Name: Lucien Belvedere
Age: 24

Important Notes: Bastard Child of Queen Anne, soon to be the Crown Prince of England
Family: Odessa Belvedere (Step Mother), Edwin Belvedere (Father), Princess Anne (Half-Sister)

Biography: Lucien didn't have the ideal home life despite being disgustingly wealthy. The Belvederes have a long history for being hated throughout all of England. This is hardly surprisingly given the family's main business is money. They amassed their wealth in the shadiest of ways, tricking people into borrowing money from them and signing agreements that are hardly in their favor. Even the Crown is in debt to the Belvederes. They always collect their debts using less than respectable methods. Some of those practices include, theft, kidnapping, torture, and even marriage should the social status be high enough. Local authorities have been powerless to stop them and most of them are under Belvedere control which has allowed the family to maintain an iron grip on the noble families of England.

Every Belvedere is apart of the Crown's royal council. The reason for this being the Crown's need for money. On top of their already astonishing wealth, Belvederes have a talent for procuring money out of nothing even when it seems like the Kingdom has run out of resources. The reputation of the Belvederes is legendary for being cold-hearted and cutthroat. It is said even their spouses eventually become true Belvderes, taking after their icy demeanor. There is a saying for this family and it alone is enough to keep any noble holding his children's inheritance for dear life: A Belvedere always collects his debts.

Lucien has been no different. In fact, he has perhaps been the most diligent when it comes to collecting debts. He has had dukes stripped of their lands, turned duchesses into whores, sold nobleman's daughters to wealthy farmers, kidnapped eldest daughters, all to encourage families to pay what they owe. He has never failed, increasing the infamy of his family name. He was taught to balance books by his father and while Edwin Belvedere may uphold the cold shoulder for appearances sake, he is in fact, softer than his son Lucien who believes the family name was losing its power before his birth.

His mother Odessa always treated with disdain and claimed that he was no son of hers. While this is true, it affected Lucien greatly, giving him a slight hatred towards the woman and people. His mother, Anne taught him to play the piano and how to ballroom dance when Lucien was very little. He is aware his mother and his sister care very deeply for him. He is actually very attached to them and has been known to assist them in times of need, assuring them it is a favor, allowing him to live up to his family's saying. Eventually, the visits from his mother and sister stopped because his mother married King James Charles Stuart.

His home life became very dark as he began to learn the trade secret of the family business. Collecting an unpaid debt with interest.

Personality: Like every Belvedere, Lucien has an outwardly cold demeanor. He doesn't deal with people very well and he mostly talks down to them. While this isn't favorable in most everyday interactions, it proves effective in terms of collecting money. He has a legendary wrath, while not violent has been known to turn nobles into peasants with a flick of his quill. He will collect all his family is owed before his body is dead and buried at almost any cost. When one looks into Lucien's dark past, they will find he's kidnapped, tortured, and done away with many of the people unwilling to pay him.

Despite this, he has a soft spot for dainty things. It may seem contradictory, but he has a strong desire to protect those he deems innocent from harm, even if the harm is himself. This fact is only known by his mother and sister. Lucien also deals with loneliness in the form of a Persona known as the Masked Pianist, a piano protege who is famous for his spontaneous performances throughout London. As the Masked Pianist, Lucien is known to be happy, free from the ties of his family name and free to be loved, despite being loved only for his talent. His piano performances have an astonishing ability to make people cry, as his music emanates strong feelings of sadness and loneliness. It is a testament to how he truly feels.

"If I you think me a monster, then I will show you a monster."

Name: Lienna de Lavierre

Alias: The Dark Child

Affiliation: Syndicate of Cretus

Starting Class: Commoner

Status: Heiress to Lavierre Enterprises and the LdL Bank

Crest: None

Age: 15

Date of Birth: Day 31 of Twilight Moon (Eventide)

Appearance Information: Lienna is a short girl, standing at 147 centimeters tall, weighing about 45kg. She's obsessed with sweet things and all things cute or frilly. She has a bit of doe-eyed stare that can be a little creepy sometimes and it's rather difficult to tell what she's really thinking. She is often seen in frilly dresses with a black or white bow in her hair. On occasion she will wear a tiara because of her strong desire to be a princess.

