Pokemon: Disappearance(IC)

The officer saw the twitch in Champ's eye making his hand tighten a bit until the man wanted to know where he was. His Growlithe shuffled a yawn knowing that the officer was going in-depth about the city.

"We're at the entrance of Jubilife City. A once great city of Sinnoh, and it still is, that fell into decay years ago. If it wasn't for Team Eradicar, Jubilife City would have fallen a long time ago and now a portion of its former glory has been restored!" The Officer's face was animated as he then began a lengthy explanation of important people and places. He mentioned that one of the Elite Four lived within the city and that a Team Eradicar base was also within the city. It was also here that beginner trainers could get their Pokemon training licenses.

The other officer, meanwhile, nodded,"It's not uncommon for Pokemon to steal so you're in luck. I just need your names so we can enter it into the database to find your profiles and then you can enter the city. Once approved then just head down onto the Pokecenter and get the nurse that works there. She'll fix new I.D.s for you."

The officer nodded towards the last officer and he leaped into the booth. After shuffling around he returned with pen and paper.

"Just write your names." The officer offered the pen and pencil.

Still observing, Alex could tell that the officer conversing with the other group was going into a long winded explanation about something or another, but he was being animated about the exposition. At least it seemed that the other group wasn't under interrogation with the exception of meathead who had blundered in with all the finesse of a tank. At the end of the explanation, the third officer went to grab something from the office and came back with pen and paper, offering these to the group.

"Looks like they might just be security guards or something," he said, still maintaining the stage whisper. "Might just be asking for identification, which no one in that group seems to have... So that paper might be a sign-in sheet. So... I think we're safe, so long as we don't act like Champ."

Slowly, he stood back up, hoping that he train of thought was right.

"Stay wary and try not to associate with Champ in front of these guys. They already don't like him; last thing we need is to look like the remains of a frat party."

Jess tilted her head as the boy with the orange weasel spoke to her, smiling slightly at his words. A soft laugh passed her lips, and she nodded subtly. "Well, yes, I suppose that's better than being scared and alone," she chimed in response. Though, she nodded slightly in agreement, biting her lip again nervously. "Yeah.. Agreed..."

Before they could discuss potential various venues, however, Jared took the lead and headed towards the uniformed men. After a moment of hesitance at this, she reluctantly and carefully followed, shying behind the small group with Baelfire creeping along by her feet with precision and caution. She faltered at the sight of the odd Pokemon, alongside the demand of identification.

Admittedly, she was relieved by Ken's cover-up, as she couldn't remember if she'd brought her ID or if it even was valid here. So, she remained quiet, 'til their names were asked for despite. She bit her lip again quietly, something she seemed to do when she got more nervous, and tried to ignore her heavily-pounding heart.

The story on Team Eradicar had piqued her curiosity and intrigued her, but she didn't have it in her to speak up or voice any questions; on this matter, or otherwise. She was too damn timid. And scared. And generally just.. lost. As such, seeing as nobody else in the group was doing it, she hesitantly went to take the offered pen and paper, jotting down her name in fine letters. "Th-there you go.." she murmured.

What more could she do?

All she knew was her Vulpix quite clearly didn't like these men.

"Down, Down!"

Almost instantly, those two words shot Oliver to the earth like a bullet, forcing Julia to stifle a squeak as she suddenly became very acquainted with the earth. Smothering his chin to the earth, he felt as if he was a professional, taking cover from an unknown and dangerous enemy. In a way, it felt as if Champ was a scout, just in case things went awry, how the officer reacted to him would shape how they would approach the officer and so on and so forth. Oddly enough, even though he saw the gun, he didn't back away. This was either extremely brave or extremely foolish, but hey, he couldn't judge, after all, the officer didn't seem THAT bad. He didn't actually take his pistol out, which meant he didn't want to use it...or did he? The human mind felt like a game....where a set number of outcomes are determined by chance and the likelihood of those outcomes occuring based on external factors....if Brand was here, he'd say he was getting too RPG with life, though he ddin't exactly know what he meant by that.

Seeing Alex stand up again, he felt a bit safer, but still felt a bit unsure on his thoughts. Personally, he thought they already kinda looked like the remains of a frat party. "Woah, do we even have a story? If we ain't gonna really associate with Champ then we can always make one up, ya know? And I really don't feel like getting questioned...wherever this-OOMPH!" Julia had, at that time, decided to repay Oliver by acquainting his face with the earth with a pull of string, drowning out his complaint. Her gaze seemed to question, chicken? in a playful, mocking sort of way. Standing up in a huff, Oliver nodded to Julia, ready to go through with this surreal scenario equipped with nothing but a bug monster and his own lack of wit while Julia, as always, String shotted her way up his shoulder.

