A picture is worth a thousand words, as is often quoted.

How does the picture below speak to you? Perhaps as a poem? Perhaps a roleplay idea? Maybe a story?

Whatever comes to your mind, write those words down! All is well and welcome, whether a couple of sentences or more!

Eira walked to the edge of the cave, her eyes roaming over the expanse of forest below. The war had been won and they were finally free. Over the years the Slayers had slaughtered thousands of dragons and humans alike. If the Allegiance hadn't fought against them those human lives could have been spared. Eira still wondered if it'd been worth it. What would have become of the dragons if they hadn't though. Moving away from the edge, she stepped in front of Ardu. Peering up into the amber eyes of her companion, she raised a hand to run her fingertips along the rough scales covering his snout. They'd lost so much over the past few years. Friends, family; almost everything they cared about, gone forever. She could still see her mother's face each time she closed her eyes, the memory of her causing Eira's chest to ache. Sensing her discomfort Ardu pressed his muzzle further into her palm. Eira smiled at this simple, yet kind gesture. The worry swimming in his eyes told her that yes, it had been worth it. They had been wrong in the beginning, herself included; dragons weren't mindless killers. They had the capacity to feel just the same as humans did. Eira rested her forehead against the space between his nostrils, his breath fanning over her each time he exhaled. Ardu was a beast, a monster to those that didn't understand; but to Eira he was a friend and even more than that, he was family.
