PINGING: Liberation (OOC/Sign Ups/Interest Check)

Eugh!
since Aiden Pearce is deemed 'too godly' XD for such an event (not that I even wanted to RP him, its just I was bored and WD was what i played last so...)

I'll will make a decision tomorrow, I am loosely rooting for going along with this roleplay, especially since I think I can get a free programming lesson.

I think you should add that to rule 8 to any more WD fans that might pop into this XD. You know, spray a can of anti-WD spray on this Roleplay! (LOL RHYME)

make it say "You can't have it both ways sadly, if your character is an Aiden Pearce who can hack into everything and shoot with perfect accuracy, I'm sorry, but you're not going to be welcome. Hackers don't often spend too much time in the gym, and vice versa."

That will make me LMAO!

Rambo is who I had in the mind at the moment when I wrote that rule, not Aiden, as I'm not sure many people would use him to describe someone yet.

A LOT of people know Aiden Pearce, In fact, so much on this website alone know him that If @OverCast did not know him (since i never asked) he would be the 2nd out of 20 people i asked.

but seriously, stop this WD talk! You are making me feel like i love Aiden Pearce too much XD its making me wish i never bought the game ;-;

Just not who I was thinking of at the time is all.

0.0 I have a CS
and it's NOT FARKING AIDEN PEARCE!
CS:umm.

Background:
for most of his young years, Jonathan spent hunting with his dad, since his mom passed away while he was young, his dad loved hunting with a passion, and sure, killing endless amounts of animals with guns is fine and all, but it gets boring after 14 years. and so, at the age of 15, Jonathan turned his sights on the wonderful world of business, in which he got really good at, he and a bunch of his college buddies started a minor wine-based company called FineWine. after a few years of countless suffering and his buddies losing hope and dropping out, he struck it rich! he made millions off of this one little trick, his buddies quickly became angry at this discovery, and one even went as so far as to try and assassinate him. Which scarred him for life and made him forever paranoid, in which he is to this day...
well, until he found an obsession of chatting online that is!
Technological skills:
+Top-notch protection- Lets face it, Jonathan is rich, so he spares no expense at offering the best security money can buy on his computer, but hey, hackers can combat that!
+Super Security Steps-Jonathan knows the basic steps onto what happens when he his under hacks that his security cannot bypass although most times he tends to panic.
Real world skills:

+Successful businessman: as the CEO of FineWine LLC, which specializes in worldwide distribution and cheap packaging of the biggest and fanciest wines (In other words, whenever a purchase that has anything to do with wine is involved, the company gets money) In other words. means he is filthy stinking rich!
+Firearm specialist: Jonathan is EXTREMLY PARANOID! Which means he personally payed over 2 million dollars just to know how to use guns, not to mention the fact that his young years were spent hunting with his father...OUCH!

I've got a quick question actually, has anyone actually decoded the first message yet?

Wow. Hardcore discussion of Aiden Pierce popped up overnight. My own two sense is that he only knows basics (incredibly high level basics) as he needs other people to help him out and stuff. He knows the stuff he can do on the run, not the hardcore computer stuff.

I'm seriously considering joining although if I do I can't promise I'm a 100% computer nerd. Love computers, know nothing yet about programming. Or hacking. I mean I get the gist of it and you use your fancy code and yeah yeah but I don't know it in depth and stuff.

Needless to say I haven't decoded the message. Woop.

Alright, I kind of wanted to take a quick poll, because this is taking a turn that I was hoping that it wouldn't pretty quickly, though I realize the nature of the RP might have seemed to be encouraging it heavily.

Working on deciphering the code!

I'm having some trouble figuring out the key...

You dont have to bruteforce the key if you're trying to do that.

I used BASE64, and got 'PCC PC' and i am like "I have a feeling thats not what it says"

I wouldn't make it just that simple, there's more than one thing you need to do.

As with the decoding, I looked through a lot of the info on it, since I do a lot of different coding, but I don't understand Base64 very well, oh and a question about the muay tai that my character has, is that too much of a balance of both tech skills and real world skills?

Background: Jack was raised in a middle class family as an only child that had some money, but not a lot. They enjoyed a good time now and then, but mainly it was just work everyday and continue on with life. When he turned thirteen, his parents got together and got him a brand new pc, high RAM, dual core, the works, and since then he has loved to just be on the web. He got into a habit of wanting to know information about people that shouldn't be known. So, he slowly began to increase his knowledge of hacking through firewalls and encrypted networks, starting on his own pc, then to his neighbors wifi, and from there to figuring out traffic systems and proxies etc. His parents both died in a car crash a week he finished college at 22 years old, and he was given 30 days to find a new place to live or keep up the payments. He had no job to make enough money fast enough and began to find a way to sell the info he was able to collect, and from there he began his work of selling illegal info. He now works at a coffee shop to keep up appearances and for some extra side cash that isn't much, but makes him look normal, as well as has quite a few stocks in the coffee market that he tracks and sells back and forth getting a good price and never losing a deal.
Technological skills:
  • Medium infiltration level, can get through any WiFi system up to some office networks. Also the whole traffic system, and some of the electrical system he has figured out and can use it to his advantage
  • Ghost, he uses a program to run around the data streams that is virtually undetectable, and if detected it's traced back to a server in new mexico that isn't owned by anyone. The program looks like fragments left over from deleted files, its name is Ghillie
Real world skills:
  • Stock reader, he can keep track of the stock and why certain prices fluctuate up and down reading it well.
  • Some Muay Tai, but he's only proficient in it, and isn't very strong compared to the rest in his class.
  • Excellent cook(He has t cook for himself, and hates to have bad tasting food)

Nothing is completely untraceable, they might find that server, but then just be able to crack into that and see everything, keep that at the forefront of your mind when considering things.

As for the Muay Tai, you might want to just drop it because this is a world that augmentations have started to become a reality, fighting styles don't mean much to a man with arms that can punch through concrete.

I said virtually untraceable, everything is traceable and I know that, but meaning as that its quite hard to find, although if the server is found that puts a crack in his plans and he will have to use a backup server with a copy of the program. As for the muay tai okay, just curious, because technique can still beat brute force its just how you go about it.

I think with a punch like that, deflecting or blocking it may cause just as much damage really.

Ouch true, could it possibly changed to something like say, fast runner with a lot of endurance?? Cross country running would be the closest thing in words.

*processing*
I am sorry I did not even know I had a CS here!!!(long story)
That biography needs to be fixed.
And I shall start on that message decoding...tomorrow!
Looking foward to this!

That would probably work best Soul, it's just kind of a skill that is a bit redundant with the technology we're talking about in this.
