Deathreap faded away into what seemed to be Shadow Force. Renarde charged on, her trajectory tuned by stance. Her flaming mass headed for the Trevenant, her original query fading from corporeality. Trevenants tended to be slower on their legroots, which felt like a guarantee that Flame Charge would hit its secondary target.

Frederick ducked down into his own stance. Deathreap was not against attacking trainers, so he had to look around for signs of a Shadow or Phantom Force attack brewing. He'd be able to get out of the way more easily that way. "Everyone, watch out, it has no qualms with going after you instead of your partner!"

As the shoreline came rushing up to Dexter, he couldn't help but feel a sense of impending excitement rise up inside of him. The last time he had been to a new region he was twenty five and the trip had been entirely worth while. Kalos was a splendid hunting ground, though he left with no game. Sometimes looking for and seeing the pokemon was enough for him, and at the time he had still been on the hunt for the brethren he now carried. The difference between then and now, though, was that this was a newly discovered landmass entirely. What was here, what was hidden could not be known by anyone, and he intended to find out while hunting for his quarry.

There came a point where the water was simply too shallow for his pokemon to swim up without becoming beached. It stopped, having reached the destination on the sandy shore ahead and Dexter looked out. He saw a Krabby scuttling along the beach, heading towards the water. Looking out to the direction the Krabby was heading, Dexter saw a school of Magikarp not too far from the shore heading towards the east as well as a passing Goldeen. Common pokemon, all of them, and not particularly strong for that matter. He paid them no mind. Walking three steps forward, he reached down to his right side and took a hold of the ultraball marked with a blue L there, retching it up, down, left and right in that exact order before the clasps on his belt released the ball. Holding it down below him, he pressed the button and called back his pokemon, loosing his footing int he process. He fell down into the warm sea water and didn't mind because it was warm. His dufflebag had no items in it that could be ruined by the sea and so he began to swim to shore, reaching it within a matter of two minutes. Standing on the beach, he shook his head and shoulders to get all of the water out of his hair before sweeping it back, taking in a deep breath and looking around.

No trainers in sight, no sign of human life anywhere. The shore stretched back maybe a hundred meters at the most, a large beach, and went on for a good half a mile in each direction. He thought he saw a Combee flying off in the distance by it disappeared behind a small boulder before he could confirm it. Not far from the end of the shoreline was a line of trees and that signaled a small forest, or at least the beginning of a large one. He wouldn't know until he was inside. Shaking his legs to get the water out of his boots and pants, he stepped ontot he beach and headed for the line of trees, excited as he had been when he was so, so young with his father on their very first safari long, long ago....

Jack'O had reached four stanzas, which is a new record, when he spotted Altaria flying gracefully in the clouds. Jack'O knew it was what caused Aedan to fall asleep. This caused the little spook to feel conflicted. Altaria freed Jack'O to sing to his heart's content, but Jack'O couldn't go far without Aedan. He was the one who carried them to new places. Aedan was the one who found pokemon to challenge, and share the food every meal. With the achievement of hitting four stanzas, Jack'o was feeling cocky, He stopped his dreaded singing to prepare an attack. Jack'o began his secret chant, and aimed squarely at the graceful Altaria. He smiled as he prepared to use Trick-or-Treat.

Dark clouds lied around the lonely regain, approaching to land was four Brids. Ashely had been singed into a deep sleep state, Lieing on the grass coverd ground. She was about to order an attack before the song enslaved the battle ground, making the pokemon and human sleep alike. Celebi had stayed awake, however it had fallen to yet another tune. Weaker, weaker, and weaker it grew, death was near. Celebi had lost its constitution, causing it to violently land to the ground. Major damage had been done to its leg, laying weak celebi faced death, then the tune stoped. Celebi heard yet another voice, an old friend, expect it was in its head. "You lie hurt love, who dares trys such a thing!?" lugia had landed in the middle of the battle field, ready for any attacks. While moltres landed, burning the grass beneath it. Then enclosing its wings moltres coverd its face, sitting silently. Zapdos however did not, lighting strikes the island as the brid flys freely. Articuno had landed also, but behide its master, ready to aid.

Kyoko struggled to stay awake, but to no avail. The last thing she saw were 4 of the 5 Birds of Legend.

Eifi struggled then fell asleep, laying down curled up.

Something flew by the others very fast but unseen. It would look like Kyoko and Eifi were floating before they were gone.

