Warhammer 40k RTS...IN SPACE

That...if this is could will scratch an itch I didn't know I had
 
So in a nutshell Dawn of War in Space?
I can see it working.

Except the 40k tabletop has a huge lack of space units (for obvious reasons).
So Gameworkshop will really need to work their creativity to make this work.
 
Battlefleet Gothic was a spinoff tabletop game of 40k, so there are a bunch of ship types, they're just really old and in need of updating.

KIND OF LIKE THE IMPERIAL FLEET NYUK NYUK NYUK!

Not really, lorewise GW has a lot of space ships for 40k, they just don't have models of them(for equally obvious reasons)
 
Heh. The Gothic sector of space.

It's not being made by Cyanide so you probably have some hope that this won't turn out buggy and with a terrible interface.

Cyanide are the people in charge of the video game versions of Blood Bowl, that game that Games Workshop hates except when they can license it and make money from the PC version.

Blood Bowl 1 had bad netcode, bad UI, was only 80-90% rules-complete, bad tutorial, some bugs... But it was still the only official place to play Blood Bowl on your computer.
