Cassie raised an eyebrow as he left before she realized what was happening. She blushed quickly and nodded her head in understanding as he left, keeping her gaze on the floor so she wouldn't see anything. She fumbled around with her shirt as she waited for him to come back and as she heard him entering she looked up and her jaw nearly dropped. He certainly was very handsome as a person, she'd never have guessed him to be such a looker when he changed into a dog of all things.

She stood up quickly as he got closer, taking notice that he was a good foot taller than her. She smiled a bit at his shirt, finding it quite ironic in fact and slowly reached out her hand to shake his, her's easily being comsumed by his much larger hand.

"Heh, yeah it is...It's very nice to meet you." She said softly.

Fido grinned at the girl as she replied and they shook hands. She was speaking a little quieter now for some reason, and he couldn't really understand but he tried to make it a relaxed situation so that she wouldn't feel threatened or weirded-out.

Now that he was human again, he cleaned up the shreds of clothing that he had left on the floor, sighing as he inspected the tie, then ruefully tossed it into the trash, laughing a little as he did so. "I do apologize, though, to how we had to meet..... I suppose you probably think of me as a freak now, or something to that nature." He laughed a little, trying to think of any way to rectify the... well... weirdness of the situation.

"So... You know a good deal about me now, so who are you, Cassie McCarton? Tell me a little about yourself." He prodded a little as he dug through another box, finding a small bottle of what appeared to be champagne, and took it to the refrigerator where he had stashed a couple of glasses. Glasses wouldn't take as long as the champagne to cool, and he actually preferred to have the glasses chilled instead of the alcohol. Just another oddity that made him who he was, he supposed.

"Care to join me? Only one glass. I don't really approve of drinking, but it is a big thing to move into a new place.... We're both under-age, I'm guessing, but hell, one drink wouldn't hurt. Unless you're afraid of the big bad wolf who's your neighbor now." He grinned slightly.

Cassie smiled a little more as she watched him throw away his now ruined clothing. "Um...It's okay, I mean you couldn't really help it right? I understand in that case. I don't think you're weird either...I mean, I think it's sort of interesting...I've only ever heard of werewolves in books and such so meeting a real one is kind of cool." She said, honestly meaning every word.

No one her age really cared about differeces, be them racial or sexual or any other thing. Everone just did their own thing and didn't care. To her, him being a werewolf was just another thing, just something that just made him a little different, but otherwise he was just another person. When he asked about her she felt a bit nervous but quickly shoved it aside...This was her chance to get rid of her anti-social behavior and she was going to take it.

"Well...I'm still in highschool...I'll graduatee next year....I also work as a pastry chef from my apartment after school, I'm saving up for culinary school...."

She she spoke she watched him dig through the box and pull out the alcohol, she was surprised to see that he was getting glasses and got a little worried as he offered the drink. However when he mentioned he was also underaged she didn't feel to bad...it would have been awkward to drink with someone older. She blushed a little bit when he tease her about being scared. She pouted slightly before she defended herself.

"I'm not scared! I'll have a drink!" She said, a little louder as if she was trying to prove she could handle it.

Fido grinned slightly as the girl talked about her goals, and mentally made a note to never forget those cookies. He almost wanted to compliment her again, but let it be. He smirked as she agreed to have a drink, and got a towel before uncorking the bottle, there was a slight hissing noise and he was quick to put the bottle over one of the glasses, a moment before a fountain of foam poured out from the bottle, followed by more of the bubbling liquid. He gave them each a nice amount, not too much. He wasn't interested in having more than one glass, or finishing the bottle, for that matter.

Fido walked back over to Cassie and handed her one of the glasses before gesturing to the couch and then led her over to it, sitting down.

"So, that was you, I thought I smelled more than cookies cooking." He stated before taking a sip from his glass, "I have to say, the tenants of this apartment have it good. They get to smell your cooking all the time... how can you be upset or anything but happy when you smell a cake or a dessert cooking?" He explained before he leaned back in the couch, relaxing.

"So.... Cassie.... It's Friday, why aren't you out partying?" He finally asked, smirking. The girl was interesting, to say the least.

Cassie took the glass and joined him on the couch, sitting so that her feet were tucked under her butt, a habit that she had developed over the years of being lazy. She took a sip quietly and blushed a little as he complimented her again. She smiled a bit and couldn't help but agree with his statement, she was always happy when she baked, her apartment smelled wonderful and she would always get to taste test her creations. When he asked why she wasn't out though she looked into her glass and thought for a moment.

"Well....I'm sort of anti-social...I have friends at school, but i'm never one to come up with plans or anything, and i'm sort of quiet too so my friends sometimes don't think of inviting me places, I wouldn't really want to go anyway, parties always get out of control and someone gets hurt...I'd rather not get invovled in that." She said as she took another sip.

