Polarissima Australis

Nah, if the navy man actually had caught me, he... put me in prison again... So maybe you have put me in prisons you knew I could escape from?! Oh, wait. NO PRISON CAN HOLD ME! MOHAHAHAHA!

Name: Kitro Reiz "Kit"

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Affiliation: Galactic Alliance Navy - Vakirian/Jinenja Strike Force

Race: Vakirian/Jinenja

Species Codex: The Vakirians, or Jinenja, in their native tongue are nearly identical to humans. They usually have less mass than humans, appearing skinnier and shorter. Their appearance lies however giving them a reputation of physical inferiority when the exact opposite is true. They are natural superhumans, exhibiting the strength to lift 4,000 Human weight units or Pounds. They also with their compact and lanky frame are known for feats of above average speed and agility. While their physical aspects are documented, they are more known for their technology and scientific prowess, developing tools by which they can not only hack into terminals but also use their BioServer (like the omnitool from Mass Effect) to give them an equal playing field in combat with otherwise more superior races. Their only true distinctive features that set them apart from humans are their natural hair colors being of blues, greens and purples, and their eyes which are usually purple or red.

Appearance: Kit stands at a height of 5' 10, and weighs nearly 189 pounds in his combat armor. His hair is light purple mixed into a dominant true blue and reaches just to the base of his neck int the back and just below the jaw line over the ears with bangs reaching just under his nose. His eyes are a soft purple with almost unnoticeable red specks forming a ring around the pupils. His skin's a pale gold color and his build is skinnier but with toned muscles and a somewhat cut physique.

Skills: Like most hailing from his species, he is a tech and science specialist, his BioServer being one of his closest friends. Besides his natural gifts with technology and science, he has been trained in combat.

Strengths: He's reliable, and overall a good person

Flaws: He's inpatient and has a short fuse for stupid mistakes.

Weaknesses: He has a soft spot for people in need and helping them sometimes takes precedence over his given mission. He's also prone to outbursts of violence when he's stressed or angered too much.due to having cybernetic implants to better interface with technology, he is susceptible to EMP's which also jam his weapons and forces his BioServer to reboot. Experienced hackers can also deliver viruses to the chips in his implants that force them to malfunction until he sees a medical professional

Rank: Commander

Job: He has been put in charge of a "Ghost" Force hunting down the Eternal Revenge. He runs a Small Ship called the Illustrious Harbinger that utilizes a 20 man crew plus an adaptive virtual intelligence that gives information regarding his mission. Officially he and his crew answer to no government being sanctioned as "Ghosts" they do however give status reports to both the government leader and Captain Kispen.

Personality: He's a natural Vakirian, raised around computers and machines his entire life. He's highly intelligent, though unlike his race he's not snarky and will speak to you like a person if you make a mistake unless it's an easily avoidable mistake, then his subtle anger will show through stereotypical sarcasm and snarky zingers to beat the solution into your head if the same problem arises again. Overall, he is friends with his crew, and usually prefers to have a drink with them rather than have them lay their lives down for underworld scum. Though he is a military man, he feels more related to guerrillas, having only attained his status in The new Vakirian military because of his actions as a freedom fighter

Miscellaneous: In combat situations he is usually seen in complete combat armor armed with a Vakirian NS-6b Hand Cannon, a gun said to look like a pistol, but kill like a rifle. He carries a compact Vakirian PTN-4v phased ionic charge rifle, but almost never uses it. His BioServer allows him buffed melee attacks giving him a cellular distortion effect to his hand to hand combat and also allows him to fire a beam of charged ions, the drawback to using his BioServer buffs is that they leave him tired, drawing energy from bio mechanical power converters in his implants.

Personal History: Kit was born to a poor Vakirian Family living in the lower wards of a space station orbiting one of their homeworld's moons. Before his birth, Kaliri, the Vakirian homeworld had been taken over by a military coup involving the planet's navy and infantry divisions, who then forced the poor to live on one of the 4 moons or on two space stations, leaving the homeworld for the wealthy and military men. When he turned 16 he and his father along with many other individuals took up arms to retake his world. Two years of fighting the new regime had left him with 2 remaining squad mates, no father and an officer's rank given to him for his courage, and drive to go above and beyond to liberate his people. The civil war had ended, yet he remained in the military, and was finally given the rank of commander at 25 when after being reviewed by the new free Vakirian government, was requested to head an operation in cooperation with the Alliance Navy, answering to them ultimately while being free to follow the Vakirian Military law, having no briefing until he makes contact with the Ahkand.

So, to get some activity back in here, lets discuss some of the rules about the universe!