She carries a teddy bear around that has a picture of her deceased sister. She is very protective of it. She always looks a little forlorn as if something is deeply troubling her.

Her skin is unusually pale and she sun burns easily. She carries a parasol in all kinds of weather, and wears gloves to cover up her hands if it's particularly sunny outside.

Personality: Lienna has outward kind and polite mannerisms. She can almost always be seen smiling. She seems very distant when she speaks and always refers to people by their last names. She is afraid of intimacy because of her family's business practices which have a habit of turning former friends into enemies or bitter rivals. She is very jaded towards the idea of death stating that if attempts were made on her life, she wouldn't be surprised. No one likes to be in debt to a Lavierre.

She's wise when it comes to money, believing there are few places money can't get you. She gets heated when people don't keep their promises or make promises they know they can't keep. As such, Lienna avoids making any promises if there is a possibility of her being unable to follow through. She pretends like she doesn't have to try in front of others, but she trains often in the dead of night to near exhaustion to keep up with her peers who bear crests.

She trains with a bow and narrow tipped sword, despite her parents' encouragement to pursue magic. Lienna believes that without a crest she will be unable to perform magic like someone with a crest might. However, she does have a strong interest in studying it. She can almost always be seen studying magic or reading up on swordsmen who used magic.

Personal History: Lienna was born Lienna de Lavierre. She grew up in manor with servants to provide her every need. She had a twin sister who passed away when she was fourteen, but Lienna never found out why and she wasn't allowed to ask. Her father doted on her as the crown jewel of his life and her mother insisted she was the best child a woman could ask for. They spoke nothing of her sister after death. Lienna was often studying. Her parents hired a Warlock to teach her magic despite her lack of enthusiasm when it came to actually performing it. Eventually, her parents caved in and allowed her to study archery and swordsmanship. She stated it was one thing she didn't need a crest to be skilled at.

She learned of her family business practice when she was ten. The family reputation was always about expanding wealth and accumulating as much as possible. There are many families who are in debt to the Lavierre's and through this, the Lavierre family controls certain people, though it's never been specified as to whom. The so-called shady methods of her family's business is infamous where she grew up and as a result, Lienna is used to people scowling at her or calling her names.

Her parents heard about Irinduil Monastery through some friends in their inner circle. They decided sending Lienna there would be the best place for her to improve her skills and perhaps encourage her to pursue magic. They also want their daughter to find an ideal husband, a man who can increase their already significant wealth.

  • Basics:
    Full Name: Mnyama (NEE-yah-mah)
    His name means beast

    Nickname: I wouldn't if I were you.

Age: 25 (in human years, 300 in Manticore years)

    Identity: Alpha Male

    Orientation: Straight

Abilities: Poison Stinger, Superhuman Strength, Breathes Fire, Flight

Status: If his old pride were still here, he'd be the king of it. Now he has been reduced to a mere bodyguard.

Appearance: Mnyama is a rare breed of Manticore. He possesses a dragon tale tipped with a scorpion spike. His horns are large even for a Manticore, extending two feet out in length. He has the head and body of a lion, with large leathery wings that allow him the ability of flight. His scorpion tale is equipped with poisonous venom that could kill a full grown human twenty times over with just a single strike and dose of venom. The tale moves at lightning fast speeds and is considered the most dangerous weapon of all manticores. He has sharp teeth and claws, used for rendering flesh and tearing apart anything they come into contact with. On all fours, the Manticore stands at 5'8. His mane is his proudest feature.

Eye Color: Mnyama's eyes are a terrifying and piercing electric blue.