Shaking her head she would look around and start to wonder if she was drunk, somewhat somewhere she had ended up in a place she did not know. Moving her hand to her head she found a furry thing napping on top of it, she flinched and as she lifted it down she saw a small furry animal. Tilting her head she wonder how it got there or why an wild animal would take a liking to her. She looked it over and then smiled as she started patting it, if a animal liked her this much she may as well keep it as a pet if it wanted to stay. She stood and stretched with the creature in her arms still asleep, she found that it was ridiculously cute and that she hoped it would stay with her for a while as she tried to figure out where to go now. As she stood there pondering about directions she soon figured it was better to just head one and then see where she came... after all if she found a river or road she could always find some kind of path somewhere. Thus she sat out and started walking to see what she would find next... keeping her tools ready in case she would need to defend herself against wild beasts or something.

Brandon had watched the scene play out before him, too entranced by the beauty of the medium sized canines with tiger like qualities. The guard 'Dogs' were elegant and graceful, yet contained a ferocity that could only be explained as pure instinct. It was a sight to behold and the Tall man could not stop himself from squatting down and pulling out his sketch book and six of the coloured pencils before getting to work. It must have been pure luck and coincidence that one of the creatures, the only one with striking blue eyes, had sat down and remained still. As if it could tell what he was doing and decided to humour him by allowing him to draw it. He worked furiously, his black hair falling onto his forehead as he kept moving his head up and down to gaze at the canine and return to sketching.

As the group went through their individual actions, the Ravenette was completely oblivious as he was absorbed into his work. As he focused on the definition of the fur, he could feel something watching him and he paused for a moment to look over his shoulder.

Ran Mao had been curious as to why Brandon had suddenly began scribbling onto the paper and had decided to see what he was doing. As she looked at the picture she could see almost an exact replica of the confident Growlithe that had only just relaxed from the pose he had taken for the drawing. She could feel a small bit of, slightly, irrational jealousy rise in her stomach. She was a bit worried that maybe the tall man would prefer a fire type pokemon, rather than her own proud Fighting type group. As she looked up at Brandon, the slight fear was clear in her soft brown eyes.

Brandon realized that Ran Mao was probably feeling a bit insecure, since he had chosen to draw the guard dog and not her. He gave her an apologetic smile and an affectionate rub at her 'Whiskers' as he spoke to her.

"Relax, I'm not abandoning you little one." He almost whispered before adding "I promise to draw you next, alright?"

This seemed to ease her mood as she seemed to smile as she responded with a bright, "Mienfoo!" 'Alright!'

As he finally looked up from the drawing, which the surprisingly detailed for the amount of time he had used though he planned to flesh it out later, he tuned into the conversation just as Alex spoke of not associating with 'Champ'.

As Brandon stood up once more, after placing his sketch book and pencils in their proper places, weighed the options quickly before speaking to Alex and the boy with the 'Weedle'.

"How about we just say we got lost and don't have identification because we're not from around here. It looks like the have a sign in sheet so we just sign in and hope they point us in the right direction." He said before putting out the bud of his cigarette with the heel of his shoe. After the embers were thoroughly put out, he placed the bud back in the opened pack instead of just throwing it on the floor.

Ken hand was shaking, he didn't know what they would find with his name. He wasn't from here. How The Hell Would they find anything? Ken just sucked up the nerves and walked over to the officer. He took the pen and with a shaky hand. "K...e...n...Marble." He gave a crooked smile to the officer and walked backwards.

Ken didn't know if they would go to jail or something. What the hell is the Pokecenter? What would they have to do there? Ken had so many questions, but nothing would come out. He was sweating and nervous. SMACK!

Champ had a confusing look on his face. The guy was to excited about telling him where he was. He sounded like some Tour Guide. Champ smirked and looked at Timburr. Who was just staring, he could see that even Timburr thought the guy was wierd.

Champ walked a little closer to the guy. "Hey...umm, all that was nice and everything, but I still don't know where I am. I just met some people..." Champ didn't realize the guys and the girl were not with him. "Hey Guys! Come here!" He wondered why they didn't come with him. They had better come now, or he would just picked them all up and bring them over here.

