"Greetings all you Poké-Fans from all across the beautiful Alilffa Region! Welcome back to Day 18 of the Pokétopia Festival for the final round of the Tri-Badge Tournament! Today, we've got a be-ee-you-tiful match for you all! In the blue corner, we've got a special guest! Please welcome back, the current reigning Champion, Wes, with his be-ee-you-tifully unbeatable team of Espeon and Umbreon!"
WHOOOO! YEAH! GO WES! KICK THAT NEW-GUY'S BUTT!
"Aaaaand in the red corner, we've got a kid all the way from the Kanto region! He's been on a quest to become the ultimate "Pokémon Master" since 1997. Currently, he's been dominating in the tournament and has managed to take down every one of his opponents with a skillful group of mixed type Pokémon, including a very dedicated Pikachu. So, it is my great honour to introduce, the one, the only, ASH KETCHEEEEM!"
WHOOOOOP WHOOOOOP! LETS GO ASH! KICK HIS BUTT! PIKACHU! PIKACHU!
"Alright you two, I want a nice, clean fight from you. This is the final round of the tournament, so all items are banned, including healing items or items held by Pokémon. You may choose to forfeit at anytime, but in order to do so you must throw up a red flag. Got it?"

The Pokétopia Festival is a massive gathering of Trainers, Professors, Pokémon, and even Rangers that only takes place every 8 years in the Alilffa Region. Its an epic Eight Week, 52 Day event, that takes place during the months of June and July. The festival has a multitude of events such as Beauty Pageants, multiple Tournaments (with over 82 different arenas, each seating about 800 people), a Full-Pokémon Themed Amusement Park with over 56 different attractions, Poké-Gardens (for trainer on trainer socialization and friendly competition battles), and so much more. It an event that every Trainer (and their Pokémon) dreams about attending in their lifetime. However, due to the large amount of attractions, features, and tournaments, the cost of just one ticket (low class) is extremely high. However, those who have proven themselves to be extraordinary in their own way (becoming a Gym Leader, Conquering the Elite Four, Capturing/Encountering a Legendary Pokémon, "Catching them All", begin a job as a Professor, ect) gain a major discount on their ticket, as well as a free upgrade to a "HeartGold Card", which allows full (and free) access to the Theme Park, Attractions, Tournaments, Pageants, Food, and even a room at the 5 Star "Mew-Towers Hotel".
As it turns out, you are one such individual! You have done something extraordinary in your quest to become a Pokémon Master and so, have received an invitation to the Pokétopia Festival in a few weeks, with a HeartGold Card attached. Packing up your bags and grabbing your Pokémon, you head out towards the Sea-Port to await the arrival of the "S.S. Kyorge". What wonders and adventure await you in Pokétopia? Only time will tell, but something grand is waiting for you! So get to it, Trainer! Pokétopia is waiting for you!
RULES:
1. No GMing. We don't want any Mary-Sues or Gary-Sues
2. Maximum of 3 Active Characters per person. Any more needs approval by a GM
3. Pokémon Combat needs to be fair. Don't say that your Squirtle keeps avoiding the attacks of a Loppuny. Its not fair and is very GM-ish. Your Pokémon isn't invincible. I'll be explaining more about combat when prompted.
4. Keep it PG-13!! Romance and Lovey-Dovey stuff is fine, as well as the occasional innuendo, but take smut scenes to PM, please.
5. Some scenes will be time skipped if they drag on too long/get too boring, but most of the time we will RP things through.
6. At the starting-point of the RP, your characters will meet up somewhere and become part of the main group of Trainers. You can decide how to introduce your character to the others, I won't be picky.
7. Don't act GM (ex. Using 1-Hit KO moves all the time. Unless its a certain circumstance, the move will miss. I'll make it clear when the move won't miss)
8. Post at least two paragraphs each time (more is fantastic)
9. GM posts will be announced (these include plot movers, special events or even the death/introduction of a new character)

11. Please make PvP combat fair. It really sucks when somebody unleashes their ultimate power and freezes the other person's foot to the floor, then proceed to just punch the crap out of their immobile opponent. In addition, GM actions (constantly avoiding attacks, 1-hit KO moves) will NOT be allowed inside PvP combat unless approved/announced in a GM event.

Amazing Abilities/Traits: Sparky absolutely refuses to go into a Pokéball and as a result, he just rides around on Nate's right shoulder. Sparky also has a love for human food, specifically Rice Cakes and will actually bite somebody if they try to take it away from him. Along with refusing to enter a Pokéball, Sparky has shown no signs of evolving and seems to really enjoy being a Pichu.

Maxwell believes that he is larger then he looks and has an extraordinary sense of bravery, which often gets him into trouble. He also acts like he is Nate's pet dog.

Amazing Abilities/Traits: Pyro was actually given to Nate (as a Charmander) by a friend of his, Red, when he decided to give up a life of Pokémon Training to become a breeder with his sister, Yellow. Pyro isn't very cautious with his fire and often burns people or things on purpose. He has a bit of a grumpy disposition, as most of the time he longs for a new fight. As a result of his built-up anger and frustration, his foes fear him even more and his attacks become more serious (especially if he's cheesed off).

Nate secretly thinks she would have preferred being born as a Water type over a Grass Type. She'll escape her Pokéball if even a trickle of rain begins to fall, much to Nate's embarassment.

She also loved beauty pageants (much to Nate's distress and suffering) and currently has 6 Blue Ribbons thanks to her performances. She also has a close relationship with Blossom and seems to adore being in the water.

Amazing Abilities/Traits: Ms. Fortune got her name from exactly what she did best: cause misfortune to her foes. She loves being mischievous and dark, loving every time she scares people half to death. However, she can be extremely creepy and terrifying at times, which makes Nate's other Pokémon fear her, even when she's playful.

Amazing Abilities/Traits: Strong and dignified, Serenity acts like a mother figure to Nate and the other Pokémon. She deeply cares for them all and thanks to her psychic abilities, can communicate personally with them all. She can use both telepathy to communicate, as well as speaking the English language (something she learned how to do from reading Nate's mind).

In fact, the Lucario (a Riolu when they first met) decided to join the promising young man's quest to get stronger when Nate saved him from a member of Team Plasma who had tried to capture the Pokémon for his boss.
