Lauranna kept the shield up, grumbling at Caden that she wasn't going to leave anyone open to an attack! But then the dizziness hit her twice as hard, and she slipped unconscious again, even though she fought against it. Frustration gripped her as she was unable to even open her eyes and she sensed Caden was on his way back to her.. <No-- don't leave the others!> She tried to tell him. She worried that Claire or someone could get hurt by this dark stranger. But then she swore viciously as the blackness tugged her back down like a vortex that she couldn't escape. She felt horrible...
Cain flew even faster than before, hearing Lauranna's distress, and Caden's worry, he spiraled back to the Palace of Malthen Ana, and waited on a fairly big balcony of their bedroom window, so that all Caden had to do was hop off his back and check on his wife, who even from the window, looked pale and cold, not to mention exhausted. Their son started wailing in worried tones as soon as he spotted his dad though!
Claire barely had time to assure Caden she'd be alright, as he took off with Cain. Shaking her head, she wished she could have gone to help him heal Lauranna but she was needed here still. She helped unload the provisions, distributing them with Marianna from house to house. The homes were a little nicer here, a little more furnished. She delivered blankets, canned goods, dried foods, and fresh fruits, as well as some of the meat they'd carried with them while Marianna brought in other house hold necessities and even hygiene stuff for both men and women. The four of them worked fast, but efficiently. Something bothered Claire though.. It was a sense of pulling. A tug, really... maybe curiosity about the stranger they had heard about... Was she able to be defeated? <Xavier- can you sense where this dark core is? so we know what area to avoid?> Claire thought to him.
Aria agreed to moving into Aldin's room. It was right next to his. But when Ellisar stepped behind them both and announced he was taking a break, she really wanted to cry. She couldn't do anything as he walked out of the palace and simply left for the woods. "I feel really low right now Aldin. . ." She sighed. She kissed him though, gently, and went to help Theresa in the kitchen, giving the poor woman a slight break in the work load! This many kids being in the palace had to cause some wear and tear on the already overworked elf lady, even though Theresa was an energy-machine most of the time, she did not slow down or stop until exhaustion would hit her, and then someone, usually Jorga himself had to order her to rest. Theresa saw the turmoil in Aria's eyes however and drew the poor girl for a hug. . . no female had hugged Aria before. Not her own mother, or any other woman she'd met. It was surprising, but Aria just hugged her back. "You've really matured, Aria. I know Aldin's had a lot to do with that. But don't dwell on Ellisar right now. He knows what he needs to do to cheer himself up or at least compose himself. It's very hard, being the only one without a loved one. . . He just needs to discover for himself, what it is he really wants in a woman. Or just whatever makes his soul happy. Understand?" Theresa said, watching Aria pull herself together, wiping her tears away... She nodded. "Thanks Theresa.. I know. I've always just felt so bad I can't help him. He's helped me for all these years and now he's struggling and there's nothing I can do." She added, hating to feel so incompetent. Theresa shook her head. "Best you can do right now is reassure Aldin you're staying put....which hey- good for you, calming yourself down from your panic attacks by the way... how'd you manage that?" Theresa asked, with interest. Aria blushed. "Aldin's been helping me with meditating techniques... used to just go fly off or be a wolf or some other creature.. Can't shift hard enough to be a different person though.. Gods know I've tried." She rolled her eyes, putting the rest of the dishes up and scrubbing down the kitchen itself til it was spotless. Cleaning helped too. Lots of cleaning. Theresa shook her head. "nothing wrong with you hon. Just too many rotten people everywhere." she said, sweeping and mopping after everything else was done. "Thanks Aria.. go back out to Aldin now. I hope Jorga and the others get home safe..." Aria looked at her, tilting her head a bit. "You're worried they might have trouble?" She asked. Theresa nodded... "Yes.. but hopefully not too bad." Aria hoped not either, and left to go sit by Aldin, resting her head on his shoulder.
Gavin was more than prepared for Lazar to have him prepare for the defeat of the sisters, and wondered what his role in that spell would be. He was curious, but knew Lazar would tell him when he was needed, and kept the kiddos busy by checking how they were doing with Serena and Morden's flash cards. So far they seemed definitely highly intelligent and quick learners.
Nathan held Melise's hand as he thought it over. "Sure, why not. What do you need help teaching? Basics?" He asked. "Tell Lazar as well if my meager powers can help I will assist in any way." He added, not wanting such destruction to occur again. Hadn't their been enough sorrow? He personally, was wary of all the evil and the danger....