Alex was about to speak up and answer Oliver when Brandon beat him to it. Once more, his pale cheeks tinged red with blush and the nervous stutter came back to his voice.

"Y-yeah. I-I was about t-to say that. It makes sense th-that we wouldn't know where we are if w-we're lost. As l-long as we don't act l-like Champ, we should be..."

He was cut off by Champ calling back to them, effectively ruining their vantage point. Worse still, he had associated them with him and that was something that Alex had been trying to avoid, especially since that guard had threatened his weapon once already. The blush and stutter vanished as quickly as they came, replaced by a scowl as he set Rhys onto the ground. The little dragon pokemon looked up at Alex curiously, having observed the change.

"Well, looks like Champ went and screwed us... Well, we're in this too deep to get out. Might as well go."

He took point heading down the hill to the guard station with Rhys at his heels

Alex finally overcame his fear and quickly scribbled on the paper. The officer lazily walked back into the booth. After a couple of minutes he walked back out putting a seemingly forced smile. The lead officer raised an eyebrow at his subordinate.

"Something's the matter?" The lead officer asked. His Growlithe yawning in boredom.

"They check out. Name's are in the data base with a seal of approval from the President," the officer widen his forced smile.

The lead officer twitched,"Well, it would appear you come from pretty high ranking people, huh?"

Meanwhile, the officer talking with Champ wasn't surprised by people hiding. Wouldn't be the first time that people hide while a drunken friend stumbled out. Though, he had to ask why the man was wearing only trousers. He would also have to fine the man for public indenicy later on, but after a talk with the others.

"No need to be afriad. Just your friendly neighborhood officer!"

Alex was clearly suspicious of the officer and his intentions, having seen them already threaten with what he could now tell was a gun on his belt. He kept his hands open and just off to the side, making sure that nothing that happened from him could be perceived as a threat.

"Neighbourhood of where exactly, officer? We're a bit lost after being in the forest and don't have our bearings."

"I'm almost there, just around the corner-" The pale haired girl told her father, glancing around to see if she could cross the street. All of a sudden, she felt dizzy causing her to quickly fall to the ground in a crouch. Her phone crashed to the concrete and she was positive it was broken.
"Maya?" Her dad's concerned voice shouted on the other line. The girl felt her surroundings begin to blur and felt a slight headache coming on. It was then that she shut her eyes, willing the pain to go away. The darkness was all she saw after that.

------

Light penetrated her sleep making Maya wince as she opened her eyes. Her thoughts were still clouded from the snooze and she didn't know what was going on. She felt strange as she glanced around, noting nothing was familiar. Standing up, Maya grabs her backpack and begins walking, feeling eyes on her as she moved. When the rustling of leaves didn't stop, she whipped around quickly to search her surroundings. Nothing. What the heck was following her? Maya began walking again, slowly this time, listening for any sudden movements.

Then a branch snapped right behind her and she stopped, slowly turning around. A brown ugly rodent thing with large buck teeth and stubby legs glared up at her, causing a croak to bubble up in her throat. Maya backed away cautiously, staring at the thing as if wondering how it could even walk with such short limbs. The creature jumped and Maya screamed, turning tail and running. The ugly rodent was catching up quickly and Maya had no idea how it did. She was a trained athlete and this thing was just a fat ball of brown fluff! As suddenly as it had been chasing her, a blur of pink darted out and tackled the rat-thing off of her trail. The creature like out a squeal of "bi-dooof" before scampering off. Now Maya just had to face the pink thing. She prayed it didn't chase her like the last thing...

Jess only offered a weak smile, shying behind the others and waiting for them to take the lead, silently praying that somebody had her name in this town.. She was doomed, if not. Her life literally depended on it.. In her mind, at least. After all, these people felt more like FBI agents than police officers. She could only imagine whether they were really 'friendly officers' or not... And she didn't like the thoughts that came to mind at the 'or not' part.

She blinked owlishly, however, when their names all were cleared by.. The president?? "Oh, uhh.. Y-yeah!" she stammered, as though she weren't surprised at all. After all, she felt like these people could smell her fear.. Something she didn't like the thought of. So, she tried to gain some confidence to keep from drawing attention... But failed.

Instead, Jess just whispered to Jarrod, Ken, and the others. "Err.. Lead the way," she murmured.

(Bad post because bad day)
