Fantasy is my #1; I will give almost anything a chance if it has strong fantasy elements. Post apocalyptic, superhero, alternate history, science fantasy, some supernatural, romance, and a few fandoms (especially Game of Thrones) are also likely to catch my eye.
I don't think you can just straight up turn them off while leaving the rest of your profile active. The only option like that I can see is to hide your online status and current activity, but that will just make it so people won't see when you're online and won't see that "currently viewing..." thing in your profile.
However, you can go to the Privacy section of your options and alter who may view your profile details and such. I think unchecking those boxes will make it so nobody can see them, or setting them so only people you follow can view them is a good way to control who can see what you're up to.
Jorick is right! You can't prevent people from seeing your posts by looking at your profile, but you CAN turn off the Last Activity tracker that shows the last time you were on the site, and if it's was recently enough, what you were looking at.
