Power Bar OOC

(Finished now, just let me know if I should change anything, or if she has to many powers, although I did try and balance it out and give her a good amount of disadvantages.)

GENERAL CHARACTER STATISTICS




Hero Name: Shade
Powers:
Senses: Her senses are highly refined closely resembling an animals. Her eyesight is very good and she has adequate night vision, she still relies on light to see just she needs less of it than the average human. Her sense of small is very good and she has used it to track someone down on more than one occasion, and although she can seem like a blood hound sometimes she can get confused if there are to many over lapping or powerful smells covering over the scent. Lastly is her hearing which is very acute owning to the pair of cat like conical ears she has in place of regular human ones.
Agility and speed: During fights she is known to dodge around wildly not giving her opponant a chance to get in a solid blow. Her speed comes from the fact the she uses all four limbs to run (although the balancing affect of her tail helps), and her agility just comes her natural flexibility and explosive movements.
Tooth and nail: Her canines and nails are longer and sharper than the average humans. Although she uses both in fights she also makes use of her nails to help her climb buildings and cling to roof tops.
Wings: Not really a power at this point as her wings don't actually allow her to fly. Since no one ever took the time to teach her how to fly and she was never really motivated enough to try to figure it out for herself, her wings are only really useful in softening landings and extending her jumps by a couple feet.
Second compartment: Also not really a power, just one of those odd thing. She has two stomachs, one functions just as a normal stomach. The other on is located higher up and branches off a bit before her actual stomach, it doesn't appear to have a function but Erin has found that she can actually store things in that second stomach which, while a bit odd, is also a useful tool at times.

Occupation: Unless being a small time thief counts she doesn't have a job.




PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS




Hero Appearance: When she is on patrol or just doing something in general that would require stealth she wears a fairly conservative outfit of all black. Her shirt is long sleeved, thick but, made out of a sports fabric do that it doesn't get to hot. She has had to cut two large slits in the back of the shirt so that her wing can poke through. For pants she wears a pair of slim, but not skin tight, sports pants that have a hole cut in the back to accommodate her tail. Since she doesn't spend to much in the "normal" world so she doesn't wear a mask (besides it would porbably interfere with her ears) and she also usually forgoes shoes (unless it is really cold out).
Civilian Appearance: When fully upright Erin stands at around 5'5 not very tall but entirely short either. His hair is dark brown reaching to just below her shoulder blades and usually found in some state of disarray. She has large almond shaped dark brown eyes that have the smallest flecks of good dotting the outside edge of her pupil. As afore mentioned she has a pair of cat like ears set a bit higher than a persons ears, they brown like her hair but just a few shades lighter. Her tail is long with coarser fur but with the same color as her ears. Lastly her wings, they are much darker than both her ear and her hair boardering black, and sometimes even appearing black in poor light but, showing their true tone in the sun. Since her appearance is a bit hard to hide she tends not to play the part of a civilian to often. But when she does she wears a large long coat so has hide her wings, loose baggy pants to hide her tail, and a benie to cover up the ears. For a shirt she will often just go for a ratty old teeshirt. With an old pair of sneakers finishing off the whole look.
Strengths: Her speed, and agility, she is good at followings orders, she knows the underground tunnels very well, her general like and use of small spaces, and she is just pretty good at getting people to like her.
Weaknesses: To good a following orders doesn't know how to lead a team, because of her past she is not the smartest and can do some pretty stupid things at times, can act over territorial towards strangers or people she doesn't like, she has a distinct weakness towards shiny things and laser points, they provide almost endless entertainment, her concentration is pretty poor, and her metabolism is very high requiring lots of food. She also doesn't speak, it's unsure whether she can't or won't talk but at this point she is either silent or makes animal like noises, making communication very tricky.




MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS




Current Goal/Purpose: Short term is to hunt down her next meal. Long term is to locate a partner whether it be her old teacher, Red Phantom, or someone else.
Talents: Her tracking ability, her quick reactions, increased speed, her use of stealth, and her ferocity in fights.
Inabilities & Fears: Can't make good plans, just acts on instinct, hates hospitals and needles, has a very hard time when it comes to being betrayed. She also doesn't talk making her own variety of noises like growls, snarls, chirps, and other little odd sounds.
Personality: When first meeting people Erin can be very reserved and can seem kind of cold at times. This is exspecially true when she encounters someone on what she would consider her "territory", she rarely goes for an all out attack unless provocated but, she is known for following people around keeping an eye on them. However when she finally gets to know someone she is very sweet if a little odd. She views the world in a very simplistic black and white kind of way and she often has trouble seeing that grey area that exsists for most other people. This being said she also has a very hard time when people switch sides, and she gets very confused and distressed if someone betrays her or does something to compromise her trust. To generally describe how she normally acts the word doglike kind of comes to mind. Her mind was damaged when she got her abilities so at this point it is a bit tricky to figure her out. She is easily bribed, not with money, but with food and shiny things. There are somethings that she just doesn't seem to understand like that it is phiscally impossible to catch a laser pointer, and that pencils are not edible even if the grafite does taste good. But on the other hand she is a very good listener and knows when people need their space or need someone to talk to. She is pretty insecure exspecially when she sleeps so she tends to either sleep in high up, hard to reach places or she will make kind of a nest for herself. The nest approach she usually uses if she is staying long term in a space she finds to big, so she usually ends up stuffing if full of chairs, tables, ladders, anything really that she can get her hands on until it is almost impossible for anyone but herself to make it to her bed.




HISTORIC BACKGROUND




General History: Erin was born in Ouranopolist in what could be considered the middle class section of the city. Her parents were only teenagers when Erin was born and they made the decision to put her up for adoption. It was a tough and although the parents greatly disapproved they donated to the orphanage to make sure that Erin went to a good home. Years passed and Erin grew to be a bubbly warm hearted person, very bright but always getting into some kind of mischief, those that knew her loved her but she still had yet to find a home. Now at this point she had none of the odd features that she has presently she was just a normal child, with one small difference. One day a volunteer doctor came to the orphanage, giving free check ups to all of the children and even doing thigs like blood screening to make sure that they were all healthy. He was the one that first descovered Erin difference, her blood type. She had an extremely rare recessive mutation of the blood that was of great interest to the doctor's sponsors.
Only a few months after that check up Erin was finally adopted at the age of thirteen. She was absolutely thrilled but, she did not know that the couple she had been adopted by we're not who they said they were. They were scientists and instead of bringing Erin to a house they brought her to a lab. For three long years that lab was Erin's home and it was there that she acquired her strange appearance. It was almost a living hell for her, as the scientists, towards the end, started to lose sight of the fact that Erin was just a young girl they pushed much farther then could possibly be good for her until they got what they believed to be their perfect product. By this time there were several other children that had been brought in but Erin was the only one they tried their final procedure with.
See they wanted a perfect subject, someone who would do everything that they were told until they could be sold as the perfect soldier. But, all they had was Erin, at this point a bratty teenager with a mouth, and a rebellious streak. So they decided to wipe her mind clear, keepin only what thy wanted. Whatever went wrong in that surgery is a mystery and afterwards they realized that something had gone very bad. Erin's mind was in shatter she started acting more like an animal than human, all instinct and little mercy when pushed to far. If she had been unmanageable before now, she was simply impossible.
It is not entirely certain what would have happened if she had stayed in the lab but, in any case she escaped. A group of A list Herod caught wind of what was going on in the lab and one day broke in causing complete and utter chaos. Having smashed their way inside and unlocking all of the subjects doors Erin saw a way out and she took it charging out into a world she no longer recognized. Having been kept in the quiet sterile lab for so long and having her senses magnified made for a very scary and confusing first day. Shut away for so long she was bombarded from every side but lights, sound, and smells completely overwhelming her. Seeing the open top of a manhole she dodged forward into the dark and quiet.
Since then she has gotten used to a lot of the noise, smells and other stumuli, although she still primarily only comes out at night. Finding that she didn't like the taste of rat after only a couple days she was forced to start stealing. She only goes after stores and only ever takes food but, it has still gotten her into a lot of trouble through the years. She did stop stealing while she was working with Red Phantom but, she has started up again now that he has disappeared.