Skin Color: His fur is the color of fresh wheat while his tail is a brick red. The scorpion tipped end is completely black.

Short Description: For a Manticore, Mnyama would be considered the best of the best. He's bigger than most of his kind. He possesses inhuman strength and once stood proud as a majestic king. He can still hear the echoes of his people, "King Mnyama" they called him. He had a harem of lioness manticores as was typical and he bore many children who never got a chance to see their adulthood. He has a birthmark on his forehead where a patch of fur is permanently stained white. It is in the shape of a crescent moon.

Personality: Mnyama is a proud creature. He has a strong aversion to humans and he can be quite cold to them. However, he's never voiced his hatred, not wanting to punish his pride further. He has a kingly aura to him and takes each job he is assigned seriously. He is not much for words, preferring to remain silent, like a quiet stalker in the night. He always seems to be lost in thought and can be aloof. He takes a logical approach to things, leaving little room for emotions to get in the way. He's been alive for a long time and he's seen enough to know what happens when you let them take over for too long. He acts as a King would showing his emotions only when he is alone and being the leader everyone needs him to be.

He is plagued by visions of his past and can lash out when he feels threatened, leading to tragic consequences. It is advised one take extreme caution when interacting with Mnyama as his kind is considered one of the most dangerous creatures in existence. It should also be noted he is aggressive around mating season and should be kept monitored during those times.

    Family: Kamaria (mate/deceased), Badru (son/deceased), Kesi (daughter/deceased), Zahara (daughter/deceased)

  • Mnyama approached right on cue. The soft pads on his feet made him as silent as a ghost. His tail almost scraped the ground on the floor beneath him. He'd been trained on human etiquette. As a former king himself, he wasn't too keen on bowing, so he didn't. He was hoping they would attribute it to his lack of knowledge on their customs. After all, he was here to protect her, not serve her every whim. He observed her, his eyes seeing all, beginning at her face, then her body. She was tiny compared to him. He could have torn her to shreds in mere seconds or one sting of his tail and that would be that. He shouldn't be thinking of things like that in their presence.

He said nothing. He just looked onward, head held high as if he was trying to keep what dignity remained of his people in tact. His body language said enough. He was only here to do a job and nothing more. There was no mistaking why Nobregas had chosen him as the princess's bodyguard. No one would dare challenge a fully grown manticore, let alone risk their lives by challenging one unprepared. Lions, dragons, and scorpions were dangerous enough on their own, but together as one entity... It didn't take a genius to know what they were capable of.

Mnyama hadn't had a choice in this matter. When Nobregas had found him, he was still picking up what little remained of his pride. The lioness were nearly all dead or sick, the cubs were all dead. He'd been afraid to mate with the females because he was afraid he'd lose them and the child at birth. He was the only one in a good enough condition to restore their once former glory. When he was called upon to be the princess's personal bodyguard, there was no way he could decline despite the condition of his people. Another male would have to step up and lead in his stead, but he knew they would not last long, not without food, or water. It pained him to think about.

He could still remember the dead bodies of his family scattered on the plains of territory he'd once ruled. Everything he once knew had been taken from him. And here he was, serving the very species that had been responsible.

The silence was eventually uncustomary and it was through sheer discomfort that Mnyama did speak, "I am called Mnyama, princess Eshe Nerezza Ennecus."

Once, King of the Manticores. He thought bitterly.

Character A is a fishing enthusiast. He/She fish throughout summer and autumn hoping to catch the legendary flying fish. It only appears every year on the same day in autumn. According to legend, if one is pure of heart, the fish will reveal itself, but if there is corruption, the fish will not appear. The flying fish has not been seen in Character A's village for a long time. His/Her village is constantly tormented by the kingdom's men who collect more than just taxes, leaving the village to fight for more than money among themselves. Thievery is common.