Teleporters: Teleporters are common on ships, mostly used to send a few people and/or some goods/equipment. They generally take about a minute to charge before they can send anyone/anything, to get enough power and calculate a safe landing zone, so to speak.
There are personal 'porters that can be carried, though they are large (think a backpack) and have a long recharge/limited battery.

Any suggestions or questions, both to teleporting and other stuff, ask away!

Teleporters on larger ships, think like super massive ships, should they have internal links, to teleport crew members to other parts of the ship, and what about the nature of the teleportation itself, does it use a dimensional slingshot nexus, or dry/wet matter conversion and data transfer?

And there can be only one spider-man and that be me dawg

Also, about the title, do those words have anything to do with the plot, and is the hunt for the eternal revenge the entire thing or is there an overarching plot behind it?

Hokay, lets see...

The title is the name of the galaxy the rp is set in, and its the name of real one too.

The internal 'porter thing sounds like a good idea, so that's canon now.

And about the nature of the 'porting... I haven't exactly read up on it a lot :S But I kinda imagined it as being sent through a different dimension, type thing. But hey, if you feel like explaining it, or say which one you prefer, then we might change to that one :3

Dimensional slingshot nexus teleportation makes it possible to transfer matter through effectively slingshotting a person or matter at such speeds that they plow through another dimension while a node or other tracking device keeps them linked to our reality, (essentially warping time and space around the person by removing them from our perception of reality) then while in the nexus dimension they are slung back around to a the corresponding coordinates in our dimension. It would require an immense amount of energy to maintain a sling field gravitational distortion field warp field, and it would also require any kind of understanding about the dimension you're using as a slingshot nexus, because there is a chance ( see the game half life) that whatever lives in the nexus dimension could escape to our dimension through the same means. Dimensional slingshot teleportation is more feasible than converting physical matter to a digital format and transferring that data to another location to be converted back to physical matter, and I believe dimensional slingshot teleportation is what should be standard, though experimentally some ships could have data transference teleportation as well.

Okay, my next question, is hunting the eternal revenge the only plot or is there an overarching storyline that transcends that straight forward plot, meaning, the main story is something far deeper and the hunt for the pirates is a means by which the deeper plot is revealed?

Interesting...

Torn between the idea of playing a Pirate or Navy. Maybe use the Navy as an excuse to flesh out the worlds in the universe as you go along?

Dimentional slingshot nexus teleportation makes more sense and it can cause havoc when something from another dimention comes through, and it's always good to have possible havoc in an RP, because if it starts getting slow, or someone is on vacation ... "Harold used the teleporter and when he came out on the other side there was a GIANT MONSTER ATTACKING EVERYONE!! IT ESCAPED FROM ITS DIMENTION! AHHHH" ... amirite?

I think it should definitely start with it seeming like the whole Navy going after the Eternal Revenge, but really the Eternal Revenge is searching for some long lost piratey thing, and the Navy doesn't want them to find it, or something of the like.

I'm definitely feeling like the hunt for the pirates should be a major subplot with like this over encompassing plot that is epic and not so straight forward

Plus with DSN teleportation, things could turn into lovecraftian nightmare or a true horror story quickly say after a ship to ship battle one of the crew members uses an internal teleporter pad and boom you got Doom all up in there just waiting to ruin your day

yesssss Doomesque fighting sounds perfect. Now we have to come up with something epic enough for this thread. I'll leave that to you since I suck at coming up with ideas.

Alright, it's settled! Dimensional slingshots is the standard form of teleportation!

Onto the plot then: The hunt for the ER is mainly a subplot, yes. I've been thinking of some looking for a old relic/parts for a superweapon or something in that alley. But I'm open for any suggestions, as I feel that mine is rather weak :P

Also: Slyen, you can have one of each :3

I"m just going to go with the flow and be a totally bad ass first mate :D

the super weapon could be a thing, but, let's think of something bigger, like the ER awakening an evil far worse than itself somehow

Well, how about that the weapon opening a rift to another dimension, opening the way of whatever lies there?

I was thinking about that, a specific area in restricted space able to keep a teleportation field open

Either something able to keep a teleportation field open, or something that rips a hole to the dimension used for teleportation, or some other dimension. Whatever it is that happens, we can assume that some rather un-fun things come out of it.

The main focus would yes, be that the eternal revenge let out a party no one wanted to have thrown

I think we can say Xarn don't really know what the weapon does, just that its damn powerful. And as such, he used it on some planet, or ship, or something, opening a rift or field, and bam! Dimensional shamblers everywhere!
