Post your OCs for possible MxM Romance

[Vars]

- Must rp in threads.
- I post at least once a week (usually on weekends). Would prefer someone with similar response times.
- This will not be smut.
- "Realistic" settings. Doesn't have to be modern but at least not total fantasy.
- Gender of the player doesn't matter to me, but your character must be male-identified
- If you want to aggressively plot, that's ok, however freeform is totally fine by me too
- I would GREATLY prefer if you(the player) were aged 25+ (I am 30) but that's not required
- Age of the characters doesn't matter
- If we start and for whatever reason you want to quit, just tell me you don't want to rp anymore. I won't ask any questions about it. But please at least tell me so I can put my energy elsewhere. I'd give you the same courtesy.



Why I made this thread
I was re-reading some of my old RPs and a few of them are MxM romance with very little sex and is mostly about 2 guys working through whatever their issues are and developing the relationship. I decided I really had a craving for that again, so I'd like some believable MxM romance. It doesn't have to be a healthy relationship per se, but I don't want it to be one huge gloom and doom fest either.


RP Story/Plot Ideas
So I could make some flowery prose here but nobody has time for that so bullet lists it is:

- Very little to no sex... I made this thread redstar only because I wanted to RP with other adults.
- This would NOT be a smut RP, AT ALL
- The characters do NOT have a "label" that denotes their "role" in the relationship (e.g. uke or seme).
- One of the characters should be closeted or at least struggling with accepting themselves as not straight
- One of the characters should have issues/problems regarding sex (could be psychological or something like ED... or both)
- All the characters have real(istic) issues/problems that could be worked around in order to pursue the success of the relationship (could be anything from pre-existing kids, crazy exes, to just a demanding job)
- Prefer cis dudes but FtMs are OK too
- I'd give more specific examples but [spoili] too often I've found that people latch onto those and want to do that specific thing instead of using it as a working point to something we create together. So I won't be doing that this time. =] [/spoili]


Why post your characters instead of just discuss plot ideas
Well this is essentially gonna end up as a sort of slice of life rp, I guess. So the characters are more important.
I'm extremely laid back on what the story could be. Could be violent closeted homophobe meets nice guy, could be 2 professionals randomly getting into their first gay relationship, who knows. I'm not too picky.

So I'd rather look at characters. Post what male characters you wouldn't mind RPing with (pages/links if you have them, short bios if you don't) and we'll see if I've got a character I can make match or if I'm inspired etc.

I know a lot of people just make up characters every time so if you're one of those and instead have a specific plot that falls into this general theme, then feel free to suggest that instead and we might still be able to make it work.

I do have 2 pre-made characters I can probably use for whatever (and you can find them in my profile if you're adamant about it) but they're not really the direction I want to start this thread off with so we'll try this instead~

So feel free to PM me or post here so we can discuss opportunities! I will be keeping this thread open til I find someone. =]


Absolute NOs:
- mpreg
- omegaverse or anything even remotely similar
- vampires
- specific historical eras (only because I suck with history. If you don't care about those details then it's fine lol)
- If your character's bio has 'seme' or 'uke' etc in it anywhere

Everything else I can think of from the top of my head is fair game.

So I figured I'd add on some skeletons for characters I may be interested in playing to start this thread out.

1.
A guy who is 100% ok with himself and is basically just there to help your messed up character learn/grow.

2.
An older (than your character) FtM who had a not amazing time transitioning in the past but is now basically guy 1.

3.
A bi or closeted gay man who is ready to try his first gay relationship but just can't quite get over a bunch of mental hurdles about certain things, especially sex, which results in a lot of frustration/sadness for both parties.

4.
A pretty fit guy who's completely cool with his sexuality but has a huge problem with erectile dysfunction that he's extremely ashamed of and has sort of formed his identity around that shame.


Might come up with some more later but really I'd like to see some of your characters so we can create a good pair who can play off each other to make the story a little more entertaining to write out.