Character B appears in the village one day, discovered by Character A. Character A wants to protect Character B from the corruption of his/her village. Character B is a magical being with the ability to see into the hearts of others and know if one is pure of heart or full of malicious intent. Character B is introduced to Character A's family who has been struggling to stay afloat off of Character A's income as a fisher.

Character B eventually reveals that there are others like them, far away. There, the flying fish are abundant and have scales made out of precious metals like silver, gold, and even platinum. Character A, determined to catch a flying fish makes the declaration that he/she will return Character B back to his/her homeland. The journey is long and many seek to harm Character B because of what he/she is. Will Character A and Character B be able to make to Character B's village without spreading the corruption?

The list is by no means mandatory, but as far as driving the plot goes, these might be some ideas. I will not do FxF pairings. Sorry in advance. However this plot can be MxM or FxM. You will also be picking your mythical creature. Be whatever you want, just nothing evil... obviously.

Possible Characters:

A Noble Ransom [FANFIC]

DISCLAIMER: Uh, I have no idea where I'm going with this. I'm just kind of doing this thing for fun. I write a lot of fanfiction for my own RPs. If someone happens to come across this... I hope they enjoy it... I guess.

The day had come. By midday, he would be the King of England. It had been no small feat. The people he'd blackmailed, the people who owed him, the people who needed him, the people he'd killed, none of them would be able to reach him now. Or at least, not without difficult. Lucien was not naive enough to believe that he was untouchable. That was the mistake many kings made, believing themselves unreachable and untouchable. There were always people like Lucien looking to prove them wrong. The bishop began the ceremony and every one within the castle grew silent. The current king sat expressionlessly, never moving his gaze away from Lucien.

Lucien knew better than anyone how much the king was hating this. He would have reveled in this moment had time not been a continuous force. Anyone watching this now would know that it should have been Anne who was the one taking over the throne. However, the truth of the matter was, Lucien cashed in the debt the crown owed him. The crown owed the Belvedere's hundreds of thousands of pounds. He promised he would make that debt go away if Anne promised to step down and allowed Lucien to take the throne. Of course, it was only the Queen regent who knew that. Now there was going to be a new queen as well. Lucien had succeeded on taking the most powerful spot in all of England.

Yes, he had plotted and snaked his way into the top, but that was what the Belvederes were known for besides debt collecting. After some more words and more meaningless promises, the crown was moved from King James's head and placed onto Lucien's. When he stood up, the crowd clapped nervously as they welcomed their new king. King Lucien...

Ferdinand was waiting in the crowd next to his betrothed. He was perhaps the second most displeased with Lucien becoming King. In Ferdinand's eyes, Lucien had taken everything from him, the crown, the woman of his dreams, his honor. That smug bastard didn't deserve the power he was getting, but Ferdinand had his own power now. He would take Lucien down himself if he had to. He would even make June love him. He would make her see the truth, see reason. Lucien was a demon in disguise!

"Ferdinand, is everything okay?" Anne placed her hand over his. Ferdinand's grip had grown rather tight for some reason.

Ferdinand loosened his grip, "Yes. Everything is fine. Don't worry."

He began to lovingly and delicately pet Anne's hand. He was truly sorry for possibly having hurt her. Just the thought of Lucien made him angry these days. When the coronation was over, a feast was held. The former King James was not present as he was feeling unwell. Ferdinand was half tempted to make the same excuse, but he was determined to look his enemy in the face.

The castle served many delicious dishes, including a roasted duck that was perfectly tender. Lucien and June laughed together after Lucien had made a soft joke. Ferdinand had to admit, the man had charisma and he knew better than anyone how dangerous that was.

"Won't you play the piano for us?" June asked him.

Lucien smiled down at her. It was so tender and genuine that Ferdinand almost believed it was real himself. He watched as Lucien got up from his seat and sat down to play at the piano. It was such sweet and beautiful music. It didn't match the man who played it at all. The crowd clapped when he finished his song and June was just enamored with her soon to be husband. Lucien leaned down to place a kiss on June's cheek. Ferdinand didn't think he could bear to watch another moment and he too was on his way out. There was a coup to plan.