Present Life: At the moment she spends much of her days either resting, eating, or patrolling around. She has tried to track down Red Phantom on more than one occation but every time she picks up his trail she ends up losing it before she gets to far. Every couple days she finds that she has to venture out and find food. Sometimes she is lucky and just finds something lying around but more often than not she ends up having to break into a store, grabbing what she can before the cops arrive.




THE A LIST HERO


Name: Red Phantom


Known Powers: Doesn't have real powers but he is a master of multiple forms of martial arts and utalizes a variety of items and tools that he keeps hidden in his cape and general costume. He also has a keen intellect that he uses very well in fights.


Exploitable Weakness: He can sometimes over think situations and so will fail to see the obvious. Going with that he can also fail to see that he and everyone else is only human and he can get overly frustrated sometimes alienating his friends. However those who are close to him he is over protective of and he can become very distraut if something happens to them.


General Personality: Genrally very cold and calculating even to those that would be considered close friends it is hard for most to understand him. At this point his friends now his moods and can detect that tiny switch that happens when he is dealing with friends verses strangers or enemies. He can be a perfectionest at times and if things are not just so he can get frustrated and even a bit angry at times with others inabilities. But he is very protective and fond of his friends and if anything happens to them he will stop at nothing to help. He is a good leader and is not the best at taking suggestions or orders but, this is not to often a problem as he is known for making good plans and for leader other well.


History with B-list Hero: It was a small case, Phantom was just investigating a series of burgluries that had been cropping at local grocery and convenience stores. He tracked the culprit to the old underground maintenance and sewer tunnels. While underground he actually tracked the trail back to an old control room that looked like it had been converted in to a bed room. However he was the attacked by a thin but fierce girl. He fought her off and actually managed to calm her down with several bribes in the form of candy bars. Erin was that girl and that encounter started her apprenticeship with Phantom. They worked for nearly a year and a half together before the Phantom disappeared. Very confused Erin eventually returned to her old territory.

Well that took way too long. The IC is up. Unless you have a good reason, your character should be in the pool room so we can have them be paranoid and what not. Feel free to discuss any ideas for how you all know or don't know each other.

Civilian Appearance: When at work the dress code calls for a white dress shirt, black slacks and a half apron. On days off she's more often found in free flowing skirts, over sized sweaters and a riot of color with her red hair free from confinement.
Strengths: Despite being a magic user and thus the assumption she would be physically weak, Magica is fit and in shape, usually able to keep up with any ordinary criminal in a chase or dodging punches.
Weaknesses: She IS only human and while her magic can augment any ability for a duration, it comes with a cost. The cost typically comes from herself unless she can find and tap into another mystical source of energy.




MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS




Current Goal/Purpose: Just getting by. The pain from the past is starting to lift enough that she is beginning to question what she wants to do with her life again.
Talents: Magica is good at thinking outside the box, which really helps her with some unorthodox spell casting.
Inabilities & Fears: Due to the tragedy of the recent past, Magica does have a fear of being unable to help anyone close to her and hence losing them. She also is very timid at any sort of flying, by mechanical or mystical means. It makes her very nervy.
Personality: Anyone that has met her in the last two years would describe Irene as a quiet, slightly moody young woman who would be very pretty if she would just smile more. Those that knew her before remember a vibrant young woman with a good imagination tempered with a healthy dose of skepticism. Not one to take anything at face value she doesn't assume the worse of everyone, but just gives people just enough credit to still disappoint her.




HISTORIC BACKGROUND




General History: Irene was born in a boring backwater little town on a little island far from the hustle and bustle of city life. But the lure of a better life eventually had her parents move to Ouranopolist. While their own possessions were meager being a young couple with a small child, they were lucky enough to buy a house for cheap, the previous owner having died there and many of the possessions left there. Some things where moved up into the attic, while others where used, at least until they could upgrade.


Irene loved playing up in the attic, it was secluded and had all sorts of odd things she didn't get in trouble for touching. Among all the dusty clutter she found a hand written book, and at first she would pretend to read it, not having even been in school yet, and would make believe it was a great magic book. But as the years went by each time she opened the book she found more and more in there she understood and began to realize it WAS a magic book.


