to get. He had already obtained 2 pieces of ore at least, and when he had woken up today he planned to get the final piece he needed to get himself a better weapon. "I suppose thats probably the best place to go, no one likes to go near that one so much." It was bound to be a decent journey but if he left before the Front line stirred up then he might be able to occupy at least one other piece of ore and get an Iron one hander. That was bound to help one way or another over the starter gear.

Tirian made up his mind walked through the center of the town and started towards the main gate. He had a long trip ahead, but if he was lucky the enemies would be spawning about this time and he would have a good chance to work on his swords skill. So without anymore interruption he took a stance and then dashed off out of Grand Masai, into the plain hunting grounds of the First floor of Quest Online.

It was good he timed it when he did, the monsters were spawning a bit in the distance which brought a smirk to his expression. He dashed off even faster drawing his weapon out just in time for three wolves to aggro him. Two of them lunged forward and with a battle cry and well placed footing Tirian swung his sword out to meet the one across its maw. The other came from the other side and Tirian turned quickly to smash his starter shield into the wolves face, only slightly jarring it for enough of a second that Tirian could swing his weapon around and catch it on the side of the head. He was not out of the woods yet though, both of those wolves fall down and shattered, and just when he could turn the final wolf lunged up and pinned him to the ground snapping angrily at his throat as he pushed back against it. Even base creatures of this game were vicious if you didn't learn to use your weapons expertly, and multiple creature mobs made it dificult for solo players like himself, but for some reason that was his enjoyment in this game.

With one more push and a buck of his legs he kicked the wolf off of him having only sustained the slightest damage. Tirian kicked off the ground in that moment and with another battle cry charged forward to stab and impale the wolf through its gut. The creature shattered after the strike ran true and its Hp dropped, and Tirian took a moment to catch his breath sitting up. He really needed to get stronger if he was going to survive like this. "Solo Players are not encouraged in a game like this, because there is only so much you can do." It was odd because when he first started this Tirian had planned to solo every dungeon of this game, to eat them all like that, but it seemed hardly possible at this point, not when he could hardly take on a few wolves. Tirian sheathed his weapon and stood up placing his shield on his back as he started to get ready to run again, hopefully there would be more small encounters like that one, and he would find patterns in them to help him get better with the enemies of this game. Not to mention the 5 GP each of them dropped would come in handy too. "Maybe when I get back to Grand Masai I should to a duel..." He questioned as he started again. There was still a long time until he would reach the big lake and the Mineral Deposit.

Kaozuki ~ People

Kaozuki dashed back and forth between the various pans and the oven, checking on the fifteen different dishes she had going on at once... two of which were burning. She rushed to turn the fire down but was whapped on the head on her way there by her boss, Fleur. The barking began and Kaozuki wondered how it was possible to attend to so many dishes at once that took constant attention to cook. When she'd started there, she'd been asked if she knew how to cook. Sure she did but they didn't ask if she knew how to be an octopus and do more things at once than she could keep straight at once.

"But this is too much for one person to doooooooo..." Kaozuki groaned, rushing to stir the third dish before it began to burn. It was understandable that the restaurant had to run but just two cooks wasn't enough. Naturally, the one and a half was Michael West who she could have sworn was a borderline professional chef in the making and the one half a cook was her who knew how to attend to one thing at a time, maybe two if she was lucky. Her brain just didn't move in that many directions at once with so many different recipes she was just learning. Heck, she couldn't cook this many things at once even if she knew all the recipes by heart.

"Get back to work before the blackberry clafouti is ruined," Fleur ordered before bonking her on the head with a rolling pin, then looked at it and tossed it next to the pile of dishes that needed to be cleaned. Kaozuki hurried off to attend to it, wishing she could actually have been taught how to do all of this before being thrust into rush hour while running around with the cook book in hand so she could read the instructions. Michael dashed by, stepping away from his own stoves for a moment to lend a hand with a dish that she didn't even remember the name of before it simmered over. It was embarrassing.