Fido listened to Cassie quietly for a moment before grinning widely. He understood that.

She was an interesting little neighbor to run across.

"There's nothing wrong with being anti-social. Perhaps it doesn't count as much, coming from me, but it's understandable to be anti-social in some cases. Though.... I do think that you can manage to probably hang out with people outside of school every once in a while... Hell, I know if I could go back to that age.... that's what I'd do..." He explained, grinning a little at her.

"As it is, though, I'm happy with the amount of socialization that I've gotten in my life... Hell, I owe a good friend of mine for the job I have now.... He used to live in the same kinda area I used to... he got sick of seeing me toil my life away there and talked his boss into giving me a job... though, I'm pretty sure that they are NOT happy with me disappearing some days, or leaving work early... or just... not knowing what to d-" Fido was cut off by a loud ring, a cellphone on the kitchen counter buzzed and vibrated. He held up a finger to gesture that he needed a moment, and went to retrieve the phone. As he flipped it open, it was obvious that the person on the other end was yelling. Fido quickly walked into another room, closing the door behind him as it seemed like voices raised.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there again! I can't help it, man! I can't explain it!" Fido shouted after some time, Then his voice became hushed again, unable to be heard. There was a loud thump after a few moments, Fido had punched one of the walls. "Look, I'll explain it to you at some point! I can't right now! I owe you, man, but this is serious!" He yelled, and then suddenly there was a thumping sound from bellow, like one of the tenants below them was hitting their ceiling with a broom or something to let them know to keep it down.

Moments later, Fido was walking back out of the room, looking a little less happy than he had, but his smile returned in a moment.

"The business world is filled with cutthroats, Cassie, so enjoy your childhood. Have some fun before you have to work to support yourself." He advised and then picked up his drink again and slammed down the rest of it. He then exhaled heavily, shaking his head.

"I've known that man for over five years... but I just don't think he would be able to take it if I told him what was wrong with me..." He grinned, joking to try and cover his stress. He poured himself another glass and sipped at it slowly, returning to the couch. His hair was tousled, like he had been running his hands through it one too many times, or pulling at it. He looked over at Cassie and grinned.

"I'm prolly going to be busy all week now for that little glitch. If I'm not running into mishaps, my butt has to be in the office... Buuuuuut, since you're nice, and since you're my neighbor, if you need a place to get away from anything, you can stay here." He grinned. "Besides, I have a couple of things coming here tomorrow, and I'm going to be gone, I need someone to sign for them." He explained before laughing. He took another sip and then nibbled on another cookie.

"So why do you wanna be a pastry chef? Where'd that come from?" He asked finally.

Cassie listened to him politely, smiling a bit as he said he understood, not many people did. They would give her a weird look before brushing off her explination and moving on with another topic. When the phone rang though her eyes drifted to it a moment before watching him pick it up. She could hear whoever was yelling on the other line, guessing it to be his friend or boss being mad about him not being there. She was glad that he left to a different room, she'd have a hard time trying not to listen in. It didn't seem to matter though since he started to yell as well, making her jump a bit in surprise. She sipped her drink awkwardly, when he came back, pretending not to have heard anything.

She watched him silently, observing him guld down the rest of his drink and take another. She nodded her head as he spoke, not wanting to invoke any more yelling or anything...He had a very intimidating voice in her opinion. She smiled a bit at his offer though, a change of space would be nice to her, and she wouldn't mind signing for the packages, she liked to be helpful. When he asked her why she couldn't help but look at the ceiling, her face red...It was such a personal question to her...though it really shouldn't be.

"When I was little...My mom would bake when she was home, she was always working so it was a rare treat for us to be together...Anyway, she'd bake a cake or browies and we'd decorate them together before we ate...As I got older that happened less and less...so I figured if I could do the baking...then me and mom could do it again some day..." She said.

Fido watched as Cassie grew red from his question, and then as she explained, he listened quietly, wanting to understand that feeling.

Wanting to understand how it felt to cook with your mother. Or to cook to try and go towards one goal of trying to be close to one's mother. It was a little perplexing to him. He wanted to understand.... he just couldn't.

"I wish I could understand.... None of the families I lived with... were very close... Hell, most of them, we ate dinner in different rooms, alone..." He explained, offering a small smile.

Fido then looked up at Cassie and looked at the time before grinning. "So how long do you just cook alone in your place? I mean... You gotta get lonely at some point..." He stated, tilting his head a little.

He grabbed another cookie and sipped a little more of the champagne.