Lucien got himself out of bed. He didn't feel any different despite the fact that he now held the title of King. He still felt like he was inside a dream. He looked over at June. She looked so peaceful when she was sleeping. Admittedly, his first memory of her sleeping was due to his own meddling. He'd kidnapped her and he wasn't sure if he would ever be able to atone for that. He felt like he could spend a life time trying to right that wrong and it still wouldn't be enough. He was truly sorry for that. Even worse now was that he would have to be both the man everyone believed him to be and the man June would eventually come to love.

He leaned down to place a kiss on her cheek. She still smelled of the soap from her bath the night before. Her lips looked so soft. He couldn't count the number of times he'd imagined kissing them. And doing more than that. He smirked, and he'd also threatened to do much more. Then his heart leapt as he realized he would in fact, be doing more tonight.

As Lucien was lost in his own thoughts, he hadn't notice June wake up. Not until she leaned up and hastily placed a kiss on his cheek as well. It shocked him. He brought her in close, holding her near his chest.

"Today's the day," he whispered, running a hand through her hair, "Are you ready to be June Belvedere?"

He loved the way it sounded. That would make it official. She would bear his name. The entire world would know who dared to have her. No one else would be able to lay claim. Especially not that damned duke.

June's heart skipped a beat. Somehow, when he said it, it sounded more real. This was happening. She was marrying a Belvedere. Not many women would be happy to trade places with her and yet, she found she was happy about the arrangement. She was happy with Lucien. She couldn't have imagined this or the fact that after today she would also be a queen... Lucien's queen.

"I'm ready to be yours."

Lucien couldn't stop himself. The way she said it so matter of factly, made his heart stutter, "You be careful with your words. I'm still a man you know. As king, I could have you if I wanted."

June's cheeks flushed with color as she suddenly found herself underneath Lucien and at his mercy, "You wouldn't."

"Wouldn't I?" He said hotly in her ear.

The Land of Mythic Beasts

Here you stand, on your own
A lonely kid in a dangerous world
The world is big and the enemies are strange
Make some friends and dare to survive
Here you stand, in the land of beasts

Plot:

Your character has found themselves stranded on their own in a world where mythical beasts roam the land. The shelters are hidden somewhere underground, but you have no idea where to start looking. The goal is to survive and find other survivors. The plot is what you make it, but the world is very dangerous. What is your character searching for? What is their fate? What kind of friends will they make? It's all up to you in the Land of Mythic Beasts.

The World:

It's the year 2320. It's been overrun by creatures, both sentient and beast like. Some have come to look like the mythical creatures we've come to know in fairy tales, like dragons. Other creatures go as far as our imagination will carry us. The majority of things in this world are very capable of killing you. Many things would like to eat you. But some things would like to help you. Your characters must scavenge for food constantly. Search through abandoned convenient stores, supermarkets, malls... but be careful. You never know just what kind of creature has made its den in there.

Races:

Human is a loose term now. It now means any sentient humanoid being. This is because there are many mutations that may not be reflective of humans many many years ago. For simplicity sake, you could be a mermaid, some kind of lizard or amphibious breed. The list goes on.

Important Information:

Because there is so much freedom here, I would recommend thinking carefully about your character. This RP ironically, doesn't require you to interact with other members of the RP. You could take this as an opportunity to improve your writing (but please don't flood the RP with your own posts.) If you become inactive (don't post for two weeks without communication) worry not, as I'll write your character out according to their goals and desires. You may also return at any time.

Something to keep in mind, you don't necessarily have to wait for someone to respond to you. If you're impatient, you can always write your character off the scene and move on. Besides, no one wants to be standing in one place for too long anyways.

Common Enemies:

Sand Worms - Common in deserts. They live underground and use vibrations in the earth to detect prey. They are not able to communicate. AKA they are not sentient and are predators.