There came a great, angry call from over head like the sound of sick lightning. Dexter stopped and looked up, recognizing the call. He'd been walking through the forest he had seen for about five minutes now and had seen quite a few pokemon. Heracross dotted the tops of trees here and there while a small swarm of kakuna hung from a tree. He had seen a Teddiursa and its mother Ursaring walking along quietly, heading for the coast presumably for food. He'd seen a couple of Geodudes contesting one another over territory and not much further he had seen a Bidoof gnawing lazily on a small tree. There were lots of pokemon here in the forest, and many more which he was not seeing or searching for he feared. They were all common or lesser pokemon, even to his original three which some shikari would consider lesser or unworthy. To Dexter, though, they were just lesser sport and didn't want to waste his time on them.

But the call of the bird he had heard was from that of Zapdos, the legendary pokemon of thunder. So he looked to the top of the trees for a sign of it and he saw them - Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno and Lugia together, flying over head in the same direction. At first, Dexter was confused - the legends said that those three didn't much like each other, so why were they in the company of Lugia? Perhaps there was something worth all of them heading towards... a rare and powerful pokemon, perhaps even the one in particular he was searching for. Looking back down to earth, Dexter turned int he direction that the four pokemon were flying and jogged, wanting to get to where they were as quickly as he could withut tiring himself out. A good shikari knows that the hunt is never in a single part and that tiring yourself out prematurely will only lead in the hunt getting away from you. He jumped over a Raticate and it's young rattata as he jogged, earning the chitter of the two rat pokemon which he ignored. He was after a lead now, he was on the hunt.

Having lulled a large majority of people and Pokemon into sleep she grasped the Pokeball before recalling Altaria. "Sing for me another day my dear friend." She whispered quietly, closing her eyes before she took a deep breath. Now only Plusle stood in her arms, having released her ears as well. Turning to look around the fields, the delicate looking female bit into the flesh of her lips. "I'm so sorry...I didn't want anyone to fight." She apologized quietly, knowing full well that no one or few heard her regrets. Gently she reached up and parted the hair from her face before she watched as four legendary Pokemon arrived, causing her yellow eyes to widen drastically.

Lugia, Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno.

"Am I imagining things Plusle? They are the legendary birds and Lugia right?" She asked, glancing down to the small red and cream Pokemon with uncertainty. Receiving a small nod she took a small step back, returning a step closer to the trees so she could easily run. After all, Aria wanted to accomplish her dreams and entering such a dangerous scene would be a bad choice. She wanted to meet Rayquaza. Of course there was the fact she was completely entranced of what she had heard about some other legendaries and desired to befriend them also, her dream since child hood was to set eyes upon Rayquaza. "Plusle...I think we should really be careful...I'm still unsure on who the good guys are..."

Onward Dexter jogged, chasing after birds and going only in the same direction he had seen them fly. He had no idea if he would find them in a relatively short time or if he would be tracking them for days, but birds were easy. Birds had routines, they had places they went, they were territorial to a fault. Birds left tracks and markings to let you know they were there, and while their nests may be in high places and craggy peaks, the determined shikari is not deterred by such things. Just because something perched in a high place doesn't mean it's not worth the hunt. So he jogged, passing pokemon after pokemon, almost getting into a confrontation with a passing beedril but avoiding that easily enough. He was fixed on this goal, and while he jogged he thought of ways of capturing them. It kept his mind from wandering and it kept him focused on the task at hand. Presumably, Lugia was the one keeping the peace between the three if the stories were true, so if Lugia were to be taken out of the picture, then the other three would fight and squabble and tire each other out. Dexter wouldn't have to do anything, they would practically catch themselves.

Then it occurred to him. One was missing from this picture, a very special bird indeed. Ho-oh, the miracle maker, the rainbow feathered bird, the real prize. Perhaps that were true. It may be that these four were heading towards Ho-oh, for what reason he did not know but maybe, just maybe they were. Dexter thought to himself that taking a short side track to catch such a magnificent prize would be worth postponing his main goal. He was speculating though, he needed to think of how to best deal with Lugia. It lived in the water or close to it, so it wouldn't be a stretch for it to use water type attacks. That meant that both Leviathan and Behemoth were bad choices to contend against it. Bahamut could do it, he had the power, but what of the other three? If their leader was being assaulted, perhaps they would step in? It was too risky a business to go in without some sort of backup. Ganandorf and Behemoth could hold off the other birds while Bahamut went after the main prize. Once that was accomplished, they would do the rest without his needing to do anything.