Durendal ~ People

Durendal made his way back to town after a good chunk of time in the mines. He'd passed by the fourth raiding party of the day that had headed off to the dungeons like idiots. They were fools, rushing out with ideas of glory. Going out an fighting monsters didn't do all that much right now. It was a lot more profitable to get the basics and make money, preparing for the bigger and better things. Then fighting would come in mass later when the rewards were bigger and the treasure riper. Till then running out after monsters was a waste befitting those who didn't think things through first. Thoughts like "I want to get back" and "I want to be the first to the top" were the kind that bred the sort that either died early on or burned out partway up, ending up paling in comparison to the patient. Patient ones like him. He passed a group that he'd seen going off into the second dungeon on his way with a group of others to the mines and chuckled to himself, noting how they were a head short. Too bad for them. That's what happened when people rushed. On the bright side, the more of those kind there were, the more demand for stuff there'd be with fewer people supplying it all and that meant a faster start for him and anyone else smart enough to take it easy. He had drawn his swords all of once at the beginning of the game just to examine them and after that had stuck with a group of miners who were smart enough like himself to follow along most of the way to the mines behind groups heading to the dungeons. In that way they minimized fighting and focused on just getting the goods.

"What a joke," he scoffed as the group that had gone to Dungeon B minus one passed by, saying it loud enough for them to hear, not because he wanted them to hear but because he just didn't care whether anyone heard it or not. If they had a problem with it, they could take it up with him later and then they'd be short more people.

Zephyr

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> Zephyr sat on the floor of his room at the inn, not bothering to turn on the light. Trying to sleep was useless; all he saw when he closed his eyes was Susan’s face when the goblin got in the final blow: frustration mixed with amusement. He had made her fight the monster alone, wanting her to get used to the battle system. What a fool he’d been! Giving up on getting any rest, the young man got up and walked out of his room, down the stairs, and out of the inn. “I need to kill something,” he muttered, heading for the city gate.

Once he was out of Grand Masai, Zephyr headed westward into the forest, staying close to the wall. He kept his senses alert; it wouldn’t do to be ambushed by forest monsters, especially with the crappy starter equipment this game provided. After a ten minute walk, Zephyr finally heard the telltale noise of a growling wolf. He made his way toward the sound as sneakily as he could, but when he was finally in a position to see, Zephyr realized his mistake. There wasn’t one wolf in the small clearing ahead of him, there were four.

Location~ First floor near the Back part of the Tower, slightly south of the forest.
Tirian~ People/Zephyr

Tirian had a few lesser encounters on his way along, and even noted a small group of wounded warriors returning from what he assumed was dungeon B. It was rough, especially when you had likely just failed the dungeon you were attempting, as well as lost a friend. People still clung to what they knew, if they had a friend; they ran with them for hope that together they could make it through this death trap, but even floor one was treacherous for some, the designers of this game had been merciless in the intelligence level of their Creatures AI.

It didn’t take Tirian all that long to find the start of what appeared to be a fairly large forest. This was for herbalists mainly, and when he obtained his second skill, he probably would use this path a lot, assuming he returned here to get herbs. It was funny really, when honestly it was all assuming he survived long enough to receive his second Life Skill. Before long, the obnoxious snicker, of what hed come to know as a goblin emerged from the air, and he knew that meant one of two things. One a trap had been set for someone, two they had found him.

His body jerked as he drew both sword and shield quickly and started to glance around. Then off in the distance he caught sight of a few wolves prowling around another player. Honestly, it was none of his concern; but allowing him to die, right in front of him? He bit at his lip and sighed dashing off in that direction but obscuring his sound as best he could with well placed movements. Not long and he caught sight of the boggers, the Goblins huddled together in a group of three. What the actual hell was this guy-thinking coming in right off of Gran Masai’s border. It only had seemed like common sense, the game designer of such a game would place a trap to screw over the lazy player that attempted to go through the forest to Dungeon A.

Tirian had to make a choice and fast, the wolves were nothing in comparison to the ten or so goblins that were about to jump him. A low snarl emerged past his lips as he prepared then dashed in and as one of the goblins knocked back and arrow, the brought his sword around with a Loud roar and cleave one of them in half, only because he had the element of surprise at the time. The group of three would be simple enough to take care of, and he only could hope that the other player could handle the wolves, and recognize the ambush before it was too late.

