Prince of vengeance

The shooting fire just barely missed Rikard and set ablaze the wheat around him. He knew she had tricks up her sleeve, but being able to shoot fire like that could prove to be a problem. He had to close the distance, force her into melee combat so she could not use her powers without risk of getting burned. From out of the flames and burning wheat he jumped toward her, drawing forth two identical, short curved swords which sliced through the air. He was most skilled with these weapons, but wasn't eager to face off against a fully armoured opponent.

His attacks relied on speed rather than strength, testing and prodding an enemies weaknesses before slicing at revealed skin or openings in the armor. Yet, unlike knights, Rikard didn't only fight with sinew and steel; Time after time he used dirty tricks and cunning. And this battle was no exception; as the woman defended herself against his blades he was quick to dive in low and grabe a handful of fine sand and filth to throw in his opponent's face and eyes.

Nephele defended against his attack with her larger of two swords. With her hand damaged, speed would be on his side. Most of her seemed to be fully covered, any holes had been tested and prepared for. However she had a few pieces that a sword could slip under, if angled right. He caught her in her rib cage, blood would slowly seep out onto her armor. This made her furious but before she could attack sand and filth flew into her eyes. Her hands went to her eyes as she took a few steps back, trying to clear her eyes. Growling at his antics. "Tricks won't help you." She growled out before pulling out her smaller sword with her damaged right hand and flying towards him, both swords at the ready.
If it was a dirty fight he wanted then so be it. She could use a good fight and with him out of her way, the invasion would be stopped. Swinging as though she could see, she hoped to hit him and wound him. Though she knew her chances were slim to nil.
