What do you do when you repeatedly can't hear someone?

  • Move closer to them

I accuse them of mumbling then walk away.

I get irritated after saying, "Sorry, I didn't hear you" a few times, and tell them just to forget about it-- That if it were important they would have spoken so that I understood them.

I'm a "whaaat? Whaaattt?"-er myself. Though this usually starts as me not hearing them and turns into me being annoying on purpose.