Tirian was careful as he stepped out of the way of one of the gobs swinging down an axe at him with intent to kill. They growled and cackled, enticing fear; or rather attempting to do so at least. Tirian watched as the other came in for another swing and he could only just step back to avoid it. He was still having difficulty remembering to use his shield at this point, having chosen to specialize in Single one hand sword combat. He glanced over at the other player watching to see if hed caught on yet, but a few goblins had already emerged, a quick count told him four with axes like the two he fought now, which meant that three Archers still remained.

Damn this game, the strategy used on such a base level was ridiculous, it was floor one! That didn’t matter now though, they had to find a way out of this situation. Tirian waited for the second strike; though this one was even more coordinated than the last by his two opponents, “go figure.” He growled out stepping back just in time to raise his shield and catch both of there axes full force. His arm felt a jarring sensation as he did so, but he knew it was now or never to at least even the playground. His body lurched forward and with a strong push he knocked them on their back feet for a second, coming in with his actual attack, a quick piercing jab aimed to skew the goblin at its waist, and luckily with the knock back effect implied by the game and his shield, he was able to do so.

The goblin disappeared and there was only one left, which conveniently enough moved to strike as well. A bit of confidence had formed when Tirian found out the truth about their slow reaction time to counter strikes. It was a discovery that he needed in this moment. His arm flung around mid downward strike by the Goblin and smacked away the axe as his sword swing came in taking the goblin at the throat. His enemies shattered as he looked down at his own sword, only for a second astonished if nothing else by his own power in this world.

It was a short-lived moment however. Tirian was forced to return his gaze to the four soldiers that were moving to face this other player. “Archers..” he grumbled noticing the gleam of their yellow green eyes in the distance spread out on the other splay of the forest. It was easy enough to pick out where they were by considering that two had come from each position, in terms of the melee gobs. Still this was a shitty situation, very shitty. Tirian watched one strike forward at his new acquaintance, and another prepare, it was the chance he needed.

Tirian raised his shield and dashed forward, swinging as he ran in and catching the goblin at his leg, raising the shield just in time to knock back an arrow, though the sudden impact of the weapon hurt like since he had starter equipment. The Goblin was left hardly mobie which was the advantage he needed as he dashed into the direction of one of the archers, and just before he could draw his next arrow; Tirian ran his blade through his roaring out in a battle cry. He had to continue, though, by his count, 3 and a half melee gobs remained, and two archers.

Morte~ People/(Possibly) Kaozuki

The sound of clashing swords, danced about a peculiar music for any keen enough to hear it, but it was entertainment for those that watched. Over all in the time that had passed since this game had trapped them, many things had manifested. No one had made it through the first boss, or even onto the second floor for that matter, even though most trained hard each day. The game was cruel in some aspects, however that depended mostly on the player that played the game.

Morte was a character that relished in the life that was provided by Quest Online, not that he didn’t like his own life but certain aspects of freedom, enticed the man. A silver cast gleam shown in the deep violet of his eyes as he glanced over the newest duelists to take center field, and brushed back his well-kept gray violet hair. Purple seemed to be his best color on first glance.

I wasn’t long before Morte in his wanderings found himself within a lovely little café. d'orge. “Oh. well this is lovely.” He spoke with a slick almost serpent like charm as he waited to be seated. Not long and one of the employees found him a seat in a far back corner. “ What to have…” he questioned with himself splaying a finger over words on the menu. He had a little time to think at least, it seemed the little café was slightly undermanned, on busy days like this. Morte wouldn’t bother, them if nothing else merely sitting inside like this was enough for him, not to mention cafes gave of a peculiar warmth, that from what he could tell due to the nostalgia installed in Nerve gear, carried through into this game as well.

(Woohoo! My first-ever fight scene!)