"Where's your father?.... I don't mean to pry... but it does seem interesting from my angle to see a person like you in your circumstances..." He admitted quietly, then poured a slight more into Cassie's glass, more of a manner than a want to get her drunk.

Cassie nodded her head in a small thank you as he poured more in her glass, wanting to be polite. She felt kind of bad for him, at least she had gotten to eat with her mother once in awhile, he never had the chance. She smiled a bit at his question about her cooking all the time.

"I do it as soon as I got home until I go to bed...That is if I have any orders...I try to finish a project before I start a knew one so I am always busy...so busy that I don't really feel lonely." She said.

When he asked about her father she went quiet. She didn't really much to say on that subject, she never knew the man. Her mother spoke about him as if he was perfect though, meaning that he definately had the right stuff to make her mother happy...

"He...died before I was born...I never knew him at all..." She mumbled as she took a rather big drink of the champagne in her glass.

Fido smiled as she talked about how she cooked. She didn't say much until prodded, but it definitely was no issue... It was.... concise.

He liked it.

And then after the question of her father... she went silent.

He almost wanted to take the question back and move on to a different topic since that question was obviously a little hard to answer, and maybe he didn't deserve to know the answer just yet, but then she talked... a little, but it was enough to tell that it definitely wasn't something she was going to want to go on about for a while...

"I'm sorry to hear that... I'm sure he would be proud of you if he saw you right now..." He stated quietly, putting a hand on her shoulder and giving it a small squeeze, more or less for comfort, not knowing what else he could do for her.

He decided to change the subject to something... a little more light-hearted.

"So", Fido began, "You say you're anti-social..... so... how did this happen? I'm not a specialist on them, but normally, they don't bake cookies, go to someone's house and upon finding that they are not home, poke their head in further and play with strange dogs that they don't know." He stated, grinning at her.

Cassie smiled as she comforted her a bit, she wasn't really sad, she just didn't have much to say about a man she barely knew. He had been in her life through photo's and her father's parents who would babysit her when mom worked late. She was sad that she never got to meet him though...the only man that ever made her mother truely happy. She would have boyfirends or "company" when she had the chance between raising Cassie and working, but they were never very serious, she'd always go back to loving and thinking of her father.

Cassie giggled nervously a bit as he asked about how she ended up here.

"Well, my mother hates it when I laze about like I usually do, she wants me to be more social. So she usually pushes me to be the welcoming commitiy for the apartment building. She hadn't asked me to do it today though, I thought that I might as well get it done so she wouldn't harrass me when she got home...I also have a soft spot for animals..." She said, mumbling teh last part.

Fido smiled at the sound of Cassie's giggles, feeling a little more relaxed now that she had that distant look out of her eyes. It had worried him for a moment that 'fun time' might be over for tonight. He took another sip of his drink before taking a breath. It was odd to hang out with a girl that was three years younger than him.... most times back where he used to live, the older you got, the more idiotic the kids got. But... this one didn't seem like she was looking for a reason to complain, and she certainly wasn't stupid. Though, he thought it was an odd turn of events. He was sitting here, missed work, turned into his wolf form, and after all of that, he was sitting here on the couch with Cassie.

It was an interesting turn of events for him.

So he sat there a little silent for a bit, just enjoying the company and the relaxation before he finally spoke again.

"So, you have a weakness for animals and your mother forces you to be, GASP, SOCIAL!" He joked loudly, grinning at Cassie, then continued. "So what do you usually do in school?" He asked, interested in what she might have to say.

Cassie blushed and giggled a little more as he teased her and she quickly reached out to bat at his arm, not trying to hurt him. She's never known someone older than her that was this much fun, they were always so stiff and called you 'kid' or some other demeaning term. When he asked about school she took a quick sip of her drink and shuffled a bit in her seat, turning so that she was completely facing him, one side leaning on the back of the couch as she slipped her hands under her butt to warm them after having been holding on to the cool glass for so long.

"Not much, just the basics....I'm ahead in my credits so I'll proabaly take a lazy year when I'm a senior, that or I'll go for early release and only have to go for my manditory courses. I don't have a culinary course, it's really fun accept that I have to work in a team...most people won't listen to me because I'm sort of soft spoken but I can usually get my friend who is in the same as me to rally the troops and get them to listen to me..." She said as she looked at him, her eyes curious. "What about you? What do you do at your job?"

Fido laughed as Cassie batted at him, really enjoying the time that they were spending together. He watched as she shifted in her position and turned to face him.

He listened to her quietly as she spoke about what what she did during classes, he broke a smile and felt as though he had properly judged her, that she was smart, she just wasn't very talkative. He was quite content to just sit and listen to her talk as she explained herself.