Then there was the first time she saw one of the city's famed super heroes. Her family, among many other bystanders, were saved from an alien blob. It was then at the tender age of twelve that Irene thought she too could help people with what she learned from the book.


It was during her first attempts at being a hero that she came across Visionary. At first he tried to dissuade her from attempting to do heroing, she was after all a kid, but it became apparent that she was going to keep on sneaking out and trying to "take car of the bad guys" one way or another, so it was better if she didn't do it by herself.


Known as Magica, the young hero in training idealized her mentor, who was fairly young himself, though not a wet behind the ears kid. At first her command on any of her powers was very limited and she had to learn how to be more focused and resourceful. Sometimes the lessons were very bitter. Eventually she graduated passed using the book to using the lessons from the book to produce her own flavor of mystic powers.


Irene got older and went to high school and eventually fell in love. Everything in life was perfect at this point. Magica was a well known junior hero and many of the city's heroes counted her as an ally and friend, even if she was still Visionary's side kick. Irene did well in studies despite her other activities and her and Mark, her boyfriend, went from mooning over each other from across the class room to going stead their senior year.


College was suppose to be more of this bliss. Irene was even ready to let Mark know her secret, though there were hints he might have already known. Then everything fell apart.


Present Life:


Two years ago a super villain went on a rampage in the heart of Ouranopolist. It took several A-listers to finally subdue the monstrous crazed menace , but not without many losses. Mark was among the dead, which if not horrible enough, happened as Magica tried to stop the villain, unable to save the one she loved the most.


She quit. She gave up on heroing and tried to forget everything, she wouldn't talk to her family or her mentor about it and she started failing her classes. She had no focus or passion. Then Detective Rose found her one afternoon and offered her a job until she was ready to go back to school. He didn't need her as a hero, but as someone that could deal with them. That was something she could do. She had her doubts but agreed to try it out for a few weeks. A year later she's still bartending at the Bugle.


THE A LIST HERO


Name: Visionary


Known Powers: Aura sensing, precognitive with both "random" visions and prepared (touch, meditation) visions & a few magic items with limited functions he's picked up on various adventures.


Exploitable Weakness: While the uncontrolled visions are something that Visionary has always possessed, and can enrapture him, his ability to see auras and purposely use mental abilities to see into the past or predict the future is thanks to his right armbrace which posses the Eye of Tears. If the Eye is taken off his person all extra abilities go with it.


General Personality:Self-assured, a little conceited, and a bit self-righteous. One of those heroes who is very goody-goody and has a little bit of a problem seeing shades of grey sometimes.


History with B-list Hero:
Visionary looks upon Magica as a little sister. Sometimes annoying, obnoxious, and hard to get along with, but over all he enjoyed teaching the little witchy girl how to be self reliant, and how to use her powers to their fullest extent. Her quitting the heroing business did not dissolve their friendship and he continues to try to be a mentor to her, even if sometimes she doesn't want his meddling.

I had mentioned in my character sheet that a superhero fought me when I came in enraged. Is it okay that I posted it being you? Will edit if not.

So just to remind everyone, pacing is important. Make sure you're posting regularly or communicating with me if you can't, but on the same token, do not post multiple times in one sceen when half the cast hasn't posted once. It really makes it difficult when you are trying to post a response and the character has fast forward to the other side of the room. No one is Flash after all... Though Blue Dancer comes close ^.~

Currently everyone is in the pool room, including a known villain, except Magica. I am holding her back in the main bar.

Anyway, hope I'm not dominating too much, but I just don't want to leave characters conversing with mine waiting to long for something to respond to. So like Ocha said. YOU LAZY PEOPLE BETTER START POSTING SO I DON"T LOOK BAD!

By the way, I have a minor mistake in my post. Bridget is not talking about Professor White, but Professor M.A.D.
 
Okay kids we have a villain & an ex-villain in the room and a mystery to be solved.... If there isn't more dialogue to be had then perhaps I can pull us into the next sceen?