An end to the trees was in sight and Dexter headed towards it, eager to get a look at his surroundings and catch his barring, to get on the proper trail of the three lead by one. As it turned out, though, he didn't need to do any of what he normally would. As he broke through the line of trees, breathing only slightly elevated, he came across a curious scene. There they were, four birds not far from each other. All around them were people and their pokemon, trainers... a battle? Were they owned those four? That made things much more difficult than they needed to be if they were, but just what was happening here? Almost everyone was asleep save for a couple of pokemon and, from what he could see, a single trainer whose back was to him. Moltres sat quietly, almost docile. It would be an easy thing to sneak up on it for him, Articuno sat not far behind Lugia... where was Zapdos? As if in answer to his thought, the angry caw from before rang out and Dexter looked up and there it was, circling over head, generating lightning from its body. Was it guarding the rest? He couldn't be sure, but with Zapdos in the air and the others on the ground, he was left with more questions than answers.

Lugia was looking at something. Dexter followed the white pokemon's gaze and froze, his eyes fixated on what he dare not believe. Could it be true? Was he actually seeing Celebi, the lord of time, master of the clock? Could it be that the birds were protecting it? But how? Why? Were the trainers all here for Celebi? More questions, no answers. All he knew was that Lugia and even Ho-oh were a side step as compared to this pokemon, and his greed for it grew. Where Ho-oh had been worth taking a step off the beaten path, Celebi was worth a trip to the coast away from the beaten path to obtain. But why, why were there so many legendaries in one place? It couldn't be a coincidence, there must be a reason for it! But why? Why? He need answers, and he saw only one conscious person he could ask.

"You, girl!" he said, not needing to be very loud since he was so close. He pointed over to the grounded Celebi and asked simply, "Does anyone own that Celebi?"

Lugia scratched at the humans question, Quickly the brid flown to the air, only to land in fornt of the newly arriveing trainer, lugias face lied inches away from the mans. Then the Pokemon spoke telepathy to the man. "You will not have my love!" lugia thrown it's self in an attack stance, then used psybeam towards a large grouping of trees, destroying them. Calmly the Pokemon turned it's face to the man, leaving it's face yet again only inches away from his.

Deathreap have used shadow force, but in the the moment of the attack he realized his wounds were to great to continue, So he retreated. He lied deep within the island, within a ancient human labyrinth. He have trapped many Pokemon within this labyrinth, including Ho-ho and it's aggressive dogs.

Aria was scared. Why? Everything was changing instantly and new Pokemon, strong Pokemon, were arriving all the time. By now she had bit harder into her lip as she flopped to the ground, pulling Plusle to her as she held the Pokemon securely in her arms. Even Plusle who was normally the bravest of her three Pokemon was concerned at the current situation. With a small hum she put her attention back into calming Plusle who above everything here was her priority. Softly she patting her head, causing Plusle herself to be lulled into a gentle sleep as she nestled within the shivering arms.

Turning her yellow gaze to Lugia, the three birds and the new arrival she frowned. "U-um...I put them all to sleep." She spoke loud enough to be heard but the strange stutter to her words remained. Even now she was concerned about everyone, just the Pokemon more. "I had A-altaria sing...they were all fighting and I didn't want anyone to get hurt..." She didn't even know who was the bad guys in this situation. "I didn't know who was right here so I targeted everybody." She added before pouting. "I'm really sorry! I didn't mean anything bad by it." She was glad that Altaria's sing was strong but she felt bad from it all.

Right now she wished she could just...vanish.

"Nnnn...." Kyoko woke up and put her hand to her head, groggy. "Eifi? What happened?" She asked and looked up, seeing not one, but two Espeons, both with Eifi's bow around their neck. That woke her up, and when she was more clear headed, she realized they were in a cave, up high. She got up and frowned. "Ditto?" She asked.

One of the Espeon's laughed and was suddenly gone. Eifi, the real one, cried out in surprise. Both Eifi and Kyoko looked around before Kyoko shook her head. "Eifi, return." She held up the Pokeball and Eifi was sucked back in with a flash of red light.

Kyoko looked around then walked to the mouth of the cave. She whistled when she how high up it was. Then, something pushed her from behind and she slipped, fqlling down and screaming.

"Dont be afraid silly. I'll catch you." Said a feminine voice in her head. Kyoko looked around as much as she could but didn't see anything. Then she landed on something soft and was flying. With another giggle, the pokemon de-cloaked itself. Kyoko gasped. "Latias!"

The last few moments were a haze. Lugia and the legendary birds descended, to Frederick's knowledge, and then things went black. Deathreap was nowhere to be found. Renarde was sleeping on top of a dead Trevenant, next to a slumbering Gengar. Frederick sighed and bowed slightly for the Trevenant before calling back Renarde, who was having a cozy nap. He himself was groggy, as it were. Where had everyone gone...?