Then she asked him what he did.

Ooooooh boy.

"I'm a representative of.... a company." He said simply, knocking back the rest of his glass. He did not really like talking about his job, good pay or not, it was a job that he knew wouldn't be conducive to this conversation. "It's a boring desk job... I sit and stare at the clock all day in between taking orders and talking to other workers and my bosses." He explained quietly, pouring himself another glass of champagne.

"Oh...I see." She said awkwardly, it was obvious that he didn't like to talk about his job.

She looked down at her lap for a second, trying to think of something else to ask, she couldn't just keep rattling on about herself the whole time, she'd eventually run out of things to say. She looked back up at him as she reached out a hand for her drink and took a small sip before setting back down.

"Do you have a hobby? Something you like to do outside of work?" She asked as she smiled at him, now that was something that he might actually tell her about.

Fido smiled widely at Cassie's question, actually excited to answer that one. He sipped at his glass before moving to answer her, turning on the couch, curling a leg up under himself to face her entirely.

"I actually really like to run when I'm not working, or to play sports... I even play video games, but I'm not that good at them." He laughed before he continued, "I love going to parties and exploring places, and just driving around.... My favorite time of night is when it's in the wee hours, like three or four, when nearly no one is on the road... I love just driving out to this one spot and just looking up at the night sky." He explained before taking another sip of his drink.

"If we weren't drinking, I'd drive you out there right now to show you.... though... it's too early right now... maybe during a weekday if you can one day... If you're not too busy being a student." He commented to Cassie while taking a another drink of the champagne

"Hmmm, I think I actually have a bunch of my game systems in that box over there... For some reason people kept giving me game systems... so I have a wii, a playstation 3, and an xbox." He commented, laughing more.

"That's interesting, you must be a really active person with hobbies like that...I'd take the offer on the drive also if we hadn't been drinking." She said, smiling a bit.

She loved places like the one he discribed, so quiet and peaceful, the type of place you could go to think about anything you wanted without fear or worry. She laughed a bit when he mentioned the game systems, she herself was an okay gamer, she didn't uaually play all the really popular game and stuck to either old games or ones that had been out long enough for the price to be much lower so she could afford them on her own.

"I wish I could say I was a big gamer but I'm really not, I only play old games or the ones that finally went down in price enough for me to get...I only have an Xbox..." She said as she leaned into the couch more, the sweat shirt she had been wearing riding up a bit and showing off her stomach without her noticing, she was far more interested in talking to him.

"What about movies? Do you have a favorite?"

Fido nodded as Cassie commented about him being an active person, and then grinned when she had said that she would have taken him up on the offer. Then when she commented on the games and systems and her experience with it.

"Well, you can play with my games here anytime you want." He commented with a friendly grin, and then glanced over and saw her exposed stomach, definitely cute.... She was kinda thin for a girl who apparently cooked all the time, it was curious and interesting to him. She had a good body.... her figure was great for her age.

When she asked him what his favorite movies, he laughed a little, wondering how to answer. Finally after a long pause, he looked up at Cassie, with the most serious look on his face. "Twilight of course!" He joked. "Nah.... my favorite movie is probably.... Balto.... I think you can figure out why." He grinned widely. "I love action movies.... I'm an adrenalin junkie, I admit it." He fessed up with a cheerful smile.

I enjoy Fantasy, Scifi, Romance, Magical, Modern and much more. I probably can't list them all! If there is something you want to try and it isn't listed here, just ask. I rarely say no!
Cassie smiled and nodded her head as he offered up his systems for her to play, she'd definately take advantage of it. She reached out to grab her drink, finally finishing it off and setting the glass down. Her cheeks were tinted a slight red and she felt a little warmer, she was definately getting buzzed. She hoped he wouldn't give her anymore to drink, she'd feel bad if she'd have to tell him no even though he'd been really nice so far. She nuzzled back into the couch, her stomach still exposed, and giggled a bit at his movie choice.

"If the first one had been true I might have just walked away from you...I also like that movie, it's really good. My favorite though is actually Walli, it's so cute!" She explained as she seemed to open up a bit more, thanks to the alcohol...she was never one to really hold anything like that very well...

Fido grinned as she finished her glass finally, looking a little more than tipsy. He thought it was extremely cute. Her shirt was still raised up a little, giving him a good view, and the way she really cuddled into the couch was proving what he already knew.

Obviously, no more drinking for her.

He grinned more as she told him her favorite movie and then finally looked around, noting the time. He turned to Cassie and spoke, "Well, It's almost twelve, now.... Is your mother going to be worried that you're not back yet?" He teased for a moment, grinning at her devilishly.