Zephyr~ Tirian

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> "Of all the..." Zephyr muttered as the wolves caught wind of his scent and began to prowl toward him. He was all for realism in video games, but this was ridiculous. He had initially thought of taking out two of them in a rush, then fighting defensively against the other two, but that plan was scrapped now that they'd seen him. Stepping out from his cover, the fighter gripped both of his blades tightly, letting himself feel the surge of anger that seemed to never go away lately. "Alright you mangy fleabags, lets--" he was cut off as he saw another fighter break out of the woods, right into a group of goblins! Zephyr's world went red when he saw the little monster, but as he moved to rush over, he found the wolves blocking his path. "Die," he growled, and went on the attack.

Killing the first wolf was almost accidental; it had begun to pounce at him right before he rushed forward. Time seemed to slow for a moment as the fighter saw the mass of teeth and claws flying straight toward him. He reflexively dropped into a roll, sweeping his sword into an upward arc that caught the wolf in its unprotected belly. Zephyr came back to his feet as the wolf disintegrated behind him. "Who's next?" he roared, dropping into a fighting stance. The second-largest of the beasts rushed him, but he ignored it, dodging to the side and rushing the two wolves behind it. Unprepared for his attack, the monsters shied back, allowing him to stab one in the throat before it could recover. The other wolf was more difficult, biting and clawing at him for a moment while he defended, but he managed to slice it's lower foreleg, disabling it enough to take it down.

Unfortunately, the heat of battle made Zephyr overlook an important factor: the wolf he had rushed past earlier. He was quickly reminded, however, when its weight crashed against his back, knocking him down and leaving large clawmarks over his shoulderblades. Struggling against the weight, Zephyr rolled his body over and forced his sword between himself and the wolf's jaws. He pushed back against the fanged mouth and maneuvered his second blade into position, then stabbed it straight through the monster's chest cavity.

Relieved of the dissipating wolf's weight, Zephyr stood up slowly, moaning slightly from the phantom pain of the virtual wounds on his back, just in time to almost catch an axe to the face! Scrambling backward, Zephyr got his feet under him, and began to fight back earnestly against the goblin attacking him. The enemy was way more skilled than a beginner level one should have been, but the fighter had already faced a few of these before... before these little monsters had killed Susan! Screaming in rage, the fighter leaped toward the goblin, sweeping its weapon out of the way with one blade and sinking the other deep into its neck. He managed to hack at the dead enemy almost three more times before it finished shattering, and then looked up for the other goblins he had seen.

Looking around, Zephyr was surprised to see that the mass of goblins who had been attacking the player from before was almost gone, with only a few, desperately fighting archers and a single crippled melee fighter left. Noticing that the archers were focused on the other player, Zephyr took the chance to run forward and kill the lame goblin with a vicious double-bladed chop to the head, then continue forward toward where the other fighter was taking the archers down one by one.

Tirian~ Zephyr

Tirian glanced over for only a second as he noticed the man holding his own decently with the goblins, and the wolves honestly. It was good, at least he wouldn’t be witnessing death today if all played out right. Two goblins still remained behind charging at Zephyr from behind him. Tirian was almost to the other Archer by now, and couldn’t afford to take his eyes off the creature for a second, that was difficult with the way the other two melee goblins moved behind them. “Oi cover my rear and Ill cover yours. I have a shield so it’ll be easier for me to face archers, but the Gobs are weak to counter strikes.” He nodded once back to the nameless fighter and continued dashing the few feet he needed to and the final two remaining Archers came into view clustered together.

“Not good!” he growled gritting his teeth as he jumped forward and moved his shield to protect from the first arrow, which was all he could do. The second arrow hit him at the gut and lowered stunned him for a second. “No..t..goo..d” he grumbled swinging his sword out to cut the first Archer down, as he nearly stumbled into the next one. He capitalized on the clumsiness and launched forward aiming to tackle the goblin down to the ground; luckily it was the final archer, so punching it in the face with his shield worked nicely, as he roared out his battle cry.

Before long the Archer faded and Tirian was left with the damage he had accumulated by that well placed arrow. It stung, or rather it felt like it should have stung, but he was happy only that it hadn’t been enough to end his life. Tirian turned around and started walking over to where he’d left the other fighter, if nothing else he would be able to take a melee goblin down with another person near him especially seeing the man was decent in skill. He would of definitely preferred not having to fight anymore though, as he felt fairly drained from the arrow in his gut.

