A picture is worth a thousand words, as is often quoted.
How does the picture below speak to you? Perhaps as a poem? Perhaps a roleplay idea? Maybe a story?
Whatever comes to your mind, write those words down! All is well and welcome, whether a couple of sentences or more!

Sails unfurled and wind filled bore
All three ships from Gellen shore
Mighty wings above them sound
As dragons circled round and round

Glory sought for King and Crown
Vengeance all too soon be found
Though Gellen's heart by mischief taken
The dragon lord has now awakened

On yon horizon thieves be seen
Dragons swiftly flew between
Fire fell on foes below
Burning ships in darkness glow

Sails unfurled and wind filled bore
All three ships from Gellen shore
The heart though taken now restored
A Princess fair back to her Lord.

The orange-eyed visitors had insulted the Dragon Lord and yet the dragon-kin were bound by treaty (and by their alliance with the resident duke on this island) not to attack. No flattering words nor gifts had been offered, yet there was a gift the dragons could give them without breaking the treaty or alienating the duke.

After a huge banquet (lasting several hours) in the privacy of their cavern they waited until the ruffians had launched their ships, heading for home, and then they wheeled into the sky over the vessels, targeting their sails and decks.

"This is a gift that won't stop giving for some while," chuckled Sarinar, a magnificent blue dragon with white-veined wings, watching the men below scurry and curse at them in a rage, shaking their fists.

"Yes, but now, I'm hungry again," whined the youngest, as they headed back towards home.

(I almost didn't post this because PoetLore had such a pretty poem, but there it is. The poetic and the profane!)
