Name: Daemon L'awin /
Lavenderwind
Age: 20 (Years in outside world) /
100 (Estimated)
Gender: Male
Race: Human /
Flower Fairy
Magic Source: Sorcery, "Pact"
Personality:
A cheerful, slightly mischievous, and playful person at first glance, Daemon seems airheaded and distracted most of the time. He acts with child-like innocence on most occasions, but exhibits surprising clarity and also moral judgments that can range from questionable to straight-up morbid. A bit of a consummate liar due to the nature of his abilities, though he has never seen lying as something to be considered wrong.
Those who do not know about his true origins often questions his eccentricities, though his demeanor is unusual even for his people. Unlike most fairies, Daemon has a penchant for existential crises and is soaked in a sense of unknown melancholy. He has a passion for travel, study, and general soul searching, being more or less absorbed in those matters. Shown to be genuinely fascinated by small things like artificer trinkets or just scented crayons, but unfazed by much more extraordinary circumstances. He is often considered by others to "lack common sense", but he has spent sufficient years in the outside world to understand the facts of life, he simply fails to understand the extra meanings and associations that people attribute to those facts.
Sometimes he tries to act aloof or intimidating, but it usually breaks down quickly when he gets distracted. He sometimes says uncharacteristic things, though it's quite obvious it's an act.
History:
Born from a strange lavender plant on a particularly windy day, Lavenderwind was considered a genius illusionist even within fairies. He was the first to propose using the memories of outsiders against them, which really upped the efficiency (and mortality rate) of dealing with them. But as the endless days passed by, he grew curious about the outside world, and longed to find out why outsiders react in ways they do to his illusions.
The outside world was big and confusing, disguising himself as a young human mage, the fairy stumbled through bit by bit, doing odd jobs that he doesn't quite understand with his illusionary spells. One of such jobs was being the security of a strange summoning, for a cult that wanted to ascend one of their members to a pact mage. The entity summoned, a demon named Valefar, was a fallen noble who longed to return to power. Taking the opportunity to scan the area, Valefar found the strongest magical presence in the area to be his new vessel. The vessel in question seemed a bit confused, but agreed to the pact surprisingly easily.
A few moments later, Valefar had realized he may have made a mistake. This "vessel" in question was no human, but a fairy in disguise. The origin of fairies was somewhat divine, and it clashes hard with demonic magic, this made their pact "deficient". He couldn't give his powers to this fairy, or manifest using their body. Lavenderwind, now going as Daemon, didn't really understand the situation at the time, though he awkwardly promised to help Valefar solve his problems.
And thus, the demon acted as a mentor who taught the fairy facts about the outside world, often sighing and getting frustrated by the other's eccentricities. They had long conversations, from childish arguments to surprisingly serious debates about life, death, people, magic, society, and everything else. Daemon forwent his promise, every year the two participated in the Grand Wizard Games, hoping that the grand prize would contain something to set Valefar free. While he is unable to offer any real power, a demon's cynical and manipulative outlook on humanity helped Daemon to learn how to conjure truly terrifying illusions, which did make him stronger.
Years went by, and even after learning about pacts, demons, magic, and everything else, Daemon still treated Valefar the same: as a friend, with unconditional trust and affection. This deeply confused the demon, who was not used to any "vessel" acting as such, and after teaching someone so clueless about the world so thoroughly, he felt that perhaps he changed as well. 20 years after they met, Daemon found a way to "alter" pacts, and decided that this could help set Valefar free. But Valefar refused, instead, he asked for something else: a symbiosis pact.
Daemon naturally agreed, to the new pact, and his friend's plan. Valefar decided to abandon his noble titles and demonic power so he could leave the Nether Realm, and live free from the hierarchy of deities and prejudice from humanity. He borrowed Daemon's illusionary abilities to sneak into the mortal world, but one fairy's skills were not nearly enough to get past the preying eyes. Labeled as traitor and deserter by greater demons and an unwanted invader by great mages, Valefar was sealed away by many powerful forces in the depth of the demons' realm.
This was the first time the carefree fairy had experienced something soul-shattering. Daemon wondered why that his best friend and the kindest person he's ever known was locked away for simply wanting to live a life like everyone else. He even began to question his own abilities, as it was the first time his illusions were shattered completely by greater forces. Eventually, Daemon made a decision: he would become the strongest illusionist who can deceive anyone from any realm, and save his friend from his underserved punishment.
And thus, the fairy set out to the Grand Wizard Games again, this time alone.

Illusionary Body: Daemon is disguised as a human almost constantly, his human body is a carefully crafted illusion that can deceive the eyes of most. He can dispel and reconstruct the illusion freely, making effects like flight and short distance teleportation. Daemon's real body is often inside of his illusionary body, but not always. If his true body has taken too much damage or he is drained of mana, the illusionary body will either waver or completely dispel.
Formed Illusion: Formed illusions are illusions that are "real", they are illusions with such a heavy density of mana within them that they are capable of affecting the physical world. This is most often used when someone comes into direct contact with Daemon's illusionary body, but can be used for basic physical combat with his staff. This is one of the more draining techniques.
Fragments of the Living: These are minor illusions that can deceive the eye, they are crafted from the caster's imaginations and may be seen through. It is quite high maintenance and requires constant construction and deconstruction.
Fragments of the Journey: A low maintenance illusionary technique that recreates scenes from Daemon's memories.
Sensory Scramble: A low maintenance but highly mentally draining ability, it interchanges the senses of all sentient beings in a certain range for a moment. Due to the amount of information processing required, it usually only lasts a few seconds.
Lavender Mirage ★ Space of Fragmented Memories: Puts any targets into a mirage of Daemon's space of fragmented memories, though unlike other illusions, the target must be willing for it to take effect. The space manifests as an endless field of lavender with a clear sky, and a river and village that never seem to get closer no matter how much one moves. Daemon uses to talk "face to face" with Valefar and doesn't really see a combat usage, but this is actually a defensive spell against enemy illusions and mental based attacks. Those whose minds are in the space are protected from any attacks on the psyche.

- Like other fairies, he is able to fly, but only as fast as any normal running person and high as building tops without platforms to rest on.