Zephyr~ Tirian

Zephyr ran toward the other player, who apparently saw him, as he yelled out something about "covering my rear" before launching himself toward the pair of archers shooting from behind a hill. Zephyr didn't really understand what he was talking about because no one was behind the guy... oh, wait. Zephyr turned around to see two melee goblins charging toward him. Feeling a sudden burst of recklessness, the fighter muttered "let's try something new" and began to run toward the pair of enemies, going faster and faster until he was in an all-out sprint. Just as he met his two opponents, the young fighter leaped into the air, clearing his enemies' horizontal slashes, and knocked down the one on the left with a flying dropkick to the face.

Zephyr landed awkwardly, but used his remaining momentum to roll to his feet. He flipped his swords into a reverse grip as he quickly moved back to the downed goblin and slammed both of them into the monster's stomach. After that, the battle was just cleanup, breaking down his last enemy's guard with a double-bladed slash and taking it out with a backhand chop. "Well," the fighter said to himself, "that was a stupid and reckless move. Better go check on that other guy."

Tirian was ecstatic to see that that the other fighter had cleared the remaining Goblins, and the field had been cleared. Tirian took a moment to sigh and relax as he slouched down against a tree, he collected the GP accumulating a good 35 GP by the time he was done and taking up a couple pieces of leather. He was still hurting from the arrow but luckily that had faded with the goblin only leaving him the damage it had caused with a dark spot on his stomach.

“Still alive?” he questioned calling only to have that confirmed when the fighter came over the hill and looked down at him. “Hell of a fight, but what were you thinking coming through this place of all? You know about the ambush design here right?” He was so confused and frustrated by the situation, and his near death experience that he didn’t even register formalities in that moment.

Looking over the top of the hill, Zephyr saw that the other player was alive, and seemed to be heading his way. He quickly began collecting the loot from his kills, just in case his new ally was feeling greedy. Finished, he made his way back up the hill to see who he was dealing with.

Zephyr eyed the stranger as he approached him. A sword-and-shielder, by the looks of him, with some pretty interesting tattoos on what he could see of his face and arms. He put up his swords, but remained alert; he had heard about some who took up PKing even after everyone knew death was permanent. The guy looked injured, but not critically. He was definitely well enough to start lecturing him. Zephyr chalked it up to stress and moved to greet the other man.

"Nice to meet you too," Zephyr said, giving the other guy a brief smile to take the sting out of his sarcasm. "What ambush? I was just looking for some wolves for exercise, then I suddenly found myself in the middle of a battlefield. That was good work out there, by the way. The name's Zephyr," he said, holding out his hand to the tattooed warrior.

Kaozuki ~ Monte and others

Kaozuki rushed around the kitchen, trying to be helpful and do her share but her need to constantly thumb through the cook book made her pretty slow no matter how fast she moved and after the umpteenth time she bumped into another person in the kitchen she was deprived of her apron and had a maid outfit stuffed in her face. Apparently it had been decided that she was having a change in line of work which was hopefully not permanent. Inwardly moaning at her failure, Kaozuki slinked off to go change. Her muddled brain might not multitask too well but she was pretty sure she was at least capable of being a waitress... and if she couldn't then the officially failed at life, both virtual, and in reality. After changing clothes, she hurried back out to the floor to attend to the customers but before that happened, her tray was filled with a dozen things, only half of which she knew how to pronounce the names of and had table numbers shouted out at rapid pace. Somehow she managed to catch most of it and hurried off, passing out orders, hoping that the few she didn't recall would come to mind. That or the people would flag her down without too much floundering on her part. Then she reminded herself that that was a big if.

Tensa Walked down from the gate with a bunch of players, about 8, and he's the ninth to join. To be honest, it's more like he followed them, party less, as he's not interested in Tag-teaming with them. The large group Went to kill bears. They seem to be the strongest, but also slow. Also, it didn't seem like a guy alone could single-handedly slay all the bears. One on one, sure, No problem. 3 on one, depends of the opponent's AI system and how it works. But about 15 on them in the wild, with probably thirty of them probably waiting to pounce if ever a player gets close enough. In the end, The fifteen were killed: Most of them played two vs. one bear, and it gotten relatively well. Beside the little guy who got his arm bitten off, and was screaming annoyingly, everything was alright. Tensa looted 3 bears, in the end, as a heavy sword and headshots, via an overhead slash was effective. The rest, were a bit fast, and Bashed the 12 others.

