History and Plot:
There was a long while that people didn't seem to need the goddesses as much. Science and prosperity reigned, and the gods were almost forgotten. Some reincarnated, choosing a mortal life over deific longevity and gifts. Others remained, almost forgotten.
But lately, in the modern day, humanity has turned its attention to the gods and goddesses in a new way. Science and faith are merging in a new renaissance, old ideas being cast aside, though not without a fight. But the world needs gods and goddesses once more, and there are not enough to fill the roles in every pantheon. The remaining gods and goddesses have chosen to find mortals with comparable attitudes and seed them with the powers left behind by the long gone deities.
This will be done safely, each potential informed beforehand of their gifts. Those who don't accept will have their memories modified, those who do accept... They will be gifted with their new powers and taken to their new home for the time being. Prism Goddess University, the university in the sky.

Pantheons:
The Wild North Pantheon
The pantheon of the Wild North is concerned with combat, strength, sorcery, and prophecy. Their goddesses are often just as strong of warriors of their gods. Those who favor them have a strong sense of honor and family, revere their ancestors, and accept that these gods once walked among mortals as kings of the land. The Wild North Deities are at home in snowy environments, are excellent navigators, and excel as poets.
The Mountaintop Pantheon
The pantheon of the Mountaintop is a pantheon of competition, games, trickery, and shapeshifting. They often directly interfere with mortals and often have strong rivalries with their own kind and the other pantheons. Feats of strength and skill are highly valued by them. They are as at home on the sea as on land, and love farming. Those who favor them have quick minds or strong bodies, if not both. They love competition, and are rarely ever shy.
The Desert River Pantheon
The pantheon of the Desert River is comprised of those who favor justice and balance, though there are a few who lean toward chaos. This is accepted, as it is part of balance itself. They are great librarians and keep incredible records, and are known to have a mortal representative who speaks for them to humanity. They value skill with weapons and inventions, astrology, and mathematical talents. Those who favor them are often instructors, philosophers, and builders. A few are called to security work. They are gregarious and sure of themselves.
The Shrine Pantheon
The Shrine pantheon is dedicated to spirituality and leading humanity to experience the greatest gifts of life. They often work side by side with other pantheons and have a direct hand in making sure that mortals receive the talents they have earned in past lives. They are the front line combating demonic and dark forces, and are just as fond of poetry as the Wild North pantheon. Those who favor them are soft spoken but well spoken. They understand the necessity of life and death and the cycle and balance the two bless the universe with. They are also the first to defend those mortals who need a champion.
The Bright Elf Pantheon
The Bright Elves care little for humanity, though they have occasionally been known to come to the aid of mortals. They are mostly absorbed in their own pursuits, finding other pantheons too locked into structure. Fun loving, cheerful, and capricious, Bright Elves find humans to have short lives and not be worth getting to know. Gods, however, are fun to prank and trick. It is rumored that some deities in other pantheons are actually Bright Elves that fell in love with a god or goddess and were adopted by the pantheon.
The Broken Elf Pantheon
The Broken Elves often find much darker humor at the expense of others. They have been known to hunt humans and demigods and are keepers of dark magics. They are dangerous, and not permitted on the grounds. They are just as unpredictable as Bright Elves, but care nothing for the lives of mortals, except how long they last as prey.
Characters:
Characters will be new goddesses, fresh from a mortal life for their first day as students at Prism. They have been shown to the main hall of the beautiful floating castle that houses the school. Here, they will be informed of their gifts, given roommate assignments, and introduced to staff.
When creating goddesses, choose one of the non-elven pantheons for them to belong to, as well as what they are goddess of. (Love, beauty, death, horses, hearth, etc.) Their domain should reflect their personality. For instance, a goddess of death may have a grim sense of humor. A goddess of law might be an actual law student or someone who is obsessed with order. You cannot have the same domain of another player who is in the same pantheon. What pantheon you choose will also be determined by personality, so read the pantheon descriptions carefully. No one can play a goddess of the elves, seeing as everyone started as human. Keep in mind, your character will NOT start the game knowing their pantheon or domain. Characters should be university age or older. Characters will not start play with any powers active, but will soon be taught how to tap into powers related to their domain. (Feel free to private message me if you want to take a certain domain a certain way when it comes to powers.)
Note: Please do not use actual goddess names. Not only are your goddesses new to their domains, but it is more fun for this all to be based on a fantasy modern Earth analogue.