Dexter watched as Lugia came towards him, and was surprised to say the least. It seems the pokemon had been listening to all around him when he had come and asked his question. Not but a few inches from his face, Dexter took a few steps back and reached down to the ultra ball on his belt labeled "B" to he right of the ultraball labeled "L". The first rule of a shikari was to be patient, the hunt was the hunt and it was to be appreciated, not rushed through. The second rule, or so his father had taught him, was that sometimes the hunt wasn't always so easy. Sometimes, the hunter became the hunted and needed to reacted quickly. This was one of those times. As Lugia reared his head back in an attack, Dexter took his shot and ran off to the right away from the woods, throwing his whole body forward and tucking into a roll to hopefully avoid the blast of the pokemon.

He came to a stop on his haunches not far from the girl he had asked his question to, now on the ground. His eyes were locked on Lugia, his body tense as a spring ready to be released. This was bad, very bad. If Lugia attacked again and he dodged, it would hit he girl. There was no telling why it had really attacked in the first place, except that it was protecting the Celebi he had inquired about - but how far would it go to protect it? Would it harm people to get at him? There was also the other three to worry about, Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres. Wild cards as far as he was concerned. He needed to get away from the area, and fast. Riding Bahamut would be the quickest way out, but would they give chase? He could fight, but there were risks to fighting and he didn't even want to. He'd come across a situation that he wanted no part in, and he simply wanted out of it as soon as possible.

With no time and no real choice in the matter, Dexter pulled off the ultraball marked "B" to the right and held it up, saying "I'm leaving, now!" Pressing the button, he released the pokemon within named Bahamut - the swirling green dragon pokemon of legend towered over all there, letting out a roar and overlooking the scene as Dexter had trained it to do. Bahamut was smart, very, very smart. It could analyze what would be the best place to attack without Dexters' say so but wouldn't attack unless ordered to. Training it had been difficult, for as smart as it was it was also proud. By all accounts, Bahamut, the Rayquaza of legend he had spent years hunting, was his proudest achievement as a trainer for being so difficult. He never called it out unless it was absolutely necessary, and in this case, it was. They needed to fly away and fast, and this was the only pokemon he had that could fly, never mind its speed - although it was arguably the fastest of all his pokemon.

Turning to the girl behind him, not wasting a moment, Dexter picked her up in both of his arms and started running int he opposite direction of Lugia, calling out, "Bahamut!" as he ran, his pokemon obediently turning and following him. Dexter ran as fast as he possibly could with the girl in his arms, holding his back on his shoulders. Bahamut caught up to him in no time. Jumping up into the air as high as he could with a huff, Dexter landed on the back of his mighty dragon, Bahamut simply swooping beneath him and carrying him upwards. As soon as they were on, Dexter leaned forward and took a hold of Bahamut's side, crying out, "Fly, fly!" the pokemon beneath them obeying without comment, soaring high up into the air in a swirling, snake like fashion. Looking back behind them, Dexter looked to see if they were being followed.

Jack'O slapped Aedan repeatedly. Its long orange arms grabbed his jacket and shook him like a doll. Aedan slowly returned, yawning loudly as he opened his eyes. He then gasped in horror at the sight of Jack'O unleashed. Crap, how long have I been out? Aedan pulled out Jack'o's pokeball, bringing much chagrin from the little spook. "No complaining. I can't even tell what mayhem you got into while I was out. In you go." Aedan popped open the ball, pulling Jack'o back in with the red beam of light. Aedan then saw the other trainers. His hand reached for Daphne, but his photojournalist instincts took over. Before his very eyes sat not only the three legendary bird pokemon, but Lugia and Celebi themselves. Aedan squealed loudly as he dashed over. His camera was out in a flash, and soon he began lighting up the clearing with the flash from his camera. He took each pokemon's mug from every angle doable. Each shot warranted a another, along with an overriding sense of joy. Soon Aedan went through his roll, and clicked an empty spot. Oh no, out already? I've only got 37 rolls of film left. NO way... Then he remembered the legendary's trainers. Maybe some aromatherapy will earn autograph's?! Daphne's pokeball flew out from his side, with the order of. "We got some heavy sleepers. Use Aromatherapy!" Daphne waved her dainy green arms and flooded the clearing with the strong, gentle scent of spices. That should get everyone moving!