Tirian~ Zephyr

Tirian grumbled under his breath as he counted out the acquired gold and pocketed it into his inventory. "at least it was decent funds." he stated before pushing off of the ground. "You really hadn't done this before have you? The Designers set it up where Solo Players wouldn't try and enter the forest right off the bat to get to Dungeon A. or to the Mining spot near the lake. It’s the games way of screwing us players looking for a short cut!” He honestly couldn’t believe this guy didn’t know about it, because this very trap had claimed a good bunch of players right from the beginning.

He sighed to himself letting the conversation rest as it turned to a more civil tone. “Thanks, for the compliment, you didn’t do bad at all yourself.” He was awkward when dealing with good conversation. “Err my name is Ja.. er.. Tirian, good meeting you too, but id try avoiding this route from now on if I were you Zephyr, fighting all ten gobs and the four wolves at once is not safe for anyone, iv tried a lot of MMOs but nothing compares at base level to he AI function of this game.” He nodded then towards the dungeon in the distance towering in the trees. “you heading to Dungeon A? I only ask because your running a duel wield Blader; and if you intend to do well there you might want to get a party, that’s a dungeon to help people get ready for Archer in combat from what iv heard. B on the western plains is for melee training, and C. which people do not like going to often at all; is for dealing with magic types,.”

Tirian was hoping this would help give Zephyr some insight on how he would want to handle things from here. After all, Zephyr seemed like a good person, and seeing him die would leave a bad taste in Tirian’s mouth. “Its kind of scary when I stop to think about it though. This entire first floor, what if its one giant tutorial to what lies ahead, and in that case how many have fallen trying to face the Tower Dungeons boss, on the other hand it makes me curious too, what the actual fuck waits on floors higher than this?” If this was only the first floor, what honestly could of rested above, mediocre opponents at best and he found them terrifying at times in groups, so what would he think if they reached like. Floor 7 or 10 something like that? “So where are you heading, I have to get to the Mineral deposit and gather some Iron, im hoping to get past this base weapon crap at least today, and if Im really lucky ill be able to gather two of the three Iron Pieces I need to get myself the right shield too., are you by chance and herbalist?”

Morte had a good allotted time to pick and choose what might be good to try, but running his thin fingers over the menu he finally stopped on the least likely thing. “mmm that sounds delicious indeed.” He smiled and then found himself glancing about to find a suitable waitress, it didn’t take lon at all when he caught sight of the woman bouncing about to place items on each table. “excuse me minute, I stand in no rush but when you have the time!” he called to her a soft melodic tone of a hidden serpent hissing past his lips as he watched her carefully he would do just fine to serve him. “Don’t rush I am in no hurry.” He called once more before leaning back in his chair and remaining there for the time.

Zephyr frowned slightly as he digested the new information. This guy seemed to have a lot more information than he did; he must have studied up on the game even before it came out. Historically, partying up wasn't really his style when gaming, but it might be necessary for now.

"I haven't really been getting out much," Zephyr said, "just fighting enough to make money for food and lodging. I was planning on hunting up some herbs later; I'll watch your back if you watch mine." He smirked as he echoed Tirian's earlier words. Zephyr didn't relish the idea of teamwork-- less money for everyone-- but he wondered if there might be greater opportunities for loot and, frankly, survival if he had an ally.