Ashelys eyes fluttered open, she was face down in the dirt. What happen? She thought, then slowly she rose from the ground. Her legs hald small brushes, So did her arms. Licking her thumb Ashley rubbed the dry dirt from her cheek, then she saw them. Moltres sat So peacefully, then there was articuno, who sat boldly. It's wings where inclined, it's chest puffed out. Lighting struck from the sky, thunder roared. Looking to the sky Ashley saw the final Legendrey brid, zapdos. lighting erupted from it's body. Oh God! Where's cell?! Ashley have seen her fallen Pokemon, Tears filled her eyes. she hald Celebis small body with in her arms. Feeling for a pulse Ashley smiled with she felt the boom, boom and boom. Ashley hald celebis pokeball in her pocket, gently grabbing the hand painted forest ball. Clicking the center celebi disappeared with a red flash, pokeball closed.

No surprise, Lugia was giving chase. The others didn't appear to be though, which was either a stroke of fortune or exactly what Lugia was wanting. The girl was still in his arms, he needed to be more careful because of it. He couldn't risk losing Lugia by having Bahamut use extreme speed. He'd risk having her fall off if he did. His best bet was to outrun Lugia, not much of a problem he thought. Bahamut was fast, very, very fast. Even without extreme speed, they could outlast Lugia if not outrun him. His thoughts were interrupted though as Bahamut suddenly reared its head back, rising up in the air and turning to face Lugia.

What was going on? Dexter hadn't ordered his pokemon to stop its retreat, let alone turn around and face their pursuer! "Bahamut, what are you doing!?" Dexter asked, looking at Lugia in the air and then down at the ground. He estimated that they were some seventy feet in the air, a hundred at the most. A fall from this height would be potentially fatal, and if they started fighting in the air everyone would be in danger - not just them up in the air, but those on the ground not terribly far away either. Bahamut was not one to hold back in a fight, in Dexter's experience. It was another reason he only used him if necessary. Dxter could only assume that Lugia had said something to Bahamut and Bahamut alone. He just hoped that his training and strength of will was stronger than whatever Lugia had to say...

At the moment, she was focused on calming the quick beats of her heard that had long since cause her to pale drastically. Things were occurring inhumanely fast and her mind was trying to work out the whole thing. "I...Eh..." Her words were but a constant mutter as she cocked her head to the side, yellow eyes wide as she stared ahead with nothing but a blank gaze. She was picked up suddenly, causing her grip to tighten on her partner as she was moved from the spot she was previously perched within. Aria's eyes shifted up the the cause of the sudden change, curiousity filling the light eyes as they sudden widened. "You!" She declared, blinking in disbelief before she shook her head. "H-hey! What are you doing?" She asked. Despite her protest, her words were quiet as per usual.

Then came Rayquaza.

Her lips parted to speak words and her eyes widened in awe at the Pokemon she had been looking for along with her friends. In her opinion and most, Rayquaza was one strong dragon type and to top that he is a legendary. "Rayquaza!" Her awe struck state kept her in shock, not even noticing her surroundings until the large beast and herself was in the air. Instantly she latched onto the male who had stuck her in this situation, her other arm bringing the curious Plusle to her so the Pokemon would not be in danger. "High..." She mumbled, eyes looking frantically to the ground before she shook her head. Her attention shot to the one she know understood was Rayquaza's trainer. "How did you befriend Rayquaza of all Pokemon?"

The large green dragon Pokemon stopped, causing her to take not of Lugia's pursuit. "...What have I gotten myself into..." She asked herself, caution, fear and worry locked within the yellow orbs as they stared over at Lugia. For so many Pokemon spoke of in legends to be present in one place...it was unthinkable and insane! Aria could only guess that she had wronged someone to put her in such a situation. While in awe of the Pokemon, being the Pokemon lover she was, she was definetely falling into a state of caution with all the previous events.

After Kyoko had explained the situation to Latias, they set off for the small town they had come from. When they got there, Kyoko's eyes widened. It seemed like another legendary had joined the group. This one was from Latias's home region.

Latias let out a cheerful hello cry.

Aedan was glad everyone was up and moving, but thankfully after his episode. Daphne took it all in stride, sensing an opportunity to pose. Aedan scooped her in his arms, and walked towards the group. The aroma was still strong in the air, making everything smell like cinnamon and paprika. Daphne climbed to Aedan's shoulder, appearing as a familiar of sorts. She held on to his head with one hand, the other waving in a regal pose. Showoff... "Hello, everbody. Glad we're all awake now. Sorry if that gourgeist you saw from earlier caused any harm."