Tirian was starting to feel better at least, the arrow damage had mostly subsided, luckily it hadn't done enough to really screw him up. Still this whole situation was fairly peculiar for him. "Alright, well Im here anyways and I know where the herb patches are so Ill lead you there and you can get your herbs picked out, I have to say though, its a bummer you aren't specialized in Mineral gathering it would of been really nice to not have to head to he front-lines Mine to beg for ore.. " he grumbled patting the white crown of hair on his head. "Anyways though lets see if you can't get your herbs and then we will make our way to the ore spot, but you don't need to follow me after I help you I can handle myself..." He grumbled again taking the lead towards the Herb patches. It wouldn't take long before a sprout for Red herbs and green herbs was seen. "alright there ya go it should be..Ashwaganda, Chamomile, Basil, and Ginger but be careful you know you can only try three times right?" With that he left him to it and prepared for the trap the designer had probably set up for solo Herb gatherers.

(You can pick any of those herbs to try for, follow the lists requirements and type in Bold letters how many attempts you make Ill use the generator and tell you what you get. Please type it like this.)

Trying to gather herbs was incredibly frustrating, failing twice before finally managing to get a little, but Zephyr eventually finished. Standing up, he turned to Tirian.

"So, what do you think the chances are that we won't be ambushed as soon as we move from here?" he asked. Zephyr felt like he was finally starting to understand just how sadistic the creators of this game were. In most MMOs, beginning levels are a cakewalk; basic herbs like the ones he just picked should have been way easier to gather. Moving over to where the other fighter was standing guard, he growled, "I swear, if I ever get out of this game..."

Morgana stumbled through the forest, unused to her virtual reality. She had mostly just gotton into because her friends all were, but it seemed she was on her own around here. She thought vaguely there was a village somewhere up ahead but she couldn't be sure. Even her sword seemed unusually heavy. Suddenly she paused, were those voices?

They got lucky, it seemed, no attackers tried taking them out and they were close enough now that with enough speed they could break out of the forest with ease. "I think we got lucky this time actually." Tirian stated nodding to his new found 'friend' "Lets head towards the lake, and get out of this forest while we can, who knows when enemies will respawn." he pointed to the direction of the dungeon that was only feet away and took off at a sprint, only his sword in hand with shield at his back. He really hoped he would be able to handle getting this ore, obtaining Iron material would at least help him for a little bit.

Not long and they broke through the forest landing on plain old grass again. it was nice to not have to worry about getting jumped from the shadows anymore, but he kind of guessed it would be easier the closer they came to this dungeon. After all these were like tutorials, so the designer wanted to give parties time to prepare themselves before entering. About a good run away Tirian could see the Ore plant, but what he didn't expect was a young woman player standing off on her own. Was she lost? "Hey miss is everything alright?" on another hand... what if she was a pker, what if she was dangerous. 'Are you lost?" He glanced back at Zephyr to see what he thought, but over all the girl looked blanky and if so it was pretty likely she was lost.

Kaozuki quickly passed out all the dishes she remembered the tables for then went about finding a good way to look busy while trying to remember the rest. Thankfully she was flagged down by a new customer so she hurried over while trying to figure out where the last three dishes were supposed to go to. With any luck, she'd manage to get it down and get it all out without looking like a fool.

"Can I take your order, Sir?" she asked, coming to a stop at the table and put on a smile that didn't really befit the mood of one who had just at least temporarily been duly demoted. All the while, she glanced around, trying to see which tables seemed like their were missing their order but the hustle and bustle made it a little hard to see them all clearly. It'd come to her given a little time and she could stand there looking busy while taking the order. She tapped the air and a notepad screen came up. This way she could jot the orders down with their table numbers so they wouldn't be forgotten.

Morte found himself nodding to the waitress as she scurried over to him. "Rough day?" he said with a small laugh, just as he took a drink from the glass of water. "Don't worry all that much people won't get too upset with you if they seen you trying like you are." he was confident in his words, kind even; but even now he was selfishly keeping her company to himself. "It might be a bit odd but I will actually take the largest bit of Ice Cream this place has, just surprise me if you could dear." he smiled at her flashing bright white teeth as he pushed his sub violet hair to the side and sat back in his seat again. "Don't rush either, I have no issue with lingering about. Also table 3, 9 and 11 are the tables you missed from what I seen." he winked to her elegantly as he left her back to her business, of course with such a prime rose beauty how could he not look when she turned to return to her buisness. He was good at noticing his surroundings always, a cafe haphazardly was no different it appeared.
